Spice: I remember the first time seeing this card back when I was just entering the 5th grade. It is clear as day when I saw the brief clip of the Speeder Bike scene on the Today show by chance on TV one morning before school. In the grueling days leading up to the climatic finale that would be Return of the Jedi, there were no Internet spoilers. You frantically searched newspapers, magazines and TV, hoping that you would catch a glimpse of anything. The memories crash through your mind like waves. One of the greatest things about this hobby is reliving a part of yourself that has been dead for a long time. Feeling your youth again is truly a gift.

While the action figure you get inside is years of it's time compared to what you got back in 1983, long gone is the slender built, long-faced inaccurate Biker Scout. They replaced it with the same technology that Hasbro used to build their G.I. Joe figures back then! What can you say about a figure that moves in any and all possible directions you'd like it to? With the advanced torso movement the sky is truly the limit here. This will be a hard find simply because builders are going to love them to death with the added pose ability. They didn't miss a trick, even allowing a little extra play in the hip pouches in case you would place him on a Speeder Bike. These VTSC figures are really incredible and you can see where the inflated price could almost be acceptable.

GOOD choices and Hasbro usually aren't in the same sentance! Click thumbnail for large image
The only other thing to do is compare it to the other versions that were pretty good but not quite as great as this release. The Power of the Jedi clean or dirty just can't touch this one. The Biker Scout is such a great choice for the vintage line; it is really hard to remember a figure that I liked more other than Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker. I won't even get into how bad the Power of the Force version was. You can only hope they continue with this style, in fact I'd like it to become the future for ALL Trilogy figures to be presented in the vintage fashion. I realize that wouldn't be fair to the Prequel figures but I think it would be a proper way to give praise to the line that is the reason most of us are in this hobby. While the only thing in the package is the weapon, what a great job they did. It snaps into the hand and boot holster quite snug.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Spice - If they messed up I didn't see where. The paintjob set it off nicely with the added red line across the top of the backpack, the weathering added in to the boots -- one word AMAZING! I couldn't be more impressed with the production of this figure. If my thumb got any higher my arm would hurt from the blood draining!

+   Couldn't have been a greater choice for the Return of the Jedi line!
-   They can't get them all this good?
+    ONE pistol but it was perfect!
-    Does this mean we're going to see a dirtier variant?

So what a couple Droids gave us the slip in the Desert, it don't compare to getting waxed by a community of Teddy Bears!
