Trooper Chad reports:
Hello Troopers, Well, I can't find the Cantina sets here in North Alabama. I give up. My Wal-Marts must be paranoid about Star Wars. They can't move anything. Kmart is the same way. Can anyone help me in finding the Cantina sets? I will pay cost and shipping. This is starting to suck! Thanks for nothing Hasbro. cryan@ardmore.net
I'd be quicker to blame the Mega-Lo-Mart rather than Hasbro, but someone out there will hear the call - I have foreseen it!

Trooper Roland reports:
Today at my local Wal-Mart I didn't see anything new as far as the new saga toys are concerned but I happened upon (in the good old clearance isles) a LEGO Tie Fighter set for $6.50, Palm talker C-3P0 & Chewbacca for $4.50 each, and the 12" DS Droid & DS Trooper for $8. These were all found at the Pineville, LA Super Wal-Mart. Your mileage may vary, but keep on top of Wal-Mart for clearance items, thanks. rmrodrigue@cox-internet.com

Lex-wan here with some more news, I just got off the phone with Target.com & they told me that they do have the R2-D2 interactive droid for $99.99 instock! Anyone wanting this bad boy, now you can get him! Also, Wal-mart.com now has the Republic Gunship available to buy & a pre-order on the Arena Playset, looks like they will hit stores any day now! Happy hunting to all - Lex-wan.

Hey Troopers, I was wondering if anyone knows how or where to get replacement parts for vintage vehicles? I would prefer original parts but repros will due. I need things like the Quad Canon, Radar Dish, cardboard background, and other small inside parts. Any leads would be very helpful. Thanks and MTFBWY, JEFFRED5@AOL.COM

    Trooper Boba-Brett reports:
Boba-Brett reporting on latest bounty hunt in Rocky River, OH! It's been awhile since I've posted but I just gotta say this is the most awesome site of any out there and yet to come. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! Anyway, not a whole lot to see here. No new figures since first #40. I've seen one Target Accessory pack(smashed), one deluxe C-3PO (smashed)...I did luck out and finally find the Nexu (Walmart had a TON of them), Found one cantina bar scene (walrusman) BOUGHT IT!, TRU had about 15 R2-D2 & X-Wings(not impressed for $40), MANY MANY MANY Zutton, Eeth Koth too. My wife got me the first three Star Tours figures for my birthday (I have a great wife). That's all for now so if anyone needs me to get something for them or keep an eye out just e-mail me and I'd be more than happy to help. MTFBWY! lbg2000@netzero.net
Thanks for the kind words. I'm sorry to hear about all the smashed figure packaging (would have been great for me since I open), but it is terrible that anyone would smash them up real good like that!

    Trooper Jedi Daxter reports:
I have found a petition for a Poggle the Lesser AOTC 3-3/4 inch figure, and one for a SAGA Ewok village playset - JediDaxter, www.geocities.com/petitionorg.

    Sign Poggle Petition
    Sign Ewok Playset petition

I signed each, but I don't think a petition will be required for a Poggle figure to see the light of day, though Arlen Poggle Boosters are encouraged to sign! Poggle, I am sure, is on Hasbro's short list for 2003 offerings. Let the discussion in the forums begin! - Grab your custom Petitioner figure or your sticks, torches, and board with nail in it and talk about it in the Sarlacc Pit area of the Forums, here!

    Trooper Bruce reports:
Trooper Bruce from MN - When I got home from work today, my wife said she had a surprise. She said she bid on an auction at E-bay for me and won. When I looked at the auction, it appears to be OK. But I cannot tell if the Vintage Items shown are for the 3-3/4" figs, or are these the action fleet?? The scale is hard to tell in the photo. Also, are these 12" dolls (Boba Fett and luke storm) or Applause???

Bruce, the AT-AT, Falcon, and Slave 1 are 3-3/4" scale ships from the Vintage Line, as you thought. The Fett and Han (not Luke) are indeed 10" vinyl figures from Applause released in 1995. I also see the 1998 Complete Galaxy Death Star with Vader in Meditation Chamber (though it's not possible to know whether the figure is inside), and what appears to be a portion of the Death Star diplay case included with some of the Star Wars watches released in 1997. Trooper ObiWanJay tells me the R2 unit looks like the 1997 Taco Bell promotion toy that came with a Leia. I can't identify the items adjacent to the vinyl figures. Please e-mail me if you recognize these. I will update the post and credit the vigilante viewer who knows!

Internet Headlines for Friday, August 30
  • More Items for Early 2003: - Philip Wise of Rebelscum compiles these items set for a Feb./Mar. 2003 release. Basic Figures: Lama Su & Clone Boy, Aayla Secura with Super Articulation, Bariss Offee (Jedi Master); and Deluxe Figures: Commerce Guild Spider Droid, Super Battle Droid Builder. You may also catch up on the end of the year release listings while you are there, at RS.com!
  • Worried about the Queen - A sticker overlay correction to the biography/synopsis on the back of the new Padme Pilot card. The early version explains that the Queen of Naboo was the target, with the corrected version acknowledging that it was Padme who was in danger. Visit SSG for more.

  • TBS Snowtrooper Evolution - Ishi Tib and Barada from TheBothanSpy.com have assembled an examination of the various Snowtrooper figures seen since 1980. This is one character that always seems to look rather good. See it at TBS.com.
  • New Items discussed - Here are two new entries for 2003, given a good report on by TradeFederation.net. The first is a new ROTJ Jabba playset (new detailed sculpt), the other is seemingly typical of many of the recent releases: it is an Episode II Yoda packaged with his jedi Council chair. Troops, you already have the loose version if you own the items that this was created from!
  • Return of the 'Glazed-Eyed Joker' - R2N has added a detailed gallery of the Endor Trooper from the Fan Club 4-pack builder set. This is the same glazed-eyed goon from POTF2, but there's FOUR!!

Hi again troops! Business in Eastern WA is finally picking up! I stumbled across the new Unleashed Vader and Padme KB Toys in Spokane, WA, along with the 12" Red and Yellow Clonetroopers. Also, Kmart has gotten in the new 12" wave of Dooku, Zam, and the Super Battledroid. One more thing: I don't see many reports from Fred Meyer but I found the new Teemto and Ki-Adi Mundi figures at a pair of Fred Meyer stores today. Still some Cantina Sets at Wal-Mart left. Trooper Ray reports:
I was on the road the other day and was able to stop at Disney World in Orlando. I was surprised to see that in addition to the three Star Tours figures they also are featuring a Rebel Alliance Bowcaster $20.00, Galactic Empire Rifle $20.00 and a Rebel Alliance Blaster at $15.00, in the Star Tours logo/packageing. The Star Tours figures sell for $10.00 each. It would also appear that Disney will be carrying the complete line of Star Wars including items that I thought were exclusives. As an example they had for sale the new X-Wing and Landspeeder, 12" Ki-Adi-Mundi @ $28.00, the 12" Luke with Tauntaum @ $60, all three of the Cantina figure sets @ $10 each. They also had in stock the 4 new vinyl Character Collectibles (J.Fett, Vader, Luke and Mace Windu) $20.00 each. There prices are a bit higher than the stores but they seem to be getting the newer items earlier than most. The one thing I did not care for is that they will sell any item by the case. I watched a number of cases go out the door. I hope this information will be helpful to those that are forced/choose to buy through ebay or other collectors as it will give you some idea of that Disney is charging. Please feel free to contact me for further information. I hope to be able to stop by again in late October -Ray Klein . kleinr@alltel.net

New Reviews - Darth Maul (Sith Training) & Anakin Skywalker (Tatooine Attack), plus Star Tours images

What do Bret Michaels and Anakin have in common? What do Darth Maul and Michael Jackson have in common? And why would J think it would have been nice for these two new figures to have gotten the decapitation treatment rather than Anakin's Tusken victims? Find out as Spiceowan and I review Wave 6 of Collection 1, just follow this link. To voice your opinion, post it here in the discussion area.

You may also check out our Star Tours images, RX-24 "REX," G2-4T, and R3-D3. Click on the thumbnail to see the full-size image. Reviews of these figures are coming this weekend, along with more images, enjoy!

Internet Headlines for Thursday, August 29
  • Star Tours R4-M9: Now here's a different spin on a droid of the same name. Here is the Star Tours release, featuring new head and aquamarine accents. See the Official Site's 'Cargo Bay' to see details on the first six figures in this special series. Already available are 3 3/4" scale figures of Captain Rex, G2-4T and R3-D3. Then come R4-M9, DL-X2 and WEG-1618. Another three complete the line later this year. Hasbro has also confirmed that this series WILL NOT be made availbale through the Fan Club.
  • Unleased Details - See R2N for visual guides of Vader, Anakin and Padme Unleashed mini-statues.
  • From the Fan Club - Reports at Yakface.com and Tradefederaion.net put some credence in the plausibility of a Holiday version two-pack of C-3PO as Santa and R2-D2 as reindeer to be offered through the Fan Club this holiday season.
  • Reverse-Engineering an Obstacle Course - The latest 'Image Attack' pits Anakin against an invisible and seemingly intangible challenge while navigating through the droid factory on Geonosis. And for a group shot reminiscent of the scene from A New Hope, see the droids, Padme and Anakin in the Lars garage in yesterday's image.
  • If you haven't bought it yet, than it MUST be new! - Deja-Vu! Here are Rebelscum's photo archives of the second Endor Rebel Soldier and Massiff with Tusken Raider.

    Area Report
Spiceowan checking in for northeast Illinois. Lake county has a rogue squadron of X-Wing's at basically every location. Landspeeders are beginning to hit. No sign of the Cantina Packs at any Wal-Marts for me. The Target Accesory Packs have been wiped out of every location they hit.More to come !?! On the figure side of things figures 27-40 are the hottest thing on the market, or the latest pegwarmers but it seems the first 16 may be beginning to fade. The only vehicles on sale are the Slave 1 and the Jedi Starfighter. I have yet to see these blowout sales I read about elsewhere.I haven't seen the deluxe C-3P0 or Yoda either. I believe the reason for this is the shelfs are flooded with the older stuff.Acklay and Landspeeders, along with the newer unleashed figures are leaving shelfs in a hurry.Stores are also slowing down gearing for dare I say Christmas ! This is what a manager of a anonymous TRU told me. Unreal! I thought it was summer . Good Luck out there Troops, Kick A$% and take names !
The last I heard on the Landspeeder hitting Southern Wisconsin was it wasn't ! Their computer shows it not scheduled to arrive at all. Strange when it appears to be everywhere else. Sorry Cheddar-troopers!! spiceowan@sandtroopers.com

K-mart, as usual, had pretty much the same stuff that they've had for the past four months. Finally, the Wal-Mart in Mentor has gotten the Cantina bar sets. Hi Troops! I have noticed recently that KB Toys has been getting the new Teemto and Ki-Adi Mundi figures. I've spotted them in a few locations here in Eastern Washington. Also, The Cantina sets are available at several Wal Marts around here. I hope everyone who wants those has good luck in finding them, as they are definitely worth it. The accesory sets at Target came and went. I missed them all except the Hoth Set. Toys R Us has been dry except for the X-Wing (no sign of the Landspeeder yet). The nearest Kmart had the series 2 Unleashed, but the scalpers were there when the store opened (as they always are - where do they get that kind of time?). Anyway, hang in there and the stuff will come in soon enough. That's it for now. Jedi Hitch Hitchbuddy@aol.com

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you order from Toyfellas.com, you will be treated as a first class collector. I have to say that they are the best company that I have ever ordered action figures from. They communicate well, they voluntarily upgraded my shipping, and packaged the figures very well. They even upgraded my shipping schedule because it took too long to get to Boston! They have multiple grades of figures to choose from - which is a must if you are as picky of a collector as I am. These guys are great and they have gained a customer as long as I continue to collect Star Wars. Thanks guys!!!!! - Jake jake186@attbi.com
I agree Jake, Toyfellas has shown me the same superb service! That's why we recommend the online sources listed in our sponsors section; you should always expect the same level of service from all of these fine establishments.

    Trooper Drew reports:
I've never posted here before, but thought this was pretty cool news. I started collecting with the new Saga figures this April, so I missed out on POTF2, Ep. 1, and POTJ. I'm working my way backwards and found the motherload on POTJ today at St. Matthew's TRU in Louisville, Kentucky. I asked an employee to check the back for any POTJ left (they only had Zutton hanging on the pegs), and he came back with a fresh case. I got Eeth Koth, Amidala Travel, FX-7, Rebel Soldier, and Imperial Officer -- all for $4.99. Be sure to ask the store employee's (some are helpful) and you may get lucky! Happy Hunting! Drew Arnold, New Albany, Indiana arnoldd@horizonresearchint.com
Score one for the good guys! If you need help adding to that collection, you will surely find it here, just let us know if we can be of service! Glad to have you on board!

    Anakin (Tatooine Attack) Paint Error
From Trooper Lex-Wan: "I can't complain too much I did score one of the most highly anticipated Simpson toys of Halloween. I found Anakin today at KB from their shipment last Friday, and there were two hidden deep in the jungle primevil & there is a paint error on one. They didn't apply the belt buckle paint, nor the four dots." Thumbnails provided, click >>HERE<< to see the error detail.

    Trooper Lex-Wan (Tatooine Hermit) reports:
Lex here with some sort of news. I went back to the TRU that told me on Tuesday they will have the Landspeeder on Wednesday & got there to have the same air head tell me "oh they must have been sold cause I don't see them on the shelf," then I said "well is it possible that they were in the back sitting on a pallet of toys & maybe was MISTAKENLY put in locations in your back room?," tru TOOL ---- OH NONO THAT NEVER HAPPENS IT ALWAYS COMES RIGHT TO THE FLOOR (liar)--- So I went to another TRU that was showing they had 18 in stock like every other TRU in this area. They told me in a sarcastic way "well they're here but they're not here, they could possibly be on the truck sitting out back, but God knows when that will be unloaded," man I wanted to rattle his cage. So the moral of the story here is that TRU's in mid east PA have the Landspeeders BUT don't have them and have no idea what the words "customer service" means, just one other reason the only time I ever buy from them is when they have an exclusive, they suck with a capitol S. Thanks for letting me vent. Lex-wan

    Trooper Sith Lord 506 reports:
Hello Troopers,I have been reading Sandtroopers for over a year, but I have never sent anything in. I normally just like to buy Star Wars Stuff for my collection and not trade for anything because it is too hard to decide to part with anything. The one time I did trade with a friend I gave up a first printing of the original Star Wars Sketch Book and I have regretted it ever since. If anyone has one and is willing to part with it please let me know. The main reason I am writing is because I have been out of work for a while and money for things like Star Wars figures is drying up. I am still looking for a few figures to complete some of the older series like the CommTech and EP I collections. I am looking for an EU Leia Organa Solo (from Dark Horse Comics), a CommTech Princess Leia (with hood up), all three of the Wal-mart Excl. Jabba's band sets, EP I TC-14, EP I Darth Sidious (Holo), EP I Sio Bibble, EP I Queen Amidala w/Asscension Gun), Saga figures over #40, the Target Excl. Accessory Sets, the Wal-mart Excl. Cantina Sets, and the TRU Excl. Luke W/Landspeeder. Thanks and May The Force Be With You All, United We Find. SithLord506@aol.com

    A promise is a debt.
For the troopers who asked about the precedence of the droid included with the newly Pod Racer Tempto Pegalies, here I bring the promised shot. The Droids are dropped by a larger craft shown on top, then they do take the bits and pieces from accidented Pods this pieces being picked up belonged to racer Cleg Holdfast Voltec K-T9. It was brought down by The infamous Sebulba after using a flame thrower hidden in his Podracer; The scene was cut and this could serve as a speculation on why Count Dooku has 2 lightsabers; We'll see as soon as the DVD is released. For those questions you might have feel free to give me a holler HERE.

Spiceowan back from the realm of E-Bay bringing to you the best in rarities from the World's Online Marketplace. The Outrider is not the most extint piece in the Star Wars saga but missed by many was this. Package variant hunters look out for the Mexican Four Pack , with that buy it now price he could make the Power Sucka entry as well. One most rare pieces in the vintage collection was this Tie Bomber hard to believe a mini could be one of the toughest pieces to find. I was digging through the Movie Props and found this X-Wing Helmet , very close but I am not sure the paint job is as accurate as it could be.Okay it isn't a Sandtrooper but a good runner up it is.
Allright Troops I had to find one myself but I will use this Sucka as an example. We are looking to serve notice on Sucka's like these. The only other new items (non Star Wars)coming out which have started hitting stores is the Simpson's Treehouse of Horror3 & the Kb exclusive Simpson's 3packs which include Homer as the ingestible Bulk, Edna as Vampiredna,& Apu as Captain Kwik .there both pretty cool the THOH3 was very hard for me to get I don't believe it will be like THOH2 I think the 3rd will be tougher to get, there is only a select few TRU'S that have them instock & they just got them today & very minor quantities if ya want them I suggest ya get crackin cause if they made the same amount of 3's as they did 2's allot of people will probably go with out here's the skn# for THOH3 #545851 so good luck & happy hunting. Trooper Chris reports:
Hey Troops, Chris reporting in here from the Great White North (a very hot Canada right now). In my travels over the last few days I have found the Luke Landspeeders at all three TRUs here in Edmonton and surprisingly enough they have had quite a few of them available. I'm amazed the scalpers haven't taken them yet. I have also seen the 12 inch Mace Windu's. I haven't picked them up yet because I am really only into the 3.75 figures. However, the thought has crossed my mind to pick them up. I do have some other things besides the action figures so it's not like it would be the first time I bought something else. If I had the money I would go to all 3 TRUs buy them all and then keep one for myself and then selling the rest here on Sandtroopers. If only. If anyone wants one let me know and I'd get them for cost plus shipping. Now for my compliant. I have been on Ebay trying to get a Jorg Sacul. Every time I see one for a real price it either has a reserve price, ships to the US only or if they do ship to Canada they want payment by Paypal or Billpoint. I only like using M.O.s because then I know it is payed for. Anyone out there who has a Jorg Sacul that is willing to trade for a TRU landspeeder or at cost plus shipping let me know. I dont mind losing a little on the landspeeder if I can get a Jorg Sacul. Thanks, Chris chris_melissa@shaw.ca

Hi Guys! This is my first time writing to you, although I have been visiting your site daily for the best part of a year and a half. I thought I'd share the Joy with some of your fellow Australian readers (I know you're out there). Today I have seen my first signs of the new stuff arriving in Brisbane; I've spotted Yoda Deluxe at the new Toy World Indooroopilly and Deluxe 3P0 I've seen at some K-Marts but today I picked up a couple of the NEW Action fleet (SWEET!) at my local Big W, so guys it's coming! Thanks guys, and a great site. Although you mainly deal with US and Canadian release dates, your site gives me great indications as to when to expect them down here.
Great Job- keep it coming. shocktrooper@ihug.com.au

Hello my friends, I actually have two reasons for writing. The first is to ask any fellow troopers out there if they might have a Toy Fair Vader for sale. The last thing I want to do is give my money to a scalper on ebay. I also want to know whether there are any collectors around the Horseheads-Corning New York area. If there are, then please e-mail me! I have been getting a little lost in the space of collecting and could help others out there who have the same interests. Besides, its a lot easier to trade with friends who live right down the street compared to right over the ocean. Thanks everyone - Joe Josephkasian@aol.com

    Area Report
Spiceowan checking in for North of Chicago , South of Heaven , better known as Lake County Illinois. No sign of Teemto wave or anything after 40 on the figures. The Landspeeders have landed at TRU, but have eluded me thusfar. The accesory packs have hit in Highland Park, Gurnee, and Waukegan to my knowledge. No luck with the Cantina Packs yet either, the sclaps live at Wal-Mart around here. In-store exclusives seem to be the craze these days ! Remember when they only hit once or twice a year ? I have been quite busy personally so I have been hitting the stores late or less than usual.
Also a special thanks to Trooper Mark Anderson of Arden Hills MN, for the trade recently completed. This guy went the extra mile and made sure we both got a square deal! What the tatooine swap meet is all about, FAIR AND SQUARE United we find !!
Welcome back Uncle George, your amazing talents along with your keen eye will be a helluva welcome back to the pages of Sandtroopers !! ( Nice 45 day retirement huh ?) First off, I'd like to welcome George back to the site. He is great to deal with and has been very cool with me since I've been visiting this site. Also, all of the Ames stores(which there is plenty of in the North East) are closing there doors in the near future. Today started there closing sale and all toys are 20% for now. By this time next week I'm hoping they will be 30%-40% off, then I will stat getting some stuff. I really don't need much, but for those prices it will be worth it. Still no sign of the newer stuff, but it will be here shortly. Thanks, and I'll talk to you all soon.

    Trooper Jedi Chirp reports:
The Greenwood, IN TRU has plenty of X-Wings. Still no Landspeeder or the 12" Luke and Tauntaun. I haven't had any luck finding the new waves with Ki-Adi or Darth Maul, and still no Cantina sets. Good luck. jedichirp@netzero.net

    Trooper Lex-Wan (Jedi Spirit) reports:
And now for the greater mid east PA news: Yes, you've guessed it, the Wal-marts in PA are getting the cantina bar exclusives but the funny thing is I thought all the Super Wal-marts got all new product in first, but not so with these cantina sets, all super Wal-marts in the area had none, just piles & piles of EP2 figs, none higher than #40 in the Saga line. These new sets were at regular Wal-marts only, so if you're having a hard time finding the "Baba bunch" as I like to call them, I suggest abandoning your super Wal-mart & heading for the regular ol' wal-mart - you might have better luck. The only thing I don't like about these new exclusives is that they don't come with weapons, all these guys had blasters in the movie so why no guns? Maybe another politically correct toy from Lucas like the non-smoking Dex. I guess it's not good to show kids that will buy this set of figs, that weapons in a bar is okay, just glasses. Well anyway so be it. As for other stores, everyone else had nothing. I did see the X-wing at TRU but no Luke & Taun Taun or Land speeder. I also saw at TRU they had 6 Ultra Magnus & 4 Optimus Prime "go TF's," so to all I say happy hunting! Lex-wan

    Comics
Hey Troops, no new Star Wars comics this week, actually it has been really slow this month. We haven't had a new comic since the 7th. However, next week we will see Star Wars Infinities: The Empire Strikes Back #2. The first issue was interesting and set up what could be a cool story with Han following Luke's dying wishes and going off to Dagobah to train as a Jedi Knight. I am looking forward to seeing where they are going with that story. I also really enjoyed what I think is the first image (correct me if I'm wrong) of an adult Boba Fett sans helmet. It was pretty cool.

    Trooper Keith reports:
Miracles do happen. A brief report from western Canada - went to all the major outlets in the greater Vancouver area, Wal-Mart as usual had nothing at all but lo and behold at the most unlikely Zellers store I found the Arena and Hoth accessory sets and the Acklay. I Also found the new Land Speeder at TRU. After nothing new since the Bespin Luke wave (which lasted about 2 days) finally things may be picking up. I hope to see Djas Puhr and the Endor soldiers at some point but I won't hold my breath. Is there any info out there about the exclusive TRU Silver R2-D2? And finally If there are any other troopers in the Vancouver area I would be interested in hearing from you. Unite! Keith, epta@telus.net
The Silver-Edition R2-D2, is still something that is likely to be seen as a promotion at TRU in the U.S. (free with purchase). Keep watching for updates. Check out our forums to do even more networking with Troops in western Canada.

Jedi Artwork Series - Now Available
This is the information from Trooper Erich, regarding his artwork which he is now selling, $18 each or set of 3 for $45. Click on the thumbnails to see the full portrait, note that there is a protective watermark present on the digital images. Please use the e-mail link below to contact him

The 1st in the series depicts my two favorite Jedi Masters: Plo Koon and Saesee Tinn awaiting the first strike. Putting these two together just fit. They are two of the more obscure Jedi, and fight back to back on Geonosis.

The 2nd in the series depicts the two main Jedi Characters in Episode ll: the wise Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his cocky apprentice Anakin Skywalker, both standing at the ready. This was a must since the entire story revolves around these two characters. After all, Episodes I through III are all about the downfall of Anakin and Obi-Wan's failure as a teacher.

The 3rd in the series depicts the backbone of the Jedi Council: Yoda, Mace Windu and Ki-Adi-Mundi, blades drawn and ready for battle. I felt these three needed to be together due to the strong Council connection through Episodes I and II.
There are two more pieces to the series that will follow. They will be Luminara, Barrissa and Shack Ti, and finally Kit, Nikto and the Twilek woman. They will be available by the end of the year. Thanks again - Erich Fritz

    Trooper JeffRed5 reports:
Hey Troopers, I was just over at KBtoys.com, since on-line is the only shopping I'll be doing for a while. They have 6 pages of Star Wars toys, most of which is old news by now, except for page 6 which only has one toy, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (PS2) Video game is available for pre-order and will be available on 11/20/02 just in time to buy it and spend all Thanksgiving weekend playing it.
I also wanted to take a moment to thank all the troopers out there for sending me the get well cards and posts showing your support for me and my friend Eric who none of you even know. Our accident was pretty bad, I was driving my Chevy S-10 ZR2 Pick-up on I-75 about 50 miles South of Toledo going about 85 MPH (in a 75 zone) and we went off road and rolled it three times. I was the lucky one and only broke a couple ribs and sprained my neck. My best friend Eric broke his neck and right scapula. We are both in slings and casts, but thanks to everyone's prayers and kind thoughts we are both alive and in a few months we should both be back to normal pretty much. I am really proud to call you all friends and thankful that you were there for us in our time of need. Thank you, and May The Force Be With You Always, Jeffred5@aol.com
Glad to hear that you and Eric are on the mend, we'll all be hoping that both of you have a speedy recovery!

    Troopette Pam reports:
Hi fellow troopers and troopettes! I've never posted before but I just wanted to say that this site rocks! I have learned so much from all of you troopers who write in on a regular basis. It's been great!
Just made another great trade with Frank L. from NY. He and I also traded back in July. This was my first trade ever and I'm glad it was with such a great guy! He's very trustworthy and honest. Thanks Frank! My son is one happy little camper!!!
I was just surfing over at Toys R Us.com and noticed that Ephant Mon had the "usually ships" tag under him rather than the discontinued note, but when I clicked on him he wasn't available. What's up with that? Also, does anyone know who the following figures are: Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones Figure: 84811, and 84625? These are listed at Amazon.com's TRU area and don't have a picture or a description. They also have the "usually ships" tag under their new item symbol, but they are not available either. - Pam
Pam, we're very happy that you heeded the call and wrote in! The figures that correspond with those Item Numbers are Ki-Adi-Mundi (he was slated to be released as 84811, but instead is 84912) and the Number 84625 was associated with a Figure #134 which cannot be traced, but was one of the initial figures released on April 23rd. So you can ignore those entries in their online catalog

Is Hasbro playing "Hard to get" with store exclusives?
Either my Wal-Mart is now scared of Star Wars or they are just resetting for the X-mas season. I haven't seen the new Anakin and Maul (I didn't really care for that one), much less the Cantina sets... I also noticed one thing, employees are dumb as stones when it comes to this stuff. During the Y-wing fiasco of 2000, I went to a Target 80 miles away from where I live. One was built in 2001 when the B-wing came out. Anyway, some of the employees I asked had the nerve to tell me to try Toy R Us. Is it me or does Hasbro want people to kill each other in finding the stuff? I did get the Y-wing but others I know have not. One of your associates was kind enough to help me out - George Collazo. Hasbro should never have made it that difficult to find, coupled to the fact that Target didn't put it on their website. I have never forgiven Target for that mess. Now,I work for them but I am still bitter! Thanks. cryan@ardmore.net

Hello, the Horsehead, NY Walmart store has nothing new, just like the Corning store, with lots of Harry Potter. The KB at Arnot Mall has a small section at the front of the store. TRU has a much smaller section for Starwars, not even the new Land Speeder and X - Wing Fighter yet. Not worth going to this store. That’s it and good luck to everybody else. Well, I finally found the Saga Landspeeder today (8/21)at the great TRU. It is a big improvement over the past release. One little thing I don't like is that it doesn't have any place to put 3PO and R2 on the back like in ANH. Also,I got a message from Wal-Mart.com that the Republic gunship has been pushed back to Aug 30th. I am still keeping that order open. No sign of the Cantina sets yet. A big round of thanks to Jason for slapping me around encouraging me to keeping the faith. Take care. cryan@ardmore.net

Spiceowan is back on the offensive bringing to you some rarities from the world's online marketplace. In my sights this week first is a old variant ,just a sticker varitant but probably one of the first of many to come. Don't get your panties in a bundle! This is straight from the old school. This Old Droid was released when the Star Wars line was on the decline in the late eighties. The seller here guarantees this Jawa is genuine. If not satified run on down to Australia and get your money back from him! This would almost be the ultimate Stormtrooper costume, if you had a orange shoulder pad and a backpack plus a concussion grenade launcher ! Think you have all the Dexter Jettster variants ? Think again. Thanks to Sandtrooper Jason for sending that in. Speaking of sending in there was no Power Sucka this week. We got them running scared Troops ! There must be no Sucka to report ! I doubt it send in those ridiculous listings in to me at spiceowan@sandtroopers.com
and help me exploit the scum trying to take advantage of collectors everywhere. Until next time Troops Kick A%$ and take names !

    Canadian Report!
Well sort of? Actually there's not much new up here in the north lately unless you live near a TRU store. Walmart has been getting diddly squat and Zeller's has been getting limited quantities (like one case per store!) of the deluxe Anakin and Nexus wave and some Acklays.
TRU on the other hand has been getting the 25th Landspeeder & X-wing along with the 12" Luke w/Tauntaun and before the US! They also have the first wave of the unleashed figures. But as far as the basic line goes, noone has seen a Dajs or Palp on a tri-logo card yet along with the later waves. Hasbro is still promiseing we'll see all 52 figures on tri-logo cards this year though. Maybe closer to Christmas then.
Other than that, the Kellogg's Clonetrooper masks have all disappeared from the grocery stores and the cereal boxes containing the cubes are all but gone too. Still a few boxes of Raisin Bran around with them (yuck!). Maybe it's just me but it just doesn't feel the same this time around without all the food promos and stuff. I admit EP 1 was a little over publisized but I think this time it was a little under publisized.
Well take care troops and I'd like to wish Vaughn all the best in his future endeavours. He'll definitely be missed around here.

How Much Would You Pay for Loose Figures?
From Trooper Andy: Soon I'm going to go live with my web site selling loose star wars figures, I've got the stock, around 500 mint and complete loose figures ranging from 1995 POTF2 figures right through to the newest AOTC figures such as Padme Pilot, Anakin Tatooine, Lott Dod, Darth Maul Sith and deluxe Yoda and C-3PO.
What I want to ask all fellow sandtroopers is "How much would you pay for loose figures?"
I ask this so when my site goes live I get the price right. And, how many of you would buy figures from the site if paypal was the only payment method accepted at this time? Many thanks - Andy
Feel free to send Andy an e-mail answering the questions. I have an idea of what I would pay for loose figures, but there are a few other considerations for older and newer figures alike - such as their current availability, either carded or loose.

    Trooper Jedi Neyda Ssor reports:
Howdy, Jedi Neyda Ssor here again, I wanted to show off my latest piece in the Jedi Series. It is Mace, Yoda and Ki-Adi-Mundi, the 3rd in the series. I also wanted to ask for help. I'm looking for the Playskool X-Wing. I have a number of items for trade, or I'll buy it outright. It is the last set my son is missing. It can be in less than mint condition packaging as I will be opening it anyway. Thanks for the help, and may the force be with you. darkravenef@hotmail.com
Neyda, I think your work gets better with each piece! Click on the thumbnail to see the full-size image which features Yoda, Mace and Ki-Adi.

Hey Troops!!! I've seen all the posts about Walmart downsizing there Star Wars toy's...I went to one of my local Walmart's in Clinton,MD today and they had NO figures...They just had a couple of the ships...I asked someone who was in the toy department where they moved the figures to and he said "I don't know maybe they threw them away"...They had a ton of figures the other day and I looked everywhere in the store and no sign of any figure anywhere...I thought maybe they put them in the clearence isle NOTHING I asked a guy in that area and of course he said "I don't know where they are"...I only need 4 more of the original 40...They are the easy to find one's but now i'll have to look at other stores for them I guess...Well that's it for now...PEACE

    Trooper Lex-Wan (Jedi Knight) reports:
Hey, Lex-wan from Allentown, PA here with the Monday afternoon report. The only new stuff in mideast PA was the new unleashed figs at KBtoys. Also any collectors out there in the PA, NY, & NJ area feeling their wallets & pocket books getting bigger with the decline of new product on the shelf, not to worry Newark New Jersey is having a Super Mega Toy Show in less than one month. I've been to this show when it was in NY, it's no Celebration 2 but there will be lots of goodies to grab I'm sure & maybe an autograph or 2. There was about 20 celeb's there last time including Kenny Baker, although the celeb list is still to be announced I'm sure it will be fun & all the collectors that visit Sandtroopers.com & theJawa.com in that area can finally get a chance to meet in person, you can bet the moisture farm your old buddy Lex will be going, it's only an hour from me so hope to see ya at the show.
Other News: The new Simpson celebrity figs Cooder & Sinclair, the only way to get them will be a mail away offer through playmates only & will cost 2 UPC's , 5 bucks, a original receipt & the mail in form which I sent the scan along with this info, the form was printed on regular copy paper the same stuff that's in your printer at work or home I found a small pile of these in plastic taped to the Simpson's shelf at a local TRU I don't know if there the only ones doing it but there's not really a big choice of retailers who sell that stuff - KB, TRU, & Suncoast besides secondary stores at marked up prices ,so the hunt is on for Cooder & Llewellyn Sinclair now ya only have till 10-31-02 so don't dilly dally. Also this weekend TRU's got in the re-release Optimus prime & Ultra Magnus gen 1 figs at 40 bucks each I think I sprained my wrist when I went into my wallet ,but they are awesome figs and its so nostalgic I just had to get them. Lex-wan
Thanks Lex! Everyone can see the ad for this event in the post above

    Trooper JediCor reports:
I am going to start reporting from Corning NY area. I have found a memo laying on a Walmart shelf in the toy department that was talking about down sizing the Starwars showcase. They are making room for the Harry Potter Toys this past week, which the movie is coming out this month. So this is why I haven’t seen any new Star Wars Toys this past month in the area stores, except for the unleashed figures. The memo also said that they aren’t bringing out any new Star Wars toys until September 30th , that’s when they will down size Harry Potter and make the Star Wars section bigger again for the fall season till Christmas! JediCor
Welcome JediCor! It is great to have you on board and good to see a fellow NY-er too. I encourage ALL READERS to send in the store toys! Every report helps your fellow collectors find what they need! Let's see how many new reporters we can get in the coming weeks - just mention that you are new to this, and you'll get your Kudos! - J.

A Look at HASBRO figures and their new contest

The future waves of basic figures look promising (albeit occupied by one set that is a total repack), so take a look at the large pictures of Clone Trooper - Republic Gunship Pilot, Jango Fett - Slave 1 Pilot, Destroyer Droid - Arena Battle, Lott Dodd - Neimodian Senator, and Tusken Raider with Massiff, all at Hasbro's Bounty Hunter Collectors' Area.
I've been disillusioned and disappointed by some of the recent offerings in the basic line (Maul Sith and Anakin Tatooine), but the look of this set renews my interest.
Interact : Go to this thread in the Forums to post your thoughts: Out of the Five, how do you rank them?, what do you think in general?, is this the kind of quality of product you want to see more of?

8/19: And, Hasbro has launched a new contest, looking for kid collectors between four and fourteen. Prizes include a complete set of Hasbro 2003 STAR WARS EPISODE II 3.75-inch basic action figures (to be determined by Hasbro), a JORG SACUL action figure and a Hasbro STAR WARS EPISODE II action figure poster. Click here for the details. Thanks to Count Matchew for the contest info.

    Trooper Larry reports:
Hey Troops, I was back at TRU in Mentor, Ohio today, the X-wings I mentioned in my earlier post were gone, my luck. The manager said they may be getting some more in on the next shipment, maybe we'll see the new Land speeder too. The Wal-marts out this way have also down-sized their shelves. No sign of the new Cantina bar figures, nor any new Saga figures. Thats all for now. If any info on parts (I'm looking for any site that might sell parts for a vintage Y-wing: a canopy, and the plastic pieces that extend from the thrusters) e-mail me at AmishBelchJr@msn.com. Happy hunting!

The second wave of Unleashed figures have hit both TRU and KB in Southern California. The Vader looks awesome. Didn't care much for the Anakin and Padme. Also at KB, another shipment of the Playskool Arena Adventure set with Mace and shipment of the Action Fleet Vehicles. Have not seen any new basic figures since I found Teemto and Ki-Adi over a month ago. Happy Hunting to all. Theloneswlady@aol.com

Greetings from MN. I would like send my best wishes to Hamyoyo and Jeffred for a speedy recovery. I have done business with both of the them. They are a pleasure to do business with and I hope to do more business with them in the future. I would also like to thank Erich Fritz a.k.a darkraven and Steve Vyfvinkel for the recent help in adding some hard to find figures to my collection. Another big thank you to my main man in Oklahoma, Mike Coszalter, for another awesome trade. I just got back from a trip to Chicago and I stopped at several Wal-marts in Wisconsin along the way.

There was nothing new at the stores in Menominee, Janesville, Beloit, and Lake Delton. I found a large number of Cantina Bar Sets at the store in Eau Claire. So hopefully they should start showing up soon all over the upper Midwest. There were X-Wings at the TRU in Woodbury, MN and the TRU on Butterfield Rd. near Oakbrook, IL. No sign of landspeeders. I am currently looking for a falumpaset if !
anyone can help me out. Until next time, Mark.

Just thought I would let everyone know that I found the Anakin Tatooine Attack and Darth Maul Sith Training today at my local KB in Hemet, Ca. They had about 3 of each left when I left @ 5:30 pm. I was also able to land the Yoda deluxe. So keep your eyes open. Also, I have an extra MOMC Saga Yoda figure that I am looking to trade. I need the new sculpt Endor Soldier, or if anyone has had any luck even finding Watto, Tusken w/ Massiff, or Padme. I know a lot of people are still looking for Yoda, so if I cannot find anyone to trade with, I will sell at cost plus shipping. First offer will get it. If someone has access to, or has an extra Acklay, I would like to work something out for that as well. Email me if anyone has something. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

    Swamptroopers Report
    Hey there people!!
First of all I would like to thank everyone who remembered my B-Day yesterday and sent me emails, I have made lots of friends as a direct result of this site. The only new thing to report down here in the West NIle capital of the world is that the TRU X-Wing and Landspeeders have arrived. Still have not seen the Acklay or any waves after the Endor Han wave...what's up with that? Sometimes it just takes a while I guess. All of the Wal-Marts have relocated their Star Wars merchandise to an end cap and a small portion of one Isle but no price cuts as of yet...still $5.00 a fig. Thats about it. I will be out of town for two weeks starting Sunday. I will be at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, Georgia in a Fraud and Financial Training Class. If any trooper lives close to Brunswick and would like to give me a tour, email me before Sunday with your phone number. Thats all for now,

My fellow Troops & Troopetts nothing real great to report, the only new thing is that Kmarts are having a sale (another one, would be nice if they got some new stuff in for a sale huh?) Aug 15th through Aug 17th - buy a Star Wars fig an get 50% off second one. WOW do ya think they gave them selves enough of a window 15-17? My local Kmart dept manager said that this was only for 3 3/4 inch figs, but she put on sale all SW merchandise , so you might wanna check out your local Kmart to see what goodies you can get on sale. Other than that pretty dried up here, like a pimple on an ant eater. Lex-wan

My job is requiring too much of me for me to pursue this hobby any longer. I've had quite a lot of fun here and have met many interesting people. Throughout the next month or so, I'll be placing approximately 1,500 items on Ebay under the name of "katnippkom" as I really need the money for my family's relocation. I've acquired many hard to find items in the past and now hopefully I can help you guys fulfill some of the missing items in your collections. Spiceowan here to drop a brief area report on the Troops serving the N. Illinois and S. Wisconsin area. There seems to be nothing hitting as far as the Teemto wave is concerned. The newest thing I have found is the Jango room alarm, which I passed on . However I did make progress on the Landspeeders. I was told this a.m. that they ARE in fact in the Chicago warehouse so that means they should be shipping soon. That's it for now Troops, Kick A$% and take names!

New Reviews by J. and Spice in our Reviews Area for a good laugh. This time it is the Collection 2, Wave 6 Figures (Ki-Adi-Mundi and Teemto Pagalies). And for the sake of pointless nostalgia, it's a look back at the flood of April 23rd figures, with reviews of Anakin Skywalker - Outland Peasant Disguise, and Padme Amidala - Arena Escape. This segment is the first of our new format in which we argue back and forth ala Ebert & Roeper. We'll be going through the remainder of the 27 initial releases in the coming weeks, alongside the new product as it is released.

New Pics at Hasbro official site
I was at the official site and found a shot of Luke on his Taun taun coming soon to your local TRU . I also found this image of Greedo deluxe soon to be showing at Wal-Marts along with Hammerhead and Ponda Baba . You can bet this little droid will be on the lists of major sclapers throughout the country. New Padme and Watto will be seeing the pegs soon too. Don't forget about Ki Adi Mundi at the end of the month available exclusive to the Fan Club. There is also newer 12 inch and action fleet there as well for your viewing pleasure . Enjoy seems we have much to look forward to in the future . I also confimed as of this morning there are no Landspeeders in the Chicago Tru warehouse. So don't break your neck looking if you're in the Tri-State area. Until next time Troops, Kick A&^ and take names!

I have been looking for this for the past month. No sign of the Landspeeder yet. Happy Hunting.

    Area Report
Spiceowan checking in for Northern Illinois and Southeast Wisconsin. There has been a lot of the same everywhere lately but the figures still keep coming. I have even seen Dooku and others dare I say warming pegs ! The Playschool Falcon had landed at the KB Toyworks in Kenosha Wis., along with another batch of Red and Yellow Clonetroopers. The Target stores throughout the area have also been getting many Acklay's now. I have only seen the Accesory sets once now and that is it so the scalps living in the parking lots must be taking them . No sign of the Landspeeder at any of the area TRU. K-Mart has been gettin restocked with the usual assortment of jack squat. I haven't seen Teemto wave anywhere yet not to say it hasn't hit I have been getting out late.
On a personal note I'd like to wish our wounded Troops Jeff Red5 and Ham Yoyo a speedy recovery to them both and I hope to see you guys posting again real soon. Finally, my little Trooper Caleb celebrated his 6th birthday! That's it for now Troops Kick A%$ and take names!

I went to my local Wal Mart in Fayetteville Arkansas, and to my surprise, I found 2 Action Fleet TIE Advance (Vader's) and a Unleashed Jango/Boba. I was hoping they would've had the Vader, but no luck. This wal-mart had about 10 to 15 of the pegwarmer POTJ Bespin Guard, Sabe`, Ellors Maddak-Duros, Ketwol, and a few others. They had many SAGA Palpetine Supreme Chancellor, SAGA Qui-Gon Jinn Jedi Master, and a bunch of the AOTC Plo koon, no inserts. There was also many Bespin Duel SAGA Luke's with plastic peg, and many Djas, Rebel Endor Soldiers, and Han Solo's whit and grey tab Endor Raid's. Is anyone needing any SAGA Plo Koons? I heard rumors that he's become a hard to find.

Also, has any Lott Dod's and clean Endor Rebel Soldiers been found in stores?

Everyone give me some time to heal and I'll be back in the swing of things!!!!

Changes and New stuff at BJ's Action Figures:
The new Star Wars Saga figures are here and available at our online store for only $8.99 each. We also have non mint figures listed for $7.99.

We are now also accepting American Express.

In an effort to get the newest figures to you at a better price, we have lowered our prices on our figures and made shipping in a Star Case a separate purchase. If you would like your figure shipped in a Star Case it will be the same price as it was before, but you will need to purchase the number of Star Cases needed at the top of the Saga 3 3/4 inch figure page. We hope that this will help those of you who dont want the Star Cases, and your feedback is always welcome.

Troops I have recieved alot of emails about the Imp. Officers that I found at the Greenwood, Indiana TRU yesterday. I stopped today after work and they are now gone but they still have alot of Zutton and Eeth Koth figs. I also asked about the Silver Anniversary R2D2 and he wouldn't give out any info. They also don't think that they will be getting any of the Playschool sets. And this last bit of info that he gave me kind of shocked me. He said that the Hasbro reps will be coming in on Monday to recall some of the Star Wars figures. Hasbro would not tell him which ones. Has anyone else heard of this? thats all for now

    Trooper Trace Reports:
Just wanted to let everyone know that Trooper Frank (fbljr1@juno.com) is a great trader. He is a man of his word and his package arrived promptly. He's also great at packing the toys to arrive safely. Incredible. Trade with this guy and expect quality. BTW, I saw the 12" Ki Adi Mundi last night. This definitely makes up for the Saga 12" Mace. If anyone has one, I'd love to trade. Email me with lists of what you are looking for.

Today I stoped by a local toys r us, and was surprised too see the new landspeeder with luke. There were 6 of them, along with 4 new x-wings. I just thought I'd pass this info along so people can be on the look out for these, since I had not seen reports that this item was out already. The detail on the new landspeeder is remarkable. The old lanspeeder does not compare. The price was $19.99+tax

Hey troops. I found some older figs that still may have some interest
to you. I was at the Greenwood, Indiana TRU today to look for the
X-wing and stumbled on to some interesting figs. They didn't have the
X-wing but they had recieved a huge shipment of the Zutton/Eath Koth
wave...I picked up 2 Imperial Officers for my Ultarama but I didn't need anything else...I haven't seen these figs around here in quite a while so if you need them just let me know and I will run by there this weekend...they had at least 30 Zutton, about 15 Eath Koth, 15 Amidala, and 20 Imperial Officers...they still had the $4.99 price tags unfortunately.

    Trooper Chris Reports:
First off I would like to thank those troopers out there who responded to my R2 D2 issue that I had. Although I havent emailed anyone yet about getting one for me,I am still in need of one. I just have to get the money for it first. So for those troopers out there who did respond, hang on to an R2 for me please I will respond within a week. I went out to one of the Zeller's here in Edmonton, Canada, I found some of the Deluxe Mace Windu's with the Red Battle Droids with the red backing. The also had some inserts in them.I also found a Deluxe Obi Wan with an insert and one with out. If I had the money I would have gotten them. I think they will be there for awhile because they are at a very low visited Zeller's.

I had also found the variant Zam Wessel with the Gun sticker or what ever it is(not face reveal). Does anyone think that $20 US for a Jorg Sacul is too much. It would probably translate to about $40 Cdn after shipping and such. Does anyone know where I can find a Jorg Sacul for a deent price besides EBAY. Those prices are far too steep for me. Lastly has anyone tried Kebco's one of every figure club and if so have you had any problems with it.

    Force of the Bay
Spiceowan reporting in from the shady but helpful realm called E-Bay. I really wasn't going for the thousand dollar wallet busters. They are still rare and not on your everyday clearance rack. These two loose figures are not the most common and it doesn't hurt to kill two birds with one stone. This Hoth Playset shows us that Hasbro didn't invent resculps Kenner did. Tri-logo wrap this Sandskimmer never made it into my collection. There goes another one I personally have never seen. Even though Brians Toys probably has 20 in stock. I also found this Speederbike , that I do not think any of us could ride but wish we had at age 7 .

    Swamptroopers Report
    Hello everyone!
Well, things are really heating up here in Baton Rouge and it is keeping me really busy. Between fighting off the skeeters carrying the West Nile Virus(Louisiana now leads the Nation in cases and deaths as a result of this virus) and all the time I have been putting in at work as a result of the serial killer we now have stalking the streets of Baton Rouge...I havent had too much time to hunt for the latest figs. I did, however, find one red battle droid accessory pack at Target along with the new mirco machine X-Wing, Falcon and Tie Bomber. Also, they now have micro machine action packs much like the battle packs of years ago...in fact almost identical....what the hell was Hasbro thinking? Anyway, there are plenty of the Deluxe Mace Windu figs with the Red Battle Droid variations for those who care. Nothing new anywhere else, I was told by the toy dept. Mgr. of the Wal-Mart on Siegen Lane that all there Star Wars toys were going on clearance, she did not give me specific prices but she told me she would call me as soon as she knows (She is a personal friend) and I will keep you posted on that. I will try to keep these reports coming when ever I get free time!! Keep the people of Baton Rouge in your prayers and ask the almighty to help us find the sick @#$%GT%%$# killing my neighbors. (for those who still believe)
    Thanks Troops!!!

    Trooper Frank Reports:
NEWS FLASH ON "STAR TOURS" FIGURES! I just got off the phone with a woman from W.D.W. in Florida at 407-363-6200. She tells me they are ONLY taking backorders for all 4 figures at this time over the phone, and it is NOT guaranteed i will get any! She said it has not even been confirmed that they will be allowed to ship any figures by mail order! She said they will make that decision by late SEPT., and if they do, the earliest i would get any figures would be in OCT. They would start to ship them in the order that they came in and it's probable that not everyone will get them. They are currently being sold at the park, and she said they want to be able to have as many of them available to their customers, so everyone who comes in will have an opportunity to buy them. They are afraid if they start selling them by mail order now they will all be sold out. Isn't that a GOOD thing for them!? Anyway the RX-24, G2-4T, R3-D3 were $10 each. The last figure was $12, but on her screen it was listed as DLX, not DL-X2. I'm sure it's the same figure. I was charged $10.95 for shipping.

    Trooper Frank Reports:
HEY EVERYONE! I was in a TRU last night in Long Island, N.Y. and picked up the Deluxe Mace Windu with Battle Droid, because it was odd looking. The Droid was TAN but the picture of him in the top corner & on the back of the card shows him RED. I know in the new versions of this set he's going to be red, but i haven't seen any yet. This seems to be a "transition" figure. It was the only one, they had about 10 of the original version. Has anyone else seen this mismatch? Is this common or hard to find. Is it considered an error or a variation? Someone please let me know! FYI they also had 4 of the Muppets Beaker Lab Sets their, i picked up 1, really cool looking for $20 bucks!
    fbljr1@juno.com

I too picked up one of the transition cards at a TRU. They are out there just in short supply. Of the three variations (Brown, Brown on Red, Red) I would probably label this one as the rarest since they are using them on the little bit of extra brown droids that they may have had left over before the switch to the new red ones.

    Trooper Evan reports:
Found all of the accessory packs (in Wilmington, DE), they had about three of each, but only one Jedi one. Review:

    Star Wars Pack:

Not bad, I like the pull back mouse droid. Not happy that the Torture Droid does not come off the stand, since it is the correct size (the original was made from two R2-D2 heads put together.) Nice to get the figure if you missed out on the first one, but the paint jobs were pretty poor.

    Hoth Pack:

Big dissapointment with the fact that the little tank droid's treads don't move at all, this would have been simple (they can do it for crappy Robocop figures, why not this?) The masks are the same as the Mynock Hunt set, the figure is lame (and poorly painted.) Eh.

    Jedi Pack:

This one is pretty cool - you get a really nice coat, the drum set and sticks, spare AT-ST helmet for Han, Rebel helmet. The Biker Scout's waist area is on backwards as noted before, but it acutally isn't too noticable. He is the dirty version.

    Clones Pack:

Have not opened it yet, but it's nice to have another red battle droid to go with the Mace one. Space Jango helmet and blasters, handcuffs, missile backback.

    The Force of the Bay
Fall in Troops, Spiceowan is back with a early edition of Force of the Bay. I came across some items that I have never seen, check out this Falcon , I really don't see $1200 bucks but rare it is. This Grand Moff Tarkin would fall into the unique category more than rare. Dig deep and maybe you can have a Professor of your own . I think it would be great if you had a Chewie outfit and an old fishing net. I ran into this vintage rarity, NEVER even heard of one of these , those lucky Canadians ! I apoligize for a couple of these ending already, for other duty has called lately. I have felt a great disturbance on the Bay. I seem to have discovered a potential Power Sucka , I need your help on this one Troopers. This Luke Bespin Duel seems to be what the seller states. Upon inspection of the photo it would appear he left his glue and heat gun cord on the left side of the photo ! I'd like to hear what the Troops have to say. Send reply to Spiceowan@sandtroopers.com . What do YOU think fraud or amazing find ? Until then Troops, Kick A$% and take names.

Hi Troops, Donna from So. Cal. here. Went to my first ComicCon in San Diego on Saturday. Had a great time looking at the Hasbro booth and seeing all these people dress up in Star Wars gear. Saw plenty of Stormtroopers, Biker Scouts, Boba Fetts, and a few Vadars, Red Guards, Obi's, and one Amidala, Zam, Tie Fighter, Clonetrooper and Tuskin Raider. Saw Peter Mayhew and heard David Prowse and Ray Park were there. On the toy hunting side, the only new item I found was the Deluxe C3PO at Target. No sign yet of the Accessory sets or Action Fleet sets. Also have not found the Playskool Falcon yet. Happy Hunting to all.

While I was there I stopped at a new Wal-Mart that was just built close to Perdido and found the Acklay...Finally!! I still have not seen it here in Baton Rouge. Still no sign of the Mundi Wave and Deluxe Yoda but I have a few more places to look today, I will report what I find. Have a good week everyone!!

    Trooper Chad reports:
    Hi,
I have great news for people who are unable to get down to the Disney parks to obtain the Star Tours figures. Rebelscum has reported that Disney's mail order service "Delivears" is taking orders for the figures. They only have the first 2.The phone number is 1-800-362-4533. It my take you a while to get a hold of anyone but I think it's worth it. I ordered 2 sets for 45 bucks. Way cheaper then Planet Action Figure. Also,in FAO news. I got 2 confirmations in the mail from FAO regarding the shuttle. It looks like it's a go. Take care people.

Thanks to Trooper SithJohn for the correction to the phone number

    Think you have it all?

I found this item on E-bay today, never saw it before! Enjoy!

"This 9 1\2" tall windup walking C-3PO toy was made in Japan in 1997 by a company called Osaka Tin Toy Institute. This is officially licensed by Lucasfilm and is mint in the original box with the winding key included. The box has some neat Star Wars C-3PO photo artwork on the front and sides as well as a space scene inside the box. When you wind him up he walks and his arms move. His body, arms, and legs are made out of litho tin. His head is made of brass. This is a very neat limited edition toy that comes with a numbered identification card. I believe they only made 5,000 of these toys and many of them were sold on the Japanese market. A few high end stores in the U.S. carried them and they usually retailed for about $150.00 back in 1997. My reserve is lower than the original price! The toy is in mint condition. The box has a couple of little shelf wear spots on the ends but is in fantastic shape overall with no dents or creases. This was the first piece in the series of Star Wars themed tin windup toys that Osaka manufactured. After this they manufactured Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Boba Fett, and R2-D2 pieces. These have been out of production for quite a few years..."

Question of thre day: "What happened to Padme?"
Hey Troops, I received an interesting query from one of our great readers and I'd like to share the Q&A with all, right here:
    "Hey Jason,
I was wondering if Hasbro already cancelled the Padme Pilot figure. I look on Amazon.com and it said the item was out of stock. Hasbro has had a nack of cancelling figures at the last minute. Does this Padme figure still exist. I did find the Accessory packs at Target, although I had to make a trek up to TN to find them. Thanks."

I did a little investigating and here is where the Padme figure stands:
    1. Here is the StarWars.com Cargo Bay release information which puts this figure at a 7/15 release that has already gone by. 84904 is the Item Number and she will be part of Collection 1.
    2. Some other information sees September as the release time: 84904 Padme Amidala, Coruscant Attack August/September. This is from Hasbro and there is a nice photo showing Padme with the Quick-Draw Action, “Exploding” Radar Dish, Blaster Pistol, and Pilot Helmet.
    3. Remember that there has been a lot "Out of Stock" description at Amazon. Many of the upcoming and even current figures (e.g. Djas Puhr) are showing as "out of stock," so don't let their inventory listings get you worried! Padme should hit the shelves within six to eight weeks. - J.
Thanks to our vigilante viewer, and if you'd like to be credited for the question, just drop me another e-mail!

    Hey Star Warriors,
I went to the Hasbro Website www.starwars.hasbro.com today and found a list of most of the "Exclusives" available now and in the near future. One thing on the list is a "Jedi Starfighter With Obi-Wan Kenobi Pilot" as a K-B exclusive. Has anyone out there seen one of these or heard anything about it?
    Jeffred5@Jedichris.net

This is simply a repack of the jedi starfighter with obi-wan pilot figure. Ive heard that a repack of Jango with Slave I is also in the works.
