second review from the T.A.C. Collection will take longer to read than you will
see on screen in Episode III, but nonetheless this was a pretty solid choice for
an action figure. This is something we hope Hasbro is starting to get, people
would rather see a newer figure even though the character only took up a few
frames of film. The artwork on the card is another masterpiece. The extra effect
of the splashing lava isn't the only reminder that will let you know this figure
is hotter than Mustafar itself. |

armor built from the shells cast off from their lava fleas, combined with enough
breathing apparatus to make Zukuss appear simplistic, the Lava Miner is
everything fans want in an action figure. Mystery. The first thing that really
grabs your eye is the scale. I would even guess it could have been a little
larger scale after watching the scenes a few more times. If you were to compare
him to Obi-Wan you'll see he's a little larger in size, so it's good to see they
were at least thinking about it. If there was something I didn't like was the
bull-legged that really restricts or helps confine him to one certain stance. |

else was pretty much great other than the legs, but they put in articulation all
over the place to help you position the lava mining tool. This really helps you
forget about the legs! The accessory was also
well done, no pun intended but I really did like the way it snaps into the tool
and is very secure. I guess you wouldn't want to spill molten lava! It was great
to see the folk at Hasbro didn't make an ash of themselves and even included it
in splotches on the lower body. Amazing touch even though you'd never see it in
the film! I have to say I'd much rather have a brand new figure that has never
been done vs. another Obi-Wan or Darth Vader, which they started this collection
with! |
FINAL
THOUGHTS:
 |
Spice -
It's figures like
this most of us would like to see. I thought for sure the thirtieth would mean
more Han Solo, Chewbacca and many other figures we already have too
much of. This
figure will fit in great with the loose dioramas and Mustafar playsets.
One thing is for sure, you'll probably want two in an attempt to
recreate the scene accurately. I think this will be well received by
collectors. |

A great
choice, very original! |

I didn't care for the bull-legged
feature, unless they packed it with the Lava Flea! |

Great
detail in the paintjob! |

I
really like the extra effort put into the mining tool was really cool,
but yet so hot! |
