Hey troopers! It's a gorgeous fifty degrees in the western suburbs of Chicago, and I scored some good stuff this morning while stopping at the Target on Route 59 and 127th in Plainfield. The pegs had the most amount of action figures I have seen on their shelves since the ROTS line was released last April. Unfortunately there wasn't a whole lot of new figures to snag up, but the newest figure I found was the Death Star Gunner. Also picked up an extra Shock Trooper because you know I don't have enough army-builders. The pegs had a bunch of newer Titanium Vehicles, and I was lucky to find a Naboo Patrol Fighter, Republic Gunship and Snowspeeder (the last two with new paint styles). Also grabbed the Imperial Encounter Unleashed Battle Pack that has Han Solo, Chewbacca and a Tauntaun to re-create a scene from The Empire Strikes Back. Lastly there was an end-cap full of Unleashed figures on clearance for just under ten dollars (in the tube containers), and Boba Fett is who ended up coming home with me. He was the only Boba Fetta mixed with close to fifteen General Grievous figures. To sum things up, it was a pretty good morning for me. United We Find! |
For the longest time it was all about the good guys versus the bad guys... the Rebellion versus the Empire. You were forced to choose one of those two sides, but thanks to a new expansion pack for the successful Star Wars: Empire at War you now have the opportunity to play a much different role. A role that has never been offered in another Star Wars video game at such a grand scale. The recently released expansion pack, Forces of Corruption, has received excellent reviews all across the Internet. Head over to the forums to see a complete list of several reviews that have already been written up. If you don't have the game yet you might want to head out and pick it up. |

Some people think Darth Vader would be quite an invinvcible fellow, one who had such strong connections to the Force, would help him live a healthy life. Unfortunately that is not the case for Dave Prowse, the man who wore the famous Darth Vader costume in the original three Star Wars films. He's had numerous orthopaedic problems throughout his life, and he's opened up to reveal what he's gone through. Read what he had to say here. |

Hey Troopers! We are a little late with our responses but better late than never! Do other websites have input on the Greatest Hits collection? Do we need new Star Cases again with the 30th Anniversary collection? Will they ever make Battlepacks worth the value? Until then head for the forums and take a look at what they had to say. |

If you enjoyed the animated series Star Wars Clone Wars then you're going to be in for a treat next year, as George Lucas announced today that his new TV series Clone Wars will more than likely air next year sometime. The show will be a continuation of the previous two seasons that aired on Cartoon Network, and will of course include the main characters like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Count Dooku, Anakin Skywalker and more. I personally cannot wait for this to come out on TV, because I thoroughly enjoyed the animated versions. It was a nice change of pace compared to seeing the films in live action, and this new show means Star Wars will still be alive and strong with the Force. Read the full story about it here. |

It seems that next generation gaming is going to be a major priority for LucasArts, as they have been building up their forces to produce some of the most intense video games to ever come out. There are currently 70 to 80 employees working on different "next gen" video games for LucasArts, and I could only guess that more and more employees will make their way into LucasArts to contribute to developing these new games. One of LucasArts' employees, Chris Williams, spoke at a career fair in London, England, and you can read more about what he said here. |
Wish you could be Darth Maul? How about Qui-Gon Jinn or Count Dooku? Maybe you wanted to be Jango Fett or even a young Darth Vader. For only 200 Microsoft Points you can purchase an Xbox Live exclusive 50-pack of prequel characters for the highly successful Star Wars LEGO II: The Original Trilogy video game. The characters in this special package are based from Star Wars Episodes I through III, and if there's a character you want to be that was in one of the prequels, chances are that they'll be in this special package. In order to purchase this you must be an Xbox Live subscriber and you will obviously need to own an Xbox 360. Read the full scoop here, and let us know if you end up buying this over in our forums.Big thanks to forum member chewykingwookie for sharing this exciting news in our forums! |
If you liked the first two Star Wars Battlefront video games, you might like to know that LucasArts seems to be currently working on a third title for the series. However, this time it may include the "next generation" gameplay that can be utilized to its fullest with the Xbox 360 and other powerful gaming systms. Now this is just a rumor, but when you think about it LucasArts would be crazy not to create a third game with this type of futuristic gaming technology. Read the full story here, and be sure to talk about this over in our our forums. |
