Spice: The fans cried more Troopers and Hasbro continues to meet the demand. The Airborne Trooper was a vital part of Commander Cody's 212th Attack Battalion. They kept the Battle Droids busy while Obi-Wan dealt with the fleeing General Grievous and were one of the first to open fire on the unsuspecting Jedi when Order 66 came down. For months we've had a chance to stockpile the basic orange Clone Trooper, now the race is on once again to see who can put together the ultimate squad. I just can't say enough about the newer packaging, it reminds you of a sixty degree March spring breeze.

They could have called him Capt. Bada#$ too! Click thumbnail for large image
The most intriguing aspect about this variation of Clone Trooper is the bell-shaped helmet. They even went as far to put battle scoring into the paint, and yes I understand they merely switched up paint and parts but the color really sets it apart from the previous version. The minor differences like the inverted aerators on the helmet, ammo on the shoulders combined with the battle pouch, this guy just screams lethal. I really like the way they included a concealment feature for the pistol in the pouch.

Didn't miss a trick! Click thumbnail for large image
Once again they didn't miss a trick and even used the head mold that isn't cross-eyed. The fact they realize the collectors would rather have this feature on the clones and we're seeing it more and more speaks volumes. Who cares if the kids they claim to be making these for loose them? The only flaw I can find is posing him in a crouching stance but you can maneuver the leg behind the cape to pull it off. I can only hope we see as many of these as we did the other orange Clone, seeing they're packed two to a case at this time, tracking him down shouldn't be too rough but I still say they could have done four to a case easily. We can only hope for the invasion to continue!

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Spice - I almost want to say I wish they'd made this a couple years ago, as I'd like to think they'd stick with Episode IV figures to stay in line with the 77-07 theme. However if it's something like this I can warrant spending the near eight dollars.

+   A sound choice for a well deserving Clone Trooper!
-   I think four to a case would have been a better start.
+    Great detail in the paintjob!
+    If we can't have never made Episode IV figures, I'll take a Trooper like this anytime!
