Spice: There is much mystique surrounding the Padawan of Jedi Master Shaak Ti. The Force Unleashed takes us inside of much of the aftermath of Order 66, and the tale of Maris Brood is not only very interesting but downright breath-taking in many instances. Hasbro did a great job of capturing her getting in touch with her Dark Side on the package art. After the death of her Master at the hands of Vader's secret apprentice, the result of following a direct order delivered her straight to the service of the soon to be Empire. It is even nicer to get a little more back story of the shellshock some of the surviving Jedi encountered after Order 66 took place.

Isn't she dressed a tad skimpy? Click thumbnail for large image
They sure did a lot to make this character appeal to the male audience. The scantily clad, shapely physique is quite appealing. In fact every thing looks good until you get a good look at the Popeye-like arms. I don't know why the elbows are so much bigger than shoulder or forearms but this isn't even the biggest flaw on the arms! Once again Hasbro crapped the bed and let another figure hit the market with faulty hands. Unless you utilize the rubber bands, she does not hold the saber handles hardly at all without them. I understand this happening once or twice in ten years, but it tends to happen quite often.

There is also something to be said about the way she seems to excessively show off her rump-shaker. I guess this isn't a bad thing to have sexy characters, but it'd been more effective if her knuckles didn't practically drag on the ground like a caveman. Another low point would be the lack of articulation in the knees and hips. Without it, you seem to be very limited in pose ability and I really can't see how they left it out since it was added to her feet. They really did a super good job with paintjob, right down to the Felucian dirt tint that covers her upper body.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Spice - It's just too difficult to put my thumb down to a brand new character and figure. The Force Unleashed line has been an incredible addition to our collections, but again some are severely flawed and you could only wish they put more time and quality into the finished product. These could be that much better.
