Sandtrooper Baldrik747 reports:
Dateline: Sightings from Tucson.   "Out of four Walmarts, two TRU's, two KB's (they closed our KMarts down), and four Targets we have nothing in this town but tons of ARC troopers, Yodas, and Anakins. Thats it. I do however need a green clonetrooper 3 pack, so if any trooper has an extra, I have many things to trade (Jedi 3 pack, Durge with speeder, blue clonetrooper 3 pack, bonus 2 packs etc.). So please let me know as this would help me out loads. Good hunting."

Sandtroopette Lisette reports:
"Hi Troopers, Lisette from NYC reporting in. I visited the TRU in Times Square yesterday and found several pegs with the silver anniversary R2-D2 for $4.99. Are other TRU's selling these R2-D2 or is it only the TRU in Times Square? Other than that, I haven't found anything new other than the first wave of the Clone Wars action figure; Anakin, Yoda & Clone Trooper."

Sandtrooper Dennis Reports:
"I went to the Suncoast video store in the Gurnee Mills Mall (Gurnee, IL) and they had the Deluxe Clone Wars figures. They had Durge with swoopbike, Clonetrooper with speederbike, and the Jedi army 3-pack. That's all for now. Happy Halloween!"

Thanks for the news Dennis, and sparing me the tour of the entire North Shore as well as every other toy line I don't collect! Thanks man, you're a great Trooper. Your no nonsense 'get to the point' tips make it easy to see whether I need to jump on my Dewback and ride out!

Sandtroopette Donna reports:
"Hi Troops, Donna from devastated So Cal. My thoughts and prayers to all fellow So Cal troopers who have been affected by the Fires, especially Jedi Dom with whom I have traded recently.

"The only new item I have found within the last week was at TRU. They received the Hoth 4-pack with the corrected unbroken horn tauntaun. Thanks to Jedi Dom for hooking me up with the Red Clone 3-pack but I am still in need of the Green Clone 3-pack. I still have a Yellow 3-pack to trade or let me know what you want for it. Also, on a non-SW trade, I have the Chase Trevor Hoffman in Camo jersey sports pick that I would like to trade for either Jerry Rice in 49er jersey, Terrell Owens in variant white jersey, or Jeff Garcia in variant red jersey. If interested in either trade, please e-mail me. Happy Hunting to all!"

Sandtrooper RH2 reports:
"Hello fellow troopers, it has been a few months since I posted last. My toy run through Jacksonville, FL today landed me the 2nd wave of Clone Wars figures: Mace Windu, Asajj Ventress,Obi-wan Kenobi and Durge at the Wal-Mart at 103rd street. I found remnants at three other Wal-Marts as well. At the Targets I saw The 1st wave of Clone Wars figures plus the Padme secret wedding wave again. All 5 Targets have the A-Wing Fighter, but no sign of 12-inch Leia on speeder. Only 1 of the 5 Targets still carry the deluxe multipacks, making it extremely hard to complete my set at retail. Is this happening at any other Targets across the country?

"Toys 'R' Us had the newest wave of Unleashed figures (Emperor, Luke and Obi-Wan). They also had the 1st series of Clone wars and the Padme secret wedding figure wave as well. Kaybee toys got in the 2-packs but no ARC troopers were left, just Yoda and Anakin. They also received more old saga figures. I am sending out a call for help from my fellow troopers. I am in need of the green trim as well as the red trim 3 pack clone troopers. I also need the new deluxe sets of Jango Fett (Flying) and the Obi-Wan Kenobi (Force action). I have 2 extra sets of Clone Wars wave 2 MOC figures plus White, Blue and Yellow clone troopers to trade as well. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. MTFBWU"

Another red ARC trooper sighting
Hey Troops, I stopped by Wal-Mart today and they had restocked the Star Wars section again. Much to my surprise, there was the red ARC trooper hanging there. Sorry, only one left. I just read about this variation for the first time yesterday, and now there is one on the pegs here in Lafayette, IN! I can't believe Hasbro managed to sneak this one by us. When was the last time they managed to get a figure all the way to the pegs without us seeing it on the internet months before it hit? I am amazed. For you variation hunters, there were also plenty of Yoda's with the corrected lightsaber handle.

Sandtrooper Jedi Dom in the Woods of Wisconsin reports:
"Hey Troops, did a little hunting this morning and found that TRU must have finally gotten a new delivery. They had factory chase Padmes and library droids, Unleashed Anakins, Maces, and Dookus as well as hailfire droids and 12-inch Luke and Tauntauns. Target had 1 Yoda and Chian, which I bought, and the usual Clone Wars ARCs, Yodas, and Anakins. They also had the Command Gunship and both sets of the Council and the War Room. That's the news from East Central Wisky."

Area report, Lafayette, IN
Hey Troops, I stopped by Wal-Mart today. They had the new wave of Obi-Wan, Mace, Durge and Asajj Ventress in stock. This marks the first time I have seen these at retail, although I have seen reports from all over the country that they are showing up. Toys R Us also had the Unleashed Luke wave and the Hailfire Droid and Geonosian Starfighter.

Sandtrooper Drizzit in the Woods of Wisconsin report:
Redmen Club"I just wanted to send in this store report from Wisconsin. I just found a case of new Clone Wars basic figs at my Wal-Mart. It contained four Obi-Wans, four General Mace, and four ARC troopers. The case was crushed as though someone sat on the whole case. The odd thing about this find was that all the ARC troopers have red trim instead of the blue. I have never seen this mentioned before. I will send in a photo later today when I get home. Does anyone have any more info on these red ARC troopers?"

Sandtroopin' "SOLAR Rai" slaps on the 45 Sun-Block and reports:
"Along with the BIG solar flare, here is a BIG MD report: Just thought I'd pass along another report for the ol' troopa-doopa sandtroopas. Took a ride to Annapolis Mall (Annapolis, MD) to get some photos and decided to do a little toy shopping. KB*Toys has finally reopened, and I was welcomed back by the woman who let me root through all those SW cases to find the two Ephant Mons hiding within all those many moons ago. At first, I hadn't noticed what had been remodeled, but then I noticed the wood floor, and altered store faade. I was also informed that the shelving units were new. Anyway, they didn't have much other than the typical SW clearance fodder. Other toy lines of note (at least to me), were LOTR Armies of Middle Earth (of which they seem to have received the most recent waves of figure multipacks and horse & riders, like mounted Ringwraith #2, Legolas & Gimli on horseback, and Orc & Warg #2, also Haldir with Elven Archers, etc). They also seem to be carrying McFarlane's Twisted Land of Oz figures for those interested in such things. There's plenty of clearance fodder in terms of McFarlane Toys. There's also a bin of clearanced action figures up front by the door.

"KB*Toys is also in cahoots with Sears for Christmas, so Sears at the Mall has some space set aside for toys, though it's mostly the stuff that KBs can't or don't care to carry (leftovers basically), but that's no reason not to check it out. If I recall, the few toy aisles are somewhere near the treadmills and lawnmowers. Babbage's at the Mall has little in the way of new toys, but both Matrix and T3 toys have been marked down from $12.99 to $9.99. The T3 boxed set there was $19.99 as opposed to $24.99 everywhere else I'd seen it up until then (so maybe they are beginning to think about clearancing that stuff). They also had some marked down Spawn figures, Shadowrun Duel, and Marvel Legends figures.

"Electronics Boutique (also at the Mall) didn't have all that much. They seem to deal almost exclusively in McFarlane Toys these days, and mostly Sports Picks at that (there are plenty to be had there). They also have some other stuff (like 12-inch Tortured Souls figures), maybe some Simpsons, Soul Calibur II, and DragonBallZ (if memory serves). Oh, and one Rizzo the Rat from Palisades' Muppets line. Nothing here to really to catch my eye otherwise, though.

"Sam Goody, which is near EB, usually has some interesting stuff. They had some of NECA's A Christmas Story, Gremlins, and Hellraiser Series I and II figures there. Before, it was McFarlane who set the standard for sculpt and paint application in the toy industry, but these toys from NECA look every bit as good if not better than McFarlane's stuff. Nice to know that other companies are stepping up to the plate. Their Matrix toys are now on 25% off clearance, probably to make room for the next series that's coming out soon. If anyone's seen the new feature on McFarlane's website, they'll know we are bound to get some really nice new statues *ahem* figures (27-inch Sentinel, Morpheus, Niobe), but also some real stinkers (Smith really disappoints, in opinion, he looks like the Lord of the Dance). I was really hoping for figures of more minor characters, but don't really see this line going beyond this next series. Anyway, there's always something interesting (and overpriced) at Sam Goody.

"GameStop near the Mall has marked down their Matrix toys to $9.99 as well. Their clearanced and 'no shelf space for these toys' bin has returned. Crowded around (and under) the bin are several McFarlane boxed sets. They didn't have any price reduction or % off stickers though. Not much going on here.

"In the less than 36 hours since I last visited TRU in Annapolis, they seem to have gotten in some good stuff (all of which promptly left the store before I returned apparently, examples include LOTR:ROTK figures which were scant Monday morning, and also what I postulate to have been a new case of The Matrix toys, no Twins, obviously, grumble grumble). Anyway, they still had plenty of other stuff. They got in what looks to be like 30 or so Unicrons. Like I said before, new LOTR:ROTK stuff which also included 11-inch talking Gollum &Smeagol, more rotocast figures (Aragorns and Legolases this time). They still have their supply of Armored Trolls, and now seem to have some more horse & rider sets. Spawn 23 figures are now marked down to $5.98, along with the Star Trek Nemesis and Enterprise Broken Bow figures. For 1:18 diecast freaks, they had Beanstalk Group's Ford F150 and GTs, albeit in 'build it yourself' format, $15.99 for a non-pre-built GT is a really nice price ($19.99 for the F150). Reviews of the pre-built versions have been extremely positive (if not gushing). I'm not much of a Ford fan (poor customer service has plagued them for years and years), but these are nice models (can't wait to see the 2005 Mustang GT concept that's coming out any day now). As for Star Wars, well, they had fewer of the Clone Wars figures there than I saw last time. Otherwise, stuff doesn't really seem to be moving. Well, that's pretty much the lowdown. Hope all's well out in troopaland. Peace!"

Sandtroopin' Rai wiff' da' latest MD toy sitcheeation:
"Target in Bowie, Maryland sold out of their Hailfire Droids awful quick, and there isn't all that much in the way of new SW figures (though they did get in a couple of cases of Endor Bunker Han, Mynock Hunt Chewie, and friends - mostly Red Clone Troopers). Looks like they are starting to get their Chrismas stuff in. I saw scads of TMNT and Power Rangers. They also had a 1:6 scale Humvee with a 12-inch GI Joe figure hanging out inside (that sucker was huge). I wonder what they did with all those Unicrons.

"TRU in Annpolis has some Imperial Forces and Bounty Hunter multipacks (a dwindling supply), and lots of 12-inch figures. Looks like they've also gotten in the Yoda, Anakin, and ARC Trooper Clone Wars wave. I wonder if they will get in the Spawn 24 and Matrix McFarlane stuff? For the last waves of those respective toy lines, TRU was not initially one of the vendors on the 'Where To Buy' list, so I bought them somewhere else, only to find them at TRU about two months later for less money. After that, I checked the 'Where To Buy' lists again, and wouldn't you know, TRU had shown up where it was not to be seen before. I guess it makes sense. Why would McF want to screw places like GameStop, EBGames, and Suncoast by saying that TRU will carry their product as well? Then people like me would just wait for it to come out at TRU where I know it will be much cheaper ($12.99 vs. $8.99 for Spawn 23 is a big deal). Anyway, LOTR fans may find a lone rotocast Aragorn figure, as well as some horse and rider sets and the big Cave Troll figures. Also looks like they are starting to get in some of the Armies of Middle Earth figure packs. Overall, not too much new there.

"For all the Marvel Legends Fans out there, TRU in Annapolis (MD) got in some X-Men boxed sets with the Exclusive Rogue figure. $40 a pop ($8 per figure) seems kinda pricey. I remember (back in the day) when I was able to pick up a hyper articulated Spidey for $4.99. And when I was your age...!"

"Work was weird. Some dude was on drugs or something, and walked into the office, and stared at the ceiling for like 10 minutes. The owner called the cops, and had the dude arrested. It was really weird. The rest of the day was pretty boring though, until I found the new Clone Wars Asajj Ventress, Mace, and Obi in Mentor, Ohio. No Durge though. Absolutely awesome find. Other than that, nothin' new."

Sandtrooper So Cal Jedi Dom Reports:
"I wanted to extend my thought and prayers to everyone in the Southern California area who has been directly and indirectly affected by the wildfires. After having lived out in So Cal for all 28 years of my life, I have never seen it as bad as it has been. I have seen many wildfires in my lifetime, but to have nearly every county in So Cal on fire, is upsetting and very tragic. I grew up in San Diego, and to have friends lose their homes and many others have theirs threatened, including my in-laws, cousins, and parents, I can only ask that everyone pray that no more homes or lives be lost. Be sure to thank your local emergency personnel for the job that they do. Though the fires have consumed more than 800 homes, these firefighters have saved thousands more.

"Just thought I would send a couple of shout-outs to two troopers who I have had made great trades with in the last week. First, Troopette Donna for SoCal who traded a yellow trooper 3-pack for a red one. That was able to complete all 5 3-packs. Thanks again Donna for a great trade. Also, Trooper Dom from Wisconsin for an Unleashed Mace Windu. He has helped me fill in a few gaps in my collection. Thank you too!"

Hey Troops, I stopped by Target today. They had in stock the Clone Wars Yoda, Anakin and ARC Trooper. There were at least 8 of each of these on the pegs. Also, they had a couple of the Hailfire Droids and Geonosian Fighters. Finally, they had plenty of all four varieties of cinema scenes. I know these are getting to be pretty common around most of the country, but this is the first time I have seen these kind of numbers here in Lafayette.

"Hi Troops, I just want to put the word out that So Cal Jedi Dom is a great trader. I've traded with him a few times and am always completely satisfied. Just got an Unleashed Yoda from him in mint condition. Other than that, it's getting colder in East Central Wisconsin and there is nothing to report on SW finds. MTFBWY" - Dom, dsollitto@new.rr.com

Sandtrooper Dennis Reports:
"I spotted the Clone Wars value packs for $5.99 at the KayBee in the Gurnee Mills Mall (Gurnee, IL), this morning. A fellow collector saw the dealer from Wisconsin buy a couple of them. They're finally showing up here. Hopefully they'll get some more to meet demand. There were only 2 pegs full of them, mostly Anakin & Yoda with a few ARC troopers. The Gurnee, IL TRU had Hoth packs with the correct (unbroken horn) Tauntaun. That's all for now, later."

Federation Toys in Kane Co. Illinois this Weekend:
On a more local front, Federation Toys' site is down and will be back up on Tuesday. If any of you Troops are in the area for the Kane County Toyshow in St. Charles, Illinois, I would recommend the minimal cost, and check out the show. I attended last spring and it was a great haul for me. For more info on this show click here for details.

A Day LONG Awaited - Words from the Master:
"Jedi Master Perez, Toms River, NJ, jedi05@aol.com. Greetings Fellow Sandtroopers! It's been a few months since I last posted but I have a good one. KayBee Toys on Rt 70, Cherry Hill Mall, has special 2 Packs of yellow, blue & white Clone Troopers packaged with Clone Wars Yoda & Clone Wars Anakin. These 2 Packs are just $5.99. They look great! Still looking for Coleman Trebor, Asajj Ventress, Clone Wars Mace & Durge. Are these figures out yet??? Feel The Force!"Good Morning! Nice of you to drop by Master Harry Perez, we've been expecting you! Master Perez is one of the great Troops out there in Trooperland and was one of the pivotal people to get me, the General, involved with Sandtroopers.com with his great trading and selling HTF items to me at cost. Let me answer your question, Master, with another question, the more important question: "Is Hasbro stil making these?" Actually, Coleman is out in Wave 13, whilst the other three figures are Clone Wars basic Wave 2 coming soon to a scalper's nest near you! Feel the Force, and UNIFY!

Sandtrooper SoCal Dude reports:
"Just an observation over the past few days from a scorching hot SoCal. Plenty of Hoth 4 packs have been hitting local TRUs with the non-broken horn Tauntauns. Wondering whether anyone across this great land has had the same observation. One more thing, if anyone has an extra Holiday C-3PO and R2-D2 from last year they wouldn't mind parting with, I can do a trade or even purchase it outright. Thanks fellow Troops and keep up the Good fight! OUT!!!"

Sandtrooper Jowa6 reports:
"The new waves have landed in Austin, TX. At all Targets I have seen the WA-7 wave and AotC Clone Wars figs. I have also seen these figs at the Wal-Mart in Round Rock and Mega-lo-Mart in Arlen. TRU on I-35 has Hoth 4-packs, Anakin and Dooku Speeders and earlier waves like the Throne Room Luke wave. I have also found a variation of the AotC Yoda, I have searched high and low for another, but no luck. The common Yoda I have seen is the one with the short lightsaber handle, like the way it is pictured on the back of the card. The one I have has a handle that extends another handle length and is painted silver. Has anyone else come across this variation or is it just a fluke. Would like your thoughts. MTFBWY"

Sandtrooper Sithryan reports:
"I need assistance! My last request went unanswered for the Red and Yellow clone packs, so I'm upping the ante. I will pay $20.00 each, if shipped priority mail for the red and yellow clone army packs. That should work out as cost plus shipping plus 5 bucks extra for each (they must be C-9 or better). Also, I traded with Kevin Roberts (onebigk@aol.com) and my item was received in excellent condition! Kevin is a great trooper. Someone please help me with my Clone packs!!! Thanks much."

Sandtrooper Jedi Hitch reports:
"Hi Troops! It's been some time since my last post but I've found some good finds in the Spokane Valley area here in Eastern Washington.

Walmart: Clone Wars Yoda Wave as well as some more Aayla wave.

Target: New Deluxe packs such as Durge w/ Speeder, Red Clone 3pk, and the Clone w/ Speeder. They also received the exclusive A-Wing as well as the other non-exclusive vehicles (note on the A-Wing: They are on the top shelf on the other side of the aisle - if you look at the Star Wars section and then turn around you should see them).

Toys R Us: They are swimming in the Clone Wars Yoda wave. They also have the Hoth 4pk as well as the Obi-Wan/ Luke/ Sidious Unleashed Wave.

Kmart: They actually got in the Waitress Droid wave as well as the same Deluxe packs mentioned in the Target section.

KB: Nothing worth talking about except for the Playskool Falcons they got in.

Shopko: They got in more of the Spider Droid and Super Battledroid Builder Deluxe figures.

Fred Meyer: They had the Jedi 3pk as well as the Yellow Clone 3pk.

Also, for those of you who live in the area and are familiar with White Elephant (local toys/sporting goods store) I found the Unleashed Leia and Vader without helmet for $12.98 each. Not bad if you don't mind the fact that they mark their prices with a permanent marker on the front of the package. Well, that's it for now. Take care Troops!"

Area Report: Run for the Border
Hey Troops, hit a few stores up the last few days. The only thing shaking is new Clone Wars Figures at the Target in Waukegan, IL, with all three common ones in stock. No A-Wings or Leia on Speeder Bikes as of yet. Gurnee, IL TRU has some remains of the Screen Scenes leftover and a few Han Hoth Rescue to join the rest of the Lott Dods warming up the pegs. The Wal-Mart in Kenosha, WI has been getting Clone Wars singles (no more value packs!?!) and some of the later Saga figures: Ashla & Jempa, Barriss, Aayla etc., with what seems like weekly shipments. I have yet to find a Hailfire Droid around here, seems that is "U-Man's" latest target. Mr. Unemployment, someday perhaps you will find a real job instead of making your living beating people to the toy store and expecting a profit from it. The legions of S.C.A.L.P. Troopers are forming and you may want to learn to draw Binky or something! Some of these guys are real nasty Hombres. Other than that, seems like the drought is over and I'm looking forward to the coming months when toys are the forefront of shipping and receiving. Good luck to all you great Troopers. Kick A$$ and take names!

Update: I regret to inform the Troops I have a prior engagement and will NOT be at the Kane County Toy Show this weekend. Federation Jim will have to keep my Rum and Coffee warm until the next show!

Force of the Bay: Hit and Run
I decided to take on a mission of S.C.A.L.P. recon at ebay, and what a great week it is for the rare and unusual. This item is neither, but for those of us who are more Tim Allen rather than Bob Vila. What a great way to display your collection, Ulta who? I am not a collector of pre-school items but if you were, the bay is the place for you. Every time I visit I always see something really cool that would look good in my collection. From the famous Uzay bootlegs to the most obscure Power of the Force items. There is very little I have seen in price guides etc. that I haven't found at ebay much cheaper! Occasionally you get the suckers that think they will retire off one listing, but for the most part you can find the means to cut them down. Seriously, you can find just about any hard to find Star Wars collectible in the package 24 hours a day. So whether you're looking for the whole thing, or just the finishing touches, I guarantee you will find it. Many times you will find something that makes your jaw drop and wonder how anyone could spend that much for one loose action figure. Our friends at Cloud City Collectibles have done it again. Remember Troops, please exercise caution at ebay, research the people you are doing business with via feedback checks. Good luck to you in your finds. Kick A$% and take names!

Special thanks to Amanaman Dan for showing me the 8k plus Boba Fett! I can't afford it either Monwell!

"I have some items to trade and need some help out there. I have most everything that is current, however, I am trying to fill some very large gaps in my collection. I have the following to trade:Coleman Trebor, Wat Tambor, WA-7, Emperor, new Unleashed Boba Fett and Unleashed Han Solo.

"Unfortunately, my needs list is rather small. I am looking Saga Janus Greejatus, Bail Organa, Padme Lars Homestead, Ayy Vida, Elan Sleazebaggano, Obi-wan Outlander, concept Stormtrooper, Acklay, Unleashed Slave Leia, Toyfair Vader, 3-3/4 inch Han with Tauntaun, Holiday 3PO & R2, and Holiday Yoda. New NJO review posted
Hey Troops, I finished The Final Prophecy by Greg Keyes. This was his third book in the NJO series, and in my opinion his best. And that is no small statement, before Prophecy, Conquest (Keyes first NJO novel) had been my favorite. Fans of Corran Horn will be happy to see that not only is he back in the story, but he is one of the major characters! Those of you looking for more stories about Han, Luke and Leia may be a little disappointed as they have only small roles, but I was ecstatic to have some 'freshness' pumped into the NJO. There was plenty of character development in Prophecy from some characters we haven't seen much of lately. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did. For more information, check out my full review.

SANDWATCH - 'Droids Defeated by the Men with No Names'
SANDWATCH’S FOURTH COMING"This is going to be really cool if they can keep us happy and keep bringing out good products like Jedi Knight Army packs." - If only Hasbro could figure out a way to stop the retool invasion, these are a heck of a start. My Crimson brother Lord Spiceowan flew solo in this edition of SANDWATCH, and reviewed the Jedi Knight Army 3-pack from the ongoing Clone Wars multipack series. In a series devoted to recolored upon recolored Clones, why do they give you a three pack of generic Jedi? Oh I get it, you have to have some good guys get killed right?
What in the blue hell is THIS?!

"Jundland Wastes Terror" Diorama by ACPin:
Crowd ride at Mr. Bungle concert"The group of Jawas surprise the R2 unit with their stun blaster. Helpless and immobilized, the R2 unit gets carried away from the rocky pass of the Jundland Wastes and into the Sandcrawler. This is in response to numerous requests about the previous diorama 'Jundland Wastes Danger' that was left unresolved. So I went back and shot the continuation of the scene." Have it your way Kathy Craine
Allentown, PA South 4th Street Big Kmart received a case of Clone Wars Multipacks/Deluxe figures today. They had 2 Durge with Swoop Bike and Du-Rag (Durge is a Lucas driven anagram for durag), 2 red eyed Clone with snap-on armor, speeder bike, and Clear eyes bottle, and one red Clone Trooper pack. Masters of the Universe Ram-Man, Syklone and Buzz-Off are now on the pegs there again, and four Unicrons buckle the top shelf.

KB in South Mall across from Burger King got seven, yes, seven more cases of Summer '02 product, this time bringing a few Endor Rebel soldiers with Venus shaver to the wall of bunker buster Hans and Obi-Wans with headband. EB Games in the same mall did get in the WoS Simpson diorama 2-packs, but the Lehigh Valley scalper swooped in and snatched them all, along with the NFL 6 variants that KB got in. The SE PA card-bender and his apprentice have not been seen in the area. Their remains are rumored to be hanging in Burger King's cold storage freezer smelling of chicken juice.

Mutual of Omaha's AISLE KINGDOM with Sandtrooper Lin Que:
"Lin Que here with a long overdue Midwest Report. The newer stuff is starting to become more and more common. I walked into an Omaha, Nebraska Wal-Mart a few days ago and saw the SW restocked with Coleman, Padme, and Barriss. The Clone wars are here with all the first wave being pretty common. No sighting of Clone Wars three packs however (the only thing that seems to hang around are those God-awful droid launcher). Yesterday at Toys 'R' Us I saw the new Unleashed wave (Luke, Obi, Emperor) and the reissue gold card wave. I picked up a Luke Skywalker but it was bent to high hell. If anyone sees an extra Durge or Clone on Speederbike please let me know. I'll be happy to pay/trade for it. Here are my trades: Evil Lyn, Twin Two, Eowyn in Armor, Chase Whiplash, Emmit Smith in New Jersey, and Teela. All are MOC. I really need some help so if someone out there can help it would be appreciated."

Sandtrooper JC reports:
"More coming into Western New York this week. Dexter's favorite waitress has been making an appearance this week. This new wave has been seen at the Target stores in Kenmore & Niagara Falls and also at KB Toy Works. Target stores this week also saw the first shipments of the Durge deluxe figures. I was under the impression that packed with this assortment was the red Clonetrooper 3-pack, but I can confirm first-hand that this is not the case. More Jedi Knights come in this case assortment. Also, more Geonosian Starfighters & Hailfire Droids at Target & TRU.

"The one-time internet exclusive A-wings were at Target last week (12 of them), but are now gone. If anyone's still looking for these, check on the top shelves in the toy dept., not necessarily in the Star Wars area. Finally, TRU in Niagara Falls has gotten in the Unleashed series with Sidious, Obi-Wan & Luke. These are the first unleashed figures I've seen in the area since before last Christmas.

"I would like to take the opportunity to thank those who responded to my request for the Drew Bledsoe McFarlane NFL series 6 figure. I have been able to obtain the common one (blue shirt/white pants), but I am still looking for the chase version (white shirt/blue pants). Along with many SW figures to trade, I also have a ROTK Prologue Bilbo as well as Eowyn in armor. Feel free to email me & we can work out a trade."

Sandtrooper jawasjunk reports:
"Hi, This is the first time I am writing to sandtroopers as I have been a reader for just about 1 year. I have collected all the Star Wars licensed Kubrick and have noticed that the carded kubrick luke is on epay. That piece is highly sought after in Japan as I have learned from one of my friends in Japan who helped me collect all of them with the exceptions of the unlicensed and chases. These are hard to get and rather cool looking retro carded. I'd just like to say before you buy from ebay, make sure you are buying from someone who actually knows something about what they are saying in their description. e.g.:

'It is a NEW and SUPER RARE Japan Exclusive MEDICOM Kyoto National Museum Star Wars Exhibition exclusive Carded LUKE SKYWALKER that was sold exclusively in the Museum Shop in Kyoto National Museum.'
- or -
'This Kubrick is only available at the art of star wars exhibition at Kyoto National Museum in Japan on 24 June, 2003. NOT FOR SALE and FOR INVITED GUEST ONLY.'

"The figure was offered online for purchase directly through Medicom but you need to have a Japanese address. In other words, no foriegn address. Word is they did offer it for one day at the Kyoto Museum, but later offered it online. Take Care."

Sandtrooper Jedimaster-C reports:
Dateline: TRU Invasion.   "Well, I went to TRU in Northern Alabam after work this evening and found a ton of stuff. Here is a quick run down: Emperor wave, and Clone wars wave (they had about 10 ARC Troopers). This isn't related to Star Wars but Hasbro has reissued the a G.I.Joe vehicle form 1988. The Mobile Command Center. It is very nice and huge. It has a price tag of $59.99. Take care all."

Sandtrooper Ahawk12 reports:
"Well My local TRU put out a little bit of new stuff this morning. They had the new Clone Wars Deluxe Durge and Clone Speederbike. Also to note in that case there was a Jedi 3 Pack. Also, they put out some Clone Wars Wave 1 basic figures, the Halifire Droid and Geonosian Fighter. The also restocked with the Luke, Obi, Emperor Wave of Unleashed. My local Target has not put out anything new this week. Last week they put out Wave 1 of Clone Wars figs. Also the A-wing and 12" Leia with Speeder. My Wal-Marts are slowly putting out some older '03 stuff like the Aayla Wave and earlier. Not much else to report. I hope that the stuff keeps going onto the shelves. MTFBWY."

THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE - Sandtrooper Observation
Our good and innocent Stormtrooper Botany 500 wrote with excitement:
"I didn't know they were releasing a Greedo on the new gold card but I managed to pick up two. I was wondering whether they are a Target Exclusive since that's where I bought them. How rare are they and what is the value? Is Hasbro releasing figures and not telling us keeping it a secret? Because if so, I like it, the feeling of finding a figure you didn't even think existed. Thanks. Anyone willing to trade, I've got an extra one, get back."
Our crack team has made a victorious comeback after being dispatched in a ferocious mission looking for proof on this find. We are committed to further proceed with this investigation until we accomplish an ... (Sorry Botany 500), arrest.

Botany 500, I know you weren't given the conclusion of our investigative effort and it is now, you will read about this for the first time. I'm afraid the final notes of our search might affect your emotional state of mind at this point, taking away happiness and bringing in depression. But remember, there is always hope and we are not alone. We want to believe!

As of right now, we kindly ask you to take a few deep breaths, find your store receipt and return your two "Saga Greedos" We are sorry to tell you this but as the gathered results of our in depth team investigation will further show, returning the figures is in your best interest. Please, read:

Federal Bureau of Sandtroopers Investigations (FBSI)
5150 Dewback St.
Desert 6, Tatooine OU812
File # : 3156
Subject: Investigation on Bottany 500 Saga Greedo Find
    a) There was a Greedo indeed inside the new gold striped Saga card.
    b) The Saga card was that of Lt. Dannl Faytonni.
    c) Card and blister were in excellent condition other than ... (see D).
    d) Right and bottom sides of blister were sliced with precision.
    e) A perpetrator used sophisticated equipment to remove original figure.
    f) Original figure was replaced with POTF2 Greedo.
    g) Blister was re-attached to card using UGS (Unidentified Gooey Stuff).
    h) We have created a criminal profile on this event and will compare notes with others.
    i) Late night talk show radio host George Noorey has been informed.
    j) Expect a special program to air in Novtober on "Coast to Coast A.M."
    k) We were able to get in touch with The Flikhincubanos. They've promised a full report on their own investigation in a similar case.
    l) The Flikhincubanos will post pictures soon after they overcome the symptoms of the huge hangover they've got after watching the Marlins win.

    Crack Team 357
Head of Investigations Commander J. H. Betancourt

This completes the full report on our investigation. Thus, as you all can see, what you see is not always what you see. What you see might be the sophisticated and professional work of "The Switcheroo Bandit"

Hopefully the Flikhincubanos will give us a helping hand, showing us a further view within their own investigation, and providing sufficient evidence to narrow down our search.

As a last note, we advise any troopers out there to double check your finds and make sure they haven't suffered the attack of this kind of individuals. Remember Hasbro will always tell us, sooner or later, what is going to be offered.

PS: While visiting Botany 500's hometown, please do not stay at the French Motel "Le Roach" ... they really honor the name!

Sandtrooper Dennis Reports:
"I picked up an ARC Trooper at the Waukegan, Illinois Target this morning. There were only 2 left when I was gone. At least they're finally showing up in this area. They also had Clone Wars Yoda and the usual '02 & '03 figs. Same two Green Clone Wars Jedi Starfighters and many Battle Droid Launchers as well. That's all for now."

Images Reloaded:
With great pleasure I accepted the challenge of picking up the pieces of the 2002 Images section here at Sandtroopers vacated by Gen. Vaughn. With his departure and our Ace 1 photographer and co-founder George Collazo there was a void left here for quite some time. General Jason and I decided to take a break from Sandwatch Action Figure Reviews to rebuild the Images for 2003. The original concept is still there however I did my best to 'Spice' up some of the Action shots and blend in new and older figures. I did the best I could to make Uncle George and Count Vooku proud. Hope you all enjoy as much as I did when putting the section together. I'd like to thank Gen. J with the never-ending assist, as well as Sandtroopers Chicano Dom, Matt-Large of the Racine, WI Techno Union and Jim at Federation toys for assistance in locating the goods! I will do my best to keep up with new figures. But now to the good part, we will be back on the attack A.S.A.P. with Sandwatch real soon. United We Find!

Flikhincubanos Mountaineers Sandtroopers Register their Disgust!
"Hello, the Flikhincubanos are VERY, VERY, VERY upset this time. Although, now it has nothing to do with another collector's post directly but rather towards the stupidity, lack of common sense and mediocrity of some so called 'commentators' or 'answer givers' around this spiderless WEB.

"Our anger has almost made us puke after reading some retarded comments by those self proclaimed 'Knowledgeable people,' you know, those giving answer to questions sent in by collectors traveling into another dimension or out of the hobby for the last 50 years.

"Our blood is boiling to the point that last time we took our temperatures the thermometers' mercury fillings reached the end of the line and cracked them opened and WHY??!!! We'll tell you why! Simple and clear:

Gotta love what the Troopers are doing!
JEDI MASTER POINTS AUCTIONS: THE STUPIDEST IDEA TURNED REALITY

"As collectors we feel at rage, angry and disappointed to see how we have been segregated, put aside, thrown in our own little 'reservations,' just like the native Americans.

Is it fair after all these years of collecting, after all these years of shelling out mega bucks and supporting Hasbro and the Star Wars line to make auctions for the JMP where only a few can benefit?

NO, NO, NO, NO!!! Don't get us wrong! Hasbro doesn't owe us anything. After all they are a business and we are simply, consumers. BUT, BUT, BUT the problem here deals with a new illness Hasbro is spreading out called "The Triple U Shake" (Unfair, Uneven, Unfriendly Shake) abbr. "UUUS."

"... 'What do you mean' - you may ask. 'What are you talking about?' We are talking about auctions conducted or geared to ONLY three kind of people: Dealers, Army builders or yes, that is right ... Scalpers!

"C'mon how many people can actually come up with 5000 Jedi Points, just to start up an auction? How many people can actually win auctions whereas in the case of Kitik Keek'Kak the final result is way over 13,000 JMP? AND ... weren't we told by Hasbro a few months back that the auctions weren't going to include any non-released items? So WHY IS THE SECOND WAVE OF CANTINA FIGURES BEING OFFERED FROM DAY ONE????

"Now we hear 'rebellious' commentators, 'answer givers' licking Hasbro's boots and saying that the auctions are the 'hottest thing' around?? GIVE US A FLIKHINCUBANO BREAK!! Hot to whom? Hot to those that have amassed 1,000's of points, hot to those that are stealing JMP from stores (we've found quite few castrated packages, missing the points) and hot of course to those with a close connection to the big H who are benefiting from spreading out what it isn't true and giving a false sense on how the collecting community feels about the auctions.

"We have spoken to tens of collectors here in the Orange/Banana Republic of Miami, Florida, and, every single one of them look at the auctions as a simple joke, as something unreachable, out of their league. THIS IS THE TRUE SENTIMENT OF THE MAJORITY OF THE COLLECTING COMMUNITY, MISTERS 'KNOW IT ALL!' This is what most of the people are letting others know in the forums. So WHY come up with front page articles or give answers to angry collectors where all you talk about is how 'well thought out and fantastic' these auctions are?

"We are collectors, we are loud, we are passionate and we say what we need to say when is needed to be said if the shoe fits. In this case the shoe not only fits but it is also oversized 6 numbers! These auctions are nothing more than a ridiculous and well orchestrated game, where only a few have, are, and will get the goods. The rest of us can only sit down and watch! Why the auctions in the first place? How many collectors out there went crazy and cut out JMP from boxes only to realize now, they have a box with a hole, decreasing value of your collectible and a FLIKHIN USELESS CARDBOARD PIECE!

"The Flikhincubanos advice to those of you set between a rock and a hard place, those with just 2 or 3 thousand Jedi Master Points ... SELL THEM! ... TRADE FOR THEM! But, BY THE HALF DEAF SHARK IN LAKE TIKIKAKA, ... GET RID OF THEM! Big chances are you'll get more out of a trade or getting some 'moolah' for these insignificant cardboard squares, than waiting to see if by any remote chance you'll have a chance at one of these auctions. Of course (joke inserted here), there is the possibility of you bidding on a couple of lightsabers for that 3 3/4" Anakin that's looking so naked without them.

"As for our good-bye this time, after venting out all this steam ... well, we now relax, rest our 'ashes' on our recliners, open up our bottles of Lizard Rum, spark up the Mega Doobie Cuban Cigars and say:

STOP THE LIES! AND SPEAK THE TRUTH!   (Shakespearean)
STOPO LA LIESO Y HABLA LA TRUTHO!  (Flikhincubano)
ARRESTI LE BUGIE! E DICA ALLA VERIT!   (Italiano)
ARRTEZ LES MENSONGES ! ET DITES LA VRIT!   (French)

"Until next time ... (Oops! We think we stole this last line from someone) ... Oh, well!"
  www.theflikhincubanorollers.com

Is the Extensive Poll #8 ballot box being stuffed by the subversive and outspoken band of collectors known as the Fliikincubanos, or are they just saying what everyone else is thinking. Come on, say it, you know it, and it feels so good.

Sandtrooper Boba-Brett reports:
"Boba-Brett with an area report from Rocky River, Ohio. I could only make it to the brand new Wal-Mart Super Center where I found Emperor, WA-7, Padme Wedding, Dannl Faytoni, Baby Jedi, Yoda & Chian, Wat Tambor, Coleman Trebor, Aayla Secura, Barriss Offee and that's about it. AWESOME! Congratulations to my friends Bill & Cheryl on their marriage. That was the best wedding I've ever been to. You guys are awesome friends! MTFBWY!".

Force of the Bay - Scavenger hunt from Hell!
Hey Troops, disgusted with what to do with my Jedi Points I decided to invest my money in some vintage Kenner products at ebay. At one time I had this bad boy with in my grasp but I did not meet the reserve. The only reason I decided to show here was because the reserve is that low! If you just can't wait for the old back stock Hasbro Auctions get it for near shelf price at ebay. The seller sounds like my kind of guy. The other thing you just can't avoid is finding a true gem. The not so common made common. That particular seller had some amazing items up for the taking and I'd highly recommend a look. For new collectors it is a great way to clean up if you don't want to catch Anklegrabber Comics' high premiums. For some of us it is that one I missed. For Troopers like Jedi Master 'C' it is the one we all dream of! So regardless of what you are searching for, head for a place that knows how to get auctions done right. Sandtroopers.com does not endorse or authenticate any of the goods featured here. Please research the sellers you do business with. Good luck to you Troops Kick A$% and take names.

Sandtroopin Rai sweeps the MD toy scene:
"I did do a little toy shopping this weekend (even if no purchases were made) on the way up to NYC. Well, actually, I 'arranged' for a bathroom break at the TRU in Christiana, Delaware.

"There I was greeted by Dooku and Anakin Speeder / Swoop bikes (something I'm not used to seeing around here), Darth Sidious, Obi-Wan, and Jedi Luke Unleashed figures (another thing I didn't see much of here), and the now seemingly not-so-hard-to-find Bounty Hunter multipacks. Some other unsual stuff I noted was the 12-inch rotocast Aragorn LOTR figure as well as the 11-inch Golum / Smeagol. Also found were Predator Mez-Itz from Mezco. Not used to seeing those in a TRU.

"Once in NYC, the only toy shopping I did was at the Exoticar Model Company on Park Ave. No Star Wars or action figure related stuff there, obviously, but I was in automotive heaven. If you're ever there, it's worth a look-see. It's just a few blocks from Grand Central on the ground floor of the building located at 280 Park Ave facing 48th. Mmmmm... AutoArt. Actually I did visit a few toy shops, but none had any SW stuff (though my cousin in-law's hairdresser did offer to cut my hair for $20). Well, enough of that. Take care!"

Sandtrooper Corporal Punishment reports:
"What's up troops, I finally scored big at Target in Highland, Indiana on Friday, I got the A-wing fighter, there were 20 of them up on the very top shelf (19 now). It looked like they were just put out that day, all nice and neat. For figs I got the last Clone Wars Anakin, Yoda and ARC Trooper. Looks like things here are starting to hit the shelves, and I noticed that the pegs had another row added for more figs. There were 2 now there's 3. Thanks. Semper Fi."
