Big and bad but is it to be had? Click thumbnail for large image
Spice: The thirtieth anniversary collection rolls on and wave 5 is perhaps the best we have seen in years from any collection. There hasn't been a figure this large or heavy since the Saga line and the massive Ephant Mon was in the scope of our BFG's! It could only be from Jabba's palace yet another large creature could be spawned. If you are lucky enough to find one of these bad boys retail, you can only hope to locate one in pristine condition. With the larger package and lazy store employees, this figure is more susceptible to card bends. So far this figure has had more shelf life than screen time, which may launch Hermi Odle into the hard to find category.

There is little doubt this is one ugly Baragwin, and to my recollection this is the first time we've seen this species in plastic. After looking at the cardback artwork both front and back, you wonder where Hasbro got all the purple from in the paint scheme? It appears to be more green than purple if you were judging from the package shots. You almost could say they could have put a little more detail into the eyes as they seem a little difficult to see. However the tongue hanging out, rotation on the head really help give this character some unique identity. The weapon is pretty much standard for Jabba's cronies, which makes me wonder why they didn't attempt something different with accessories.

There was a great deal of detail put into the figure even though they seemed to have missed his skin tone. The mouth opening and closing was a great touch. The raggedy robe is a another, and the material seems to be of somewhat decent quality. Many of the Jedi robes and such tend to fray after being removed from the plastic prisons. I'm just wondering why they didn't make the cape removable, I could see a kid (who these are all made for) ripping this off quite easily. A collector will really admire the extra articulation they added to the shoulders, legs and feet. This makes for a variety of poses, unlike the plastic blob Ephant Mon seems to be.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Spice - Overall I still have to say this is one great figure. Fans are always looking to add characters they have never made to their collections. Hermi Odle is just another fine example of why we don't need another Han Solo. Kudos to the big H for making sure his feet were long enough to keep him standing up!

+   Awesome choice, very original character!
-   I think they missed the skin color bad.
+    Good job making the feet almost too long, the figure stands and poses very well.
+    Makes a great addition to any Jabba the Hutt throne room diorama!
