Spice: With such limited screen time and an early demise in Revenge of the Sith, Troopers everywhere have clamored for more background information on General Grievous. The big H really delivered an uppercut with the pre-cyborg version styled warlord. Expanded universe fans will rejoice, scream and shout if they are one of the lucky who have been able to score this figure at retail. They loaded him up with plenty of weapons and accessories, another example of the many facets of upside this release contains.

I really dig the bone mask passed down from the ancestors of his home world of Kaleesh. The paint scheme and color blend was completely off the charts. The dynamic detail and incredible craftsmanship demonstrated almost made me wonder was this really manufactured by Hasbro. The sword conceals perfectly on his back, and I can really appreciate the symbol being carried over on the back of the cape. We can only wonder what exactly happened to the General to make him more machine than being.

If the amazing sculpt, paint and weapons weren't enough to put this thing over the top, much like a Ginsu knife there is much more! You can remove the mask to reveal the kisser of one of the most outstanding military leaders in all of the outland. The fact he stands tall over most humanoid figures makes you wonder why Anakin would make that stupid short joke during their confrontation in Episode III. I really liked this figure, it's so refreshing to see alternative concepts vs. another dull core character re-release that we don't need. We can only wish for more creativity and diversity in the future of this fantastic line.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Spice - If there was something wrong with this one, I just didn't see it. If you don't think this is worth adding to your collection, perhaps you should see out professional help.

+   Great design and superior paintwork.
-   His body is a tad awkward which can create standing problems.

Once you got thru the initiation of having all your skin boiled off you the whole Sith thing is no big deal!
