first look at the Endor wave is one of the very first Ewoks to be created by
Kenner or did everyone forget the two blacked out figures on the back of the
cards in the summer leading up to Episode VI? While the revelation was to be
Chief Chirpa and Logray, you really have to wonder why Hasbro followed suit in
the modern age. Especially seeing as they have offered a two-pack back in 1997.
The vibrant backdrop of the Endor forest is really an eye catcher but when you
see how little plastic your money is buying, you really must question the
validity of the hologram pack in figures. The first thing that jumps out at you
is how tiny the figure is, however I caught myself trying to look under the
insert for another figure! |

paintjob was the next thing to jump out at me. The face has a great blend that
really highlights the eyes, mouth and even the teeth! They even took the time to
highlight the headdress that again brings back the memories of the original
version. The various decor of feathers, teeth and such looks great and I do like
the original formula being followed. I don't think it's too relevant the gear
comes off but in this case I think it's more than a good thing. We could
only wish for more Ewoks to be created with such amazing detail. I again have to
mention once again how much of a rip it is that we can't get two in the package.
Wicket & Logray from the PotF line were packed in with a freeze frame,
which would cost as much as the hologram figures. So why not maintain quality? |

figure is so impressive in the aspects of detail and articuation. The wrists and
waist movement really help you create a wide variety of poses. A two-inch teddy
bear with enough power to take out an Imperial Stormtrooper should be able to do
just that. For being top dog Ewok, he's loaded with a good choice of
weapons. There is
plenty of detail in the bone on the spear and even a hand grip for the little
guy, I can't see what was missed. Real feathers? They also went all out in the accessories
department and the tiny little dagger on his waist even comes out! Now how can
they say they are making these for children with a straight face? How long would
a fingernail sized knife stay in a 8 year-olds collection? This figure is a slam
dunk, but you really have to be astonished in the decision making process
concerning what goes into the bubble. |

THOUGHTS:

Overall I don't think
they could have done a better job. The detail did somewhat appear to
surpass some of the other Ewoks that have been made beyond the
two-pack . I really can't get over the fact we couldn't get two here
but it's not enough to make me put my thumb down on the entire figure,
perhaps the company that made it! |

Chief
Chirpa has never been done better. |

I would still rather see
unmade prequel characters before inferior Ewoks are remade. |
