never thought I could champion the cause of seeing another core character
re-release but C-3P0 is perhaps a suitable exception. The simple fact will jump
out at you the minute you pick up the package and recognize the familiar
Redwood, ahem Endor forest in the immediate background. Other than old goldenrod
himself staring you in the face, the "throne" in which he's seated in
will more than likely warm the hearts of any collector. If they are paying
tribute to a key movie scene and improving upon what was already available then
perhaps making another C-3P0 is worth our money. |

action figure itself is truly one for the ages and will really show you how far
along they have come in only a few years in terms of detail. While the disappointing
VOTC version should have been the greatest to date, I was a very big fan of the
Revenge of the Sith version. This figure seems to even surpass the quality they
instilled in that version that was so great. In fact, we're so lucky to see it on the pegs
again in the greatest hits assortment. That figure was a lot more shiny vs. this
one. I could only speculate the moon of Endor took away some of the professor's
shine. The torso really jumped out at me with the added extra movement that
really does make that much of a difference. Especially for posing a character
like C-3P0 whose movements were very mime due to the costume restrictions. |

just enough tweaks are made does this warrant another six-plus dollars? I have to
say yes when you really can see how great the pack-in throne is. Most will
notice right away how much of an improvement this is since we haven't seen one
since the vintage line with the Ewok Village. I'm sure most Troopers remember
even then how the legs didn't quite fit snug in the chair. Don't worry about that
happening here, thank the maker history does not repeat itself. You'll see the
bendable knees as well as massively articulated hips really make for an overall
great figure. |
FINAL
THOUGHTS:
 |
Spice -
It's C-3P0 and you'd
think after this many times there isn't much they could do to warrant additional
money out of your pocket. The extra length was taken and I
really have to say as much as I'd like to see another "new"
figure, there are worse we have already spent our money on! |

If there
was something they lacked I missed it. |

Only thing not included
was the Force to make it levitate! |

If
enough improvement is made, it's worth redoing. |

Seems to be an odd
choice, even though they did a great job with it. |
