INTRODUCTION
Press the base to hear the entire scene of dialogue from Episode V -
“The Empire Strikes Back” that begins with “What is thy bidding, my
Master?” Darth Vader asks kneeling respectfully before the
holographic image of Emperor Palpatine. They have both felt a great
disturbance in the Force; Palpatine believes that Anakin Skywalker's
son is the cause. Vader suggests bringing Luke over to the dark side
to make him a powerful ally. “He will join us or die,” Vader vows to
his master.
Darth Vader is one of the many repack figures without a removable
helmet but comes with his lightsaber. The Holographic Emperor head
is a new sculpt just for this set. Holographic Emperor lights up
when connected to the base. The base lights up blue when the button
is pushed and playa the entire dialogue between Darth Vader and the
Emperor from “The Empire Strikes Back.”
Darth Vader: [stepping down on one knee in front of the
Emperor's hologram] “What is thy bidding, my master?”
Emperor Palpatine: “There is a great disturbance in the Force.”
Darth Vader: ”I have felt it.”
Emperor Palpatine: “We have a new enemy, the young Rebel who
destroyed the Death Star. I have no doubt that this boy is the
offspring of Anakin Skywalker.”
Darth Vader: “How is that possible?”
Emperor Palpatine: “Search your feelings, Lord Vader. You know
it to be true. [pauses] He could destroy us.”
Darth Vader: He is just a boy. Obi-Wan can no longer help him.
Emperor Palpatine: “The Force is strong with him. The son of
Skywalker must not become a Jedi.”
Darth Vader: “If he could be turned, he would become a powerful
ally.”
Emperor Palpatine: [intrigued] “Yes... He would be a great
asset. Can it be done?”
Darth Vader: “He will join us or die, master.”
NOTE: When the hologram is disconnected from the base,
only the first line of the dialogue is played - "What is thy
bidding, my Master?"
To play the entire
dialogue you have to have the base connected to the holographic
Emperor.
