Daniel Logan to Continue as Fett!
It appears that a report has surfaced via the Force.net regarding the upcoming television series. Rick McCallum is being quoted as wanting Daniel Logan to continue his role as the most notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy! This is no doubt great news for prequel fans and I’m sure Daniel can’t wait to get back to work and don the Mandalorian armor once again. For more check out the Force.net for the

Sandwatch Guides: Wookiee Flyer
Flying furballs! Our Sandwatch menu is updated tonight with a little blast from the past from Episode III Revenge of the Sith. One of the more popular small vehicles had to be the Wookiee Flyer that was seen in the battle scene on Kashyyk. However this tiny chopper wasn't long for life on the shelf as it's one of the more scarce pieces from the Episode III line. Thanks again to Boba Binks for providing this in-depth look. Anakin vs. Obi-Wan Statue: Another great statue from Sideshow, this version captures their battle at Mustafar. It is 13 inches tall and 14 inches side to side. Relive the pre-birth of Darth Vader in one of the most unique concepts yet.

Yoda vs. Dooku Statue: Another entry into the nicely done series of battle statues. This statue is around 10 inches tall and features Yoda floating in mid-air battle against Dooku - priced $10 under MSRP at $189.99.

Galvatron Model Kit: Extremely limited and standing roughly 6-inches tall after completion. This model kit is made by a new company call Arianhod and is in stock for $124.99. The model is unpainted, but with a little fun work it will look great.

G.I. Joe 25th Anniversary: The Cobra Legions 5-pack is now in stock for $29.99, more of the Joe 5-pack have also arrived - $27.99 each on those. Hasbro is shipping the new figures out in waves and we now have extra singles on hand for Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Hooded Cobra Commander, and Cobra Officer.

Battlestar Galactica Cylon: A recent arrival from Majestic Studios, the long awaited Cylon comes with several alternate hands, and is reasonably articulated. These are listed at $64.99 and we most likely won't be able to get anymore of them.

Kennedy Center Brings Star Wars Alive (Lightsabers Included)
The National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) is taking you to the movies - figuratively, that is. On Thursday evening at The Kennedy Center, guest conductor Erich Kunzel led the NSO Pops in 20 magical pieces by prolific composer John Williams, who is known for composing more than 100 movie themes including "Jaws," "Jurassic Park," "War of Worlds," and the Harry Potter films.

The second half of the performance was completely dedicated to songs of the "Star Wars" movies, complete with onstage lightsaber duels by Master of the Force, a group that performs "live, stimulated light saber combat" based on famous star wars scenes who first performed in July 2007 with the Cincinnati Pops' production of the music of John Williams. They were accompanied by Washington's Woodley Ensemble choir, who "is distinguished for brining beautiful and unusual choral music to the public," according to the Kennedy Center program. THQ Wireless set to release ESB mobile video game
THQ Wireless ESBDid you know THQ Wireless has released over 700 Star Wars games! This is what pocketgamer.co.uk is stating. The hunt is on if this is true. Up next for THQ Wireless is the Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back mobile game. Just by looking at the screen shots this is better than the Super Nintendo version. Obviously most phone today can push better graphics than the Super NES. Let's hope the game play is better too, rather than a game that is hashed together just to sell to fans. Go over to pocketgamer.co.uk to read more details. You can also download two other games in release directly from THQ Wireless, SW: Lego & SW: Lego II.

New MMO Star Wars Video Game?
Lucas ArtsThere is a rumor going around that BioWare's next MMO might be a Star Wars game. Nothing substantial, but the RPG is centered around Knights of the Old Republic. KOTOR was developed by BioWare in 2003. Electronic Arts recently bought BioWare and developed the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies. This mix of KOTOR and MMO might be the one that helps Star Wars branded video games. Aside from the Lego series, KOTOR series, Rouge Squadron series, and Republic Commando, Star Wars games have been known to be bombs for non-Star Wars video gaming fans. See Star Wars: Super Bombad Racing & Star Wars: Master of Teras Kasi for reference. Galaxies did not bring in the video gaming community like the other four. Check out more of the rumors here at primotechnology.com. Stop by the forums and give your opinion.

Sandwatch Action Figure Review:
Hey Troops, wave 5 is alive and we're taking the wave by storm. Our next inspection is yet another Expanded Universe release that most fans will find most appealing. One of the more short-lived villains in the prequels was General Grievous. Much like Darth Maul, fans were left wondering why they would kill off such a promising character so soon! Hasbro was simply ingenious for putting out the Pre-Cyborg Grievous. We get a good look at his Kaleesh customs, ancient weapons and a hairstyle that would make Mace Windu jealous. Feel free to offer your own feedback about the T.A.C. collection. Until then enter if you dare!

To boldly go where Star Wars has gone before:
It seems that Star Wars will once again be the innovator and even though Star Trek was on the screen first, (albeit the small) once again Trekkies will tag along. It seems there is production in line for a Star Trek prequel according to this article at the Deseret News. It’s a pretty interesting read, but the fact the author says the Wrath of Kahn is better than Empire Strikes Back really makes me wonder how many death stix he’s been smokin’! Animate Emperor Maquette: The Emperor works into this line very nicely, his gaunt face works perfectly with the animated style - $69.99. This statue was meant to capture the essence of Order 66. GG Animated Emperor Maquette & Asajj/Dooku Statue pre-order live
Animated Emperor MaquetteGentle Giant has just just released photos of a full color Animated Emperor Maquette. The price is $80 and you can pre-order it at their store. Obviously this edition is inspired by the Darth Sidious character from the Clone Wars series, but Gentle Giant eludes to the fact it is not from the Gendy Tartikoff's animated series. It is a fantastic piece with the glowing eyes and the decrepit form of Palatine after he has enacted Order 66. Talk more about it in our forums.

Asajj & Dooku StatueAlso worth noting, the Dooku & Asajj Ventress statue is up for pre-order for $230. Trooper jkno dug up a picture of the original art work, it can be seen in our forums. Please be aware, you must be logged into your Gentle Giant account to add the items to your cart.

Does that sound Familiar?
It’s a scream we’ve all heard millions of times but ABC News has put together a chronological history of the most famous scream in film. It has been used in all the Star Wars films and the inside joke continues to be a Hollywood legend. It’s pretty funny to hear that so many sound effect wizards have gone back to this famous scream over and over again. Ben Burtt is the person responsible for naming it “Wilhelm” after the solider who would be the first to unload it in 1951 in the film Distant Drums. Since then it has been used 112 times in various film and television spots. For more check out ABC.com for the

Sandtrooper Jedichirp Reports:
“Jedichirp here in Indy. I made it out this morning to search for some figs that I still hadn’t laid my hands on. I hit the Greenwood Wal-Mart even though my luck with that location has not been good for a while. However, I hit it big today. I picked up the Fans’ Choice DarkTrooper with gold coin. I also picked up a few Wave 4 & 5 figs—Hermi Odle, C-3PO/Salacious Crumb, Animated Anakin, Yoda/Kybuck, Roron Corobb, and Pre Cyborg Grievous. They also had the CZ4 that seems difficult to find for some of us. The 2 local Targets had nothing new. The Greenwood Meijer didn’t have any new figs but did have the Transformer Vader/Death Star in its HUGE packaging box!”

Darth Bane: The Rule of Two
The Official Site updates tonight with news of a sequel to the "Darth Bane: Path of Destruction" novel by Drew Karpyshyn, due out later this year. Here's the synopsis:

Now Darth Bane is ready to put his policy into action, and he thinks he has found the key element that will make his triumph complete: a student to train in the ways of the dark side. Though she is young, Zannah possesses an instinctive link to the dark side that rivals his own. With his guidance, she will become essential in his quest to destroy the Jedi and dominate the galaxy.

There is one who is determined to stop Darth Bane: Johun Othone, Padawan to Jedi Master Lord Hoth, who died at Bane's hands in the last great Sith War. Though the rest of the Jedi scoff at him, Johun's belief that there are surviving Sith on the loose is unshakeable.

As Johun continues his dogged pursuit of the man who killed his master, Zannah, faced unexpectedly with a figure from her past, begins to question her embrace of the dark side. And Darth Bane is led by Force-induced visions to a moon where he will acquire astonishing new knowledge and power -- power that will alter him in ways he could never have imagined.

He was there to present an award to Staff Sergeant Michelle Cunningham, the only female bomb disposal officer in Iraq. In his quest for the man he believes is responsible for the death of his mother, he draws the attention of the National Security Agency and another youth with the same abilities. Sandtrooper Nick Reports:
“Hope everything is going well for everyone this holiday weekend. If you're in the Philadelphia area, the Franklin Mills Wal-Mart finally got something new. I scored Torture Rack Han, General McQuarrie, and Lando dressed as Han. Ironically this came after one of my posts on our forums where I whined that this Wal-Mart had nothing new since wave 2. There are several Lando's left (maybe cause they blend in with the numerous Han Solo figures still on the pegs) but no sign of the 4-LOM or the McQuarrie Snowtroopers. Further down the road, the Oxford Valley TRU also had several of the Geonosis Creature Battle Packs, but at $60 I passed them until later. I also scored the Gold Coin UGH Mace and Galactic Marine at the KB toys in Franklin Mills Mall. Still a couple left there plus the Animated Boba Fett.”

Sandtrooper Darth Pharoah Reports:
Goes down Souf!“Well, things are finally hopping again around Hotlanta. It’s been a while since I reported in because of the great nothing that had been happening. Toys R Us has had plenty of their exclusives and have gotten in waves 4-6. Wal-Mart’s have just jumped into the act big time too. Talk about catching up. They’ve had waves 4-6 and Saga Legends wave 3 as well. Just in the last 3 days I’ve found all of the 3 new basic waves. Still hunting down some Legends I want but have most of that as well. Targets here are still a wasteland. Nothing new for them in months now. Gotta wonder what the deal is there. At any rate it’s suddenly good hunting again here. Hit ‘em hard Troops. United we find!”

Real Sized X-Wing to Launch?
Real Sized X-Wing to Launch? In the world of sci-fi geekery, there are few things more recognizable than the skin-tight suits Jeri Ryan wore as Seven of Nine in the series 'Star Trek: Voyager'. One of those other icons is the X-Wing fighter from Star Wars, with its distinctive crossed S-Foils. Many fans have wanted one of their own, coming no closer than some toy or model, but Andy Worner and a team of friends from Polecat Aerospace have come about as close to real-life as you can expect: They built a 21-foot rocket-powered model of the ship. And it really flies. Well, they think it'll really fly, at least. Its maiden voyage is set for next week, October 10. Read more about this here.

Star Wars Collection Stolen!
DescriptionBurglars have stolen a collection of 60 miniature Vintage Star Wars figures worth over £10,000 at a Dorset home. The toys, from the first Star Wars trilogy, were collected over a 20-year period and were still contained in their original packaging. Thieves stole the action figures last month when they ransacked a house in Lower Parkstone, Poole. Det Con Scott Brimicombe, of Poole CID, believed the collection was stolen to order. "I suspect the thieves knew what they were going to steal as the collection of 60 boxed Star Wars figures are very collectible and valuable," he said. Read the full story here.

Prepare for Interrogation:
The recent passing of Christine Hewett left me saddened and I thought back to the Chicagoland Expo, which was her first U.S. Convention appearance back in 2004. The memories crashed like waves and I thought back of all the interviews I’d conducted with so many different Star Wars personalities. We decided to compile all of those features into one page. Henceforth our Interrogations section has been born since there will be several features we plan to import over to the Jawa. While we don’t have anything “new” to add tonight, maybe you’d like to take a read of one of the many that have been dug up from the Sandtrooper Archives. United We Find!
