fearsome Commander Appo is no doubt a highlight from Wave 9 and most likely will
be a rough find for many. We've all been in great anticipation of the
engineer who most likely ordered the smack down on Zett Jukasa right in front of Senator Bail
Organa. While his screen time was very short, there is still quite a buzz about
Appo and if there could be an extended scene in Revenge of the Sith, I'm sure
for many of fans it'd have to be Darth Vader's assault on the Jedi temple. This
action figure is a must have for your Kmart battlepack. For those of you who are
into packaging, the cardback artwork leaves nothing to be desired. |
Click thumbnail for large image The
action figure itself is nearly flawless. However the main flaw that I will
repeatedly whine about would have to be the ball and socket head. First of all
I'm very much against a named Clone Commander not being able to remove his
helmet. The fact you can still see the ball right under his chin is almost flat
our embarrassing for Hasbro. This is a high profile character. If the ball was
dropped anywhere it'd have to be the lack of a head. The articulation is flat
our perfect and I really don't see where they missed anything in that
department. The wrists, shoulders, torso, knees, ankles and waist all complement
any pose you could try to create. They didn't cheat us anywhere with the mold. |

they did anything to appease me and make my viewpoint change it would have to be
in the paintjob where they really went all out. There is various dirt and battle
ware throughout the armor, in fact they even managed to get some on the feet! If
we could have only seen this kind of detail in another figure that had a
pauldron. However I can't say enough about the paintjob which really does say
something about what they could be doing on every release. Commander Appo is no
doubt worth picking up, and I'm sure custom makers will be picking up one or two
if given the chance. |

THOUGHTS:

Spice -
It was just about
disgusting to learn the Combat Engineer Clone Trooper has the
removable helmet feature. I'm wondering why Bacara, Appo and many
others do not have a helmet when they were bright enough to name
themselves. However this figure is still going to be a smash hit and
in high demand. |

Why did they put this at
the end of a wave? |
