What's up with being GREE-DY with a set of binoculars? Click thumbnail for large image
Spice: Upon first inspection a Trooper might have feelings of joy after months of waiting for the camouflaged Commander Gree to finally hit shelves nationwide. However once you crack the tape you'll realize  while it is a very good figure, it does fall short of expectations. The figure itself is great, I can't say enough about the design of the super articulated Clone Trooper, and I'm glad they had enough sense to utilize the mold in a sure fan favorite but it's what they didn't give you I'm more upset about.

Should have went for the long shot! Click thumbnail for large image
There is much to be happy about in the paintjob. The visor color is exactly as we remember the poor Clone Commander who was saddled with the task of delivering Order 66 on a Jedi Master. The weathering scheme is simply amazing, especially on the legs and abdomen pieces. The scratches across the back armor piece make the work that much more impressive. While I can't say I can remember Gree sporting the antenna on his back, a little extra can be good in some cases I suppose.

It might be done, it might not! Click thumbnail for large image
The greatest let down has to be in the accessories. An extra antenna is fine, but why would they package the mega blaster we've seen with the AT-RT Driver? Maybe if Gree had this super-cannon in the film, he may have gotten the job done but it's too bad seeing as Hasbro could have gotten off a little easier on material. Perhaps if they would have packaged a simple pair of binoculars we all recall him using we could have said Commander Gree was a smash hit, he's pretty amazing but they could have put just a little more thought into it.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Spice - It seems to be an alarming trend with the company that is going to be making these toys for a great time to come. The thoughtlessness and disregard for what the fan wants is a place Hasbro  isn't afraid to go. Commander Gree isn't a total wash, the C.O.B.R.A. Saw-Viper like mega cannon is an example of the big corportation not caring. Part of what made these figures so special in the past is what was packaged with them. They should realize this.

+    Using Super Articulation on Commaders is a great idea.
-    Could we not get binoculars?
+     The head being able to pop off is an extra plus!
-    Why not make it perfect? We as Star Wars collectors deserve the BEST!
