INTRODUCTION
The third figure in the growing line of Ultimate Quarter Scale figures is none other than that crazy old wizard Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Obi-Wan Kenobi stands 19-inches tall, featuring voice and sound effects,
multi-layered cloth costumes, hyper-realistic sculpt and over
twenty-five points of articulation. Includes a display stand for
Obi-Wan Kenobi as he guards your collection.
By pushing on the stomach you can hear Obi-Wan Kenobi say the following:
- "Mos Eisley Spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of
scum and villainy. We must be cautious."
- "You don't need to see his identification."
- "These are not the droids your looking for."
- "That's no moon! It's a space station."
- "You can't win, Darth. If you strike me down, I shall become more
powerful than you can possibly imagine."
-"“The Force will be with you...always."
Obi-Wan Kenobi comes with the following accessories: Jedi Robe, Lightsaber with removable blade, Training Remote on stand, and an extra pair of hands.
On the side of the package is a nice piece by Dave Dorman. For the third release in this quarter Scale line of dolls I can say that Obi-Wan Kenobi is well deserved. Sure he has a simple outfit but he is a Jedi Master who watched over Luke Skywalker as he was growing up making sure he was safe from the evil clutches of Emperor Palpatine.
The quality control on these figures is good but not great. Obi-Wan Kenobi can hold a pose and stands on his own two feet. As for accessories they were a good choice but there is one small problem. The lightsaber included is Obi-Wan
Kenobi's but not from Episode IV - A New Hope. Instead Diamond Select opted to use his lightsaber from Episode III – Revenge Of The Sith which is too bad on their part since on Obi-Wan
Kenobi's belt he has a hook to hang his lightsaber and well, you cannot do that with the lightsaber included.
Until the next release of the Ultimate Quarter Scale, have fun with the Force and
maybe you can do as Obi-Wan says... in not time you will be a Jedi.
