I dropped a 7lb book on my foot yesterday, causing me to scream King Grayskull's name in vain. This wasn't no ordinary 7lb book, this was Gus & Duncan's Comprehensive Guide to Star Wars Collectibles. I emphasize comprehensive, because this almost 1,000-page book covers everything Star Wars. It boasts a collection 10x larger than Brian's Toys inventory. We even have the book autographed!

Just in time for Halloween, we have the Count Dooku and Obi-Wan Kenobi (The Phantom Menace) FX lightsaber. Finally! An obi-wan saber for guys like me who can't grow facial hair. Pre-order the Asajj FX too while you are at it. G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra Wave 5 and Star Wars EU Wave 6 are also available. For more of our great selection, click through to our complete newsletter.

Sandtrooper Young George Lucas Reports:
Goin Old School!"Hey folks. Young George Lucas reporting from the Kansas City area. Well, just as the cooler fall weather rolled into K.C. -- so did the much anticipated "Phantom Menace" wave of action figures (to area Wal-Marts, anyway). These are all really nice, the new packaging is okay but I wish they would go back to a more vintage look for the packaging. Wal-mart, it seems, is the place to be with the new exclusives coming: the new AT-ST looks cool and the new Dewback looks very nice too. Also, being a fan of the McQuarrie figures--I had to order this year's SDCC exclusive Boba Fett mini-bust. It was really well done and a must have for Ralph McQuarrie fans. Hope everyone has a quality day."

9-11 NEVER Forget!
The Staff at Sandtroopers.com would like to remind all of our readers to take a moment to think about all that changed back in 2001. It seems like just yesterday the most horrific attack on America took place. We would also like to thank the members of our armed forces today that are fighting for the dream to keep freedom alive in Iraq and Afghanistan. You are the true soldiers, thank you for reminding us every day that freedom isn't free. God bless all that were lost that day at the World Trade Center, Pentagon and those whose final resting place would be the tiny town of Shanksville, Pennsylvania. We will never forget...

Sandtrooper Young George Lucas Reports:
Goin Old School!"Hey, folks. Young George Lucas reporting from the Kansas City area. There are remnants of the recent "Attack of the Clones" wave around town (quite a few Berus on the pegs) -still no "Phantom Menace" wave yet--which by the way, looks really cool. Plus, there is a lot of really nice stuff still on the way-such as the Wal-Mart Dewback and that great new bunch of figures from "Jedi"--with two, count 'em, two Rancor Keepers! I'm strictly into the movie accurate stuff, but my 5 year-old son loves Clonetroopers, and is drooling over the Turbo Tank--perhaps Santa Claus will deliver that to our house this year. I haven't looked foward to new Hasbro STAR WARS stuff like this since they did all those great McQuarrie concept figures a few years ago. Have a quality day."

Sandtrooper Uncle George Reports: He's not Dead, Not Yet!
Now we just need Carlucci for a full fledged reunion!Hey Troopers! I've just recently gotten back into collecting! This time I'm not after everything bearing the Star Wars logo on it. I'm very interested in catching up with ships. I missed the Target Shuttle Tydirium. I was just recently moved from the island when it came out and my budget by then didn't allowed it. I'm hooked with Clone Wars series and looking forward to enjoying season 2 with my youngest son (11). I just opened the Target X-WING. Nice but IMHO the paint scheme doesn't look too 'weatherized'. I just dropped a couple of photos in the forums of the latest work. I think I will make an appointment with my airbrush same way I did back in 2000 with the F/X X-WING. United We Find!

Welcome back George! It's always nice to see one of the original founders of Sandtroopers.com return to the trenches. We are happy to see you back!

Sandtrooper Sraw Rats reports: The Fruits of Good Labor!
North or South - let's take Illinois!Hey Troopers! I found the Wal-Mart Droid Factory Series 2 on clearance yesterday in Effingham, IL on my way home from Kansas for Labor Day weekend. They had Anakin/Cortosis Battle Droid and Maul/I-5YQ for $13 each. They also had the A-Wing on clearance for $24 and some Mighty Muggs (including Luke and Obi-wan) for a price I can't remember. Also found the new CW figures: 4A-7 series and Cad Bane series. They had some new card legends too. I came across the new comic packs at a Target in Salina, KS this weekend as well. I didn't realize they were changing the packaging (specifically the bubble)! I can't remember which ones they were though. Happy hunting guys! United We Find!

Mos Eisley News Brief: Mark Hamill steals the Show
Or you might just say he has mad game! It was just a couple of months ago that I finally got to meet the great Mark Hamill that we all know and love as Luke Skywalker. However he wasn't just in San Diego to sign autographs at Comic-Con, actually his primary reason for making the trip was to promote Batman: Arkham Asylum. The video game just recently hit the streets to rave reviews, see what the article in the New York Times had to say about his performance. For more check out the

Area Report: BMF & ATTE Clearance Sale at TRU
Thanks again to Jayson and the Yak Attack! Our friends at Yakface.com alerted me to a Labor Day clearance sale at Toys R Us today and tomorrow. Two items of interest would have to be the AT-TE at $49.99 and the Millennium Falcon from the Legacy Collection. It was really hard to keep up with one of everything last summer, and this was one thing I really regretted passing up. After a search of the northern Illinois area, I finally found one at the store on Deerfield Road in Highland Park, but sadly the others were beat up pretty bad. I also picked up a Commander Ponds, which seemed to be on hand at every location I hit while looking for the BMF. It felt great to finally fill that big hole in my collection, as I had a real difficult time swallowing a $150 price tag but it was a great score at $79.99. It did feel to get back out there on the hunt and seeing what else was out there, which wasn't too much I might add! United We Find Troopers.

Sandtrooper dustrho Reporting In:
S.C.A.L.P. Weapons SupplierIt's been a good last two days in regards to finding new Star Wars items. Last night my wife and son came home with Hallmark's newest Star Wars Christmas ornaments: A Deadly Duel, Luke's Landspeeder and Han Solo in Stormtrooper Disguise. I haven't taken them out of their packages yet, but these will definitely look good on the Christmas tree in my bunker. Headed over to Wal-Mart this morning in Oswego, IL, to find a good amount of new Clone Wars action figures: Clone Trooper Echo, Whorm Loathsom (what a terrible and un-original name!), 4A-7 and a Commando Droid. It feels good finding new things to add to the collection, and until next time troopers United We Find!
