Obi-Wan’s Starfighter and Hyperspace Ring
Toys-R-Us Exclusive 2007 $35.99

Jedi Starfighters are too small to have hyperdrive engines so they use hyperspace rings to travel at hyperspeed. This hyperspace ring has twin reactors and ion drives to transport it and the Jedi Starfighter through hyperspace. The Jedi can keep the mobility of their starfighters and still conduct far-reaching missions. Obi-Wan Kenobi uses a hyperspace ring while traveling to Kamino then then while tracking Jango Fett to the remote planet of Geonosis. Here is where the start of the Clone Wars began. The Jedi Starfighter were used throughout the Clone Wars along with newer models as the war progressed.

With this Jedi Starfighter there is a little thin and flimsy plastic clear piece. DO NOT THROW IT AWAY! This clear piece of thin plastic is used to hold up the back end of the Jedi Starfihter while on display with the Hyperspace Ring.

The Jedi Starfighter is the same as all the “Attack of the Clones” model starfighters. The new addition of the Hyperspace Ring is an all new and attaches to the Jedi Starfighter very well. It is a shame that Hasbro did not make this piece back when “Attack of the Clones” toys were just coming out. Overall it is a very nice piece and a welcomed addition to a collection.

One thing that this Toys-R-Us Exclusive toy lacks is something that all the 2007 Toys-R-Us Exclusive vehicles have had, a pilot figure. For what this exclusive toy is Hasbro and Toys-R-Us should have put in a Pilot Obi-Wan Kenobi figure.

Overall I am very pleased with this rehash vehicle with the new Hyperspace Ring.
