A Friendly Reminder
Holiday JawasEntertainment Earth sent me an email yesterday, reminding me about my pre-order for the 2004 Holiday Edition Jawas that will be released sometime this December. For a second I thought it was an email stating they had just shipped, but since I already knew it wasn't shipping until December I realized it was still a nice reminder from them any way.

Area Report: Live from Miami!
Outta my way, or you'll get rolled over!Helloooooo America. Another South Florida transmission is about to take place directly from Miami and its latest toy store happenings. A valuable information for the locals and a laughable view for the rest of the country. After all, we are the last ones to receive anything new. Without further delay here are the news from the nation's southern most area:

Toys R Us: Lots of things going on this week at the giraffe store. Wanna sound like the man behind the breathing mask and black ropes? Well, leave it to Toys R Us to dress up your head this Halloween. Seems everyone here in Miami will be able to turn to the dark side this coming Sunday. They've gotten the Darth Vader Voice Changer mask by the truckload. No need to mention a specific location; they are everywhere!...If only that would be the case for new OTC figures we would be in plastic paradise.

Speaking of Toys R US, they've received again the VOTC ROTJ wave. A few Fetts and Stormies are still hanging from the pegs but hardly any Chewbaccas. I've seen a couple of VOTC Artoos but no Golden Droid and of course, lots a lots of Lando Pegwarmer Calrissian. As for the Y-wing well, they landed here on Tuesday but had taken off by Wednesday and seems its second "fleet flight" it's been delayed; their landing shelf space is empty. I did find a lonely one with a switched figure inside, no pilot but instead a S.W.A.T team member! This beautiful example of plastic theft can be admired at the Kendall Toys R US on 117th Ave and Kendall Dr. By the way this store has reduced its Star Wars are to a small 4 footer, four sided display and the new lady manager appears to have left the broom in the back ..try to approach her, you won't ... mean the witch, she is.

Last but not least, the Silver Vader has shown up in armies at SOME Toys R us while others don't even know about them. The Kendall Toys R Us STILL has some of them for $4.99 ?? while International Mall's TRU has them for $9.99 ..Go figure! So much for the FREE figure deal with a $19.99 purchase. When asked about it, an employee looked at me completely mesmerized ...."Eh? What sale?" He said ... He must had been experiencing a short trip to the Twilight Zone, a common experience among some retailer!

K-mart: Wow, I can't believe this name even comes up but heck, it is the only place where Cantina Scene 2 can be found with the REHASHED sculpt of the blue Snaggletooth and REHASHED friends. Yup, K-Mess, sorry ... K- M a r t has gotten them in good numbers! But be prepared for the worst scenario. I would say 95% of them have been given the bulldozer treatment, having beautifully crushed blisters, artistically taking up a diversity of shapes and forms. Nevertheless if you look among the damage ones you're bound to come up with one or two "unhurt" specimens. Where is this rehash trio? Give a try to the K-Mess on U. S 1 and 114th Ave right by Williamson Cadillac/Hummer. As for OTC figures they still have the same first and second Wave and they are the best place to find an incredible sea of perfectly lined up VOTC Han Solos. Such uniformity makes me sick!

K-B Toys: Cough! ... Cough! ... Cough! ... Next! Wait, wait!... Sawgrass Mills Mall had ONE OTC Greedo. Whew!

Target: Well, Target is best known as Scalperland here in Dade as well as Broward counties. Miss work, call in sick, drop a few classes ... whatever. But make sure you are there early in the morning and beat the scalper traffic; if you are not, chances are slim to get anything new. I've seen first hand scalpers rush inside the stores the minute the doors open, drooling to the smell of fresh plastic, like a hungry pack of wolves. So, with this view in mind, Target's gotten the latest Wave of OTC, as left overs indicated. I've seen the flatten out cards of the Gamorrean guard and Slave Leia at Dadeland Mall's. The U.S 1 store in Cutler Ridge sports the stupidest sign I ever seen. The sign is placed in the Star Wars area and it reads something to this effect: "We are out of Star Wars figures But we recommend Lord of the Rings figures for the same price" C'mon I'M LOOKING FOR STAR WARS! not LOTR! To them is all plastic! They really make you hold your breath and count till ten.

Wal-Mart: A mysterious place where figures could show up at any time or quietly disappear. Nothing, I mean N O T H I N G! Other than a couple of lonely Lando General Walmart has been a total Zero find this week. Okeechobee Walmart still has EP1 Figures, yes the ones I mentioned in my last report, nothing worth selling your house for. And if you want Unleashed Ben, head to 152 Ave and Kendall DR, there are three pegs THREE PEGS!..about to fall down packed with such figure.

And this brings us to the end. From the Expresso and cigars capital of Miami, Florida this has been a live report brought to you and sponsored by "Banthadene", the toothpaste that gives you that shiny Bantha smile! Banthadene on sale now at your local Tusken store. Until next week, hoping to bring you better news ... Desert Rat, Sandtroopers.com.

Area Report: Got Silver?
The Master Blaster wiff da Aftershock!Hey Troopers, I was at my local TRU today and they have the Silver Vader in stock for $9.99 or FREE with a $20 purchase. I picked up two Y-Wings and they gave me three for free! I don?t know if this was a mix-up or for every twenty you spend you get one but I would head out to TRU right now if you don?t wanna give the scalpers a chance to bend them all up! They had them behind the service desk so hopefully the slime won?t get a chance to destroy them like they did the Silver Clones! Good luck out there, Kick A#$ and take names. Thanks to Sandtrooper Jetfire for getting me outta bed!

Sandtrooper Jedimaster-C Reports:
Are they still making these?“Last Tuesday I was off and went to TRU and low and behold more Y-Wings came in, about 12 of them. I must say, I was a little apprehensive about the new Y-Wing but looking at it closely it looks pretty cool. I have the Gold squad version but I like this one as well. The only complaint is that the R2 unit is not removable but aside from that the ship looks very nice. A great way for people who got the shaft from Target. Take care.”

Sandtrooper Sithryan Reports:
“Hey Troops! I wanted to retract a previous statement on the VOTC Vader not being the best Vader ever. In the package, it looks OK, not great, just OK. Open one, and that changes altogether. The articulation is comparable to the super articulated Clonetrooper. This thing rocks! Unbelievable. Anyone have a Holiday Yoda? I need one. Email me and let me know if you have an extra. I'd be interested! I also have a Sandcrawler condition C-9 or better for cost plus shipping. I also have a bonus pack of OTC Jawas to add to this offer. Please let me know if anyone is in need.”

Sandtrooper Forcehunter Reports:
“The Toys R Us at the Avenues Mall just got in a ton of VOTC figs: Lando, Fett, and Vader. They must have opened a case recently, as they have been really hard to come by. No Stormtrooper or Yoda though. We haven't seen too much of anything else here in Jacksonville, FL lately!”

Sandtrooper Starfox Reports:
“Just a quick note from Central Texas, I took today off for my B-Day and decided to do a little road trip. I hit 4 different Wal-Marts within a 40-mile radius and every single one of them received 2 new cases of figures! The bad news, every single one of them was the SAGA Hall of Fame wave! How horrible is that! Severely disgruntled...Starfox signing out!”

Sandtrooper Sithryan Reports:
The Pride of Boise, Idaho!“Hey Troops! Sithryan reporting in from the northern territory of The Idaho Wastelands! (Wastelands in the toy isles it seems) The only find worthy of reporting is the ROTJ and Empire VOTC waves at Fred Meijer stores. They have a sale for buy 2 get one free, and at 9.99 each, not too shabby a deal. They had Fett, R2D2, Lando, Stormtrooper, Chewie, and Vader. The Vader isn't the best ever made that's for sure. No 3PO or Yoda anywhere. The employee stocking told me there were no Yoda or 3PO?s in the cases. Odd. The Fett is fantastic. Should have included this one with the Slave 1 also. Anyway- good luck on the hunt!”

24/7 S.C.A.L.P. Trooper“Hey Troopers, I did a small run this morning, I did find a few items of interest.

Target (Gurnee, IL): “had only 1 OTC Slave I (non-mint) on the top overstock shelf. They also restocked more SAGA (Jedi Luke/Hoth wave) figs just like the Waukegan Target.

KB Toys (Gurnee, IL): “had only 1 VOTC ROTJ Stormtrooper. That's the only new SW stuff I saw today in the stores. The rest of it was all peg & shelf warmers. That's all for now. Later.”

Site News: Changes Are Now in Place
After hearing many complaints of people not being able to see the drop-down menu on our front page, which helps you navigate throughout our site, I have removed that and added a new navigational method to the site called Sandwatch. In it, you will see different links like Collections, Forums, Staff, etc., and this section will continue to grow as time progresses. Something else that is new is the Sandtroopers.com Chat Room. Please keep in mind that this is an area of the site that cannot be administered by the Staff here, so we are not responsible for what is said in this environment. Lastly, the biggest noticeable change is that we have moved from two columns to three columns, providing more viewable content in the near future. Keep your eyes open for more content to be added here, and thank you for being a loyal Trooper to us. Until then, United We Find!

Halloween Costume Contest
Halloween Costume ContestHalloween is just around the corner, and I would like to ask all the Troops here to send in pictures of you in your Halloween costumes. In order to qualify you must hold up a piece of paper in the picture with Sandtroopers.com and your screen name written or printed on it. This will prove to us that this person is you, as some people may steal images from all over the Internet. These costumes do not have to be related only to Star Wars. Sandtroopers.com will accept all image submissions until Sunday, November 7, 2004 at 7:00pm (CST). After this date has passed I will post all submitted images on a single web page, and we will vote to see who has the best costume. The date of the drawing has yet to be determined, but will probably be only one week past the final date of submission. A prize will be given away to the person who has the best costume, and that prize will be the StarWarsShop.com exclusive OTC Holographic Emperor figure (courtesy of Jimsjedi). So, put on that Halloween costume of yours, submit a picture of yourself, and you could be the lucky winner of a new OTC Holographic Emperor figure!

They do have Cantina scene 2 w/ Blue Snaggletooth (Zutton) on sale for $17.99, right after I paid $22 bucks 2 weeks ago. Wal-Mart is now stocked with over 30+ each of the new OTC Madine, AT-ST Solo, Bespin Leia and a few Lando mixed in...plus about 100 of the ANH wave VOTC figs, nothing new coming through here in about a year! Target has not had a new figure in over a month now! Double AAARRRGGHHHH! TRU still has no sign of OTC figs yet, but they did have the Y-Wings & Vader voice Changers...that's all from Central Texas, Starfox signing out...”

Sandtrooper ACPin Reports:
Sandtrooper ACPin is at it once again, with his incredible imagination in the world of LEGO, by creating scenes on Hoth from the Empire Strikes Back.

Echo Base EntranceEcho Base Arrival: Han on his Tauntaun reaches the main entrance to Echo Base as dusk looms in the horizon. The main hangar of the rebel base is in a flurry of activity as the various airships are going through maintenance checks. The Millenium Falcon is also undergoing much needed repairs to get its hyperdrive into full gear.

Bacta TankAlways Welding: 'Do you know why I had Chewbacca work with a welding torch on the Falcon? That was the only thing I could find where you could see what he was doing. If he was screwing something with a tool, you wouldn't see anything. So whenever anything needs fixing, you'll notice the characters are welding!' - Irvin Kershner (Director ESB)

Jawa Sandcrawler and Luke Mini Bust.
Well today I went to my Comic Shop to picked up my Exclusive Previews Jawa Sandcrawler and Gentle Giants Luke Mini Bust. The Jawa Sandcrawler is the same mold as the vintage remote controlled Jawa Sandcrawler. This version though has a much better paint job is made out of soft plastic. The battery compartment is still there but now it is a hidden chamber. The bad thing about the Jawa Sandcrawler is that the threads have no wheels, so rolling over the dunes of Tatooine is out. Finishing off the Jawa Sandcrawler is the three figures; two Jawas from the Jawa 2-pack long ago and a repaint of the Death Star Droid. The Jawa Sandcrawler'e retail is $49.99 - $59.99 pending on where you buy it.

The Luke Mini Bust is also out. All I can say is that it is another masterpiece from Gentle Giant. Luke is in his Rebel Pilot outfit with Helmet that can be worn on his head or he can hold it in his arms. Luke is retailing for $45.99 at most specialty stores now. Two new Star Wars items are out this week. Happy Hunting.

Site Update Coming Soon!
Within the next couple of days I will be updating the look of our website again, for the second time this year. With this update I will have fixed the navigation of the site, because some people are unable to view the drop-down menu (located at the top of the front page) due to Java problems on their computers. Most people have always been able to view it, but this is something that had to be resolved right away. You will know when it has changed, but I will probably make another announcement once it has taken place. My biggest concern in the matter is that everyone will be able to view all of our website, without having any problems navigating through it.

POLL: How Do You Rate the Star Wars Trilogy DVD Set?
DescriptionI'm pretty sure just about everyone here has purchased the new Star Wars Trilogy DVD set by now, and hopefully you've been able to enjoy them on several occasions in the comforts of your own surround sound entertainment system. I am somewhat curious to know what my fellow Troopers think about the video and audio quality of this DVD set. Was it worth the purchase? Probably so, but that doesn't mean you're completely satisfied with the quality that was put out by Lucasfilm.

I have started a poll in the forms asking people how they would rate the DVD set, in regards to the overall quality of the video and audio, and I would like to hear your opinion about the matter. On a scale of 1-5, where 5 is the highest amount of satisfaction and 1 is the lowest, most people have selected the rating of 4. So, hop on over to the forums and cast your vote, and then feel free to explain why you chose your specific rating of the film.

Sandtrooper Jedimaster-C Reports:
Are they still making these?“Found a good amount of stuff today. I took today off of work to look around and found the OTC General Madine wave at one of our Wal-Mart stores. I also found the OTC wave that includes Bib Fortuna and the Gamorrean Guard at TRU. The Leia Slave was in the assortment too. They also had the Vader Voice Changer. I went to TRU on Saturday and they sold out of the Y-wings I saw last Wednesday. They didn't have them today. Back to the same ol? situation here in Alabama!”

Action Figures: How high could they go?
According to several websites and their price listings, it appears Star Wars figures will go up in price starting as early as with the first post OTC wave.

Online retailers show an increase of $15.00 when pre ordering future assortments of 3 ?-inch figures. The new higher price brings up the value on a case of 12 figures to a whopping $80.00 + shipping charges. Up to this point, and since the POTJ line, a case of action figures has retailed anywhere between $55.00 to $65.00 depending on the merchant..

The excuse for the price rise is said to be (as a well known webtailer claims it) the difficulty in finding new figures. Such "entertaining" store claims that: "Any Star Wars figure is going to be hard to get this Christmas season" and therefore the law of supply and demand will be applied. Funny to see, this same retailer has bragged about outselling Wal-Mart, yet they will be charging as much as almost $2.00 more per figure

The interesting thing is that online stores won't be the only ones increasing the price. Brick and mortar retailers will do so as well. Information obtained through a Target associate who wishes to remain anonymous claims that, they will be charging as much as $6.99 per figure starting with assortment #: 85172, which includes the Yarua/Pablo Jill wave.

With such bad distribution and many of OTC's tail end figures still not showing up in mass, we could very much expect to see OTC and post OTC figures on the pegs, same rehashes, going for $6.99 plus tax probably by year's end. Despite the different bar codes, their "ring up" will be adjusted to reflect the new, higher price.

Another excuse being thrown at us blames it on rising oil prices, as the resin used in plastic is indeed an oil based product. The manufacturing Asian toy market depends strongly on this resin and its price very well can remain at a high even long after oil prices could drop down. Thus the production and distribution of a toy becomes more expensive, translating into higher company spending and precipitating retail prices to increase in order to maintain a leveled profit. But haven't oil prices always been on the rise? When was the last time we paid $10.00 at the pump for a tank full of gas? Yet, the price on figures went down in passed years. So is oil really the issue here?

Honestly I believe this has nothing to do with supply and demand nor oil prices, but actually a greedy, manufactured attempt by the producing company at collectors' pockets as we enter the final stages of mass produced Star Wars toys with the release of the last Episode of the Saga.

Retailers are raising prices because Hasbro has raised their MSRP. Certainly it feels as a big slap on the face, seeing as we will that post OTC Wave 2 has ONLY three new figures and everything else in the case is rehashed OTC product.

But in your opinion:
- Is it far too early to panic about price hikes?
- What is the real reason behind all this?
- How do you feel about this?
- Will this have an effect on your buying and ordering?

Certainly the new higher price raises a lot of questions:
- Are we going to be getting a new card laminated in 24K gold?
- Will the figures walk and talk on their own?

More realistically... Will better materials be used for their production and better accessories supplied? Share your comments with us today. Post your thoughts on the subject or discuss it with us right here in our Forums. United ... we will find out!

Technology Behind the Making of the Star Wars Trilogy DVD Set
DescriptionToday, people are enjoying their purchase of the recently releasesd Star Wars Trilogy DVD set, in the comforts of their own home. The first two movies, The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, were filmed using digital cameras, and the use of that technology made editing the film that much easier to work with. However, the Original Trilogy (epsidodes IV through VI) were filmed on standard reel film, and throughout the years these reels collected dirt, dust and other harmful objects that deteriorated the quality of the film. With the latest technology, the crew at Lowry Digital Images spent thirty days cleaning up the film the best that they could. How did they clean up the film? They did so by using 600 Apple G5 computers! Read the full article written by BBC News.

Sandtrooper SoCal Dom Reports:
One of SoCal's Finest!“I am glad to see that everyone is finding a good majority of things. I have had some of the same luck, although it has been somewhat limited. I was able to score the Endor wave of figures and I picked up an extra set for a fellow trooper who needs it. All 3 would include the ATST Han, General Lando, and Madine. In addition, I also have an extra Cloud Car Pilot, Lobot, Bespin Leia and Scout trooper. I prefer to trade, as I am in need of 5 figures to complete the OTC line: #26 Luke Bespin, #27 IG-88, #29 Darth Vader - Hoth, #30 Gamorrean Guard, and #34 Darth Vader. I would prefer to trade one-for-one, but if nobody has anything, I will sell them at cost plus shipping.

I visited my local Toys R Us this week as well, and had some luck with the Y-wing; So Cal Rod, this pertains to you. I stopped in on Wednesday and asked the ever-so-busy associate to search her computer for the SKU # of the Y-wing, where her final answer was 4 in stock. With the idea that I was going to pick up 2 of them, one for myself, the other for fellow trooper Rod, she walked with me, over to the toy area, disgusted because she must have felt she had better things to do than render a little customer service. When we got there, also appearing a little distressed because of the long walk from the front counter, She then proceeded to inform me that the 4 were part of an assortment, and that the 4 tie fighters sitting on the shelf were the 4 shown to be in stock. I then asked how she could come up with that figure when there were 3 more Ties on the top shelves above, to which I was replied, "Those must not have been entered into inventory just yet." I then decided, after realizing this person was completely useless, I went to another associate to ask about backroom stock to which I was told, "I am not allowed to search in back for anything." I find this a little odd considering TRU's financial situation. You would think they would want to be selling anything they could possible to make a few dollars. Anyways, I went back the next day, and wouldn't you know, I see a collector with one in his hand, a little beaten up I might add. Went over to the section, all gone. Sorry Rod, I tried. I will keep checking, and I have an appointment with the manager Wed afternoon to discuss their practices.”

S.C.A.L.P. Costal Defender“Hey Troops, Donna from So Cal with some luck hunting on Sat. Was able to snag the last VOTC Stormtrooper and Fett and a OTC handstand Luke at Wal-mart. The OTC Endor wave is starting to hit Target so I picked up the Han AT-ST. I went to 3 Targets and only one had the Slave I but all three boxes were damaged so I passed for now. No sign of the Y-wing or Voice Changers at my local TRU. Also no Cantina II yet at my K-mart. They still have plenty of scene I. Lastly, stopped by the Mall and found the Deluxe Stormtrooper Mini-Bust and Wizards Minatures at Suncoast and a complete set of the Bust-ups at Hot Topic. Happy Hunting to all.”

Sandtrooper SoCal Rod Reports:
“What a day it was, or should I say what a day it could have been. Started out at the Hemet Target where I scored OTC Lando General, Han Endor, and General Madine. Good start to the day. Proceeded to the Hemet K-mart, which had Cantina Set 2 in over abundance. Just came out and already a shelf warmer. It did hurt a bit shelling out $19.99 for basically blue snaggletooth and not much else, but I guess that is the way it goes. The Hemet K-mart also had the 12-inch VOTC Boba who seems to be showing up more frequently lately. I looked over the few Fetts they had on the shelf, but they all looked to me like they had gray suits. As a matter of fact every VOTC Fett I have ever saw seems to have a gray suit! Hit the Temecula Toys "R" Us next with the usually Saga rejects, Darth Vader Ties, and the Overstock at Carkoon (or is that Skirmish at Carkoon) set. The only sign of Y-wing was a big empty spot on the shelf with a shelf tag. I guess I missed out on that one. Also no sign of the Darth Vader voice changer as well, but that is okay. I ordered it yesterday on Amazon.com where it is 35% off with free shipping with only one catch, does not ship until Novemeber 1st. Went to the Temecula K-mart next where they had an even bigger back log of Cantina Scene 2 then the Hemet K-mart, which had a pretty healthy Scene 2 supply. Get ready to see this scene taking up shelf space for years to come. Also checked a few Wal-Mart?s in the southland with zero luck. It seems the only thing Wally is getting in now-a-days in my neck of the woods are the VOTC figs.

To end the day, I spent three hours out in the garage trying to carve a Boba Fett pumpkin. Even though I had a template to give me a pattern for Fett this was a very difficult task. Thank God Halloween is only once a year because carving with an exacto knife all of Boba's detail is about as time consuming and frustrating as it gets. Although I must admit, once I was done and the candle under the pumpkin was lit with the lights out the pumpkin actually did resemble Boba Fett. I would have to say if I were driving down the street and saw this pumpkin on somebody else?s porch I would know.... that?s Boba Fett. Will be interesting to see if any of the neighborhood kids will know!”

Sandtrooper Jetfire bringing you some store reporting in style!
Deep recon from the Great Lakes state!Either after work or between the wedding ceremony and the reception while being all dressed up, this trooper is out hunting all the time for the latest goods. The Grand Rapids Target on Alpine has the Slave-1's. First time I've seen this in Michigan. A very nice piece indeed! Nothing on the pegs after the big sale that took everything BUT the old Saga pegwarmers. The Wal-Mart stores in the area have been quite lacking of anything new in quite a while, but they did put out a nifty Star Wars LEGO display that is about pallet size. It might be good for storing some toys. Meijers seems to be the place to find stuff these days as I came across the VOTC R2-D2, Lando, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, and Stormtrooper. They also put out a bunch of OTC Jawas and Tusken Raiders to help keep the OTC Snowtroopers company. They have by far the greatest selection of OTC figs in the area. Nothing new at our TRU's. We've still got a few POTJ Bo Shek's on the pegs at my local TRU as well as a ton of the Falcon's on the top shelves. No Vader voice changers yet either. Only thing that looked fresh was the Galactic Hero 2-packs with the ESB bounty hunters. All in all, it doesn't really seem like we've gotten anything substantially new in many moons. That's it for this time. Please keep this trooper in mind if you find a way to snag the display for the Sam's Club Falcon (see through oval with the ship and figures inside) or the Costco X-wing/TIE dogfight 2-pack. Sandtrooper Jetfire out!

Area Report: Your Powers are Weak Old Dad!
Thought I'd get dusty, thought I'd get rusty, thought I'd get rich and quit, he must be tired broke, black and blue But I'm trim fit rich and back for round IISince I haven?t heard from my local S.C.A.L.P. Trooper Dennis in quite some time, I decided to do some advanced recon and Y-Wing hunting of my own. The Target in Waukegan only had remnants of the OTC wave 1 and 2. Han Solo, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan and the many rehashes we all knew would be pegwarmers when the line was unveiled. There was no sign of the Slave I either in Waukegan or Gurnee Target stores which had pretty much the same selection of broke a#$ figures. The Toys R Us had plenty of the Skirmish at Carkoon, Endor 4-packs. There was also an abundant supply of the Darth Vader voice changer and I just couldn?t say no to my son pleading for it! There was one Wicket OTC figure and the rest were Saga warmers. The Wal-Mart in Gurnee had one lone Darth Vader Collector case, many of OTC figures as well. Mostly 1-25 but nothing rare or something I don?t already have. There were also quite a few VOTC style 12-inch figures even Boba Fett. The Kmart in Zion still had plenty of the Cantina Scene I with no sign of II though. I?ll keep my ear to the rail and hopefully they will show up soon. No sooner than I could post Jedimaster C?s report of the local comic shops the phone rang and it was my local shop saying they would arrive next week! I am thrilled with this news, not only I have a cool piece I picked up months ago, my son now has a great Christmas present for this December! Good luck Troops, keep the good word coming in and the only bad news is NO news!

Force of the Bay: The Greatest comeback in Ebay History!
Once again it was time to scourge the depths of ebay, and every time I find something worth bringing to you. There are some of the most accurate representations of costuming available in the props section. You never know what kind of things that could compliment your Halloween costume, you could also use that as a double for display purposes as well. You are most certain to find things from your days of Star Wars past, a ride down memory lane to your 1st grade lunchroom in this case. I really like the many Sandtrooper impressions on that article. You?re not too handy with the hands? Look no further than the depths of your wallet, and the props section. You may even find reasons to remember why Kenner was so great, and Hasbro could care less about us. I don?t recall Hasbro ever offering any kickbacks, only worthless Jedi Points and the ridiculous auctions last year. You don?t want to wait until next year for the Sandblast? You need that rare figure now? A little patience and a lot of money and it will soon be all yours. You could make the comparison to old and new as well. The hundred plus dollar R2-D2 that was sold back in 2002 to the original automated R2 unit! What the heck ever happened to those things anyway? They were supposed to be the coolest thing since sliced bread, and they just faded away. I guess we can again pin the blame on Hasbro, someday we shall get our Revenge. Whatever you are searching for is just a click away. It is all about the unique and you can definitely find it on the bay. You can find almost anything to add instant flavor to your collections. Remember Sandtroopers.com neither endorses nor authenticates any of the items featured here. Good luck to you great Troopers in your searches, Kick A$% and take names!

Bleeds Armor“Ann Arbor, MI: The VOTC ROTJ has been hitting Meijer stores in southern Michigan with regularity for the past week, but they don't last on the pegs for more than a day. The Toys "R" Us in Ann Arbor had four Y-Wings on the shelf today, and the packages were all basically mint. Also, the same store had a mountain of Darth Vader voice changers. I never thought that I would buy one, but after seeing one in person, it's pretty cool. There has been little else new in the area. But K-mart does have plenty of the 2nd Cantina Scene, and I found one Unleashed Clonetrooper. I don?t collect these, but I picked it for a trooper who wants to trade. Other then that, all I have to say is that Master Replicas knows as little about their rewards program as they do about their actual replicas. It?s like they make up the rules as they go. Great products, terrible customer service!”

Slices: An in depth look at Plastic Crime
It's happened to all of us; even if it hasn't directly touched us, we at least know about someone, either a relative or a friend, that have gone through the forever agonizing experience of this horrendous crime. A crime commonly committed in practically every city of our Nation, a crime where its perpetrators, hide and slice without any compassion.

We feel our blood boiling like lava from Mount St. Helens. We sense our temperature rise uncontrollably. We touch our ears and quickly pull away our hands as if the heat emitting from our biological listening pieces was ready to turn our fingers into a blob of melted butter... What has caused this sudden atmospheric change within our cranial world? ... Curious?

Take a ride on the wild side. A new slice attack is about to take place. Beware!

Sandtrooper George Reports:
“Ghost of QG from Kansas City here. Found some good stuff this week. Hot Topic (a t-shirt store) got in the Gentle Giant Bust-Ups in. Was able to get a complete set and both versions of Leia. K-Mart's got in the second wave of Cantina Sets, Toy?s-R-Us got the Y-Wing?s, and Target's had the Jedi Force Playskool figures (only got the Vader). Since Target does not have the Jedi Force figures on the alignment, you may need to get a stroker to check the backroom for you, like I did. The DCPI number is 087-06-1283. Thanks guys and always remember: Make the world a better place, punch a scalper in the face!”

Sandtrooper Jedimaster-C Reports: Y-Wings land in Alabama!
Are they still making these?“I went to TRU today after work and found the OTC Y-wing. It was a cool looking ship and it is fully put together in the box. Unlike the last version that was impossible to find. The only draw back is the R2 unit is not removable again. I?m out, and I hope the rest of you guys have the same luck finding the Y-Wing.”

Pablo-Jill, Yarua, Sly Moore, Queen Amidala and Rabe are the first look at the new line for 2005! What a delight it was to not see any rehashes in this assortment. Sandtrooepr Jon Reports: "We have a Strong Occupancy of Ohio, moving in for the Kill!"
Bleeds Armor“I was down in Toledo, OH today, so I hit the usual toy retailers to see if there was anything new. The Toys R' Us on Monroe St. had two of the new Y-Wings, but both of the packages were pretty messed up for toys that are new to the shelf. (I hope mine arrive via mail in better shape.) In terms of OTC/VOTC figures, the store had mostly SAGA peg-warmers, which have been sitting there for months and months. I stopped at two Targets, but no Slave 1 at either. The Wal-Mart on Cent
