“Well, times are beginning to change in the Inland Empire. Results have been positive, and quantities are aplenty. On a tip by Trooper Jesse, I went to the Temecula KB yesterday afternoon and was in disbelief to see that their pegs were stocked full of the blue CloneTtrooper 3-packs and the Mustafar Sentry figure! I would say that there were 30 of them on the shelves, and there were about 8 unopened cases with what appeared to have 2 of each in each case. All I have to say is, these are elusive no more. I believe these to be the next pegwarmer. The figure is similar to a Geonosian Warrior in that the body appears similar, but these guys are wearing armor/gowns. Anyways, plenty of them out here so be sure to check your local KB stores. Earlier in the week, I was able to score the Obi Pilot wave, the Zett Jukasa wave, the green clone commander, shock trooper, and the black clone pilot. Keep lookin’ guys, they are out there!”chicanodom@msn.com |
“An eventful twenty-four hours here in Northeast Illinois as four different stores came through in a big way. On Wednesday's lunchtime run at the Quarry Shopping Center in LaGrange (Hodgkins/Countryside), Target had multiples of Zett, Antilles, and Utaupan Warrior, while Wal-Mart there had only Obi-Wan pilots. On my trip home, a stop at Target in Waukegan brought two red-coat Royal Guards, with the same Zett wave bristling from the pegs. With momentum on our side, Darth Spice and I made a late-night trip to Super Wal-Mart in Antioch where we were met by the antithesis of the stereotypical department store floor stocker. Already two cases stocked on the pegs, a lady asked what we were looking for. She came through in a big way, bringing out eight cases and opening them for us. The AT-RT Drivers and green-trim Clone Commanders that had eluded me earlier were in good supply, while, out of all eight cases, only a single peppermint-deco Number 6 Clone Trooper was shipped. Walking out with the figures and eight empty cases, the sight of the cart rallied employees to inspect the contents twice before making it out of the store. I took a look once again today at the Quarry and Wal-Mart had stocked even more cases, but with very few Commanders and AT-RT Drivers remaining.”jason.meyers@gm.com |

LucasArts has recently released the first video trailer for the upcoming game "Empire at War." If you think you've played some great Star Wars video games in the past, just wait until you take command of your empire in this game! The graphics look absolutely intense, and you can lead your forces into battle on the ground and up in space. One of the best features of this game is the ability to use the Death Star to obliterate the Rebellion (if you decide to play as the Empire). This game will be available sometime in February next year, but you can pre-order this now at StarWarsShop.com. Go to the official "Empire at War" website to view the trailer for yourself. |

Hey Troopers, I wanted to let you know that we have received more customs images from Commander JediSearch (sixteen images to be exact!), and his page has now been updated with those images. His three new customs involve a Clone Pilot and two different Clone Troopers. The Clone Pilot has been assigned the name of Lt. Sea Serpen, one Clone Trooper has been named Commander JediSearch (go figure!), and the other has been named Corporal SureShot. You can check out his updated customs page here, and be sure to leave him feedback over in our forums. |
HothChad from Central Minnesota. It has been a good last couple of days up here. Yesterday I found figures #45-53 at Target. Today my wife found the blue clone 3-pack at another Target. She said it looked like Target had reset their shelves for the new season. It seems she is always able to find me new stuff when I can't. Thanks Barb. Wal-Marts are pretty slim pickins for anything new. Thanks to Trooper KBlack1996 for his willingness to help me find stuff when it was slow around my neck of the woods. I am also gad to help out fellow trooper Laura with some new finds. Until next time HothChad out."chadbarb@sherbtel.net |
"Happy Birthday Sandtroopers.com, the best site in the galaxy!!! To celebrate, check out your local KB Toys, I just scored the Shock Trooper, Green Clone Commander, Bacara & AT-RT Trooper! They were a bit pricey at $6.99 each plus tax though. That's all from Central Texas, starfox signing off..."starfox@sandtroopers.com |

Wouldn't it be cool if you were able to have a real lightsaber, like the ones they used in the original Star Wars films? Well, now's your chance! Gary Kurtz, the man who helped produce Episodes IV and V, is selling off the original lightsabers that were used by Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, and these are expected to go for about $60,000 each. He is also selling over 70 other collectible items including Harrison Ford's leather jacket from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, which is expected to fetch about $50,000. You can bid on these items in person or by heading over to eBay Live Auctions. Read the full story here. |

Mark your calendars Troopers, because November 1st will be a day you won't want to forget! Lucasfilm Ltd. announced yesterday that they will be releasing Revenge of the Sith on DVD that day, and they will also be releasing the highly anticipated sequel to one of the best Star Wars video games ever... Star Wars: Battlefront II. The DVD set will include two DVD discs, and will be jam-packed with all sorts of extra greatness like behind-the scenes footage, deleted scenes, featurettes on movie stunts, and much more. “Been awhile since I posted but I have been busy trying to build a new backyard. Southern California stores have been pretty bare recently, but a small surge in product has hit the Wal-Mart’s and Target in Murrieta. The Lake Elsinore Wal-Mart has been reduced to a single end cap with only 6 pegs reserved for basic figs, the rest for light sabers and Vader masks. Very disappointing and somewhat alarming. The Target in Menifee has been bare for over a month. I heard from one of the workers in that dept. that the dept manager was out on family leave and might be out for a few more weeks; hence the reason for the dilapidated section. It may be awhile before we see a change. There was the Zett wave with many Bacara's, and Black Clone Pilots (one of my top 3 favorites from this line - and it is a re-hash!) I also saw the Vader Evolution set and the battle pack with Asajj and Obi-wan w/ storm trooper disguise. There were plenty of 500th Vader figures at Target as well. I have seen the Unleashed Vader wave once but all were in pretty bad shape. I am on the lookout for the Obi-Wan Pilot, Turbo Tank Driver, Shock Trooper, and the green Clone Commander. Send me an email if someone can help me out with these. I have an extra black clone pilot and more. Good luck and keep hunting!”chicanodom@msn.com |
“Well, sorry ya’ll haven't heard from me in a while, we moved and now my car is dead so, a wee off for me! (Thank God I have vacation time) Up until my car decided to crap out I was actively hunting. Here is what I've found: Neimoidian Warriors! Yep, you want to build an army of spineless whiners? Hit your local Target, Wal-Mart and TRU and K-Mart and... Wookiee Warriors! Not spineless, but just as plentiful! But the shedding, not worth it. Clone Pilots! Sorry, we're out of ships, uh...just ya know, uh...stand there. Even with 3 pilots per ARC-170, there is probably a line in the hanger. AND THATS IT!!!! Aside from finding the Kit Fisto Galactic Heroes, the stores around here seem to be saying Star WHAT? But don't worry kids, there's plenty of pegs of Ultra-Scuba-Ninja-Stealth-Neon-Pink-Muffin-Baker Batman figures from Batman Begins...so, yipee! sigh, I wish it was April again..”dhinrichs75@yahoo.com |
“Troops, finally found new products in Southeast Wisconsin, braving the border from Illinois. Target in Kenosha, WI received a shipment of Wookiee Flyers and BARC Speeders (many Flyers), while K-Mart in Kenosha had a handful of 500th Darth Vaders on the shelf. Other than that, you are hard pressed to find anything new right now. I had headed to K-Mart in Zion, IL looking for the banged-up Evolutions Anakin set that Trooper Dennis of Waukegan had reported, and couldn't believe that there was another soul who'd throw down twenty-five dollars. The result? I wait for another shipment! Keep Troopin' fellow Troopers; the lean times will be a memory in no time (especially when September rolls around for Christmas resets and, better yet, when November brings more product against the DVD release!). Dead Hero signing off!”jason.meyers@gm.com |
Perhaps one of the greatest of the Star Wars lines outside of the Action Figures are Gentle Giant Ltd. Products. The mini-busts are a great cost-effective way of having an interesting piece to brag about when friends stop by. The latest trend among the releases have been scale models from the Star Wars Trilogy. We featured Darth Vader not too long ago. Now we present the Dewback and Sandtrooper courtesy of Big Bad Toy Store, where this item is no longer available, but not immune to a restock possibly. Thanks to Staff member Boba Binks for the layout and click through to see one of fifteen hundered! |

“HothChad from Central Minnesota. Hit a few stores today and here is what I found: Nothing new at Wal-Mart's and Kmart. Did find a Captain Antilles, Utopian warrior and Ask Aak at a Target. I talked to a stockman at the Target to see if they had anything in the back and his reply was that they were discontinuing the line and were clearing out some stock. I didn't say much other than "Oh Really". We all know that is not the case, I don't know where he came up with that idea. Other than that is has been really slow up here in the Northwood's. HothChad out.”chadbarb@sherbtel.net |

“Hello, I am looking for 2 figures. The AT-RT driver and some of the Clone repaints. It will be very difficult to find these when they hit my area eventually. I will pay cost and shipping for them. Thanks. Happy Birthday Sandtroopers.com, and many more!”c-ryan@mchsi.com |

Our first lady of Sandtroopers.com SoCal Donna was kind enough to snap some photos of the Sand Diego Comic Con. With a show of this magnitude we will take every angle we can get of it. We will look forward to the expanded S.C.A.L.P. coverage and the fallout that is soon to hit the shelves from this event. Thanks again to SoCal Donna for taking initiative and doing what she could for the Troopers. United We Find! Check out the report and photos from the event. |
“Hi guys, Sandtrooper Bigmikehodge here with a request if anyone can help me out with the red Clone Trooper green Clone Commander, Obi-Wan pilot, Zett or Antilles I would really appreciate it. I am also looking for the 500th Vader figure I would be willing to pay cost plus shipping plus a couple dollars more if any trooper can help out thanks very much. Just email me thanks again!”mike.hodge@viox-services.com |
“Here's another store report for 7/23/05.Kmart (Zion, IL) “had 1 non-mint Anakin Evolutions pack. Target (Waukegan & Gurnee, IL) “had carded Micro vehicle packs and Wookiee flyers. TRU (Gurnee, IL) “has 2 500th Vaders & wave 1 of the M&M Mpire 2-packs. KB Toys (Gurnee, IL) “has 2 500th Vaders & wave 2 of the M&M Mpire 2-packs. I haven't seen any newer basic figures or any of the Clone Trooper 3-packs in the area, hopefully there will be better luck this week.” wrightcombo@juno.com |

“HothChad from Central Minnesota. Went out today looking for anything new and came up with the usual, nothing. I went to a Target, 2 Wal-Mart's, and a Kmart. One of the Wal-Mart's was a brand new one that even opened up today and all they had was older basic figures, nothing past #45. Very disappointing. If there are any troopers out there that want to from an alliance with me to help each other find stuff let me know. Maybe working together we can complete our collections. Until I find anything new, HothChad out.”chadbarb@sherbtel.net |

“Hi Troopers! There is not much new to report around here - still no Tarkin wave sightings, and I've decided that our local (Kirkwood) Wal-Mart has just given up on stocking anything Star Wars. We have found the Wave 2 Target cups/figures a couple of times over the past several days - still not in the system at Target, but last night they quoted me $9.99 when I asked. Kirkwood had 2 Yoda, 2 Han, and 1 Boba Fett. We also picked up 4 2-packs of the M-pire figures - I personally like the Darth Maul and R2-D2 the best. Thanks to Trooper Dead Hero who hooked us up with a BK Vader and thanks for the tip on the holographic Leia - I just ordered one at StarWarsShop.com.”ajh88@sbcglobal.net |

The final book of the Dark Nest trilogy, "The Swarm War," shows just how powerful Luke Skywalker really is, and that he is truly the most power Jedi Master in the galaxy. Luke summons heroes of the New Jedi Order to help prepare for one of the galaxy's soon-to-be most powerful wars. This paperback novel is scheduled to be released sometime in December. San Diego Comic Con… the biggest show on the west coast. The biggest Star Wars Show of the year? Maybe. Four days and three floors of comic chaos and crappy food. RJP and I attended three of the four days, taking it easy on the first day, being in total chaos on Star Wars day, and finishing off the week with the Star Wars fan club breakfast. Along the way we picked up some info and took a ton of pictures, so check it out! |
“Hey, folks. Young George Lucas reporting from the Kansas City area. Yesterday I found the Extra Crispy Anakin wave at a Wal-Mart in Olathe, and today I found the Wookiee Flyer (which is pretty cool) at an Olathe Target. Still searching for the Tarkin wave. Have a quality day.”davegrate@msn.com |
“To all those Troopers who asked me to look for green troopers, my store does not have them yet. I can confirm the 31st is the date that toys is due to be transitioned for the 4th quarter. So it might not hurt to make friends with a toy Team Lead and find out what isle will be set what day of that week. I also got the Anakin Evolutions set very nice. Now I can rest and wait for the new Leia as Boushh to hit. I will always keep an eye out for fellow Troopers.”kmclark14@comcast.net |
Hasbro, the toy manufacturer behind Star Wars collectibles, has reported Monday that its second-quarter profit jumped 56%, and international business numbers rose 61% to $4.5 million. Things seem to be looking pretty good for the second-largest toymaker. Read the full story here. |
"DarthPharaoh reporting in. Finally, some signs of life and some good news. First, TRU had the Wave 1 Mpire figures and the newest Unleashed figures, which I don`t collect but they did look pretty cool. KB Toys had the 500th Vader in and Wave 1 of Mpire figures as well but that`s where my news got good. The manager was just finishing putting up the Mpire figures and I asked him about why their stock was so limited on the basic figures (almost nothing left for nearly a month). He told me KB had under-ordered based on the disappointing sales from Episodes I and II, but that on the 29th they were supposed to be totally restocking all the basic figures and that included ALL the new waves through #56. So I know where I`ll be that morning since I`d already requested it off for my B-day weekend. Anyone in NE Atlanta area may want to be near their local KB that morning as well. United we find and death to all scalpers!!!"djohnson@internap.com |
I have been on foot patrol lately and the pickings are very slim. I hit up Kmart in Zion, IL and found the Evolutions Anakin Pack. This is a very cool concept and I couldn't wait to start picking these up when we first saw them back at CIII in April. Other than that the new figure front has been quiet, too quiet. Everywhere you go there is less and less from the earlier waves, I finally got myself caught up and am looking forward to finishing off the list of things I didn't pick up April 2nd. I have also been very busy assembling my Sandtrooper Armor kit and trying to acquire all the remaining pieces with Wizard World only a few weeks away. I'm looking forward to a great weekend of good times and unity. Stay tuned to ST this week for news concerning Wizard World Chicago and Sandblast 2005, which is about to jump off and re-set the bar and give a new meaning to the word giveaway! Until then United We Find Troopers, Lord Spice out! |
