Trooper Chad reports:
Hello Troopers, Well, I can't find the Cantina sets here in North Alabama. I give up. My Wal-Marts must be paranoid about Star Wars. They can't move anything. Kmart is the same way. Can anyone help me in finding the Cantina sets? I will pay cost and shipping. This is starting to suck! Thanks for nothing Hasbro. cryan@ardmore.net
I'd be quicker to blame the Mega-Lo-Mart rather than Hasbro, but someone out there will hear the call - I have foreseen it!

Trooper Roland reports:
Today at my local Wal-Mart I didn't see anything new as far as the new saga toys are concerned but I happened upon (in the good old clearance isles) a LEGO Tie Fighter set for $6.50, Palm talker C-3P0 & Chewbacca for $4.50 each, and the 12" DS Droid & DS Trooper for $8. These were all found at the Pineville, LA Super Wal-Mart. Your mileage may vary, but keep on top of Wal-Mart for clearance items, thanks. rmrodrigue@cox-internet.com

Lex-wan here with some more news, I just got off the phone with Target.com & they told me that they do have the R2-D2 interactive droid for $99.99 instock! Anyone wanting this bad boy, now you can get him! Also, Wal-mart.com now has the Republic Gunship available to buy & a pre-order on the Arena Playset, looks like they will hit stores any day now! Hey Troopers, I was wondering if anyone knows how or where to get replacement parts for vintage vehicles? I would prefer original parts but repros will due. I need things like the Quad Canon, Radar Dish, cardboard background, and other small inside parts. Any leads would be very helpful. Thanks and MTFBWY, JEFFRED5@AOL.COM

Trooper Boba-Brett reports:
Boba-Brett reporting on latest bounty hunt in Rocky River, OH! It's been awhile since I've posted but I just gotta say this is the most awesome site of any out there and yet to come. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! Anyway, not a whole lot to see here. No new figures since first #40. I've seen one Target Accessory pack(smashed), one deluxe C-3PO (smashed)...I did luck out and finally find the Nexu (Walmart had a TON of them), Found one cantina bar scene (walrusman) BOUGHT IT!, TRU had about 15 R2-D2 & X-Wings(not impressed for $40), MANY MANY MANY Zutton, Eeth Koth too. My wife got me the first three Star Tours figures for my birthday (I have a great wife). That's all for now so if anyone needs me to get something for them or keep an eye out just e-mail me and I'd be more than happy to help. MTFBWY! lbg2000@netzero.net
Thanks for the kind words. I'm sorry to hear about all the smashed figure packaging (would have been great for me since I open), but it is terrible that anyone would smash them up real good like that!

Trooper Jedi Daxter reports:
I have found a petition for a Poggle the Lesser AOTC 3-3/4 inch figure, and one for a SAGA Ewok village playset - JediDaxter, www.geocities.com/petitionorg.

Sign Poggle Petition
Sign Ewok Playset petition
I signed each, but I don't think a petition will be required for a Poggle figure to see the light of day, though Arlen Poggle Boosters are encouraged to sign! Poggle, I am sure, is on Hasbro's short list for 2003 offerings. Let the discussion in the forums begin! - Grab your custom Petitioner figure or your sticks, torches, and board with nail in it and talk about it in the Sarlacc Pit area of the Forums, here!

Trooper Bruce reports:
Trooper Bruce from MN - When I got home from work today, my wife said she had a surprise. She said she bid on an auction at E-bay for me and won. When I looked at the auction, it appears to be OK. But I cannot tell if the Vintage Items shown are for the 3-3/4" figs, or are these the action fleet?? The scale is hard to tell in the photo. Also, are these 12" dolls (Boba Fett and luke storm) or Applause???

Bruce, the AT-AT, Falcon, and Slave 1 are 3-3/4" scale ships from the Vintage Line, as you thought. The Fett and Han (not Luke) are indeed 10" vinyl figures from Applause released in 1995. I also see the 1998 Complete Galaxy Death Star with Vader in Meditation Chamber (though it's not possible to know whether the figure is inside), and what appears to be a portion of the Death Star diplay case included with some of the Star Wars watches released in 1997. Trooper ObiWanJay tells me the R2 unit looks like the 1997 Taco Bell promotion toy that came with a Leia. I can't identify the items adjacent to the vinyl figures. Please e-mail me if you recognize these. I will update the post and credit the vigilante viewer who knows!

Internet Headlines for Friday, August 30
More Items for Early 2003: - Philip Wise of Rebelscum compiles these items set for a Feb./Mar. 2003 release. Basic Figures: Lama Su & Clone Boy, Aayla Secura with Super Articulation, Bariss Offee (Jedi Master); and Deluxe Figures: Commerce Guild Spider Droid, Super Battle Droid Builder. You may also catch up on the end of the year release listings while you are there, at RS.com!
Worried about the Queen - A sticker overlay correction to the biography/synopsis on the back of the new Padme Pilot card. The early version explains that the Queen of Naboo was the target, with the corrected version acknowledging that it was Padme who was in danger. Visit SSG for more.

TBS Snowtrooper Evolution - Ishi Tib and Barada from TheBothanSpy.com have assembled an examination of the various Snowtrooper figures seen since 1980. This is one character that always seems to look rather good. See it at TBS.com.
New Items discussed - Here are two new entries for 2003, given a good report on by TradeFederation.net. The first is a new ROTJ Jabba playset (new detailed sculpt), the other is seemingly typical of many of the recent releases: it is an Episode II Yoda packaged with his jedi Council chair. Troops, you already have the loose version if you own the items that this was created from!
Return of the 'Glazed-Eyed Joker' - R2N has added a detailed gallery of the Endor Trooper from the Fan Club 4-pack builder set. This is the same glazed-eyed goon from POTF2, but there's FOUR!!

Hi again troops! Business in Eastern WA is finally picking up! I stumbled across the new Unleashed Vader and Padme KB Toys in Spokane, WA, along with the 12" Red and Yellow Clonetroopers. Also, Kmart has gotten in the new 12" wave of Dooku, Zam, and the Super Battledroid. One more thing: I don't see many reports from Fred Meyer but I found the new Teemto and Ki-Adi Mundi figures at a pair of Fred Meyer stores today. Still some Cantina Sets at Wal-Mart left. That's it for now - Jedi Hitch. Hitchbuddy@aol.com

Trooper Ray reports:
I was on the road the other day and was able to stop at Disney World in Orlando. I was surprised to see that in addition to the three Star Tours figures they also are featuring a Rebel Alliance Bowcaster $20.00, Galactic Empire Rifle $20.00 and a Rebel Alliance Blaster at $15.00, in the Star Tours logo/packageing. The Star Tours figures sell for $10.00 each. It would also appear that Disney will be carrying the complete line of Star Wars including items that I thought were exclusives. As an example they had for sale the new X-Wing and Landspeeder, 12" Ki-Adi-Mundi @ $28.00, the 12" Luke with Tauntaum @ $60, all three of the Cantina figure sets @ $10 each. They also had in stock the 4 new vinyl Character Collectibles (J.Fett, Vader, Luke and Mace Windu) $20.00 each. There prices are a bit higher than the stores but they seem to be getting the newer items earlier than most. The one thing I did not care for is that they will sell any item by the case. I watched a number of cases go out the door. I hope this information will be helpful to those that are forced/choose to buy through ebay or other collectors as it will give you some idea of that Disney is charging. Please feel free to contact me for further information. I hope to be able to stop by again in late October -Ray Klein . kleinr@alltel.net

New Reviews - Darth Maul (Sith Training) & Anakin Skywalker (Tatooine Attack), plus Star Tours images

What do Bret Michaels and Anakin have in common? What do Darth Maul and Michael Jackson have in common? And why would J think it would have been nice for these two new figures to have gotten the decapitation treatment rather than Anakin's Tusken victims? Find out as Spiceowan and I review Wave 6 of Collection 1, just follow this link. To voice your opinion, post it here in the discussion area.
You may also check out our Star Tours images, RX-24 "REX," G2-4T, and R3-D3. Click on the thumbnail to see the full-size image. Reviews of these figures are coming this weekend, along with more images, enjoy!

Internet Headlines for Thursday, August 29
Star Tours R4-M9: Now here's a different spin on a droid of the same name. Here is the Star Tours release, featuring new head and aquamarine accents. See the Official Site's 'Cargo Bay' to see details on the first six figures in this special series. Already available are 3 3/4" scale figures of Captain Rex, G2-4T and R3-D3. Then come R4-M9, DL-X2 and WEG-1618. Another three complete the line later this year. Hasbro has also confirmed that this series WILL NOT be made availbale through the Fan Club.
Unleased Details - See R2N for visual guides of Vader, Anakin and Padme Unleashed mini-statues.
From the Fan Club - Reports at Yakface.com and Tradefederaion.net put some credence in the plausibility of a Holiday version two-pack of C-3PO as Santa and R2-D2 as reindeer to be offered through the Fan Club this holiday season.
Reverse-Engineering an Obstacle Course - The latest 'Image Attack' pits Anakin against an invisible and seemingly intangible challenge while navigating through the droid factory on Geonosis. And for a group shot reminiscent of the scene from A New Hope, see the droids, Padme and Anakin in the Lars garage in yesterday's image.
If you haven't bought it yet, than it MUST be new! - Deja-Vu! Here are Rebelscum's photo archives of the second Endor Rebel Soldier and Massiff with Tusken Raider.

Area Report
Spiceowan checking in for northeast Illinois. Lake county has a rogue squadron of X-Wing's at basically every location. Landspeeders are beginning to hit. No sign of the Cantina Packs at any Wal-Marts for me. The Target Accesory Packs have been wiped out of every location they hit.More to come !?! On the figure side of things figures 27-40 are the hottest thing on the market, or the latest pegwarmers but it seems the first 16 may be beginning to fade. The only vehicles on sale are the Slave 1 and the Jedi Starfighter. I have yet to see these blowout sales I read about elsewhere.I haven't seen the deluxe C-3P0 or Yoda either. I believe the reason for this is the shelfs are flooded with the older stuff.Acklay and Landspeeders, along with the newer unleashed figures are leaving shelfs in a hurry.Stores are also slowing down gearing for dare I say Christmas ! This is what a manager of a anonymous TRU told me. Unreal! I thought it was summer . Good Luck out there Troops, Kick A$% and take names !
The last I heard on the Landspeeder hitting Southern Wisconsin was it wasn't ! Their computer shows it not scheduled to arrive at all. Strange when it appears to be everywhere else. Sorry Cheddar-troopers!! spiceowan@sandtroopers.com

Hey troops, I was out at my local stores today. The TRU in Mentor, OH has more of the X-wings, but still no sign of the land speeder. K-mart, as usual, had pretty much the same stuff that they've had for the past four months. Finally, the Wal-Mart in Mentor has gotten the Cantina bar sets. Of course they have them right after you get layed off, and have no money. Yet, I thought I would at least try to help out my fellow troopers in the Greater Cleveland area. Hi Troops! I have noticed recently that KB Toys has been getting the new Teemto and Ki-Adi Mundi figures. I've spotted them in a few locations here in Eastern Washington. Also, The Cantina sets are available at several Wal Marts around here. I hope everyone who wants those has good luck in finding them, as they are definitely worth it. The accesory sets at Target came and went. I missed them all except the Hoth Set. Toys R Us has been dry except for the X-Wing (no sign of the Landspeeder yet). The nearest Kmart had the series 2 Unleashed, but the scalpers were there when the store opened (as they always are - where do they get that kind of time?). Trooper Jake reports:
Just wanted to let everyone know that if you order from Toyfellas.com, you will be treated as a first class collector. I have to say that they are the best company that I have ever ordered action figures from. They communicate well, they voluntarily upgraded my shipping, and packaged the figures very well. They even upgraded my shipping schedule because it took too long to get to Boston! They have multiple grades of figures to choose from - which is a must if you are as picky of a collector as I am. These guys are great and they have gained a customer as long as I continue to collect Star Wars. Thanks guys!!!!! - Jake jake186@attbi.com
I agree Jake, Toyfellas has shown me the same superb service! That's why we recommend the online sources listed in our sponsors section; you should always expect the same level of service from all of these fine establishments.

Trooper Drew reports:
I've never posted here before, but thought this was pretty cool news. I started collecting with the new Saga figures this April, so I missed out on POTF2, Ep. 1, and POTJ. I'm working my way backwards and found the motherload on POTJ today at St. Matthew's TRU in Louisville, Kentucky. I asked an employee to check the back for any POTJ left (they only had Zutton hanging on the pegs), and he came back with a fresh case. I got Eeth Koth, Amidala Travel, FX-7, Rebel Soldier, and Imperial Officer -- all for $4.99. Be sure to ask the store employee's (some are helpful) and you may get lucky! Happy Hunting! Drew Arnold, New Albany, Indiana arnoldd@horizonresearchint.com
Score one for the good guys! If you need help adding to that collection, you will surely find it here, just let us know if we can be of service! Glad to have you on board!

I went back to the TRU that told me on Tuesday they will have the Landspeeder on Wednesday & got there to have the same air head tell me "oh they must have been sold cause I don't see them on the shelf," then I said "well is it possible that they were in the back sitting on a pallet of toys & maybe was MISTAKENLY put in locations in your back room?," tru TOOL ---- OH NONO THAT NEVER HAPPENS IT ALWAYS COMES RIGHT TO THE FLOOR (liar)--- So I went to another TRU that was showing they had 18 in stock like every other TRU in this area. They told me in a sarcastic way "well they're here but they're not here, they could possibly be on the truck sitting out back, but God knows when that will be unloaded," man I wanted to rattle his cage. So the moral of the story here is that TRU's in mid east PA have the Landspeeders BUT don't have them and have no idea what the words "customer service" means, just one other reason the only time I ever buy from them is when they have an exclusive, they suck with a capitol S. Thanks for letting me vent. Lex-wan

Get a GOOD look at the new figures:
Ishi Tib from TheBothanSpy.com has rounded up the newest figures, reviewed them, and compiled a fantastic looking set of photographs rendered in great catalog-style layout. Watto (Mos Espa Junk Dealer), Lott Dod (Neimodian Senator), Padme Amidala (Coruscant Attcak) and Massiff with Tusken Raider can each be seen here at TBS.

Trooper Sith Lord 506 reports:
Hello Troopers,I have been reading Sandtroopers for over a year, but I have never sent anything in. I normally just like to buy Star Wars Stuff for my collection and not trade for anything because it is too hard to decide to part with anything. The one time I did trade with a friend I gave up a first printing of the original Star Wars Sketch Book and I have regretted it ever since. If anyone has one and is willing to part with it please let me know. The main reason I am writing is because I have been out of work for a while and money for things like Star Wars figures is drying up. I am still looking for a few figures to complete some of the older series like the CommTech and EP I collections. I am looking for an EU Leia Organa Solo (from Dark Horse Comics), a CommTech Princess Leia (with hood up), all three of the Wal-mart Excl. Jabba's band sets, EP I TC-14, EP I Darth Sidious (Holo), EP I Sio Bibble, EP I Queen Amidala w/Asscension Gun), Saga figures over #40, the Target Excl. Accessory Sets, the Wal-mart Excl. Cantina Sets, and the TRU Excl. Luke W/Landspeeder. Thanks and May The Force Be With You All, United We Find. SithLord506@aol.com

A promise is a debt.
For the troopers who asked about the precedence of the droid included with the newly Pod Racer Tempto Pegalies, here I bring the promised shot. The Droids are dropped by a larger craft shown on top, then they do take the bits and pieces from accidented Pods this pieces being picked up belonged to racer Cleg Holdfast Voltec K-T9. It was brought down by The infamous Sebulba after using a flame thrower hidden in his Podracer; The scene was cut and this could serve as a speculation on why Count Dooku has 2 lightsabers; We'll see as soon as the DVD is released. For those questions you might have feel free to give me a holler HERE.

Hiya troopers, Just a quick report before I hit the rack. Was at the TRU in Biloxi, MS today and saw that they had 5 of the new X-Wings, and about 8 of the Landspeeders w/ Luke. Wasn't able to get anything today, but I thought I'd pass the word on to the rest of the platoon. Thats it for this transmission.

Force of the Bay
Spiceowan back from the realm of E-Bay bringing to you the best in rarities from the World's Online Marketplace. The Outrider is not the most extint piece in the Star Wars saga but missed by many was this. Package variant hunters look out for the Mexican Four Pack , with that buy it now price he could make the Power Sucka entry as well. One most rare pieces in the vintage collection was this Tie Bomber hard to believe a mini could be one of the toughest pieces to find. I was digging through the Movie Props and found this X-Wing Helmet , very close but I am not sure the paint job is as accurate as it could be.Okay it isn't a Sandtrooper but a good runner up it is.
Allright Troops I had to find one myself but I will use this Sucka as an example. We are looking to serve notice on Sucka's like these. Send those ridiculous listings to me spiceowan@sandtroopers.com . Together we will fight the true scum abusing our hobby. That's it for now Troopers , Kick A%$ and take names!

Trooper Chris reports:
Hey Troops, Chris reporting in here from the Great White North (a very hot Canada right now). In my travels over the last few days I have found the Luke Landspeeders at all three TRUs here in Edmonton and surprisingly enough they have had quite a few of them available. I'm amazed the scalpers haven't taken them yet. I have also seen the 12 inch Mace Windu's. I haven't picked them up yet because I am really only into the 3.75 figures. However, the thought has crossed my mind to pick them up. I do have some other things besides the action figures so it's not like it would be the first time I bought something else. If I had the money I would go to all 3 TRUs buy them all and then keep one for myself and then selling the rest here on Sandtroopers. If only. If anyone wants one let me know and I'd get them for cost plus shipping. Now for my compliant. I have been on Ebay trying to get a Jorg Sacul. Every time I see one for a real price it either has a reserve price, ships to the US only or if they do ship to Canada they want payment by Paypal or Billpoint. I only like using M.O.s because then I know it is payed for. Anyone out there who has a Jorg Sacul that is willing to trade for a TRU landspeeder or at cost plus shipping let me know. I dont mind losing a little on the landspeeder if I can get a Jorg Sacul. Thanks, Chris chris_melissa@shaw.ca

Hi Guys! This is my first time writing to you, although I have been visiting your site daily for the best part of a year and a half. I thought I'd share the Joy with some of your fellow Australian readers (I know you're out there). Today I have seen my first signs of the new stuff arriving in Brisbane; I've spotted Yoda Deluxe at the new Toy World Indooroopilly and Deluxe 3P0 I've seen at some K-Marts but today I picked up a couple of the NEW Action fleet (SWEET!) at my local Big W, so guys it's coming! Thanks guys, and a great site. Although you mainly deal with US and Canadian release dates, your site gives me great indications as to when to expect them down here.
Great Job- keep it coming. shocktrooper@ihug.com.au
We welcome you Simon! Keep up the great reports to help your comrades in Australia!

Trooper RMS reporting from Puerto Rico. I made a pass through several KB's in the area where I saw plenty of the newest Unleashed wave (Vader, Padme & Anakin) and Action Fleet (mostly X-Wings and Falcons). Trooper Joe reports:
Hello my friends, I actually have two reasons for writing. The first is to ask any fellow troopers out there if they might have a Toy Fair Vader for sale. The last thing I want to do is give my money to a scalper on ebay. I also want to know whether there are any collectors around the Horseheads-Corning New York area. If there are, then please e-mail me! I have been getting a little lost in the space of collecting and could help others out there who have the same interests. Besides, its a lot easier to trade with friends who live right down the street compared to right over the ocean. Thanks everyone - Joe Josephkasian@aol.com

Geonosian Hive LEGO Diorama from ACPin

"Following the trail of steam vents, Anakin and Padme stumble upon stalagmite city. As they pass through the corridors, the surface of the pillars seems to pulse slowly and move! Suddenly, they realize that the Geonosian hive has come alive!"

And, also new at ACPin SW: Some pics of two SW props that were in the Disney-MGM backlot tour taken during our summer vacation. You'll agree with me once you see them that they're the ultimate SW collectibles!

Area Report
Spiceowan checking in for North of Chicago , South of Heaven , better known as Lake County Illinois. No sign of Teemto wave or anything after 40 on the figures. The Landspeeders have landed at TRU, but have eluded me thusfar. The accesory packs have hit in Highland Park, Gurnee, and Waukegan to my knowledge. No luck with the Cantina Packs yet either, the sclaps live at Wal-Mart around here. In-store exclusives seem to be the craze these days ! Remember when they only hit once or twice a year ? I have been quite busy personally so I have been hitting the stores late or less than usual.
Also a special thanks to Trooper Mark Anderson of Arden Hills MN, for the trade recently completed. This guy went the extra mile and made sure we both got a square deal! What the tatooine swap meet is all about, FAIR AND SQUARE United we find !!
Welcome back Uncle George, your amazing talents along with your keen eye will be a helluva welcome back to the pages of Sandtroopers !! ( Nice 45 day retirement huh ?) Hope you are ready to Kick A$% and take names G-money , like I have been telling the rest of the Troops to do ! Reviews in a few .....Spiceowan Out !!

My good buddy JIMSJEDI reports:
First off, I'd like to welcome George back to the site. He is great to deal with and has been very cool with me since I've been visiting this site. Also, all of the Ames stores(which there is plenty of in the North East) are closing there doors in the near future. Today started there closing sale and all toys are 20% for now. By this time next week I'm hoping they will be 30%-40% off, then I will stat getting some stuff. I really don't need much, but for those prices it will be worth it. Still no sign of the newer stuff, but it will be here shortly. Thanks, and I'll talk to you all soon.
JIMSJEDI
Thanks a lot Jimmy, it is a pleasure to be back with not my friends here, but you all are my family. Whats goes around comes around, God bless you all.

Trooper Lex-Wan (Jedi Spirit) reports:
And now for the greater mid east PA news: Yes, you've guessed it, the Wal-marts in PA are getting the cantina bar exclusives but the funny thing is I thought all the Super Wal-marts got all new product in first, but not so with these cantina sets, all super Wal-marts in the area had none, just piles & piles of EP2 figs, none higher than #40 in the Saga line. These new sets were at regular Wal-marts only, so if you're having a hard time finding the "Baba bunch" as I like to call them, I suggest abandoning your super Wal-mart & heading for the regular ol' wal-mart - you might have better luck. The only thing I don't like about these new exclusives is that they don't come with weapons, all these guys had blasters in the movie so why no guns? Maybe another politically correct toy from Lucas like the non-smoking Dex. I guess it's not good to show kids that will buy this set of figs, that weapons in a bar is okay, just glasses. Well anyway so be it. As for other stores, everyone else had nothing. I did see the X-wing at TRU but no Luke & Taun Taun or Land speeder. I also saw at TRU they had 6 Ultra Magnus & 4 Optimus Prime "go TF's," so to all I say happy hunting! Lex-wan

Comics
Hey Troops, no new Star Wars comics this week, actually it has been really slow this month. We haven't had a new comic since the 7th. However, next week we will see Star Wars Infinities: The Empire Strikes Back #2. The first issue was interesting and set up what could be a cool story with Han following Luke's dying wishes and going off to Dagobah to train as a Jedi Knight. I am looking forward to seeing where they are going with that story. I also really enjoyed what I think is the first image (correct me if I'm wrong) of an adult Boba Fett sans helmet. It was pretty cool.

Miracles do happen. A brief report from western Canada - went to all the major outlets in the greater Vancouver area, Wal-Mart as usual had nothing at all but lo and behold at the most unlikely Zellers store I found the Arena and Hoth accessory sets and the Acklay. I Also found the new Land Speeder at TRU. After nothing new since the Bespin Luke wave (which lasted about 2 days) finally things may be picking up. I hope to see Djas Puhr and the Endor soldiers at some point but I won't hold my breath. Is there any info out there about the exclusive TRU Silver R2-D2? And finally If there are any other troopers in the Vancouver area I would be interested in hearing from you. Unite! Keith, epta@telus.net
The Silver-Edition R2-D2, is still something that is likely to be seen as a promotion at TRU in the U.S. (free with purchase). Keep watching for updates. Check out our forums to do even more networking with Troops in western Canada.

Jedi Artwork Series - Now Available
This is the information from Trooper Erich, regarding his artwork which he is now selling, $18 each or set of 3 for $45. Click on the thumbnails to see the full portrait, note that there is a protective watermark present on the digital images. Please use the e-mail link below to contact him

The 1st in the series depicts my two favorite Jedi Masters: Plo Koon and Saesee Tinn awaiting the first strike. Putting these two together just fit. They are two of the more obscure Jedi, and fight back to back on Geonosis.

The 2nd in the series depicts the two main Jedi Characters in Episode ll: the wise Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his cocky apprentice Anakin Skywalker, both standing at the ready. This was a must since the entire story revolves around these two characters. After all, Episodes I through III are all about the downfall of Anakin and Obi-Wan's failure as a teacher.

The 3rd in the series depicts the backbone of the Jedi Council: Yoda, Mace Windu and Ki-Adi-Mundi, blades drawn and ready for battle. I felt these three needed to be together due to the strong Council connection through Episodes I and II.
There are two more pieces to the series that will follow. They will be Luminara, Barrissa and Shack Ti, and finally Kit, Nikto and the Twilek woman. They will be available by the end of the year. Thanks again - Erich Fritz

Trooper JeffRed5 reports:
Hey Troopers, I was just over at KBtoys.com, since on-line is the only shopping I'll be doing for a while. They have 6 pages of Star Wars toys, most of which is old news by now, except for page 6 which only has one toy, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (PS2) Video game is available for pre-order and will be available on 11/20/02 just in time to buy it and spend all Thanksgiving weekend playing it.
I also wanted to take a moment to thank all the troopers out there for sending me the get well cards and posts showing your support for me and my friend Eric who none of you even know. Our accident was pretty bad, I was driving my Chevy S-10 ZR2 Pick-up on I-75 about 50 miles South of Toledo going about 85 MPH (in a 75 zone) and we went off road and rolled it three times. I was the lucky one and only broke a couple ribs and sprained my neck. My best friend Eric broke his neck and right scapula. We are both in slings and casts, but thanks to everyone's prayers and kind thoughts we are both alive and in a few months we should both be back to normal pretty much. I am really proud to call you all friends and thankful that you were there for us in our time of need. Thank you, and May The Force Be With You Always, Jeffred5@aol.com
Glad to hear that you and Eric are on the mend, we'll all be hoping that both of you have a speedy recovery!

Troopette Pam reports:
Hi fellow troopers and troopettes! I've never posted before but I just wanted to say that this site rocks! I have learned so much from all of you troopers who write in on a regular basis. It's been great!
Just made another great trade with Frank L. from NY. He and I also traded back in July. This was my first trade ever and I'm glad it was with such a great guy! He's very trustworthy and honest. Thanks Frank! My son is one happy little camper!!!
I was just surfing over at Toys R Us.com and noticed that Ephant Mon had the "usually ships" tag under him rather than the discontinued note, but when I clicked on him he wasn't available. What's up with that? Also, does anyone know who the following figures are: Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones Figure: 84811, and 84625? These are listed at Amazon.com's TRU area and don't have a picture or a description. They also have the "usually ships" tag under their new item symbol, but they are not available either. - Pam
Pam, we're very happy that you heeded the call and wrote in! The figures that correspond with those Item Numbers are Ki-Adi-Mundi (he was slated to be released as 84811, but instead is 84912) and the Number 84625 was associated with a Figure #134 which cannot be traced, but was one of the initial figures released on April 23rd. So you can ignore those entries in their online catalog

Internet Headlines for Wednesday, August 21
Kotobukiya Vinyl Figure Kits - Following up on yesterdays Obi-Wan image, RS.com now has photos of loose Clone Trooper and Anakin, along with the AOTC Obi-Wan. See another point of view of these figures at R2N (Anakin and Clone). These Japanese kits are 1/7th scale, and if you would like a look at the packaging, SSG has a photo of the boxed Clone Trooper from this series.
Why buy this when you can get the SAGA versions? - As seen in online auctions, it is the forthcoming Fan Club-issued Endor Rebel Soldier Troop Builder set, here is a photo of the set and the mailer box that can be viewed at RebelScum, and another at R2N.
New figures 'loosen' things up - R2N has compiled image galleries of the newer SAGA figues. Multiple loose shots of Cantina Greedo, Momaw Nadon & Ponda Baba, Watto, Teemto Pagalies, Lott Dodd, New Darth Maul, Padme Pilot, Anakin (Tatooine), Massiff & Tusken Raider and the second Endor Trooper.
Now, would ya look at that - This is the latest Interactive Yoda toy, it will see a release in October, retailing around twenty dollars. Read the details at TFN news, and see front and back packaged images.
When the Hunter Becomes the Hunted - This Official Site poll asks how Obi-Wan would get Jango back to Coruscant if he had taken him into custody? And, you'll really feel comfortable after looking at the latest 'Image Attack,' it is a picture of a couch!

Is Hasbro playing "Hard to get" with store exclusives?
Either my Wal-Mart is now scared of Star Wars or they are just resetting for the X-mas season. I haven't seen the new Anakin and Maul (I didn't really care for that one), much less the Cantina sets... I also noticed one thing, employees are dumb as stones when it comes to this stuff. During the Y-wing fiasco of 2000, I went to a Target 80 miles away from where I live. One was built in 2001 when the B-wing came out. Anyway, some of the employees I asked had the nerve to tell me to try Toy R Us. Is it me or does Hasbro want people to kill each other in finding the stuff? I did get the Y-wing but others I know have not. One of your associates was kind enough to help me out - George Collazo. Hasbro should never have made it that difficult to find, coupled to the fact that Target didn't put it on their website. I have never forgiven Target for that mess. Now,I work for them but I am still bitter! Thanks. cryan@ardmore.net

Jedi Cor reports:
Hello, the Horsehead, NY Walmart store has nothing new, just like the Corning store, with lots of Harry Potter. The KB at Arnot Mall has a small section at the front of the store. They had 3 Yellow, and 2 Red Clone Troopers. Numerous Action Fleet Vehicles and older Action Figures. TRU has a much smaller section for Starwars, not even the new Land Speeder and X - Wing Fighter yet. Not worth going to this store. That’s it and good luck to everybody else. Also don’t forget to get your Hallmark Ornaments. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU - Jedi Cor

Jedisia reports:
Two Wal-Marts in Austin, TX both had the new Cantina Figs in mass quantities (10 of each) , so if you live near the Round Rock Wal-Mart on Louis Henna or the Walmart off I-35 near Highland mall, check them out. These figures are awsome. I have also seen the new Unleashed figs, X-wings and landspeeders at TRU near Lakeline Mall. Still have not seen any trace of the Ki Adi Mundi wave. jowa6@hotmail.com

Trooper Frank reports:
Has anybody in the NORTHEAST come across any KI ADI or TEEMTO figures ? I heard reports of people finding them a couple of weeks ago out west, but i've never seen any around here in NY. The last "new" figures to i found were the CHEWIE/HAN SOLO wave, and that's it. Belive it or not, i've never seen any of the BOSHEK/TEEBO wave either! I'm still searching for these figures too. Sometimes my area (LONG ISLAND, in NASSAU COUNTY) isn't the best! fbljr1@juno.com

Trooper Chad reports:
Well, I finally found the Saga Landspeeder today (8/21)at the great TRU. It is a big improvement over the past release. One little thing I don't like is that it doesn't have any place to put 3PO and R2 on the back like in ANH. Also,I got a message from Wal-Mart.com that the Republic gunship has been pushed back to Aug 30th. I am still keeping that order open. No sign of the Cantina sets yet. A big round of thanks to Jason for slapping me around encouraging me to keeping the faith. Take care. cryan@ardmore.net
Glad you were able to cross one off your list Chad! One down, four to go; keep the faith, keep up the hunt, and remember: if you have trouble finding things in the future, the Sandtroopers Community is here to help! -J.

Force of the Bay
Spiceowan is back on the offensive bringing to you some rarities from the world's online marketplace. In my sights this week first is a old variant ,just a sticker varitant but probably one of the first of many to come. Don't get your panties in a bundle! This is straight from the old school. This Old Droid was released when the Star Wars line was on the decline in the late eighties. The seller here guarantees this Jawa is genuine. If not satified run on down to Australia and get your money back from him! This would almost be the ultimate Stormtrooper costume, if you had a orange shoulder pad and a backpack plus a concussion grenade launcher ! Think you have all the Dexter Jettster variants ? Think again. Thanks to Sandtrooper Jason for sending that in. Speaking of sending in there was no Power Sucka this week. We got them running scared Troops ! There must be no Sucka to report ! I doubt it send in those ridiculous listings in to me at spiceowan@sandtroopers.com
and help me exploit the scum trying to take advantage of collectors everywhere. Until next time Troops Kick A%$ and take names !

Canadian Report!
Well sort of? Actually there's not much new up here in the north lately unless you live near a TRU store. Walmart has been getting diddly squat and Zeller's has been getting limited quantities (like one case per store!) of the deluxe Anakin and Nexus wave and some Acklays.
TRU on the other hand has been getting the 25th Landspeeder & X-wing along with the 12" Luke w/Tauntaun and before the US! They also have the first wave of the unleashed figures. But as far as the basic line goes, noone has seen a Dajs or Palp on a tri-logo card yet along with the later waves. Hasbro is still promiseing we'll see all 52 figures on tri-logo cards this year though. Maybe closer to Christmas then.
Other than that, the Kellogg's Clonetrooper masks have all disappeared from the grocery stores and the cereal boxes containing the cubes are all but gone too. Still a few boxes of Raisin Bran around with them (yuck!). Maybe it's just me but it just doesn't feel the same this time around without all the food promos and stuff. I admit EP 1 was a little over publisized but I think this time it was a little under publisized.
Well take care troops and I'd like to wish Vaughn all the best in his future endeavours. He'll definitely be missed around here.
