Hasbro Q & A Session: Is Late better than Never?
Latest Q&A from HasbroWe have received our second batch of questions for the year 2011, but we might not have the next round since we were at San Diego Comic-Con when the last set was due. However we have plenty of Star Wars news, and you Troopers might need a couple weeks extra to think up some new questions to fire at the Q & A team. They did reply to the following: "Do you have any plans for more "Ultimate Battlepacks"? Would love to see: full Cantina? Reb/Imp hangar? Jabbas court or barge?" Or how about "We saw the response regarding distribution, how can you really say that? Most clerks don't know the difference between Clone Wars, Saga Legends and Vintage. Why can't Saga Legends have a shorter shelf life since they've been on the shelf before? If you guys can't see that all the "crap" keeps new product from flowing in, is that being honest?" If you have one you have been sitting on this year, please visit the forums and no doubt you'll like the answer to the second question! United We Find.

Mos Eisley News Brief: Karing 4 Karin!
We care and so should you!Last month Sandtroopers.com was honored to take part and lend assistance to a fellow Star Wars fan. Some of you have met Mark Barbain at the Official Pix booth at several Star Wars Celebrations and last year at C2E2. After being asked to help out with donations for a benefit at Austin's Fuel Room in Libertyville, IL by none other than Daniel Logan himself, we couldn't help but to do all we could to help enrich the stockpile of collectibles and sports memorabilia. Mark's wife has multiple sclerosis and there's no doubt the medical bills can pile up quick with a family of five. How could we not lend a hand to a fellow Star Wars fan that lives less than twenty minutes from my home? For more, check out the small photo gallery and we will indeed keep our ground forces informed if indeed a second benefit takes place in the future. United We Find!

Right where I should be!In all my travels to the many conventions over the years I have never seen anything quite like a Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con. We were able to put together another great photo gallery from the floor on Saturday. We managed to meet many Star Wars authors at Del Rey, and Dave Filoni was great with all the fans at the Hasbro booth. Dewback Patrol: Video Removed
We were asked this morning to remove our video of the Her Universe fashion show, and being a fan and friend of Ashley Eckstein I was compelled to accomadate her request...

"I noticed on your site that you have a video of the fashion show Gentle Giant put on at Comic-Con. We agreed to offer them some of our Her Universe line for their fashion show and Ashley would help out in advance. However, when we got there to their booth, we had no idea that the models would be dressed as they were. We in no way can endorse nor approve of the way the girls are represented in the Gentle Giant Fashion Show. It is NOT a Her Universe fashion show. Could you please pull the video of the Gentle Giant Fashion Show and let fans know that Her Universe did not organize nor plan this show? Ashley is associated with a family friendly show, The Clone Wars, and she nor Lucasfilm would have approved in advance the way the girls are dressed."

Mos Eisley News Brief: A Moment of Silence...
Our friends at Imperialshipyards.net have passed along this tragic news.

"Some of you have probably heard of the passing of Mike Martinez of Mercury Art Studios from a head on collision with a drunk driver last night. He was an avid Star Wars Fan and Customizer and is fairly well known on most Star Wars Forums. He has left behind a fiance and daughter with the fiancé expecting another child. Needless to say the family is going to need some funds so we have organized a Charity Drive through Imperialshipyards.net. Right now we have a paypal address you can make direct donations as well as an auction for a Gentle Giant Clone Trooper classics bust. We are also organizing a few other auctions that we will be releasing details about in this same forum thread.

We also just interviewed Mike on our developing podcast called Custom Action Figure News this past Thursday. He talks about his love of Star Wars and customizing figures from said film."

"It is indeed a sad story and yet again another cause for Star Wars Fans to rally around. His fiance is also keeping his Facebook profile called Mercury Art Studios going for the time being and that seems to be the best place for those who wish to leave the family their condolences."
