The big item in this weeks Sideshow Collectibles newsletter is a preview of the upcoming Boba Fett 1:6th figure. We've already seen a video preview of this figure during Comic-Con 2011, and this preview is sure to only amp up people wanting to add Boba to their collection. As a matter of fact Boba will be a PPO next Friday as Sideshow like myself expects this one to have a ton demand. So make sure you’re qualified for next weeks PPO so you don’t miss out. Star Wars fans also get two Pre-Orders from Medicom this week in the form of R5-D4 and 4-Lom figures both of which did look quite nice at Comic-Con 2011. Make sure you come let us know about your excitement on Boba Fett in our Boba Fett Thread.

Mos Eisley News Brief: Progress Report!
The Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society continues our fundraising effort launched in July, selling medallions featuring the likeness of Princess Leia to benefit Operation Troop Appreciation. The medallions cost $10 each + fees and shipping, and can be ordered through our web site.

In just nine weeks PSWCS has sold half of our run of 1000 medallions. We would like to extend our gratitude to the Star Wars fans who have made the fundraiser such a success so far, and to invite anyone who hasn't yet ordered to do so quickly before they're all gone.

Operation Troop Appreciation supports deployed military personnel by shipping them comfort items, equipment and other wish list items. Since July of 2004, OTA, a 100% volunteer organization, has granted wishes to over 100,000 troops. In the second quarter of 2011, they sent care packages to 71 separate units totaling 6,840 deployed troops serving in Afghanistan and Iraq. PSWCS is thrilled for the opportunity to help this organization on their mission.

The medallions are 1.75" in diameter with colored enamel on both faces and have been approved by Lucasfilm Ltd. They were produced in a one-time run of 1000 pieces. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity. Please visit the site for additional details, and thank you for supporting this worthy charity!
