Spice: We begin our first review of wave two simply because I'm going to employ the if you don't have something nice to say tactic with the remains of the wave one! This is an example of rehashing a character in a proper manner. Hasbro did not simple slap the old General Veers that was packaged with the PotF AT-AT and put it in a new shiny wrapper. What we have here is brand new creation of one of the most notable Generals in the Galactic Empire. I really like the package layout and with the removable armor clearly in view, Troopers can see right away they are  getting something new.

Ok this is one we can let slide! Click thumbnail for large image
I can't say anything very bad about the overall facial likeness as well as the colors of the armor matching the rest of his clothes. The additional accessories of the helmet and chest plate make it possible to add an entire new dimension to the figure. A low point could be the rolling elbow arms, which we all are aware by now fall off very easily. Once again further proof they are not concerned as they say they are about making these "toys" for children. However I will take this vs. some of the other trilogy mainstays that continue to clutter up stockrooms and pegs.

Coming clean and looking good this time around. Click thumbnail for large image
The fact they missed on the arms is compensated for in the wonderful job they did on on the head. Which if any of you do recall, they really butchered the last time around with the over-sized head. You can't really tell he has another hat on his head with the helmet on, which is great seeing as I thought the smaller hat would come off on first inspection. An area where I think they did very well was adding the holster that actually holds the weapon. While we didn't see him fire any shots, I think it's very good they went out of the way to add that in. There is also some limited articulation in the knees, they do not bend, but you can swivel them from the boot down.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Spice - I would much rather this vs. paying another five to seven dollars for a sliver of a plastic knife like I would have if I purchased Bib Fortuna. Hasbro needs to take a look and know what people think of the entire line. I think the general consensus is we all want new product. General Veers isn't so new, but it's been so long since the previous release, entire new look is acceptable now.

+    I really like the removable armor, should be a standard on all Officers.
-    There are still many Imperials that have never been done!
+     They did an incredible job on his kisser!
-    I think the direction of the Saga collection is in poor taste given the success of RotS.
