Can we get material on the cuffs or is this another cost-cutting measure for 2008? Click thumbnail for large image
Spice: The first wave of the 2008 figures featured some really great choices for untapped characters from Revenge of the Sith. One of the more common pegwarmers in the group is no doubt Po Nudo. The Aqualish Senator was seen throughout the film with the rest of the doomed Separatist committee. Until the clean-up from Order 66 was handed down for Lord Vader to head for Mustafar to "take care" of the expendable bunch of traitors. The artwork on the packaging did a great job of capturing the fear and look of surprise.

Guess what's behind my back? NOTHING because they put nothing in the package with me! Click thumbnail for large image
What is pretty sweet about the overall design of the body is you really only need to capture a few poses with this character. Therefore the fact he doesn't really have much to offer due to the restrictions of the robe really aren't that bothersome. One thing that really jumped out at me was the lack of material around the wrists, you can see the orange inside of the robe hanging down several inches. If you look at the hands it looks like someone left his robe in the dryer a little too long. In the end what does it really matter? Probably not much but you might thing soft goods may have been the better choice.

Does this look like the package / film? Click thumbnail for large image
The facial features also seem to be off just a tad as well. Once again looking at the package it would seem the mouth would look more like Ponda Baba, or just not as long. It would be nice to see them add the hair and maybe even some gloss to the four eyes to bring out the glisten a little bit better. The entire paintjob was sort of flat and dull, and I hate to bring up the package again but what you see and what's under the bubble really don't look the same. When we all know what should be happening in this day and age is nailing it on the first try. Simply based on the number still on the pegs I wouldn't think this would do very good in any sort of rehash, even years from now.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Spice - It is so hard to point a thumb down at an all new release. The fact we get a character that we've never seen before is the only reason I'm not pointing down, it was very close. In the future I hope they can get a head sculpt right, an alien at that! Another disturbing aspect is the lack of weapons or accessories, throw something in for crying out loud!

+   I love the articulation on the upper body and arms!
-   Can we get some sort of accessory? Don't be so cheap Hasbro!
+    They did as good as they could without using soft cloth on the robe.
