I asked and I did receive. We got a new sculpt, and figure complete with old
weapons from 2002, the year this figure should have been released. While the card background is only a reminder of the line they should be making now, it is only evident that Hasbro realizes the fans; the people who continue to drive up profits for Hasbro really want prequel figures.
It simply blows me away that they are so stuck on making Trilogy figures, which most the time consists of core characters nobody seems to care for anymore.
They gave up on Attack of the
Clones and Revenge of the Sith figures to return to Luke and Darth Vader. |

biggest thing that will jump out at you on this the color scheme used here.
There is a blend of colors used in the clothing/armor that really stand out
versus the skin tones and it really doesn't look Fac'd up. The only thing I
could put it close to was the Geonosian Warrior which was a big time shelf
warmer back in 2002. A notable sculpt difference would be the horns protruding
from the shoulders seem to be pointing away from the head vs. wrapping around.
This is a little bit like the deluxe version. The horn in the back of the figure
doesn't seem to be quite as long either. |

present at the execution of Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala would force one
to be extra decked out, and they really do quite a bit to make this figure stand
out against the other Geonosian figures that have been released to date. The
fact they didn't cheap out on even the belt accessory makes me wonder why they
have to re-use so many of the other body parts and weapons. The choices of weaponry are also noted as a plus with the moveable and fully pose able set of wings.
The biggest downfall is perhaps like the rest of this species, it is
quite a process to get one of these guys to hold still for a photo. |

It's everything I ask
for in a new release. The only thing you really get from other
releases could be the weapons and the wings. It's pretty sad we were
thrown Bespin Luke and Vader, Endor Soldiers and other rehashes when
we could have been seeing Sun Fac and other aspects of key ingredients
from the Clone Wars. Too bad we are only seeing a wave vs. an entire
collection. |

We deserve every figure
to be completely new, not just a wave here and there. |

They could have
made one of these bugs stand up! |
