INTRODUCTION
New for the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars are a new concept for both
Star Wars fans and Comic Book fans alike. Hasbro has introduced new
Star Wars Comic Book 2-packs. The figures are painted in the comic
style.
WAVE 1
Though all repacked figures Hasbro introduces the line with the
first wave that includes classic characters.
Star Wars #1
- Darth Vader (with Probe Droid) & Rebel Officer
The fearsome Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader stops at nothing in
his mission to recover the plans for the Death Star, a fact that
this Rebel Trooper learns to his deep misfortune.
Star Wars #2
- Governor Tarkin & Stormtrooper
Governor Tarkin commands a personal contingent of elite
Stormtroopers aboard the Death Star, each one personally cleared and
handpicked by the Governor himself.
Star Wars #3
– Chewbacca & Han Solo (Stormtrooper)
In a daring – some would say reckless and ill-advised plan to rescue
Princess Leia from the Imperial clutches, Han Solo poses as a
Stormtrooper and Chewbacca as a prisoner aboard the Death Star.
SUMMARY
For the comic book style that these figures represent they are
nicely done. It is something fresh to the Star Wars line of action
figures though they are all re-packed figures from the past. They
are whimsical and fun. Wave two will continue with more figures such
as Luke Skywalker (Stormtrooper) and R2-D2.
