The clone troopers in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith were the heart and soul of the rising Empire, and more importantly were the ones who helped get rid of almost all the Jedi in the galaxy. Tonight we're proud to share with you three new images of clone trooper busts by Gentle Giant, which include a 501st Special Ops trooper, Utapau trooper, and standard trooper in white armor. Check out the images and the rest of the busts here. |

The new Star Wars DVDs from the Original Trilogy (Episodes IV, V and VI) came out just over a week ago, and there have already been lots of mixed reviews about them. Some have been happy that they finally have the originals in their collection, while others have had their fair share of complaints regarding them. One writer from the Mercury News in San Jose, California, has expressed his opinion and theories about why these DVDs were released (again), and I have to say I'm in the same boat as him. I've already spent a lot of money on previous Star Wars films (VHS and DVD versions), and because of that I'm not planning on getting these. Nonetheless, you'll have to check out the story this guy wrote, because it's definitely worth the read. Make sure you share your thoughts about these DVDs over in our forums. |

It’s hard to believe that it has been five years since the tragedy at the World Trade Center. While the world is forever a changed place, together we all can do our part to win the war on terror. For some it’s the ultimate honor of defending this great country, God bless every single man and woman in uniform and bring them home safely. We’d like to also express our sorrows for those who have sacrificed their own lives so we can live ours. The news will bring painful reminders and we will all feel the emotions of horror, fear, sorrow and anger all over again. We can only hope with all of the problems in this imperfect world, some day we can all live together in peace. We’d again like to express our regrets and sorrows for all who lost their lives in this tragedy. Take the time for a moment of silence and pay proper respect. |

“Just a quick heads up. The 501st Trooper is back in stock at Hasbro Toy Shop. It will not last long. They also had the Gold Vader TIE Fighter, which has been there for a while. Well, what are you waiting for? It’s about time they made these things available!” |
Since I have some much needed time off while I'm in between jobs, I thought I'd hop on my Dewback and hit up a couple of stores that are fairly close to me. I chose to stop at the Target and Wal-Mart that are on Route 59 in Plainfield. Of course that Wal-Mart didn't have squat that I was searching for. Their Star Wars section is non-existent now, as they have crammed all the remaining Star Wars products into this small area in the toy section. The stuff isn't even located in the action figure aisle anymore. Plus, they don't have anything discounted and VTSC figures are still $9.96, whereas most other stores have them for something like five dollars. I then went over to Target and scored a few things. I was able to pick up two addition shocktrooper figures to add to my growing army, and also snagged two Titanium vehicles that I've been trying to get a hold of... the TIE Interceptor and B-Wing fighter. Even though I didn't grab too much, it was still a worthy hunt. |

If you live in or close by St. Paul, Minnesota, you won't want to miss this! The Friends of the St. Paul Public Library are sponsoring a free screening of "Star Wars" on September 8th in the Kellogg Boulevard Courtyard of the downtown Central Library. The movie is expected to start about 8 p.m. In case of rain, the screening will be canceled. For more information, click here! |
