INTRODUCTION
Second only to Jedi Grand Master Yoda, Mace Windu's wisdom, strength and tactical expertise made him a perfect candidate for the Jedi High Council. The remarkably
Force-sensitive Windu not only pioneered the modern use of Vaapad, the lost seventh form of lightsaber combat, he was also on e of a few Jedi able to utilize the devastating Force Crush without succumbing to the Dark Side.
Diplomatic in every sense of the word, Mace Windu's affinity for the Force allowed him to sense the shatter points in people, places and situations. This afforded him insight into the machinations of then-Chancellor Palpatine, though Windu was not able to devise the true nature of the
tyrant's involvement with Anakin Skywalker. After finally confronting the Sith Lord, it was eventually young Skywalker that turned the tide of battle and led to
Windu's demise at Palpatine's hands. His death marked the beginning of the Great Jedi Purge!
This nineteen-inch Ultimate Quarter Scale of Mace Windu features his appearance in Star Wars: Episode III
- Revenge of the Sith. Including his signature lightsaber with removable blade, Jedi Training screen, two interchangeable hands, fully layered cloth costume and a display stand. With a push of a button on his chest Mace Windu speaks electronic phrases from the film.
Being the fourth release in the Ultimate Quarter Scale dolls I can honestly say that Mace Windu has hit a home run and no not with Jango
Fett's head. The likeness of Sam Jackson is superb as well are the details in this doll. Diamond Select Toys has listened to the fans with some of the problems with the first three releases of this line. Though the chest is still top heavy with the batteries installed so the chest needs to be tightened up just a little but that is not really a big deal. That is why you have to use the included stand, Mace Windu as all the past Ultimate Quarter Scale dolls will not stand up on their own very well without the stand.
The accessories are great. I really like the detail on the lightsaber but the sad thing is Mace Windu cannot hang his signature lightsaber on his belt. There is no lightsaber holder.
You can change out his hands with the included pair. I see no reason for them unless Mace Windu is playing paper rock scissors. I figure most people would use the gripping hands so he can hold his lightsaber or the Jedi training screen.
Besides a few very minor issues I have to say that this version of Mace Windu is a nice piece to be added to any collection. I look forward to future releases in this line of Ultimate Quarter Scale dolls.
