INTRODUCTION
Darth Maul stands 19-inches tall and has sound effects, three accessories, and 23 points of articulation!
By pushing on his stomach you can hear Darth maul say the following:
- "Tatooine is sparsely populated. If the trace was correct, I will find them quickly, Master"
- "At least we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge"
- "Yes, my Master"
- and Lightsaber sound.
He comes with the following accessories. On the package it says
"MAGNETIC" there are no magnets on this item or any of the accessories. Instead the lightsaber is held together with a snap on piece that plugs into the end of the lightsaber halves to make the double bladed lightsaber.
Accessories:
- Dual-Blade Lightsaber that comes apart to make his cut in half saber. Blades are also removable.

- Alternate Left Hand with attached Wrist-Link
- Display Stand
- Multi-Layered Cloth Costume: Hooded Cloak, Belt, Sith Robe, Sith Tunic, Pants
On the package side there is an art piece by artist Dave Dorman.
The articulation is at: the neck, shoulders, wrists, torso, waist with
hip ball joints, forearms, thighs, calf swivel joints, double knee and
ankle hinge joints. For all of this articulation the pose ability is not that great. The joints only allow for a certain range of movement and you cannot get many dynamic poses with this doll. One of the main down falls of this doll is that the joints are very weak and Darth Maul will not stand up on his own accord. You have to use the included display stand for him to stand properly. The upper torso where the battery compartment and speak is located is top heavy. Darth Maul has the tendency to slump over at the top part of his torso. To fix this I wedged a piece of cardboard into the large gap where the torso joint is thus letting Darth Maul to stand up instead of slouch.
Based on what I have experienced with this item, it is detailed nicely (cloth and accessories), painted superbly but the weak articulation and joints is a let down. This is nothing more than an oversized doll with sounds. I can only hope the production of this line will improve. So is it worth collecting this line? Yes, if you like this kind of item but I will let you decide.
