INTRODUCTION

* The only difference between the two-shared exclusives is what sticker is on the front of the package, JediCon or Star Wars Celebration 5.

For 2010 Hasbro decided to make it the year for the older collector, when I say older I mean those who grew up with the Original Trilogy and the toys that came to stores during those times, it was not Hasbro but Kenner.

2010 marks the 30th Anniversary of “The Empire Strikes Back” and to start off the 2010 Vintage line we get 4-LOM and Zuckuss. While 4-LOM and Zuckuss are now quite well known to fans, their proper names were initially a topic of considerable debate. When Kenner first produced the figures, the names somehow got reversed. But since these two bounty hunters were not identified in the film, the switch was not immediately noticed. When the mix-up was finally caught and corrected in 1989, Zuckuss and 4-LOM finally got back their rightful identities.

4-LOM I mean Zuckuss, in the movie you can see his outfit is dark brown. Hasbro for this release went back and gave him the lighter tan colors as on the original vintage figure.

I feel the return of the vintage style is nice but I can foresee a lot of complaining ahead. No j-hook on the packages will mean many, many damaged cards and the carded collector will have a hard time in finding a nice package for their collection, but this is what the older “vintage” collectors wanted and Hasbro is delivering.

This action figure 2-pack is a nice start to things to come in 2010 and 2011.
