AHSOKA TANO HISTORY:
Ahsoka Tano was Anakin Skywalker's Padawan. Discovered by Master Plo
Koon, Ahsoka was a Togruta girl who was raised in the Jedi Temple.
She graduated to Padawan at an early age, in part, as an effort by
Master Yoda to teach her new Master, Anakin Skywalker, a greater
sense of responsibility, but the Clone Wars also necessitated it.
Regardless the reason for her advancement, Ahsoka remained eager,
almost overly so, to prove herself worthy of her status as a Padawan.
As a result of her
rigorous education, Ahsoka tended to play most situations closer to
the book than did Anakin, but she quickly learned that sometimes
there's no substitute for a healthy dose of Anakin's derring-do.
Straddling the chasm between Anakin's passionate impulsiveness and
Obi-Wan's staid deliberation, Ahsoka held much promise.

HISTORY
Just as the characters created for the exciting new cartoon serial
The Clone Wars, started out as a pencil sketches, so did the weapons
they wield. Ahsoka's lightsaber was first sketched in all views,
approved by Director Dave Filoni, and then passed along to the
digital modelers to construct.
Depending on the scene
and how large or small the lightsaber and/or characters appear in
it, determines the level of detail built into each model. And so
there exist different models with differing levels of detail. The
computer only needs to build what the eye can see, and so using
highly detailed models for every scene takes up valuable rendering
time and makes no sense.
For our recreation of
Ahsoka's lightsaber we were given high-res renders and the original
sketches from which we designed our replica. Accounting for the
"real world" size of a lightsaber as they appeared in the Star Wars
movies, we scaled Ahsoka's saber to match and picked up the details
she had copied from Anakin's and Obi-Wan's sabers, in tribute to her
teachers.
PRODUCT REVIEW
This is quite an interesting choice on the part of eFX to debut this
character for their prop replica line. After actually inspecting the
piece in hand, it is clear to see this is just as high quality as
the previous Master Replicas sabers. Ahsoka's saber will not stand
out or look awkward with your existing collection pieces.
Collector's can look forward to the same, if not better level of
excellence and craftsmanship. In fact, a collector might conclude
this piece to be a more sound investment due to eFX's ability to
make an exclusive, exclusive.
