Spice: It's time to get down to the nitty gritty and the year is winding down. The Saga  Collection is wrapping up and instead of going out on a high note, the entire wave 8 is one big rehash in one way shape or form. Hasbro didn't do too much creatively other than work with paint for this wave. Our first inspection will be of the Battle Droids from Revenge of the Sith. I almost passed out when I picked up the package and learned the carded shots didn't lie, there really are  two figures in the package! I had to bring it to a price scanner to truly believe.

This is something that they should do more of, give people more for their money. I think one of the greatest things about the TSC line was the fact they're continuing with prequel figures in addition to the trilogy figures we all know and love. However the camouflage pattern doesn't conceal the fact they gave you a pretty weak mold, even if they gave you two for the price of one. The knees or elbows do not bend, therefore you can forget about trying to pose them in the famous crouching position as seen in Episode I as they were dispersed onto the battlefield. Another thing I didn't get was they give two figures and only one stand. As flimsy as these are you'd really want a stand.

The CIS are very clean and don't bow down for anyone! Click thumbnail for large image
I'm still pretty happy with the fact they did throw in two, and all honest they should reward us more often with army builder two-packs seeing as they managed to sell G.I. Joe the same way for nearly 10 years. I'm impressed they added detail for the mere fact they added the sigil of the CIS to their shoulders, but they didn't remember to add something as simple as dirt. A little bit of battle wear would have really been a serious plus but much like moving joints, was overlooked. Perhaps this is just the first of many variants. Who could forget the four opening night back in Episode I? I'm sure they haven't forgot either!

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Spice - Upon further inspection, I wanted to see if the head actually fit or was secured with a rubber band. However I was pretty freaked when the head didn't come off at all on the ball! Only after giving a gentle tug to the neck did I reveal they didn't forget to leave the decapitation feature in tact, it even has a little detail in the stub. Perhaps their saving grace for the thumbs up!

+   Army builders paradise!
-   Knees and elbows need to bend, I don't care about their costs.
+    I can't get enough of any figure if it comes in two!
-   Maybe I'm biased but make 'em a little dirty!
