The Force Was Strong with the TODAY Show!
Now who in the galaxy would have thought Al Roker would have made a good-looking Han Solo? Kathy Lee Gifford as C-3PO, Matt Lauer as Luke Skywalker, and Ann Curry as Darth Vader? They and several others all got into Star Wars costumes for their live TV show "TODAY" on NBC yesterday, and surprisingly their costumes appeared to be high quality and didn't look like cheap ones you can purchase at Target or Walmart. They even had a life-sized X-Wing Fighter parked outside, which was a nice addition to the show. Check out all the photos and video clips from their Halloween special here.

Area Report: Trick or Treat?
Is it really too much to ask for honesty? On my way home last night I made a discovery at two different Wal-Mart stores on the west side of Indianapolis. Is it a trick or a treat? It is a sad thing to say I guess. Someone in the Indianapolis area is going around and cutting open figures and stealing them. This goes for the same on droid parts. I suppose times are tough if someone is taking the droid parts out of the new figures. So be on the lookout in your own area for dishonest people, double check those B.A.D. parts.

Sandtrooper Jason a.k.a. Dead Hero Reports:
The Master or the Learner?“Last week scored the set of RotJ basic figures at Zion, Illiois K-Mart, along with Ambush on the Vulture's Claw scene pack. I fell victim to the okee doke when I picked up a Geonosis Arean pack featuring battle droid and... Qui-Gon Jinn?! Shame on me, since he was not in the film, and had the notable handicap of being dead at that time in the prequel timeline! This was a great 'Beyond Belief' piece I found at Hodgkins (La Grange) Quarry Target. Not quite a candidate to beat Julian Betancourt's Power of the Jedi Snoopy figure, but my goose was cooked nonetheless. Today another siting of RotJ wave and Saleucami clone waves at Target. Keep on 'troopin'

Rare PSA and Behind-the-Scenes Video
Go get yourself immunized! We've all seen public services announcements in our time and we know they have good intent, but seeing C-3PO and R2-D2 tell us the benefits of immunization (back in the 1970s) wouldn't make me run out and get my shots. Nonetheless, it's interesting to see this rare PSA. Better yet, check out this extremely rare behind-the-scenes video of the crew responsible for designing and filming the original Star Wars film. You've never seen this footage before, so make sure you get a chance to view it before George Lucas and/or Lucasfilm request to have the video pulled. It's artwork at its finest, and goes to show you that great films can in fact be made without mass amounts of CGI.

The First Lady of ST.com!“Hey Troopers! I wanted to report in with my personal observations about Star Wars in Concert. I attended Opening night on Thursday (10-3) in Anaheim at the Honda Center. The concert was scheduled to start at 8:00 pm and people were allowed to enter the Center around 6:45 pm. I didn't see too many people in costume. The Props on exhibit were displayed all around the outer lobby area where the concession stands are located. This made it very congested in the lobby area with people looking at the Props and other people buying food. My favorite Prop was the ewoks display. They also had these large background scenes located next to the props for people to take pictures against. The souvenir program is big measuring 12 x 15 and set me back $30.” For the entire report, check out the forums for the

Sandwatch Guides: Jabba's Palace 3-D Diorama Added
Big ole Party goin' on up in here!We update our Sandwatch Guides with the Power of the Force Jabbas Place "playset". The 3-D diorama would include a thawed out Han Solo (with shackles) for recreating the "someone who loves you scene". The figure was a slight repaint from the previous red and green carded figures that had Jabba's favorite decoration still in a frozen state. For more check out the latest and wonder why Hasbro couldn't produce this in a plastic mold? Thanks again to Boba Binks for keeping the party going! United We Find.

Mos Eisley News Brief: Roger that Master Jedi!
Our good friend Paul at JediTempleArchives.com has just posted a rather interesting editorial regarding Hasbro's shipping policy. It would seem that more than many of us collectors are getting tired of the rehash garbage that clogs up the pegs. The sad end result is collectors not being able to find the newest waves, especially from the Legacy Collection. For more I encourage you to read his entire rant (complete with photos) to get the

Released nearly a decade ago at $17.99, this was perhaps one of the most toughest finds for any item in the red packaged Episode I collection. Do repacks bother you as much as they do me? Don't forget to stop by the forums and share your thoughts with other Troopers.

Hasbro Q & A Session:
Latest Q&A from HasbroWe are happy to report we've received our latest round of questions from the high command of Hasbro for September. Why, exclusive after exclusive, does Wal-Mart continue to get some of the better exclusives? What's the status on the super-articulated Stormtrooper, "battle-damaged" Grievous and the Darth Maul (Visionaries) we saw in Insider #107? Finally, now that Hasbro has "supposedly" went around to some stores in some areas and removed the "peg warmers" of Yarna, Trinto Duaba, etc. - how long will it be before we can expect those figures to ship in the Legends line? We encourage you to log-in to the forums and check out what they had to say. We also have a set for this round for theJawa.com so make sure to check our our glowing-eyed friends too. Do you have a question for the Hasbro Q & A Team? Log-in and leave your question in the forums.
