Spice: One of the major highlights of this wave has to be the Elite Corps Clone Trooper. If you are lucky enough to stumble upon this figure via the local action figure aisle or manage to find it in stock at an online retailer, there is no doubt this will be one of the rougher finds in the last few waves of the Saga Collection. They did another fantastic job with the artwork on the card, you can almost feel the sand from the beaches of Kashyyyk. While you could just say it's just the VTSC Biker Scout with a fancy paint job, well I guess that would just be too easy!

Why twelve for the VTSC version? Click thumbnail for large image
The most noticeable aspect is the green lenses on the helmet. If paint was all they would change, they did a great job in the color selection. They couldn't have gotten any closer to having the right shade. I can truly appreciate the blend on the camouflage pattern. It's done so evenly you can't really complain that there is a lack of dirt or battle damage. I really do like the way the lighter color the under suit off-sets the overall look of the uniform. I think if they used a solid black it would have looked too much like a Biker Scout, and we all know if there IS a weak link in the Empire....

You gotta love a guy with green lenses! Click thumbnail for large image
I also was very pleased that they didn't cheap out and use an older mold such as the Power of the Jedi version of the Biker Scout. It really does make you wonder why it was $12 for the VTSC figure. Is a plastic clamshell really worth a near additional $5?  Or if we did overpay then why not re-issue this figure as a two-pack to give a little back to the legions of fans who continue to pump hundreds into Star Wars every year? As far as the weapons go, I'm not so sure he should have hand the smaller blaster as much as he needed a rifle. If we could only have the articulation that this figure boasts with the head, shoulders, wrists, torso, legs, knees and feet. I've said it a million times, we deserve this quality every single time out.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Spice - I just can't see anyone not really wanting at least one of these, with exception to those blessed with the skills to custom paint their own army! I really do think if there was ever a figure to beg for a troop builder, you'd have a solid case here! A must have for any Trooper lover! Thumbs way up!
