ULTIMATE GALACTIC HUNT 2007
2007 marks the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars. To commemorate this anniversary Hasbro decided to give collectors a chase to collect twelve special gold coins known as the Ultimate Galactic Hunt. The twelve figures chosen for the gold coin pack-ins are nothing special, just twelve repacked 30th Anniversary Collection figures that sport a new golden logo and special gold coin.

The twelve figures and coins are as follows:
#02 Galactic Marine (Clone Trooper)
#04 R2-D2 (Astromech Droid)
#06 Mace Windu (Jedi Master)
#07 Airborne Trooper (Clone Trooper)
#09 Ralph McQuarrie Concept Stormtrooper
#11 Han Solo (Smuggler)
#12 Luke Skywalker (Yavin Ceremony)
#14 Biggs Darklighter (Rebel Pilot)
#15 Ralph McQuarrie Concept Boba Fett
#16 Darth Vader (Sith Lord)
#21 Ralph McQuarrie Concept Chewbacca
#24 Animation Debut: Boba Fett

Then there is a thirteenth coin not part of the 2007 Ultimate Galactic Hunt but still in a golden color. This figure is the Dark Trooper, which is the Fan’s Choice figure.

When all twelve or thirteen coins are collected depending on how you look at it you might wonder how to display these coins in your collection. You could put them in the 30th Anniversary Coin Album but if you have collected all the other exclusive coins you will see they will not fit in it unless you take out the silver versions of these coins. I did not want to do that so I made my own display board for all twelve UGH coins and the golden Dark Trooper coin.

Overall Hasbro are making collector’s go crazy in trying to collect all twelve golden coins if that is your thing. Many collectors like this sort of thing many do not. I personally do not like chase figures but I can live with it. Hasbro did say that in 2008 there will be NO Ultimate Galactic Hunt figures since collectors have voiced their opinions from the last two years.

May the Force Be With You in all your Collecting Needs.
