Sandtroopers Forums Update: Get Real, and have Fun!

To celebrate the return of the Clone Wars TV show Season 2 on October 2nd, we're going to have a customizing contest! The rules are simple... take a character that has appeared in Season 1 (or the previews for Season 2) and create them in action figure form. But wait - there's a twist! You must create the character in realistic style, rather than animated form. Oh yeah, also... Clonetroopers don't count. For more visit the forums for the

Impressive New Footage of "Star Wars: The Old Republic"
The developers at LucasArts have released twenty minutes worth of video footage from their upcoming PC game, Star Wars: The Old Republic. It's funny how they throw out a disclaimer at the beginning of it saying that it's "work in progress" quality, but seriously how much better can it possibly get? It's simply one of the most gorgeous looking games LucasArts has ever worked on, and it's a shame this won't be available on the Xbox 360 platform. You can watch the video below which contains four 5-minute clips, or watch it in a higher resolution by visiting IGN's web site. Be sure to provide your thoughts about it over in the forum.

Hasbro Q & A Session: Back on the Path!
Latest Q&A from HasbroWe are happy to report we've received our latest round of questions from the high command of Hasbro for August. What's on the bubble that Hasbro would love to do, but haven't received the go ahead? In the last Q&A, they said that if the sales on the CW Y-Wing were good this might open up things for a new line of "midsize" vehicles. Would that then include a new OT-era Y-Wing by any chance? Do you think they will ever get to a point where Hasbro will stop re-making and "improving" the same characters that have been done over and over before? We encourage you to log-in to the forums and check out what they had to say. We also have a set for this round for theJawa.com so make sure to check our our glowing-eyed friends too. Do you have a question for the Hasbro Q & A Team? Log-in and leave your question in the forums.

Mr. Sansweet has just informed us Star Wars in Concert will be updating with touring information, including Chicago, IL in the very near future. We were also treated to the same video games they showcased a few weeks ago, but it was great to see the Republic Heroes and Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith edition trailers again. As far as Star Wars Celebration V, they did reveal the logo featuring Boba Fett, but no location or date yet Troops.

Dewback Patrol: More Photos from Chicago Comic-Con
Dave Dorman and Chris SpiceAn additional 18 photos have been added to our Day 1 coverage of the Chicago Comic-Con. It was great running into our good friend, Dave Dorman, who was nice enough to stop and take a snapshot with Chris Spice in his sandtrooper armor. Best of all, we captured one of the coolest costumes to hit the convention floor, and that would be of Cobra Commander! He was probably able to walk 10 feet in 15 minutes, and that's because so many people wanted to have their pictures taken with him. Check out the second photo gallery here, and there will be much more to come from this event. Don't forget to share your thoughts about the event over in the forums.

Sandtrooper Starfox Reports: TRU Exclusives Spotted!
Real Men wear Pink!"Hello fellow troopers from central Texas. I hope everyone is recovering from SDCC and all the new goodness that is coming our way soon. I jut wanted to give a quick store report on some new things found at the TRU in Killeen. They had the new Shadow Arc-170 on the shelf along with the TRU Exclusive Commander Ponds action figure. The Arc rang in at $79.99 and Commander Ponds was $9.99. They also had the new Star Wars Science toys, to include the new Jedi Remote Force Training set and I got a steal of a deal on this. As far as the rest of the local stores, I have seen the Legends figures in the new red card packaging, but none of the regular figures at all. A few of the ships have been spotted in the new 3d packaging as well. That's all from central Texas for now, starfox signing out."

Sandtrooper dustrho Reporting In:
S.C.A.L.P. Weapons SupplierOne word sums up my morning... JACKPOT! The Walmart in Oswego was very good to me, as it had just about all the new Clone Wars figures in stock. I picked up Kit Fisto, Mace Windu, Rocket Battle Droid, 41st Elite Corp Clone Trooper, Clone Trooper with Space Gear, ARF Trooper and General Grievous, but unfortunately I couldn't find the Jawas and Admiral Yularen. They also had four of the five the new Walmart exclusive two-packs, and I was lucky enough to pick up Anakin Skywalker/Cortosis Battle Droid, Boba Fett/BL-17, Darth Maul/I-5YQ and Corran Horn/R2 Whistler. It was a great day for me, and hopefully a great day for all the other troopers out there. United We Find!
