INTRODUCTION
The TIE Bomber is a destructive workhorse, capable of carrying various payloads including concussion missiles and proton bombs. Like its relative, the TIE Fighter, the TIE Bomber has a pair of solar array wings. Between those wings are twin cylinders; one is the cockpit and the second is the weapons bay. What it lacks in speed, it makes up for in precision targeting that eliminates the intended objective with little or no collateral damage.

First off the package for the TIE Bomber does not have the diorama backdrop that most of the Star Wars vehicles have been coming with.

This TIE Bomber has been updated from the previous versions that we have gotten in the past. The pods of the TIE Bomber are completely redesigned. It still has the opening cockpit to hold one Imperial TIE Pilot (not included) and dropping bombs but with a twist. This version now incorporates the removable "ejection" seat as we have seen with the more recent upgraded TIE Fighters. Another new addition to this TIE Bomber is that the weapons bay not only drops bombs but now also shoots a firing front missile. The mechanics to drop the bombs is no longer just a push of a button that is for the front firing missile. No to drop the bombs you now have to turn the rear dial part of the pod. To insert the bombs into the TIE Bomber the hole has been replace with a sliding hatch, plus the TIE Bomber got an slightly updated paintjob as well, yes it is still a light blue grey in color.

The enhanced TIE Bomber is a welcomed vehicle to the 30th Anniversary of "The Empire Strikes Back" line of toys for the year to come.
