What about a Sandtrooper with a rifle similar to the evolutions version? Or how about will we see some Star Wars figures using the new 25th Anniversary G I Joe style bodies/articulation? After Samuel L. Jackson chased down George Lucas repeatedly asking for a role in the Prequel Trilogies, he's now doing the same thing again while wanting to appear in the new Indiana Jones film. It seems he is desperate for a cameo role in the movie - so he can stay ahead of Harrison Ford as the world’s box office king. Read more about this here. |
Michael Bay, Director of the current hit movie Transformers says he was inspired by George Lucas into starting his career off in directing when he worked for the creator of Star Wars as a young intern many years ago on the Indiana Jones film Raiders of the Lost Ark. Read more about this here. |

Some news for you. I don't know if you're aware that I was at a convention in Poland recently - the first Polish convention ever to have Star Wars actor guests. It was a stunning success, and ended with a visit to the first street in the world to be named after a Star Wars character - Obi-Wan Kenobi Street! Photos from the visit have appeared all around the world, but not many U.S. sites have posted pix yet, so I thought you might be interested. In fact, your affiliate The Private Universe did a report (with photos) this week. There are also 2 pages of photos on my website - posted by another of your affiliates, my webmaster Matt Glasgow in New Zealand! To see them, click onto the last 2 thumbnails in the gallery. Thanks again and great to see all you Troopers a couple months back at CIV! United We Find! |

I thank you once again for all your contributions and endless support that you've given us for nearly our entire existence. If you'd like to pass along a kind word, drop a reply in this thread in our forums. Godspeed to a fast recovery and we look forward to seeing Federation Toys up and running again. United We Find! |

We have received our latest round of questions direct from Hasbro's high command. Do they bother to track the secondary market? How about some consistency in case assortments? More important, what about that Gunship Pilot to match the Clone Wars series that is on the way? Take cover and head for the forums and take a look at what they had to say. The Ralph McQuarrie guide has been udpated tonight by Boba Binks, with new images of the San Diego Comic Con 2007 exclusive Obi-Wan and Yoda two-pack. It's hard to imagine either of the two conceptual characters in the films, as the final versions are perfect just the way they are. Yoda really wasn't all the different between the two, but the Obi-Wan characters are totally different from one another. I'm glad George Lucas chose to go with Sir Alec Guinness' image for the role of Obi-Wan, and I'm sure all the troopers here couldn't agree with me more. |
For some reason we only see larger vehicles rarely, it was a breath of fresh air to see Toys R Us revive an Imperial favorite with the Endor AT-AT. While this beast packed an exclusive Biker Scout with a flip-up visor do you Troopers think it warranted such a heavy price tag? For more check out the photos and summary supplied by Boba Binks! |
You asked to have your voice heard and this is your final chance troopers. We've had some great feedback so far but we'd like to hear from all of you new recruits too! Time is running out, there are only 2 days left to get your top 10 figure requests sent in. So head into the forums and give us your list, make yourself heard and then we will tabulate the Sandtroopers.com Top 10 list and forward it to Hasbro. Big thanks to all you Troopers who have already responded and as always United We Find! |
Boba Fett was the number one bounty hunter in the entire galaxy. He had the coolest looking armor, the most vicious weaponry, and one of the most intimidating voices of all the Star Wars characters. He also had the coolest ship, the Slave I. Loaded to the brim with all sorts of weapons and gadgets, this ship was re-tooled into a Target Exclusive during the Original Trilogy Collection days. The packaging looked great as you had a clear view of the beautifully painted ship, and getting another Boba Fett figure was also a nice touch (even though he doesn't come with the rocket pack). If you missed out on it, off to the Bay you go. Check out Boba Fett's sweet ride here, and make sure you share your comments about it the forums. |

Yesterday marked the 10th annual Great Cardboard Boat Race held in Lunenburg Massachusetts on Whalom Lake. This family event gets the creative minds flowing on how to build a boat, race it, and try not to take on water. The Lutter family of Lunenburg got the biggest reaction of all with their boat replica of an Imperial Star Destroyer. The boat took 60 hours to complete and 25 sheets of cardboard and also had a built in stereo system that played the Star Wars theme music while on the water. Check out the story to see if the Imperial Star Destroyer made it the finish line. |
