Dewback Patrol: S.C.A.L.P. Trooper Jetfire's Recon Mission at the Toronto SFX Convention
Hey Troopers, Sandtrooper Jetfire (a.k.a. Wedgewannabe) took time to scope out the Toronto SFX Convention this past weekend. This is the largest show in Canada and hot off his Wizard World trip, he just couldn't wait to hit another convention. Rob was gracious enough to supply us with an in-depth look for those of us who couldn?t make the trek north of the border. While it was not quite what he had hoped for, the details of his mission were pretty interesting to say the least. He even had a little time to sit down with everyone?s favorite furball! Ho Canada! United We Find, no walls, no borders can stop us!!!

Sandtroopette Lisette Reports:
S.C.A.L.P. Counter Intelligence“Hi Troopers: Lisette from NYC reporting. The new Target in Brooklyn had several OTC figures still hanging from the pegs: I saw Yoda, Spirit Obi-Wan, Jedi Luke, Pilot Luke, C-3P0 and a few VOTC Han Solo. There were also plenty of Leia and Anakin glasses. If any trooper can help me out with the K-Mart exclusive Cantina scene, I would greatly appreciate it. With the Republican convention at Madison Square Garden, I can't get near the K-Mart around the corner from MSG. Without a pass I'm told it's impossible to even pass through the area. The good news is that a lot of people must have decided to take off this week because the trains are not that bad. So if anyone can help me out that would be cool. That's all for now.”

Sandtrooper Jedi-Hawk Reports:
Texas S.C.A.L.P. Border Patrol“Well troops just a small heads up here from TX. OTC stuff is slowly trickling in to the area. The Super Wal-Mart has put up the OTC aisle display unit and most of those figures have sold already. The other Wal-Mart just puts out a case of OTC about once a week. TRU is a goldmine for ships and everything else but no figures. Well they have plenty of the Jedi Council scenes 3 & 4. (1 & 2) and then Target seems to be a little slow. But I did manage to pick up the newest Unleashed Wave this weekend with Bossk, Aayla and Tusken Raider at Target. Also just this morning at my local Wal-Mart, I did manage to pick up some figures from OTC Assortment #9 with the Biker Scout in it. It was 2 Biker Scouts per case. Also of note, my TRU put out the new Battle of Endor 4-Pack Exclusive. Trenchcoat Han, Biker Scout /w Speeder Bike, Wicket and Logray. All repacks, of course, but much better than the lame Jedi set. Also the OTC style package looks nice. I passed for now, but there was about 8 of them on the shelf. Oh also I picked up an extra handstand Luke if anyone is looking. Drop me an email and maybe we can work out a trade. A big thanks to the fellow trooper who hooked me up with the K-Mart Cantina Scene. Hunt'em down troops.”

Sandtrooper ACPin Reports: Lord Vader has Arrived
Vader Arrives at Executor“Darth Vader arrives on the Super Star Destroyer Executor, greeted by Admiral Ozzel along with Captain Piett in one of the docking bays with an impressive display of Imperial troops. Lord Vader didn't care much for the pageantry as much as finding out the new location of the rebel base after the debacle at Yavin IV.”

Sandtrooper Jon Reports:
Northwest Ohio/Southeast Michigan:
Each of the three K-Marts I visited this week had the Mos Eisley Cantina scene. One Wal-Mart had the new large cardboard pallet display packed with display cases and figures (multiple handstand Luke). Two Targets in the area had the Unleashed Bossk and Tusken Raider. One Meijer had multiple OTC Tusken Raiders, Jawas, Snowtroopers, and Tie Fighter pilots. Another Meijer had four VOTC Luke (along with Ben, Han, and Leia). What I found was that the same type of store located just ten to fifteen miles away had totally different inventory out. One would have only scattered old SAGA peg warmers and then another had more new Star Wars figures than I can remember seeing since Episode II came out.”

The figure cases are on an end cap and the figs are in three separate places, the regular aisle, a bunch are above these figures, and then they are two aisles over at the end of the aisle. Target in Delafield had one Aayla Secura Unleashed.”

More Star Wars Movies to Come!?
Just when you thought Revenge of the Sith was supposed to be the last Star Wars movie ever made, something big was recently written up by E! Online that would say just the opposite. I received a phone call from my wife this morning, saying that she had read online that three additional Star Wars movies might be produced after ROTS has been filmed. If three more Star Wars movies are made, they would take place after Return of the Jedi, making them episodes 7, 8 and 9. Could this really happen?

What are your thoughts about this? Be sure to speak your mind in our forums.

Sandwatch Figure Reviews: A Triple Sandwatch with a side of Old Cheese
Hey Troops, Sandwatch Action Figure Reviews has been updated with figures #12 - #15 from the OTC collection. While I have a hard time saying good things about OTC collection, perhaps you will relate to what I have to say, and post comments of your own. I even adopted some of the same tactics Hasbro uses with the review of Boba Fett. By giving the same thing we gave you years ago, maybe it's better than 'this sucks' a million times over. It is good to have General J outta retirement for one review, even though he doesn't realize it yet! Feel free to offer your own feedback about the OTC collection. Until then enter if you dare!

HOW Deep is Your Love: Another Happy Ending...
Hey Troops, back in April a Trooper from the Midwest wrote in asking if I knew how to get into contact with anyone who could dress up as Stormtroopers at his wedding. I sent Kevin to the Midwest Garrison and TK1216 served as a great contact man for the mission. We'd like to thank Kevin and Marissa Neander for sharing these special photos with our readers. Amazing to see how much Star Wars will influence people! Check out the ceremony here. Thanks again to the Midwest Garrison Members and the newlyweds for the photos. Sandtrooper Jetfire Reports:
DEEP Recon in the Great Lakes State!“Well Troops, the Dewback is back in the garage after another round of store checks! Don't bother with the Mejiers in Holland or in Grandville as they are pretty well cleaned out! Only a few Saga Hoth Rebel Troopers to keep the OTC X-wing and TIE fighter company. The TRU doesn?t have any new figs, just the Ask Yoda, Jedi Council scenes, Millennium Falcon, TIE fighter, X-wing, and Darth Vader TIE. The Holland Target has the new 12-inch (Luke and stormtrooper) as well as the Falcon and a buttload of VOTC (Han, Ben and Leia). I might run back just to grab an extra Leia or two as these have seemed to disappear from everywhere else in the area. The big surprise came from the local KayBee. A big salute to a guy named John working there who hooked me up. No new figs came in on the latest truck, but it did have all old Saga figs..... including Ephant Mon. Did I mention that all these figs were for $2.99 each! So thanks again to John for hooking me up. Besides that, they did have some OTC lying around (ANH Ben, Cloud Car pilot, Bespin Leia, etc.) but I had to pass at $7 each. That's about it from the Great Lakes State! Keep me in mind if you see any FF AT-AT drivers, a POTJ TIE Interceptor, or a POTF2 Y-wing! Sandtrooper Jetfire out.”

Sandtrooper Juan Reports: LIVE from NW Jersey
“Just to let you guys know that Wal-Mart is holding most of there Star Wars inventory on hold for the Fall/Winter. I spoke to a representative of the toy department and informed me that they are still trying to figure out how the Star Wars display area will be set up. Target has been getting in much inventory in the same manner but soon to be displayed out in a week or two (Back to School Week). TRU has been delivering the goods in mass quantities - guess they are not waiting for the fall. I must not though that every store I have gone to in my area has had Star Wars cards all folded on the top right corner - I really don't know who is doing this but, if you get caught watch out - You will be reported to the store manager for damaging store merchandise. Nothing more to report from North West Jersey.”

Monster-Making Is Dave's Game
Monster-Making Is Dave's GameOne thing that separates Star Wars from the rest of its competition is how cool aliens and monsters look. They sometimes look almost TOO real. The man who is responsible for making it happen is Dave Elsey. Dave is the Creature Shop Creative Supervisor for Lucasfilm, and he's the man in charge for the creation of anything monster-related (horns, appendages, eye contacts, etc). So what's his biggest assignment for the upcoming Revenge of the Sith? You should be able to guess it, but if not it's Darth Vader. Read the exciting article here.

And the Winners ARE:
It has been one wild month around here. We'd like to thank The Jawa.com, the Bothan Spy and The Private Universe for their help in getting the word out about the Sandblast. It is a shame the other 'fan sites' that got the release about the Sandblast were too afraid and refused to let THE FANS know about what was going on. Their loss is our gain. We realize no one has ever come close to a giveaway of this magnitude, and understand the 'other guys' would rather line their own pockets, than to give back to what makes them so great. We have selected 14 winners at random although everyone who is involved around here deserves a prize. Here are the 2004 Sandblast Winners:

The Ghost of QG - Brians Toys

Master Fett - Federation Toys

Songwtr - Cloud City

TK895 - Toyfellas

Y-Wing Yager - R2Dtoys

Habs98 - DG Promotions (Autographed Carrie Fisher)

Devils Ewok - K&C Collectibles
Kaantur_Set - DG Promtions (Autographed Malcom Dixon Photo)

Rogue Jedi TJ - Action-HQ

OnebigK - Wholesalecases.com

Jor Supersid - Collectors Gallery Online

Stormtripper - Big Bad Toy Store

Plo Koon 200 - Anime Daves World

TD257 - Yestertoys

Thanks to all that entered, we appreciate each and everyone of you, however at this time are only able to reward 14! For the winners, please email Darth Spice for confirmation and info to claim your prize. United We Find, until the next party Troops!!!

Sandtrooper Jedi Master-C Reports:
Are they still making these?“One of our Wal-Mart stores here in Huntsville Alabama have set up the OTC display stand. This thing is huge and looks great. I love the old school look to it. Also, this will shock you but I took the VOTC Luke off the card. After I received mine in the mail from Jason I found another at TRU.The case it comes in does not fit the figure bubbles that where used for the 12,20/21 backs and the ESB figures. They only work well with the POTF and the ROTJ figures. Another thing to not is that the case is not very deep so you can't stick a figure like Amanaman in the case. Just to give you a heads up. Take care.”

GenCon Indy 2004 Coverage!
The mission was a fairly simple one... to go out to the GenCon Indy convention, take pictures, and report back to Sandtroopers.com headquarters with as much information that could be acquired. Because this mission wasn't anywhere near as complex as last week's Wizard World Chicago event, only one Sandtrooper was needed to scout the GenCon event. Sandtrooper Boba Binks volunteered his services for the Imperial cause, and came back with some stunning undercover photos. Read his report of the event here.

They also have a bunch of VOTC Han Solo, Leia & Obi-Wan. The Killeen Wal-Mart has the same VOTC figures and the Luke Pilot Unleashed wave. Target seems to have stalled after having the OTC Jawa wave earlier in the week. Sandtrooper SoCal Dom Reports:
One of SoCal's Finest!“Been awhile since I last reported in. Not much out here in So Cal that everyone else is finding though. I have seen stuff such as the 12-inch Luke, Stormtrooper, and Boba Fett. I have seen VOTC Luke, Leia, Han & Obi-wan, as well as the Falcon, Tie Fighter, X-wing, the new glasses at Target, talking Yoda, Playskool 2-packs, and most of the 1st 15 OTC figs. Other than that, not much else. I have extras of C-9+ Bespin Leia, Cloud Car Pilot, and Lobot if anyone is interested. I was looking to trade if possible. I need all figures beyond #20, except for #22 Greedo. If anyone has any of those and would like to trade straight up, let me know. If I get no other offers, I will sell at cost plus shipping. Hope I can help as much as someone else can help me.”

Force of the Bay: Momma said Knock You Out!
Perhaps one of the greatest things about ebay is the variety of things you can add to your collection with the touch of a button. While many have been in frenzy over the Luke Stormtroper, many are missing the boat on the Chewie Bust. Now if you didn?t have one of these attached to your waist I don?t think you could consider yourself a Star Wars collector. One of those and a John Deere hat and perhaps the White Trash award would be taken to new heights. Maybe if you could get your significant other into this number. It really freaks me out the things people actually thought to keep in boxes. Code who? I remember MPC very well and they had some really great models! There are so many excellent pieces that you know are rare, but you could even find something more endangered to reach out and tell somebody about your score. There may be flaws such as labels applied, but if you search long enough you will find exactly what you want. The specifications do not matter, just be patient. While some may think the VOTC Princess is a rough find, don?t forget what is truly worth money and rare. I?ll give you a hint it wasn?t made this year! Just remember there are things you could scope out that you will feel are not worth the money, but to another collector who?d pay triple! I just can?t see paying that much for ONE single loose figure. Remember, Sandtroopers.com neither endorses nor authenticates any of the items featured here. Good luck to you Troops in your searches. Kick A#$ and take names!

Sandtrooper Jetfire Reports: It's a S.C.A.L.P. thing, you wouldn't understand
Will you just get your ass here already?“Had a run of luck yesterday when I hit the Grand Rapids TRU. Found the VOTC Vader and Yoda as well as a few of the VOTC Luke. I grabbed two Vader and passed on the rest for anyone looking. Left the VOTC Luke (both 12-inch and regular) hanging out on the shelves too. They still had a ton of the Vader TIE, Regular TIE, and X-wings. Also in stock were all the three-packs as well as the plush buddies (R2, 3PO, Wicket, Yoda, and Chewie). No regular OTC figs at all. The Red Leader X-wing and Skirmish at Carkoon pack were still on the shelves from when Ryanthehutt and I last visited. Not many Saga figs left, but still a plethora of POTJ if anyone's looking for an Ellors Madak or Shmi Skywalker. Not much else to report from there. Besides that, Wal-Mart?s continue to drop the ball on SW toys. And to think they're the reason why TRU might divide up! I'll be looking for any Chewie figs MOC to trade ASAP, as he'll be at the Canadian SFX show next weekend in Toronto. Look for an exclusive write-up here at Sandtroopers.com. Would love to find something unique, but also looking for the Dejarik Champion fig from POTJ or the Mynock Hunt 3-pack from POTF2. Sandtrooper Jetfire (aka WedgeWannaBe) out!”

Sandtrooper Deadman Inc. Reports:
“For the past week, Princess Leia has been missing from the VOTC shipments to Target and Toys R Us. When Yoda showed up, Princess Leia disappeared. During the next two weeks, the following will be at local stores: VOTC Lando, VOTC C3PO. When I visited some of the local online stores, in search of VOTCs, I have read several times the following: When a new figure comes to shelves, an earlier figure will be pulled from the wave. Princess Leia could be the first to have been pulled... If you have seen her in this past week, please let me know... Note: Local Toys R Us stores are selling other VOTCs by the hundreds... No lie. I saw approximately 15-20 Luke on a shelf, and the same equivalent for each of the others, except no Princess Leia... I saw eight Yoda and bought four. At the moment most VOTCs are not rare, and I have seen them after two or three days still on the selves... Let me know if you have a problem, I will see what I can do.”

DCSWCC: 1 Year Old and Growing
“On August 19th, 2003, the DC Star Wars Collecting Club was founded. Within 1 week membership was at 30 people, at 6 months membership was at 85, and now, 1 year later ~ 114 members and growing.

Members hail from Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia; they are fans of every aspect of the Star Wars Universe. Meetings are held monthly and alternate between Virginia and Maryland. At each meeting, several members give presentations on their specific collector's focus or topic discussion, and all members have the opportunity to participate. This gives members the opportunity to learn about what others collect and might even spark a new collection area for some.

The DCSWCC is also involved in the community. Last fall they held a canned food drive to benefit the National Capitol Area Food bank, serving the DC metro Area. At the Summer Social this past July members brought more donations for the National Capitol Area Food Bank, and they donated toys, which will be presented to Children?s Hospital this fall. The DCSWCC will join the Toys R Us store in Woodbridge, VA to host the ultimate Star Wars Original Trilogy DVD release event on September 21, 2004. Club members will be on hand as the store opens up one hour early for those Star Wars fans who stop by to purchase the DVD. There will be another canned food and toy drive at this event.”

The Pride of Boise, Idaho!“Hey troops! Wal-Mart in Boise, ID had the huge cube shaped isle display today crammed full of booty. Carrying cases, Galactic Heroes playschool sets, and lots of figs, including Handstand Luke, R2 Dagobah, Tusken Raider, Jawas, TIE Fighter pilots, New Hope R2, C-3P0, Bossk, Ig-88, Yoda Dagobah, Spirit Obi-Wan, etc. No Biker Scouts, Vader or Stormtrooper though. These new cube displays have cubbyholes for the figures that are slightly too small so the cards get damaged if the employees don?t take care in stocking them. That?s too bad. Anyway- good luck on the hunt!”

Sandtrooper Bill Reports: PSWCS Celebrates 4-year Anniversary
“Today, just 273 days from Episode 3, marks the 4th anniversary of the first meeting of the Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society (PSWCS.com). What started as 10 people who met at a public library near Harrisburg has grown to nearly 200 collectors from all corners of Pennsylvania who E-mail each other daily to discuss the collecting hobby. Online conversations range from reports of what has (or more commonly what has NOT) arrived at local stores, to opinions on the latest toy line to just about anything Star Wars.

Nearly monthly meetings in both the east and west halves of the keystone state allow members to interact in person and show off their latest acquisition or a cherished piece of their collection, while also sharing the story behind how it was obtained (a lucky find, an eBay deal, or on the clearance racks!).

Meetings also feature games of both skill and chance, such as Star Wars trivia or the ever-popular Ewok Toss, with winners being rewarded with member donated prizes. And then there is the trading...where members help each other acquire hard to find old, new or just missed collectibles. Bringing the product distribution cycle into balance.

Finally, a Summer Social caps each year, an expanded meeting that provides the chance for members and their families from across the entire state to gather and share in the Star Wars experience. If you live in Pennsylvania and this sound like your kind of crowd, then visit to PSWCS.com, sign up, and join us as we enter our fifth exciting year!”

Sandtrooper Dom in the Deep Woods of Wisconsin Reports:
Anyone have a 12-inch Plo Koon?“Troops, got a story I wanted to share with you. Friday, I went to the local TRU in East Central Wisconsin for the bazillionth time in the last few months looking once again for the ever-elusive Unleashed Leia. I got into a conversation with a green shirt (TRU employee) and he started telling me about some other collectors who have been coming in looking for the U. Leia. He told me about one guy with a friend who bought him two more than he wanted and the guy wanted to sell the two extra. I asked the green shirt if he would give the guy my name and number the next time he came in, figuring I'd never hear from him and never have my own metal-bikini-wearing, spear-carrying princess. Well, I figured wrong. The guy called tonight and ended up hand delivering two, count 'em two, Unleashed Leias. It was in the middle of the Packer game (can't have everything, I guess). So, I have and Unleashed Leia at about a C-6/7 for trade. What am I offered, troops? GO PACKERS! And kudos to a decent green shirt.

Sandtrooper Jason D. Meyers Reports: Working for the Weekend
“Hello Troopers! I was extremely happy to meet some of my former staff members and many of the readers for the first time this weekend at Wizard World Chicago. I want to say 'thank-you' to everyone who came out to make the event that much better! Although I see Darth Spice on a daily basis, and it's always awesome to get to see dustrho, this was my first chance to meet Amanaman Dan, reconsgt (Wayne), my former master Emperor Crypt, Trooper Dennis, and long-time trading buddy Trooper Jetfire in person! Chatting with the entrepreneurial individuals who head up many of our online sponsor stores, the crew of the 501st Garrison, Eric Walker, Steve Sansweet, Rena Owen, or those random fans just looking for a shoulder to cry on regarding toys' availability and release dates all made the event very fun and personal. I felt a little foolish having to pay the local towing company $50 otherwise spent on toys to crack open my 2004 Corvette after locking my keys inside upon arriving at the Convention, but other than that everything was truly a pleasure! Although I got to meet Snake eyes, I did miss out on the 10-foot Optimus walking around the show! I was also able to pick up all of the deals and steals that some of you wrote in requesting me to pick up for you - just watch your e-mail for a memo from me. I even met more 'dumb luck' when Mattel had an 'everyone's a Winner' event, offering all guests the opportunity to pick up a Batman or She-Ra Convention exclusive. Like Donna, I also wanted to pass on that. Zion, IL Kmart had gotten in the Cantina set last night and I picked up all three (Darth Spice and Dennis - I have a set each for you). Also, Friday the 13th saw Countryside, IL Wal-Mart receiving seven cases of OTC. Until next time Troops, United We Find!”

S.N.A.G. Trooper Eric Reports: Marmit Fett is ALL that!
“S.N.A.G. trooper Eric here. I just wanted any Boba Fett fans out there to know, if you haven't gotten one yet, the Koto Fett statue is STUNNING! I got mine last week from Hobby Link Japan and I was SO excited to see it all put together! Which took about 5 minutes as opposed to the hour it took to put the Marmit Fett together. This was worth every penny. Who cares if nothing moves on it, it is the new reigning champ of my Fett figure collection. If only Hasbro could do as good a job. Oh well. I guess a collection wouldn't be a good collection if all the figures were movie accurate. Variety is the spice of life!”

Sandtrooper Shahbaz Reports:
“Target or Walmart are empty. I can't find anything these days in So Cal unless I head to K-Mart. Sure enough, I picked up the OTC Mos Eisley Cantina set, Scene 1. The set features Dr. Evazan, Wuher and Kitik Keed'kak. I don't know if anyone else has seen these yet, but they are pretty neat, twice the size of the Jedi Council Scenes. I don't collect multi-packs, but I picked it up only because I knew to some trooper it would be a prize! So if you are interested in trading please let me know. I also have comic-con Silver Sandtroopers and Clonetroopers for trade. Happy Hunting!”

Wizard World Chicago: Day II Coverage and Photo Gallery
Hey Troops, Another day at Wizard World where names were taken and other things were kicked. It turned out to be an all around great time. If you contemplated going and did not because of lack of new product displays from Hasbro, you may be disappointed you didn?t make the trip out to the Windy City. A record crowd, an awesome presentation courtesy of Lucasfilm as well as plenty of a@# kickin? firepower from the Midwest Garrision made Saturday at Wizard World Chicago a spectacular day for any Star Wars collector!

Sandtroopette Lisette From the Heart of NYC Reports:
S.C.A.L.P. Counter Intelligence“Hi Troopers: Lisette from NYC reporting. Yesterday I found VOTC Darth Vader and Yoda at the new Target in Brooklyn. I also saw a few VOTC Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. This Target also had the Millennium Falcon and X-Wing. The TRU in Times Square and Union Square have the new Jedi council scenes. That's all for now.”

Sandtrooper Dom in the Deep Woods of Wisconsin Reports:
Anyone have a 12-inch Plo Koon?“Spotted many new "vintage" items at the local TRU such as Obi-Wan, talking Yoda, and all the ships. Besides tons of peg warmers that I suspect will go on clearance soon, they also had 2 red-striped Unleashed Clone Troopers. If you need one, let me know and I'll see if they're still there. Still no sign of Unleashed Leia. Anybody got a 12-inch Plo Koon? And did anyone else hear about TRU going to selling clothes only? This would be in alignment with them trying to push the "Geoffrey's" name and not the Toys-R-Us name. Just wondering. Jedi (no hurricane here) Dom!”

Sandtrooper SoCal Dood Reports:
Be good to each other.“Greetings from a 90+ degree SoCal! Stopped by the local TRU in Alhambra today before work and spotted remnants of the VOTC wave and low and behold what did my eyes spy on... nothing, but the VOTC Vader that I've been searching high and low for since they came out. Left on the pegs were Han, Leia (I think) and Obi-Wan. Collecting dust was the Skirmish at Carkoon 4 pack and some older 12-inch figs. And for those that care they also had about 4 pegs worth of Marvel Legends VI. I don't collect this line, but the Juggernaut and Cable figs looked pretty neat! Wish Hasbro could do something like that, but oh well. That's it for now kiddies, and remember... be good to each other and fight the good fight. Peace, out!”

I am sorry we did not catch up with you George! I was looking forward to meeting you in person. I recall the By a Trooper for a Trooper contest you gave the figures for a couple years back! Truly and example of what this site is about.

Wizard World UPDATE!!!
Hey Troops, the Wizard World 2004 page has been updated for Friday, August 13th. What some could say as superstitious or bad luck turned out to be good fortune and highly rewarding. Gentle Giant did not drop the ball, the fans came out in droves and bargains were to be found. All this done without the entertainment and amusement of Hasbro, which was very conspicuous by their absence. Make sure to check out the complete report.

Sandtrooper Jedi-Hawk Reports:
Texas S.C.A.L.P. Border Patrol“Well Troops, times are going pretty well around here. I found my first set of basic OTC figures this week at my local Target. Picked up the Dagobah wave plus a few others. Also last week I was able to pick up the VOTC Vader & Yoda from my local TRU. My Wal-Mart?s have reset the toy aisles and put out some new product. One of them put out the VOTC Wave 1 with Ben, Han, and Leia just this morning. Not any basic OTC at these Wal-Mart?s yet. But maybe soon. Also the Target has plenty of the galactic heroes sets and a few Falcons. (All 3 versions, 3-?-inch, Playskool, Lego) My TRU put out some SAGA figures today representing the Admiral Ozzel Wave. And they had a few more cases of the same they put in the back. So that is not good for TRU. Not much other news. I am looking for a Dagobah Luke Handstand Variation. Also I am asking for help from any trooper who can get me the new Kmart exclusive Cantina Scene. There is not a Kmart within 100 miles (or more) of my area. Drop me an email if you can help out. Also if anyone needs anything from this area let me know. Hunt'em Down!”

Sandtrooper Jetfire Reports: Makin' Tracks for the Windy City!
Will you just get your ass here already?“Hey troopers! Sandtrooper Jetfire reporting in here with a find in a way out K-mart that I never knew existed. All in all, a round trip of just over 100 miles. Going off a tip from a fellow trooper on the location of the first wave of VOTC, I hit the Meijers in Ionia (exit 66 on US-196/96). Figured I'd stop in at the K-mart next door and was treated with a nice surprise! Sitting there on the pegs where OTC figs 12-20! I grabbed one of each and even snagged an extra Cloud Car Pilot for my good friend Ryanthehutt. There was an R2, Bespin Leia, Lobot, and one other still on the pegs when I left. Got to say I love the Stormtrooper packaging a ton! Not much else going on here in West Michigan as we eagerly await the next wave of VOTC (Vader, Yoda, and?) Well, that's about it. See all you guys down at Wizard World - Chicago!”

Sandtrooper Jason D. Meyers Reports: Left Bruised and Beaten, Scalper's Corpse Half-Eaten
“Troopers, the past couple days of toy runs have proven to be more fruitful than others as of late. At first it had looked like I was getting hit with bruised and beaten scattershot remnants of common OTC figures, but once again Countryside, IL Target in the Quarry Shopping Center came through yesterday with two VOTC Vaders while Wal-Mart in that plaza is in the middle of reset. Across the border an unexpected surprise at Regency Mall Suncoast in Racine, WI where OTCs of pre-pistol-whipped amputated Luke, R2-D2, and TIE Fighter Pilot awaited and they had other commons too. Toys R Us and Big Kmart in Racine came up on the empty side but the TRU did have an abundance of the new Jedi Council multi-packs. I had some time to kill this morning before a traffic court appearance so I hit Target in Waukegan where I picked up two, YES TWO VOTC Lukes - one for me, one for a Trooper in need, just e-mail me! Kmart in Zion, IL is in the middle of a reset and still have sets of Galactic Heroes. Again heading toward the woods of Wisconsin, I found nothing at Wal-Mart or Shopko in Kenosha, WI, while Target in K-Town had some OTC that I needed, including Dagobah Yoda, Stormtrooper, and Blue baby blue baby Boba Fett Carkoon third repack. I'll head back out again to make that voyage to the heart of Scalperville and look forward to meeting the Legions of Sandtroopers at Wizard World Chicago this weekend. United we find!”

Sandtroopette Donna Reports:
S.C.A.L.P. Costal Defender“Hey Troops, Donna from So Cal reporting in. Local Targets are starting to reset their shelves with OTC stuff. Hitting 5 Targets over the weekend, I found all three ships (Falcon, Tie Fighter, X-wing), Galactic Heroes, GH Falcon, Ask Yoda, Unleashed Obi, 12-inch Luke and Stormtrooper (missed Boba) and VOTC figs. My best score was finding the vintage Vader and Yoda at Target. Still no sign of basic figs. Lastly, a big THANKS to John Poucher for hooking me up with the Leia glass. Happy Hunting to all!”

Sandtrooper Dead Man Inc. Reports: VOTC in Massachusetts
“VOTC character wave 1 and 2 are hitting the stores now. What I found at a local Toys R Us: VOTC Luke, Han, and Leia. What I found by traveling about an hour out of my way: VOTC Vader. Yes, Vader, Yoda, Lando, and C-3PO are out there. However, you will not find them in one location
