You can put it on the Board...Yessssss!
Cubs fans with a serious Pieface! With the Chicago White Sox winning the World Series this year I have been searching for a way to boast about the dominance of one of the greatest runs in post season history. Baseball has nothing to do with Star Wars, until NOW! 501st Member Mike Plesha has constructed Soxtrooper to demonstrate his own personal brand of faith towards the World Champs! Tonight some of the 501st were at a Chicago Blackhawks game where I was told Soxtrooper was a huge hit with the fans! It never ceases to amaze me, the ambition and lengths fans go to create some quality entertainment for the enjoyment of others. Great job Mike, and congrats to the 2005 World Champion Chicago White Sox! Click the image on the right or the other links to view the carnage.

Sandtrooper DarthPharaoh Reports:
Goes down Souf!“DarthPharaoh checking in just a couple days pre-release. The last few days have been good to me so here goes. Have found the final 5 except for the Tac Ops Trooper (naturally, but see further) and the 2nd Titanium ship gift pack, which I really like. Also at my local Wally World this morning, picked up 2 sets of the DVD release Clone 3 packs, one to keep, and one.... you guessed it, to trade, most preferably for a pair of Tac Ops troopers + the difference depending on how much you had to pay for them. The other 2 sets I feel are a waste. The TRU’s here are sticking tight on the $30 purchase for Holo Palpy so I said the heck with it and ordered online. $15 + with shipping but still cheaper than 30. As for the Target or Wal-Mart debate for the DVD, I’m covered. I’m buying at WM for the bonus DVD and my Dad is getting his at Target and giving me the coin. DarthPharaoh always has a plan!! Good luck out there fellow troopers. United we find and. Death to all scalpers!”

She's Still got 10 Minutes Left:
While she finally will have herself seen in the Episode III Revenge of the Sith's extra section on the DVD, Bai Ling is still trying to make a name for herself. After posing for Playboy a few months back, she's at it again with VH1's "But can they Sing" Celebreality Show that premires tomorrow night at 10pm. Check out the main page. You can also listen to her terrible performance of Madonnas "Like a Virgin". No wonder why George left her out of the movie. Judge for yourself Troopers.

Trump to the Darkside: You're Fired
On the November 10th edition of this seasons "The Apprentice", The applicants will be in full swing of a Star Wars themed episode. Nothing has been let out on what the theme will be based on, but guessing on my end would be the release of Episode III back in May, possibly a themed event at TRU or a movie theater. Check out the official web site. There is a funny comericial airing that has Trump insulting and firing Chewbacca, while he walks into the elevator with a pink suitcase. It is pretty funny.

Sandtrooper Bobafred Reports:
Desert Warfare“Steady.... Steady now! If you haven't landed your evil one yet, then it's time for corporate jingle 101. Your Holographic Emperors will fly out the door with a no limit, by three get one free, hit the door's with four Palpatine galore. For those of you that Direct deposit your paycheck's to Geoffrey's Cause, then its pay dirt 10/30/05. Bring in all your Toys R Us receipts with in thirty days (could be 90 days if your really good!) of purchase with SW product for your free one! On a side note Sunday & Monday leading up to Tuesday release should land platoons of army builders for those of us that like to have it like that, isn’t that right Robbie from the SFValley? I know you know that I know that you know...you know? And this for you Teffie out in T.O., just shoot down Sherman's Way, one Boulevard past Victory, East to Woodley, to Van Nuys TRU, and there you will find what you seek.... cases of Empi's all to your taking! But keep in mind the Early bird pulls the c9.5-10 from the case packs. I have to agree with Dusty 38. It seems that coin just might compliment the first Target release coin given away on EIII's opening day, dubbed First in line, Midnight Madness Take II. So it sounds like Targets got mine locked. But needs to double check Best buys exclusive Unleashed Vader policy. Or it could be EIII DVDs for all my Padawan's come Xmas. (Less the exclusive booty!) Can Texas hold ‘em? Jingle Bell's Troops! Bobafred on the hunt/look out!”

Sideshow Collectibles: Sneak Preview
Sideshow Collectibles has shown a sneak preview of the Premium Format Princess Leia and all I can say is "My God"! If this is what collectors have to look forward to in the 12-inch line of the future then perhaps it's time to think about buying just the smaller figures I like. This is without a doubt the best we’ve seen Princess Leia look in the past 30 years. There is no question these will move fast. Click the banner below for a look.

Sandtrooper Oldust 38 a.k.a Starfox Reports:
Real Men wear Pink!“Hey Troopers, come November 1st, you may want to get your ROTS DVD at Target. I just ran into the manager there, who is a Star Wars fan also, and he showed me the new DVD with the Collectors coin. I must say I was much impressed with the look of it. It has Vader helmet on the front and the back of the coin shows Obi-Wan & Anakin dueling. I'll pass on the Wal-Mart extra DVD and get this for sure! As far as store news goes, no new figures of the final 5 anywhere in Central Texas. Most stores have seen a plethora of the Bly & Gree wave and many are still sitting on the pegs. Wal-Mart in Harker Heights has the new Titanium ships 5 pack with the Unfinished Tie Bomber, and this set looks very nice.... it includes the Slave 1, Arc-170 (blue colors), X-Wing and Swamp Cruiser. Also the DVD 3 packs are around, the Clone Troopers are the only one worth getting in my opinion...lots of 500th Vaders everywhere as well as the original Clone Trooper Evolutions. Kmart received more of the Jedi Temple Assault Battlepacks, but they are priced at $31.49! I asked the toy dept manager about the cost increase because they were first for $24.99 and she said, and I quote, "Corporate sees these as collectors items, so they raised the price"...if that just don't burn your butt, I don't know what will. Kmart just saw their last dollar from me! That's all from Central Texas, Starfox signing out. ”

Sandtroopette Stephanie Reports:
“Hello - Writing in from Southern CA. There has been some new stuff out here worth reporting. I found the Tactical Ops Trooper and new R4 at both Wal-Mart and Kmart. I also saw the new larger titanium Wal-Mart vehicles. They are a bit pricey but have to admit I "needed" them anyway. The Targets finally have the Mustafar Duel set on the shelves (I got mine at a discount earlier due to a rude store clerk and the manager apologizing by giving me 15% off -- not bad). The Target Clone gift set is also on the shelves now. However, I was most excited to find Meena Tills at 2 different Target stores this week. I never did get the Tarkin wave (couldn't find it anywhere), so I was floored to see at least that one showing up now. I still need to find the holographic Aayla Secura and Plo Koon. Once I have those, I'll be done for a while. Thank you for posting about ordering the holographic Yoda and Emperor online from TRU/Amazon. My TRU is a dry, dry place when it comes to the new figures, so I didn't expect to find it there this weekend.”

Sandtroopette Donna Reports:
The First Lady of ST.com!“Hi Troops, Donna from So Cal. Was able to snag an early set of the Wal-Mart exclusive ROTS DVD 3-packs. They also had the Ultra Titanium X-wing and Republic Gunship. One local Target still has the Lava figs, Attack on Coruscant, and Plo Koon ship. Found one ROTS Gunship at TRU but no Holo Emperors yet so I just ordered it through Amazon. Lastly, if you are still looking for the interactive R2-D2, check your local Costco. They are selling them for $64.99. Happy Hunting to all!”

Sandtrooper Roswell Sun Reports:
“Lots of news in CT. Targets has been getting multiple cases of the final 5, a fair amount of Lava figures, and Plo Koon's Fighter. I've even seen the Clone Battlepack on more than one occasion. Wal-Mart's been receiving multiple cases of the Bly/Gree wave and a case or so of the final 5. No sign of the DVD packs yet. TRU is dry as always so I purchased a Holographic Emperor off Amazon. It'll save time and money and I'll be able to avoid the rude lady who looked at me like I was bothering her when I asked her for the Holographic Yoda on the first day of that promotion. Isn't it her job? Also, after days and miles of searching for and finding the deluxe clone packs, the best toy dept. manager there is puts out a Hasbro display that contains all 4 variations and Vader on O. Table at the Wal-Mart New Milford. The other side of the display contains lightsabers. First I've heard of such a display. A personal note to Sandtrooper JLOUD, my hunch was right. Target had 3 cases of the final 5 the very next day!”

Sandtrooper TK533 Reports:
“Reporting from Oshkosh, WI...Wal-Mart here just got in the last wave #64-68 figures. The numbering is different than advertised on the cardbacks, though. #64-Wookie Heavy Gunner, #65- Tactical Ops Trooper, #66-Plo Koon Holo, #67-Aayla Secura Holo, #68-R4-P17.... so I'm not sure if this is an error or just the way it will be. Also not sure of the case breakdown, but there was only doubles of the Tactical Ops Trooper and R4. If I've got them this far north, watch your stores, Troops!”

Are they still making these?“I went to a basic Wal-Mart (not a super center) this morning. I found the carcass of case of figures that was opened. I looked in it and to my amazement it had the Holographic Plo koon and Aalya Secrua. Obviously someone made off with the Tac ops and the R4-P17.Well, I went one of our 2 Targets we have and scored the Tac Ops Trooper and The R4-P17.They only had one case of these. “Hey fellow Sandtroopers! After hearing that some Wal-Mart stores are placing out the commerative "Revenge of the Sith" DVD figure packs I went out on a hunt. At the Keystone at the Crossing Wal-Mart store I found all three of the figure packs. Pack #1 - Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, & Obi-Wan Kenobi. Pack #2 - Count Dooku, Emperor Palpatine, & Darth Vader. Pack #3 - Clone Trooper Squad. I picked up one of each set since they are repacks and two of the Clone Trooper set. If anyone is interested in the Toys-R-Us Holographic Emperor I found out this information from one of my local Toys-R-US stores today. This upcoming Sunday October, 30, 2005 when you make a purchase of $29.99 or more you get one free Holographic Emperor Palpatine. Limit One per purchase. The manager who I am friends with said the Holographic Emperor is NOT to be sold individually as past Toys-R-Us exclusive figures per Toys-R-Us corporate orders.”

Early Impressions of Battlefront II
Battlefront II ReviewedThe long wait is just about over, because next Tuesday the highly anticipated video game "Star Wars Battlefront II" will be hitting store shelves throughout the country. And, I'm pretty sure just about everyone here will be running out to pick it up to add to our gaming collection. If you thought the first Battlefront game was good, just wait until you get your hands on this copy! The online website Team Box has recently acquired a copy of the game, and have written a pretty good preview of BF2. The newest feature of the game is the ability to fly just about any spaceship of your choice, and of course this will probably be the coolest feature of the game since it's never been done in a Star Wars game before. Read the full preview and check out some screenshots here.

Other than that there hasn't been a whole not of anything in the area of late. I've heard reports of the Commeorative DVD packs showing at Wal-Mart stores but not in my neck of the woods yet. Good luck to you Troops out there!"

Sandtrooper Eric Reports:
“I went to the Target in Shiloh (O’Fallon, IL) today. They had eight to nine #63 Neimodian Commander figures, but no other figures after 56. The Wal-Mart in O’Fallon, IL had nothing. I am still waiting to find anything but #57, 58, or 63. I guess it will be a couple more weeks for things to arrive on the pegs in St. Louis.”

Sandtrooper Darth2525 Reports:
“Darth2525 reporting in from central Wisconsin. For weeks now I have been searching for any figures above 56. Today it was my awesome wife who came through for me. She found figures 57 through 63 at the K-Mart in Waupaca. Unfortunately she bought up the last of the two commanders; I believe this is a very rare find for our area since I spoke to managers at both Wal-Mart and Target stores who claim that no new figures are showing up in the distribution warehouses that supply central Wisconsin. One other strange thing to note, the Wal-Mart in Wisconsin Rapids had the Darth Vader Voice Changer which comes with the bonus light saber and cape on the shelf for $28.96, but when I went to purchase this it rang up as “not for sale until November 1st”. I spoke to a manager about this saying “don’t you think it is odd to wait until after Halloween to sell an item like this.” All she could do was apologize as she told the stockers to remove the remaining ones from the shelf. I ended up going to Target and buying just the Voice Changer, which was on, sale for $21.98. The Wal-Mart in Stevens Point had the new titanium X-Wing and Transport out. They are awesome, but like others have written, were not worth the $19.99 price tag.”

Customs Section: New Pics Have Been Added!
New Customs!Hey Troopers, we have a quick update to our Customs section that I'd like to bring to your attention this evening. Fellow forum member Jedi Scholar 8 has transmitted three new photos to his customs page. The figure he's done is his Shocktrooper Prelate, Grand Inquisitor Rhyne. Pat has described him as the following: "Chosen (and altered genetically) by Palpatine himself to secretly train, discipline, and deploy the Shocktroopers, Rhyne is every bit as evil, sadistic, and blood-thirsty as any Sith could ever hope to become." Read more about this here.

Sandtrooper Tim Reports:
“Just wanted to give you and update from the Memphis, TN area. Today I went to the new Target on Winchester and they had the TIE Fighters w/pilot sale tagged at $35.95 so I decided to break down and buy that. Also they had the Plo Koon Jedi Starfighter for $19.99 and most of the stuff they had was marked as sale priced but I don't recall seeing that in the sale paper over the weekend. I also found Passel Aroente, Commander Bly and Commander Gree. I got 2 of each and there were a couple more of each one left. Toys R Us is a waste of time as usual, they haven’t had anything in months except stuff that should have been marked down and cleared out months ago. Wal-Mart out on Winchester has tons of figures but mostly old stuff, I did however find today the Early Bird set for $5 on the clearance shelf in the Garden Dept so check all over the place.”

Update 10/22: “I've also found the Lava Reflections figures at Target here last night, they are $12.99 each and were on an endcap and not with the regular figures. I also found Meena Tills, Tarkin, AT-RT Driver, Mustafar Sentry and Obi-wan.”

Sandtrooper Boba Bix Reports:
“Troopers, I happen to go to my local NEX today in San Diego for a haircut, and scooted past the toy section on the way out. To my surprise, they had some figures from the last 5 of collection 2. I picked up the only 2 #65 Tactical ops troopers (one to keep mint, and one to open). I was not interested in any of the others, but they had at least 3 of the #64 R4-P17 figures, 2 #66 Holo Plo-Koons, 2 #67 Holo Aayla Securas, and 1 each of the new Wookiee (#58 and #68). It costs more than normal at $6.99, but it is tax free, so not too bad. So for all the military folks, check at your exchange. Happy hunting.”

“Hey Troopers, I’m a new recruit so bear with me. I did some hunting the past few days and came up with a few decent finds. Here is what I have to report from Indianapolis: Castleton Borders had Green Luke Skywaker Force FX Lightsaber. Only one left after I got mine! The Fishers Target had plenty of Duel at Mustafar, #2 Anikan with Dooku Lightsaber. The Washington Sq Target had all figures on sale 4.24 (I think), Plo Koon Jedi Starfigher, Cups #2 Anakin with Dooku Lightsaber and the Clone Attack on Corusant battle pack. The Washington TRU had the Republic Gunship, plenty of Obi-Wan Jedi Starfighters and plenty of Hoth Battle Packs. There were no figures beyond 56 at any of these locations. Sandtrooper SoCal Dom Reports:
One of SoCal's Finest!“Well, things have definitely happened out here with respect to the new figures. The problem is, I am just a few minutes late everywhere I go. I was able to pick up the R4-P17 figure today at both Targets in Murrieta and Menifee, CA. I have an extra one if someone is interested. I hit the Menifee Target today, but missed by about 30 seconds. Both Hologram figures and a Passel Argente were already in a younger kid's hands as I tried to fish through the figures to find my own. Nothing! Missed it by 30 seconds! Anyways, it looks like everything out here is hitting, now it is all about timing. You have to have great timing folks. Anyways, I have an extra #68 or well #64 R4-P17, an extra black clone pilot, both Lava Reflection figures and an extra Coruscant Assault set for trade if anyone has something good. If not, I will sell them at cost if people need them. At this point, hey, I am here to help anyone who needs it. Send me your offers.”

Target “Last Tues, I was able to score both lava figs and Attack on Coruscant by using the DCPI's. Then this past weekend, I saw all three items on the shelves plus the Plo Koon ships. Then, my week ended in securing figs #64-#68. Lastly, to top off everything, I received both of my Early Bird Kits in the

Sandtrooper Kevin Reports:
S.C.A.L.P. Demolition Expert, Columbus,OH“I was out looking for new figures and had no luck. I was at Toys R us on Morse Rd and ran into I guy searching for new items as well, neither of us found any - all though he did hand me a little yellow flier for his business:

FINDERS COLLECTABLES
5269 GENDER ROAD CANAL WINCHESTER
614-920-0100

His flier states "IF WE DONT HAVE IT, WE WILL FIND IT”. Some Scalpers have some nerve - to buy up all the toys then give you a flyer so you can buy them at inflated prices. This guy was also at Target at Eaton at 8 am on Sunday - a friend of mine seen him buying a lot of the lasted wave of figures also not letting my friend and his little boy get hardly any - and again when he was done picking out all the new figures he handed my friend the same yellow flier. No wonder we cant ever find any new toys. So be on the lookout for this tall skinny guy with his hands full of new toys and yellow fliers. Maybe we should all call him up and complain to him about buying all our toys. I’d just advise anyone not to buy from this guy if you hear of this person.”

“Hi Troopers, RojoHero here. A couple of my friends and I went up Sunday to check out the Sci-Fi Expo in Dallas. Steve Sansweet was awesome. Such a personable guy. Cynthia Cummens, Cat Staggs, and Marc Brooks had stellar artwork for sale. Marc Brooks had an incredible Slave Leia print for sale. Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker were signing autographs as well. If you haven't seen Official Pix pictures in person, I can't explain how beautiful they are. I dropped a bundle! A couple of the vendors had the Utapua Shadow Trooper. Let me tell you friends. I collect figures. This is an awesome figure. Black body with gray highlights, with a red visor, simply gorgeous. They vendors wanted 3 times the retail price. I decided to wait. When I came around the second time. One guy sold his. The Border's Master Replica Luke Green Saber was seen briefly going for 150 dollars. The guys from 2001 Space Odyssey were hilarious. I saw Adam Baldwin and Marc Singer in passing. Lots of cool costumes and kid costumes. All in all the best 5 bucks I have spent in awhile.. Keep you eyes open for the Shadow Troopers! Happy Hunting.”

Sandtrooper Jon Reports:
S.C.A.L.P. Elite Forces“Hi Troops. I went on a mini toy run in the Boston, MA area today. The Target in Everett had a ton of Plo Koon Star Fighters and Coruscant Battle Packs. I looked at both for a long time but ultimately decided to pass. By the way, the Battle Packs were on sale for $22.49, and a lot of the other Star Wars merchandise was on sale as well. Target has also expanded the Star Wars section since I was there last to include an end cap. The Toys R' Us in Sommerville had a ton of the Hoth Battle Packs as well. Again, I took a long hard look but decided to pass. I think that I'm going to save my cash for the SAGA figures. I love that original trilogy. In regards to basic figures, both stores had the same pegwarmers that have been there for the past month. By the way, I received my presents as part of the Sandtroopers.com birthday celebration, and I wanted to express my sincere thanks to all the staff. You all rule! Until next time, Trooper Jon out.”

If you roll with ST, you're guaranteed 7 or 11 EVERYTIME!“Hey Troops, Things are popping in the Las Vegas Valley. Action Figures to #63 abound. I ran into the Lava Reflection Figures at Target this morning along with the Clone Attack on Coruscant Battle Pack. It looks like a few of the stores in our area are getting ready with new and bigger displays in anticipation of the Nov. 1st release of Episode 3. Can't wait to see how things play out. One more thing, I found that variation to #2 Anakin Skywalker Figure. One has the Dooku saber and the other has a hand attached to the regular saber. I thought that was cool. Sandtrooper Jeffred5 Reports:
“Hey Troopers, What do you think of the name for Star Wars fans as being "Star Warriors"? I think it's a lot better than Star Trek Fans being "Trekkie's". Anyway I was at the Target on Coolidge and Maple (15 mile) in Birmingham, MI on Thursday and they had plenty 15-20 of the lava figures and a few Plo Koon Star fighters, but they are not in the regular aisle with the other Star Wars stuff. They are on the end-cap at the far end. I also went to several other Detroit subs Targets and there were none on the shelves. I have an extra set of the "lava Figures" and would trade. I'm looking for lots of stuff like the McQuarrie Stormtrooper, Holo Leia, Jedi temple assault and more.”

Sandtrooper Bobafred Reports:
Desert Warfare“Bobafred chiming in from the San Fernando Valley. Well it has been pretty dry up here in So Cal. As far as carded figures go, the heat has been topping in at 100 degrees so all we can think is Mustafar. Can't wait to get back to Diego for some of that ocean climate! Well this seems to be the calm before the storm, so we should stay on Target, they should be dropping some cases of 501's for their reset date of 10/16/05. So hitting it hard this week makes sense. Chicano Dom did you secure my tweedy bird kits? Drop me a jingle! I am looking for assistance in locking up a VOTC Luke, R2D2 w/ flight string (blue saga card), R2Q5 Imperial Droid, if you have access to these pieces drop me a jingle! Sandtroopette Stephanie Reports:
“Hello Troopers. I've been reading this board since about June. This is my first posting. I'm in Southern CA. I want to thank those who posted the DCPI numbers for the Lava Anakin, Obi-Wan and Coursant battlepack. None of the Targets here have them on shelves. However, I asked using those numbers and they had them in the storeroom. It looks like each Target received 50 of the lava figures because when one store checked their stock against the others in our area, each claimed to have that same number in stock but none of the shelves. So, if you haven't found this set, go to guest services and ask for that DCPI #. One store said they had them but they weren't putting them out until the 16th. I'm not sure if they tie into some promotion. Target has been my best bet for the new ones. I got 57-63 on Monday at Target as well as the Plo Koon starfighter. All I have left to find are the final 6 figures. Wal-Mart’s here rarely have any new figures. Sometimes, Kmart is good, but they haven't had any new figures that I've seen for several weeks. I've given up on the local Toys R Us as the stockperson seems to know a "collector" and I found that the stockperson stocks the "collector's" cart before any go on the shelves. I saw this firsthand one Saturday when I was in there shopping with my son for something else. The "collector" claimed they were for his children, but it seemed odd that he wanted to Hasbro shipping boxes too (who's kids need the shipping boxes?). Anyway, thanks for all the great information and sharing on this site. It's helped me find most of the stuff I wanted (if to at least know when to start expecting to see things on the shelves).

I also want to thank you for the information on the FIDM Star Wars costume exhibit. I live about an hour from where it is and would have never known it was there if it wasn't for the mention on this site. I've seen the exhibit twice now and plan to go again at least a couple more times before it's gone. It's amazing to see the costumes in person. Being a huge fan, I'm in awe of the reality of being in the same room with actual movie costumes. Equally, they look quite different in person than they do in film. If you haven't gone to the exhibit, I highly recommend it (not much from the original trilogy-- mostly Episodes 1-3). Last weekend, fans at the exhibit were dressed up as characters from the movie and that made the experience that much better. It almost felt like you were on the set. They do have some neat stuff in the gift shop. They have the figures and battlepacks (though prices are not competitive with the retail chain stores) but then there are also some great tee shirts and other things related to the event that you don't see elsewhere.”

Sandtrooper Starfox Reports:
Real Men wear Pink!“Hey Troops, I have news from Central Texas today! The Killeen Target has stocked some of the newer stuff.... I saw there this morning: Lava Obi-Wan, Lava Anakin/Vader, Plo Koon Starfighter, Clone Coruscant Battlepacks plus the Commander Bly & Gree wave of figures (still no sigh of the Special ops Clones yet). Kmart has 10% off all Star Wars toys this week, but I missed the Jedi Temple Assault Battlepack again and all of their figures here are overpriced, so the 10% off doesn't even come close the Wal-Mart prices! Speaking of Wal-Mart, they are getting ready for a big push; they have a special center isle display full of Star Wars goodies, from costumes to cereal and napkins to figures, but nothing new, all older figures. KB Toys has the Captain Antilles wave still hanging around, but nothing else at this time. Side note: I will be trying to attend the Sci-Fi Expo in Plano on Saturday and I would love to meet fellow Troopers there. I will be sporting my Sandtroopers.com T-shirt so I should be easy to pick out. Send me an email if you are going and we can meet up! That’s all for now, Starfox signing out...”

Sandtrooper Roswell Sun Reports:
“Today was a good day for hunting in CT. Finished off the final 12 in one day. Got 64-68 at Target in Danbury and Orange. Got 57-63 at Target North Haven, Target Meriden, and Wal-Mart Hamden. Lots of Grees and Blys to go around especially at Target Meriden and Wal-Mart Hamden but I have a feeling they won't last long. No sign of any Target exclusives. Now all I need are Mustafar Anakin and Obi-Wan, Utapau Shadow Trooper, Separation of the Twins, and Holo Palpatine till the new series. Also, there were lots of clones out there: Bacara, #6, #41, red commander, green commander, black pilots, and deluxe of all varieties except green (no Shock Troopers to be found). Good luck!”

Sandtrooper SoCal Dom Reports:
“Just thought I would let everyone know that I picked up the early bird set from Wal-Mart yesterday at an extremely low clearance price of 5 bucks! Couldn't pass it up. Keep looking in the toy clearance aisles, as I found these near the Garden Section on the other side of the store from the toy section. I don't know if there are any left as there were only 3 when I got mine. I also picked up an extra set of the Lava Reflection Anakin and Obi-Wan figures as well as the Assault on Coruscant Battle Pack. Still hoping to trade for the Jedi Temple Assault Battle Pack or the last of the basic figures. Email me with any offers.”

Force of the Bay: In your Sights, take Aim, FIRE!
If you are feeling blue about not finding Utapau Shadow Troopers at Target you can always head to the world of Ebay, if for nothing else to look. You may have to look around for a while before you find that seller that will be lucky enough to get your hard earned coin. If you are outbid and that plan is shot to pieces, it’s only a little bit of patience until you see another one in a few days. So don’t walk the plank and submit to scalpers, take cover at Sandtroopers.com. It could be a whole new beginning for you, and make sure to spread the word and bring other Troopers into your foxhole. With Halloween at hand you may want to try on a more frigid look for the dropping temperatures of fall. If you want to go with a basic look or something a little more expensive and sophisticated, you’ll find whatever it is you are looking for is only a click away. You might even find Hasbro isn't the only one who can pull off a fancy paint job! Sandtroopers.com neither endorses nor supports any of the sellers featured here. Good luck to you Troopers on your searches, Kick A$% and take names!

Sandtrooper Tampa Bay Mike Reports: Need some Assistance!
Troooper in need, United We help thee!“Hello, My name is Michael John and I have been a visitor and sometime contributor to this site for some time now. I'm writing to Sandtroopers.com and a couple others to ask a favor. There was recently a fire in my home that destroyed a part of my home and part of my Star Wars collection. Luckily the house will be okay and no one was hurt. None of my high value items were destroyed but a large part of my toy collection was ruined. They are all recent figures but I cannot find (nor afford) all of them. I would like to make a post on the front page and in the forums to see if anyone has any extras of these figures or any open and complete ones they would be willing to sell at a fair price. Thank you in advance for your help or suggestions, I really appreciate it. Check out the thread in the forums with the list or drop me a line.”

Sandtrooper Darth Knotty Reports:
“What a weekend here in Raleigh, North Carolina! After finding the Plo Koon Jedi Starfighter earlier in the week (by the way, they are all gone!) I visited my local Target and found the Wookiee Commando, Grievous' Bodyguard #2, Passel Argente, Cat Miin, AND the Nemoidian Commander. No sign of Commanders Gree or Bly...next, I went to the Sam's Club, and I found the Mustafar Final Battle set with the four extra clones, and the ARC-170 with Clone Pilot, R2-D2 and two extra clones. The price was ridiculously low, seeing as how you get SIX figures with the Mustafar battle set...only $29.99! Make moves fast Troopers; there was a huge sign over the pallet alerting consumers that they would NOT be restocked. So if anybody needs help getting these, I would be happy to oblige. Anybody with a Commander Bly or Gree, if you have extras, or your Target and Wal-Mart stores are spoiling you, please let me know and I would be happy to pay! Darth Knotty out, and United We Find!”

“Hi Troopers, Thank you so much for providing the DCPI numbers for the lava reflection Obi-wan and Anakin as well as the Clone Attack on Coruscant Battle Pack. I'm from the Boston area and went to the Target in Woburn (just of I-93). The exclusives weren't on the shelves but a very helpful employee scanned in the DCPI numbers saw that they had some in the back and retrieved them for me. He didn't put them out so they cases are probably still in the back so if anyone in the Boston area is still looking for these exclusives get over to the Woburn Target ASAP!”

Sandwatch Update: Utapau Shadow Trooper Guide Added
Utapau Shadow TrooperFellow staff member Boba Binks is bringing to you another Sandwatch update today, and this time he's written up a review and made some images of Target's exclusive Utapau Shadow Trooper. This is one clone trooper that I am dying to get my hands on, because the paint application looks very well done on it. These are sure to be hard to find, so if you happen to find these in stores pick up an extra for those troopers who won't have the luck of finding these in their local stores. Together, we can help one another, and to also wipe out all scalpers who stand in our way! United We Find!

Well, it looks like us humans aren't the only ones who can enjoy Star Wars to the fullest, now that there are Star Wars costumes for pets! These days pets can have just as much fun pretending to be Star Wars characters as we did when we were kids trick-or-treating for Halloween. For a laugh you'll have to read more about this here.

You can keep Rob and Amber we got Tim & Amy“It’s been so long since I've had any news to report, its kind of ridiculous. If people are still in need of the Target Exclusive Lava Reflection Anakin and Obi-Wan in the St. Louis area - the Target at Lindbergh and I-55 is your store! They weren't out on the shelves yet, but I took the DCPI number (087-06-0298 - one number for both figs) in and they had 3 whole cases (6 of each per case)! I got to pick mine straight from the case when he opened it up. They MIGHT have been putting them out on the shelves yesterday afternoon (since I brought them to their attention) - I saw the stock guy back in toys saying he had more Star Wars stuff. They also had 2 of the Exclusive Tie Fighters. Anyone who ISN'T in St. Louis and needs the Lava Reflections - we'd be more than happy to swing by and pick more up for trading (assuming they're still there) - we still need Tarkin and Meena Tillis.”

“The Prize for the contest arrived yesterday. That Leia bust is awesome. I thank Sandtroopers.com and the crew for doing what you guys do. I cannot tell you how much the site has made my collecting easier by all the tips we receive and all the cool people willing to help each other out and the ones who have helped me out personally. I have met in person many of the members here and I hope that I will get a chance to meet all of you. You do a great thing here and I hope more people tune in and continue to make a difference. On a side note, check the Targets folks. I gave them the DPCI number and they gladly pulled the Plo Koon Starfighter and the Mustafar figures straight from a case. Thanks for the tip (by the way I got that from this site). I hope this helps everyone else. Does anyone have an extra Jedi Temple Assault Battle pack? That is the one thing that is eluding me. I am being patient on the last few basic figures and the Shadow Trooper, but man, I cannot find this for the life of me. I have an extra black clone pilot and a Clone Attack on Coruscant battle pack if anyone would like it. Cost plus shipping for either. Let me know.”

What's George Been Up To Lately?
George LucasIGN ran another article yesterday regarding Star Wars creator George Lucas and what he's been up to lately. His current project that he's working on right now is the fourth Indiana Jones movie. Rick McCallum mentioned, "He's mad now. He's doing Indiana Jones, the script, which he should finish by Sunday, and then he's meeting with Stephen next week to try and figure out where they're going to go and what changes they want to make." Lucas is also working on a film called "Red Tails" and of course the two Star Wars TV series that we're all dying to see. Read the full story here.

Live-Action TV Series Coming Early 2007
Live-Action TV Series Coming Early 2007IGN ran an article yesterday regarding the highly talked about and anticipated live-action TV series, and it's been announced that we should expect to see it on TV sometime in the beginning of 2007. Lucas and McCallum are currently interviewing writers to help make this show a reality. McCallum said, "We're just starting to interview writers and trying to really figure out which direction [it will go]. It is going to be much darker, much grittier, and it's much more character based." Read more about this here.

Collections Update: TD-5200 Has Been AddedOur Collections section has recently been updated with the addition of TD-5200's collection. You can tell that he likes 12" Star Wars figures, because he sure does have an awful lot of them. It's nice seeing these out of their boring cardboard boxes. Two items that have particularly sparked my interest is his sandtrooper backpack and especially his MG-34 machine gun replica! These two pieces are very well detailed, and if he made these himself he has a ton of talent! Check out the pictures of his collection here.

Sandtrooper Bobafred Reports: More hits than the Mob!
Desert Warfare“Bobafred chiming in from San Diego. I had to hold back on this for a couple of days until I secured my Bounty booty! So here it goes.... Look at the post below for the DCPI’s for Lava Anakin/Obi figures as well as the Bacara Battle pack (Frickin awesome!). Target has a reset date of October 16, 2005. This is not a release date so bring it to their attention if they give you trouble. On a side note I found the final 5 of the last 12 Sith figures at the big red bulls eye! I also here that up in the San Fernando Valley they have cleaned out all the Targets for these so don't drop the ball on these piece's if you really want them. And just a little note for my boys in Diego...Kearny Mesa still has a couple pieces left, (your welcome!) Mission Target is a waist of time, and to all my Troops In The S.F.V. Daddy's coming home! I will be hitting it hard for only this weekend. Bobafred on the hunt!”

    Sandtrooper Dave Reports:
“Hey, just got back from a trip in DC and stopped in at a few Wal-Mart, Toys R US, and a few Target stores. Saw nothing new there except the 5 pack cases. Now I'm back in the middle-of-nowhere Iowa (Ames) and our target has been getting the Bacara wave and had 6 TIE fighters. Nothing newer than that though. BTW - for those of you using Target's scanner with keypads, you can't use them to type in the DCPI numbers, they are only for scanning and are not connected to their system. You must go to a Target person with a gun to check them. I checked on the special shadow trooper and the gun said there were none in the district, and the employee said that meant they probably weren't shipped yet (she knew what she was talking about and made reference to the Darth Vader).”

    Sandtrooper Darth Knotty Reports:
“Hello Troops! Darth Knotty here in Raleigh, NC to report that we seem to have been bombarded with the Target exclusive Plo Koon Jedi Starfighters. An entire shelf was full of them...pretty nice vehicle to boot. Haven't seen any new figures yet, but I'm sure if they're showing up in VA as reported, they will make their way up and down the east coast. We also have pretty much all of the Evolutions sets, and they're everywhere, with the exception of the second release clones to Stormtroopers. Nothing else new to report, but if you're having trouble locating a Plo Koon Starfighter, I can help, but act soon! Big thanks to the Staff at Sandtroopers for the awesome prize too...got it yesterday - Happy Birthday (again!)”

    Sandtrooper Indysolo Reports:
“I just wanted to update the site that last night at Target I managed to pick up the Lava Anakin (Vader) and Obi-Wan as well as the Clone Attack on Coruscant Battlepack in Massachusetts. The DCPI is 087060228 for the battlepack and for the lava figures 087060298. I called Target that afternoon and they pulled them from the back room and held them for the day. I never got the Lava Vader released on 4/2 so I’m glad I got these guys early. Good luck!”

If you roll with ST, you're guaranteed 7 or 11 EVERYTIME!“Hey Troops, Still no new figures in the stores to report but I ordered one of the Special Edition Shadow Troopers from Andrew's Toyz and it arrived today! I got to tell you this guy is way cool. Black with gray highlights, he looks very menacing. He came in super mint condition with a collector’s case to boot. A bit pricey yes but shipping was cheap so it didn't hurt. I had to have it! Their service is great by the way! No worries! 25 days until E3 and counting! Happiness is a warm Blaster! Rock on Sandtroopers!”

Sandtrooper Darth Eddie Reports: They're out there!
Killer Trooper“Just wanted to chime in and let you guys in the Sandtrooper community know that my collector friend and his wife were making a trip to the D.C./Alexandria metro area in Northern VA when they stopped at a couple of Wal-Marts to get food and fuel for the ride back down to our home city of Roanoke...they found the brand-new #65 Tactical Ops Clone Trooper (501st) along with a few other figures from the same spanking new Collection 2 assortments. I'm sorry I don't own a scanner and cannot post a couple of pictures of my new Tactical Troopers in their "Vader’s Legion!" packaging, but trust me...they're starting to show up, and OUT THERE! They saw a grand total of four 501st Tactical Troopers on the pegs and picked up all four...two for themselves, and TWO FOR ME! They didn't have enough money to get another new figure/character, but they think Commanders Gree and Bly were there as well. According to what they said and the receipt that came with their food and other purchases, the new figures all rang up for the new advertised low price of $4.77, despite being found a few days *before* the new sale price was supposed to be universal at all Wally Worlds. The Wal-Mart where my friends found the new Tactical Ops Troopers is in Alexandria, but that's all they know since they weren't paying a lot of attention to the location in relation to other businesses and landmarks. Keep looking, Troops! As hard to believe as it is, the 501st blue troopers have arrived! Just remembered that my friends also saw the new R4-P17 Droid mixed in with some of the other figures on the Alexandria pegs. They said they remembered a gold/rust-colored astro Droid with new packaging, but "it wasn't the one in the Preview Wave." Since R4 is part of the same new Collection 2 assortment, I'll assume it was him. I hope this news of the Tactical Troopers surfacing in Northern Virginia helps someone.”

Sandtrooper Darth Vegas Reports: Crappin' Out!
“Hey Troopers, I'm getting concerned. I haven't seen one of the new Action Figures released in any of my sectors. There hasn't been any disasters (thank God) in the Mohave Desert so what gives? I came across a red clone trooper 3 pack but that's about it. Pretty slow out here! I forgot to mention the new miniatures are out and are pretty cool. It's the Universe series and they have some larger scale figures that come in each box. Check 'em out! Got to scoot! I'll report in when I see the new figures. Darth Vegas Out!”
