CANTINA BAND
MEMBERS FROM WALT DISNEY WORLD 2007
Figrin D'an and the Modal
Nodes entertain the customers in the Mos Eisley cantina with lively
music. They play without pause over the sounds of blaster fire,
which is heard all too often in this seedy hotspot. The band
includes front man Figrin D'an on his Kloo Horn, Doikk Na'ts on the
Fizz, Ickabel G'ont on fanfare, Tech Mo'r with his Omni Box, and
Nalan Cheel on the bandfill. Whatever trouble erupts in the cantina,
the Modal Nodes keep on spinning their tunes for the crowd.
Each band member of The Modal Nodes is a repainted figure from the
1997 POTF2 Cantina Band Member figure now with soft goods and as the
same as the Wal-Mart Cantina Band Tin (spring 2007). This set
includes five individual figures each with a different instrument
and a section of the sound and light base.
Each figure is on the same card package and each figure is simply
known as Cantina Band Member. Hasbro and Disney did not name each
character.
Each section of the display base that comes with each band member
figure lights up with a blue light and plays a segment of the
Cantina theme music. It is designed to fit together with other bases
to create a stage environment.
At $14.95 a figure you might ask is the price worth it? A basic Star
Wars action figures if $6.99 so that is half the cost. So the
question is, is the base worth the other $7.96? That all depends on
who you ask. I would say yes the figures are worth the price since
it is a Disney exclusive. You are paying for the park in the price.
I am happy with this selection of figures. Though one is paying a
bit more for the same figure, you get a really cool light and sound
stage base.
