Castle: After years of ignoring the fans screaming for this figure, Hasbro finally comes through and produces it. This has been one of the most often asked for figures in the entire line, and it's for a character who doesn't even appear in the films. At least, not in this uniform, anyway. It was nice of Hasbro to finally listen to the fans and produce something that has been asked for.

Biggs Darklighter was one of Luke's childhood friends. Joining the Rebellion later on in life, he was first involved with the Imperial Academy. This is the uniform that he wore to the academy. Again, while not seen in the film itself, there is a cut scene from A New Hope that shows Biggs in this uniform having a conversation with Luke atop a hill at Anchorhead. This figure is based on that cut scene. The likeness on this figure is quite good from the footage that I've seen of that cut scene, and I applaud Hasbro for not re-using the Biggs Darklighter head from the X-Wing Pilot figure, instead opting to go ahead and create a new one for the ball jointed neck style.

This figure is a decent representation of Biggs, although I have to question why Hasbro would go with a pair of legs that doesn't have any knee articulation. In this day and age, any figure that gets released without the full range of articulation is a dud in my book. And this figure, for no other reason, falls into this category to me. Like I said above, the ball jointed head that Hasbro has "switched" over to is a good improvement over the old style necks.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Castle - A nice addition to your collection, and a figure that fans have been asking to be made for quite some time. Could use a better pair of legs, but overall a worthwhile figure to find.

+   Excellent work to the upper torso and limbs.
-   I'm not sure if you could get away with a shirt like that even in the 70's!
-   Legs could have been done much better.
+   Fans have been begging for this figure for years, thanks Hasbro!
