Diorama Update: Outlander Club Added
Diorama Update: Outlander Club AddedFellow staff member Sandtrooper Dan (aka Amanaman Dan) was the talk of the town when he showed up at Celebration III with his Outlander Club diorama back in late April. Thousands of Star Wars fans crowded around his diorama, and all were stunned at how realistic and authentic it looked! If you didn't get to see it in person now is your chance to see it! We've put together a page for you that shows over 90 images of his diorama, and Dan even wrote up a great article about his experience building this absolutely incredible diorama! Dewback Patrol: Austin Collector's Expo
Dewback Patrol: Austin Collector's ExpoFellow staff member starfox attended the Austin Collector's Expo in Texas today, and has returned with lots of pictures and a great story to go with them. The show had several dealers who were selling Star Wars collectibles at unrealistic prices, but Dave was lucky enough to score a nice Gentle Giant Greedo bust for only five dollars! Talk about the steal of a lifetime! Check out his full coverage of the show here, and be sure to talk about this over in our forums.

Sandtroper SoCal Dom Reports:
One of SoCal's Finest!“Well, times are beginning to change in the Inland Empire. Results have been positive, and quantities are aplenty. On a tip by Trooper Jesse, I went to the Temecula KB yesterday afternoon and was in disbelief to see that their pegs were stocked full of the blue CloneTtrooper 3-packs and the Mustafar Sentry figure! I would say that there were 30 of them on the shelves, and there were about 8 unopened cases with what appeared to have 2 of each in each case. All I have to say is, these are elusive no more. I believe these to be the next pegwarmer. The figure is similar to a Geonosian Warrior in that the body appears similar, but these guys are wearing armor/gowns. Anyways, plenty of them out here so be sure to check your local KB stores. Earlier in the week, I was able to score the Obi Pilot wave, the Zett Jukasa wave, the green clone commander, shock trooper, and the black clone pilot. Keep lookin’ guys, they are out there!”

Sandtrooper Drue Reports:
“This is my first post but I have been reading the site for a very long time. I live in Wichita, Kansas and the stores are all barren. No resets yet and the new figures are barely squeezing in. I was able to beat a scalper to the Bacara Wave so if anyone is of need of this wave as a set or individually let me know. Keep fighting the good fight.”

Sandtrooper Darth Vegas Reports:
“Trooper Darth Vegas reporting in with excellent Intel. Kay Bee on Eastern and Serene in the Vegas/Western Sector have 3.5" #'s 54 and 55. What luck. I'm glad I checked that number or it was just another Obi-Wan. I picked up Obi-Wan for further study and there was # 54 the AT -RT Driver. Picked up 2 each and then I saw the Anakin Evo packs and had to grab one of those. Nice 5-minute recon. On the way out I bribed one of the local inhabitants to hold on to 2 of the # 56 Mustafar Sentry's when they came in and I 'd take them into custody on the next patrol. Just a bit of advice when you are out there workin the locals. Treat them with respect and they will usually help you out if they know you mean them no harm. Build and work that network. That's about it for now, May the Force be with you, but always keep one in the chamber! Darth Vegas Out!

P.S. I ran into a scalper that was so rude I almost had to take him out. He ruined the display racks and took almost everything of import. I have everything so I didn't push the situation but this guy deserved 2 in the chest and one in the head. Leave some for the next guy, please!”

Sandtrooper Sith Slave Reports:
“Sith slave reporting on the St. Charles/North St. Louis MO area. The local Targets have replenished their stocks of ROTS basic lineups, though all the in demand figures are already cleaned out. Wal-Mart stores in the area have next to nothing. The KayBee Toys in the Mills mall has received a new shipment, it consists mainly of all early figures, but also had the green clone commander, red shock trooper, AT-RT driver. It seems if you don't arrive the morning new figures are stocked your SOL. That’s all till I return from vacation.”

Sandtrooper Dead Hero Reports:
Who's Dead?“An eventful twenty-four hours here in Northeast Illinois as four different stores came through in a big way. On Wednesday's lunchtime run at the Quarry Shopping Center in LaGrange (Hodgkins/Countryside), Target had multiples of Zett, Antilles, and Utaupan Warrior, while Wal-Mart there had only Obi-Wan pilots. On my trip home, a stop at Target in Waukegan brought two red-coat Royal Guards, with the same Zett wave bristling from the pegs. With momentum on our side, Darth Spice and I made a late-night trip to Super Wal-Mart in Antioch where we were met by the antithesis of the stereotypical department store floor stocker. Already two cases stocked on the pegs, a lady asked what we were looking for. She came through in a big way, bringing out eight cases and opening them for us. The AT-RT Drivers and green-trim Clone Commanders that had eluded me earlier were in good supply, while, out of all eight cases, only a single peppermint-deco Number 6 Clone Trooper was shipped. Walking out with the figures and eight empty cases, the sight of the cart rallied employees to inspect the contents twice before making it out of the store. I took a look once again today at the Quarry and Wal-Mart had stocked even more cases, but with very few Commanders and AT-RT Drivers remaining.”

Sandtrooper Eric L. Reports:
"Eric Leavitt from Waterloo, IL, here again and I am reporting for the second time in two days. I visited Kirkwood, MO (St. Louis) area today with my wife thanks to Sandtroopers Tim and Amy, who provided valuable intelligence. The Kirkwood Wal-Mart had nothing but pegwarmers. The Kirkwood TRU had #1-42. The Kirkwood Target had #45-53 plus the Wookiee Flyer. I scored in, Ask Aak, Meena Tillis, Captain Antilles, and Zett Jukassa. I passed on a Utapauan Warrior. There were several of every figure #45-53. I left some for other St. Louis area Sandtroopers."

See the Trailer for "Empire at War" Now!
Sandtroopers Rule!LucasArts has recently released the first video trailer for the upcoming game "Empire at War." If you think you've played some great Star Wars video games in the past, just wait until you take command of your empire in this game! The graphics look absolutely intense, and you can lead your forces into battle on the ground and up in space. One of the best features of this game is the ability to use the Death Star to obliterate the Rebellion (if you decide to play as the Empire). This game will be available sometime in February next year, but you can pre-order this now at StarWarsShop.com. Go to the official "Empire at War" website to view the trailer for yourself.

Bounty Hunters Invade StarWarsShop.com!
The 'Hunt for the Millennium Falcon' Bounty Hunter action figure 7-pack is now available for pre-order at StarWarsShop.com for only $34.99. Here's a short description of this exciting new product:

"Admiral Piett may not have been too happy about Darth Vader's use of outside contractors on the Han Solo job, but no true Star Wars fan will be able to pass up this limited edition collector's set. Recreating the famous scene from Empire Strikes Back, this Diamond Comics exclusive set by Hasbro features Lord Vader addressing the galaxy's greatest 3.75" mercenaries: Zuckuss, 4-LOM, Dengar, IG-88, Bossk, and Boba Fett.

Vintage collectors will recall similar department store offerings for multi-figure assortments back in the 1980s, which are now hotly sought after for their rarity and unusual packaging. This fantastic villain set harks back to the spirit of those rare exclusives, and even incorporates some of the retro styling of the early window box packaging.

This set of seven figures comes packaged with blaster rifle accessories for the bounty hunters and a lightsaber for Vader. This exclusive set is limited to just 10,000 units."

Sandtrooper HothChad Reports:HothChad from Central Minnesota. It has been a good last couple of days up here. Yesterday I found figures #45-53 at Target. Today my wife found the blue clone 3-pack at another Target. She said it looked like Target had reset their shelves for the new season. It seems she is always able to find me new stuff when I can't. Thanks Barb. Wal-Marts are pretty slim pickins for anything new. Thanks to Trooper KBlack1996 for his willingness to help me find stuff when it was slow around my neck of the woods. I am also gad to help out fellow trooper Laura with some new finds. Until next time HothChad out."

The South County, St. Louis, MO Target had many #500 Darth Vader, Clone 3-Packs, Crispy Anakin, Bacarra, and #48 R2-D2 in addition to restocks of Grievous, Vader, and plain white #6 Clones. Oh, they also had several Anakin Evolution packs. The South County, St. Louis, MO Wal-Mart just had Evolution Anakin and peg-warmers. Sandtrooper MJ Reports:
“Report from Detroit, MI. Something weird is going on. I went to two of my Targets today and found the strangest assortment of figures fresh on the pegs. Between the two stores, I could have put an entire collection of every ROTS figure released so far. The only three I did not come across were Mace Windu, C-3PO, and Vader. I found at least one of every other figure, but most was in quantities of 2-3 including 8 Clone Trooper #41. Is Hasbro clearing out stock already? Went to my local Toy R Us today and the Hasbro Rep was there filling pegs with new clearance two-packs, which included several two-packs containing AT-TE Gunners, for those of you that are army building. They still have two Arc-170 fighters if anyone still needs one. All of my Targets still have plenty of Battle Packs, Evolution Anakins, Wookiee flyers, Bogas, BARC Speeders, both Jedi Starfighters, Droid attack ship, Grievous wheel bikes and both micro playsets if anyone needs them.”

Of course this would all be pending an OK from the top brass, but any thoughts give me an email or something!”

Sandtrooper Boba Bix Reports: Henceforth I shall be knonw As...
“Hello troops. Since I have been such an addict of ST.com, I decided that maybe I should change my alias to something a little more creative, so I am going with the Boba Bix call sign. It seems like everyone else in San Diego is finding the new clone repaints except for me (and the unethical Wal-Mart manager that I am still on the hunt for). That was until today. I found the #6 Shock trooper and #33 Green clone commander at the Wal-Mart in Chula Vista, CA. They also had one Captain Antilles, and at least 5 Commander Bacara, Darth Vader, and General Grievous figures. My guess is that all of these come in the same Hasbro pack. Anyway, I have an extra Bacara and Tarkin to trade for a #34 Black clone pilot or the AT-RT Driver. Trooper Boba Bix out.”

Sandtrooper Darth Vegas Reports:
“Wow, things have changed for the better out West. My Wal-Mart has Unleashed II, Battlepacks, the latest figures 51,52,53, tons of clone 3 packs, lots of tank gunners # 38, still a bunch of #500 Vader, Red and Blue guards, Tater Vader. The Red clones were gone of course. I should have picked up more for you guys. I even picked up another Tarkin just for the heck of it. I didn't see any more Black Clone Pilots either. What a week so far! I'm not bragging, I'm just surprised because it has been so dry for so long I about gave up hope. Now I have "A NEW HOPE" heh, heh!”

Sandtrooper SoCal Dom Reports:
One of SoCal's Finest!“Been awhile since I posted but I have been busy trying to build a new backyard. Southern California stores have been pretty bare recently, but a small surge in product has hit the Wal-Mart’s and Target in Murrieta. The Lake Elsinore Wal-Mart has been reduced to a single end cap with only 6 pegs reserved for basic figs, the rest for light sabers and Vader masks. Very disappointing and somewhat alarming. The Target in Menifee has been bare for over a month. I heard from one of the workers in that dept. that the dept manager was out on family leave and might be out for a few more weeks; hence the reason for the dilapidated section. It may be awhile before we see a change. There was the Zett wave with many Bacara's, and Black Clone Pilots (one of my top 3 favorites from this line - and it is a re-hash!) I also saw the Vader Evolution set and the battle pack with Asajj and Obi-wan w/ storm trooper disguise. There were plenty of 500th Vader figures at Target as well. I have seen the Unleashed Vader wave once but all were in pretty bad shape. I am on the lookout for the Obi-Wan Pilot, Turbo Tank Driver, Shock Trooper, and the green Clone Commander. Send me an email if someone can help me out with these. I have an extra black clone pilot and more. Good luck and keep hunting!”

Sandtrooper the Devils Ewok Reports:
Doesn't play well with Others!“Well, sorry ya’ll haven't heard from me in a while, we moved and now my car is dead so, a wee off for me! (Thank God I have vacation time) Up until my car decided to crap out I was actively hunting. Here is what I've found: Neimoidian Warriors! Yep, you want to build an army of spineless whiners? Hit your local Target, Wal-Mart and TRU and K-Mart and... Wookiee Warriors! Not spineless, but just as plentiful! But the shedding, not worth it. Clone Pilots! Sorry, we're out of ships, uh...just ya know, uh...stand there. Even with 3 pilots per ARC-170, there is probably a line in the hanger. AND THATS IT!!!! Aside from finding the Kit Fisto Galactic Heroes, the stores around here seem to be saying Star WHAT? But don't worry kids, there's plenty of pegs of Ultra-Scuba-Ninja-Stealth-Neon-Pink-Muffin-Baker Batman figures from Batman Begins...so, yipee! sigh, I wish it was April again..”

Sandtrooper MJ Reports: Just like Jordan, Yo I'm scorin'!
“Reporting in from Detroit, MI. I hit two of my Targets this morning. One had nothing, one had everything. 4 Battle Packs, 3 Evolutions Anakin to Vader, 4 Wookiee Flyers, Multiples of Captain Antilles, Utopian warrior, and Zett Jukassa, like 6-8 of each. 6 AT-TE Gunners, but no Shock Troopers or Green Commanders. Someone else got to 'em first. 2 Han cup sets and 1 Yoda. My Toys R Us had 6 500th Vaders on Friday; as of this morning they were all gone. That was the only new shipment I've seen at Toys R Us in a while. Be sure to check their clearance isles though for their plastic-cased two-packs. I believe that they're red tagged at $8.97 for two figures. Nothing at my K-Mart, as usual, but I did find a 12-inch General Grievous hidden under the bottom shelf of the Star Wars section today, so if that was yours, sorry. I'm looking to trade for a Comic-Con Holo Leia, if anyone has an extra let me know. I'm also looking for a Fan Club Holo Sidious, Sandtrooper, TIE Pilot, and Stormtrooper from OTC line. I've got plenty to trade. Please help.”

Sandtrooper Dead Hero Reports:
Who's Dead?“Troops, finally found new products in Southeast Wisconsin, braving the border from Illinois. Target in Kenosha, WI received a shipment of Wookiee Flyers and BARC Speeders (many Flyers), while K-Mart in Kenosha had a handful of 500th Darth Vaders on the shelf. Other than that, you are hard pressed to find anything new right now. I had headed to K-Mart in Zion, IL looking for the banged-up Evolutions Anakin set that Trooper Dennis of Waukegan had reported, and couldn't believe that there was another soul who'd throw down twenty-five dollars. The result? I wait for another shipment! Keep Troopin' fellow Troopers; the lean times will be a memory in no time (especially when September rolls around for Christmas resets and, better yet, when November brings more product against the DVD release!). Dead Hero signing off!”

Sandtrooper HothChad Reports:
Cold as Ice“HothChad from Central Minnesota. Hit a few stores today and here is what I found: Nothing new at Wal-Mart's and Kmart. Did find a Captain Antilles, Utopian warrior and Ask Aak at a Target. I talked to a stockman at the Target to see if they had anything in the back and his reply was that they were discontinuing the line and were clearing out some stock. I didn't say much other than "Oh Really". We all know that is not the case, I don't know where he came up with that idea. Other than that is has been really slow up here in the Northwood's. Sandwatch Action Figure Reviews: Emperor Palpatine #12
Hey Troops, Sandwatch Action Figure Reviews have been updated with Revenge of the Sith figure #12 Emperor Palpatine with Firing Force Lightning. Why do we need yet another black robe clad Emperor? Why do I need to keep spending money on figures I already have? Is it really worth the near seven dollars? These questions and more are covered in this edition. The only thing they couldn't pack in was the acrid smell of half-burnt flesh! The most twisted and evil person in the entire Star Wars Saga is back and you can see why you must have the first new Emperor Palpatine From the Revenge of the Sith Collection. We are still looking for future Sandwatch guest stars so if you are interested please drop me a line. Feel free to offer your own feedback about the RotS collection. Until then enter if you dare!

Go to the Jedi Temple, you will catch them off balance, for they are truly suckers!

Sandtrooper Jesse Reports:
“After a week of finding nothing I finally got lucky. Since my Menifee, CA Target was empty for so long I decided to take a trip to the Hemet, CA Target. Nothing but Neomodians were on the pegs so I checked their scanner if there were more in the back. It said yes so I asked someone who worked there to bring some out for me. She came back with one of each Zett, Antillies, Utapaun Guard, Red Royal Guard and an AT-TE gunner. I bought all but the AT-TE gunner. After that I went to the Wal-Mart in Murrieta, CA and got lucky yet again and found tons of Obi-Wan Pilots, Turbo Tank Driver, Shock Troopers, and the green Clone Commander. Strange how my stores got tons of these waves but no Tarkin wave. I also went to Comic Con for my third time and had a blast and was able to get the Holo Leia and all four of the Entertainment Earth clone 4-packs. That’s all for now.”

They have quite a few of the micro machine sets. Finally Kmart, place I have had little luck actually had the 500th Darth Vader (17.99) and the Jedi vs. Sith BattlePack (21.99). Left with 2 each of the 3 stocked. Not a bad haul for the week. Just waiting on the Evolutions to make an appearance. ‘Til the next time…”

Update from ACPin: Felucia Scout Patrol & IHQ Main Docking Bay
We have two brand new updates from our Bad Boy with the Bricks a.k.a. ACPin. Here are the latest works:

Felucia Scout PatrolFelucia Scout Patrol: Felucia was a world teeming with fungal life-forms and immense primitive plants. Beneath the hazy canopies of the enormous pitcher plants and leafy growths is a surreal color-drenched landscape where an infantry unit of Republic scouts are on routine patrol assignment.

IHQ Main Docking BayIHQ Main Docking Bay: The Millennium Falcon rests beyond the stolen Imperial Shuttle, which looks anomalous among all the Rebels ships in the vast docking bay crowded now with all the rebel strike teams loading supplies and crew.

For those of you who haven't been in awhile or have just heard of ACPin and his amazing Lego products, see more work from ACPin here.

Sandtrooper & Troopette Tim and Amy Report:
You can keep Rob and Amber we got Tim & Amy“Hi Troopers! There is not much new to report around here - still no Tarkin wave sightings, and I've decided that our local (Kirkwood) Wal-Mart has just given up on stocking anything Star Wars. We have found the Wave 2 Target cups/figures a couple of times over the past several days - still not in the system at Target, but last night they quoted me $9.99 when I asked. Kirkwood had 2 Yoda, 2 Han, and 1 Boba Fett. We also picked up 4 2-packs of the M-pire figures - I personally like the Darth Maul and R2-D2 the best. Thanks to Trooper Dead Hero who hooked us up with a BK Vader and thanks for the tip on the holographic Leia - I just ordered one at StarWarsShop.com.”

Sandtrooper Michael Reports:
“Hey troops, the Los Angeles area has been pretty slow getting the new figures, and when they do hit, you have to be there within a couple of hours after they are out, because they go fast. Example, I saw about 8 Extra Crispy Anakin at a local Target and I called a fellow collector to tell him. He went down there 2 hrs later and they were all gone. I'm still looking for a Commander Bacara. Peace.”

Dewback Patrol: Sand Diego Comic Con
Big Sand, Small TroopSan Diego Comic Con… the biggest show on the west coast. The biggest Star Wars Show of the year? Maybe. Four days and three floors of comic chaos and crappy food. RJP and I attended three of the four days, taking it easy on the first day, being in total chaos on Star Wars day, and finishing off the week with the Star Wars fan club breakfast. Along the way we picked up some info and took a ton of pictures, so check it out!

S.C.A.L.P. Vet“Hey, folks. Young George Lucas reporting from the Kansas City area. Yesterday I found the Extra Crispy Anakin wave at a Wal-Mart in Olathe, and today I found the Wookiee Flyer (which is pretty cool) at an Olathe Target. Still searching for the Tarkin wave. Have a quality day.”

Sandtrooper Darkjedi29 Reports:
“Hey Troops-I decided today since I was bored and had nothing to do to put on my new Vader Supreme costume and hit the toy stores-boy was that a mistake! I was mauled all day by kids and 1 homeless guy who asked for some money! (I offered him some Imperial credits but he just looked at me crazy) Anyways-if anyone needs them, my local TRU put out about 6 Clone trooper quick draws and 3 SA Clone troopers, along with a mace and a few Obi-Wan and a Yoda. The 501st turned me down because my costume was not authentic enough, and they wanted me to do some cutting on it, I said no way, I love this costume and driving around in my new 05 Monte Carlo, black of course, I looked great in the costume! Happy hunting and have an Imperial day!”

This site has been a great help in looking and learning about Japanese Kotobukiya Figures, especially the year the figures were released. Next on my list is the Han Solo to finish the Chewbacca scene, then I want Darth Maul or Luke Skywalker Storm Trooper. Thanks again Troopers for providing me with the answers I've been looking for.”

Sandtrooper DarthPharaoh Reports:
Sandtrooper DarthPharaoh Reports:"DarthPharaoh reporting in. Finally, some signs of life and some good news. First, TRU had the Wave 1 Mpire figures and the newest Unleashed figures, which I don`t collect but they did look pretty cool. KB Toys had the 500th Vader in and Wave 1 of Mpire figures as well but that`s where my news got good. The manager was just finishing putting up the Mpire figures and I asked him about why their stock was so limited on the basic figures (almost nothing left for nearly a month). He told me KB had under-ordered based on the disappointing sales from Episodes I and II, but that on the 29th they were supposed to be totally restocking all the basic figures and that included ALL the new waves through #56. So I know where I`ll be that morning since I`d already requested it off for my B-day weekend. Anyone in NE Atlanta area may want to be near their local KB that morning as well. Area Report: Evolution and Revolution - the Saga Continues...
Hotter than Tabasco, you know dat A#$Ho!I have been on foot patrol lately and the pickings are very slim. I hit up Kmart in Zion, IL and found the Evolutions Anakin Pack. This is a very cool concept and I couldn't wait to start picking these up when we first saw them back at CIII in April. Other than that the new figure front has been quiet, too quiet. Everywhere you go there is less and less from the earlier waves, I finally got myself caught up and am looking forward to finishing off the list of things I didn't pick up April 2nd. I have also been very busy assembling my Sandtrooper Armor kit and trying to acquire all the remaining pieces with Wizard World only a few weeks away. I'm looking forward to a great weekend of good times and unity. Stay tuned to ST this week for news concerning Wizard World Chicago and Sandblast 2005, which is about to jump off and re-set the bar and give a new meaning to the word giveaway! Until then United We Find Troopers, Lord Spice out!

Sandtrooper Hothchad Reports:
Cold as Ice“HothChad from Central Minnesota. Been hitting Wal-Mart and Target pretty hard the last couple of weeks and nothing to show for it except some high gas bills. Went to a Kmart today and found the Evolutions-Anakin set and also the Jedi vs. Sith battlepack. I have no clue what Target and Wal-Mart are doing. If you are lucky you might find one case now and then, unless someone else got to them first. Hopefully they start getting some basic figures in soon and don't pass up on some of the older waves. It is starting to look like it did towards the end of the Saga line and the end of the OTC line. They’re in and out and you won't see them again. My advice if you find them and want them, buy them because you may not see them again. HothChad out.”

The preview goes into detail about a few new worlds that have been added to this game: Geonosis, Polis Massa and Coruscant. Star Wars Toys Are Suspicious!?
Greater Buffalo Niagara International AirportFrom the Associated Press: "A false alarm at the Buffalo, New York, airport. Officials say a suspicious bag prompted authorities to clear the airport's main terminal early this morning. The bag was later found to contain "Star Wars" toys and memorabilia. A spokesman for the Transportation Security Administration tells a Buffalo radio station (W-B-E-N) that the bag was apparently left by someone who departed yesterday on a flight bound for Miami. After the bag was removed to a secure location, officials discovered it held nothing but "Star Wars" stuff. The security sweep resulted in long lines at the check-in point."

"Hello guys, reporting from Miami, nothing new in the last two weeks, a few sightings of Unleashed wave 2 at target, and I got an inside lead that the evolutions set of Vader will be available on August 1. Other than that nothing new in sight, still no 500th Vader yet.

I also wanted to ask if anyone is going to Comic-Con in San Diego that can hook me up ith the exclusive evolutions set of the troopers. I have stuff to trade, still have a Lava Vader, Holo Yoda, Target Clone, Target cups and Unleashed wave 2, or I will pay cash plus shipping and a little extra. Let me know if anyone can help out. Sandtrooper Dom Reports: Lock on to 'em R2!
Anyone have a 12-inch Plo Koon?“The news from east central Wisconsin: found a blue saber Palpatine at the local Shopko so keep looking, they're out there. Hallmark will be selling their Star Wars ornaments beginning this weekend. The ornaments will be a miniature Vader's TIE and Millennium Falcon (together in one box), Anakin's Starfighter from ROTS, slave Leia, a blue trimmed clone trooper from ROTS, and Vader from ESB. These look sweet although I'm passing on the mini vehicles as I already have these in the bigger size from years passed. Also I managed to snag an R2-D2 ROTS cooler from Wal-Mart. These are the ones that were sitting on the floor and stocked with bottles of soda. I spoke to the manager and asked if I could have it when Wal-Mart was done with it. He said that he'd check with Pepsi. I didn't hear from him and when I went to Wally World today it was gone. I spoke to the manager again and he said that they were saving it for me in the back. He dragged it out and I drove R2 home.”

Sandtrooper Brian Reports:
S.C.A.L.P. Patrol“It's been a long dry summer in Indianapolis, IN so far. Up until yesterday I had found two things here: Jack and well, you know. Anyway, I did happen to score the new Extra Crispy Anakin/Bacara wave last night at Meijer in Carmel. Other than that, nothing. No 500th Vader to be found as of yet, but I'm fairly confident that I'll score one sooner or later. I do have a question for you guys though: Since when did Eeth Koth become Agen Kolar, and Adi Gallia turn into Stass Allie? I'm pretty much up on my reading with the Clone Wars books but I may have missed something. Any ideas? Thanks and MTFBWY!”
BrianLustig@prodigy.net

Actually they are different characters who look very similar. We are certain Hasbro couldn't be more thrilled!

    Darth Vader T-Shirt at Comic-Con
Darth Vader T-Shirt at Comic-ConStarWarsShop.com will be debuting at this year's San Diego Comic-Con a totally brand new style of clothing relating to Star Wars, and what better way then to start it off will be the "Darth Vader Lives" t-shirt. This shirt is done in the retro look of the late 1970s, and anyone that remembers wearing old Star Wars shirts back in the day will surely appreciate this shirt. This will be available for purchase at the Comic-Con, but if you won't be attending the show you can order one online next week at StarWarsShop.com. I hope there will be many other retro Star Wars shirts, similar to this one, brought back from the dead. Read more about this here.

    Sandtrooper Starfox Reports:
Sandtrooper Starfox Reports:"It's been a while since anything has hit Central Texas. We've had a two-month drought with no rain and no new figures! The Super Wal-Mart in Copperas Cove has the Early Bird sets on clearance for $10. If any Troopers needs one, email me and we can work some kind of deal! Target did receive the Boba Fett wave of collector glasses, but no Yoda?? Anyway, they went fast! TRU is a complete wateland, just a few pegs devoted to April 2nd releases, nothing new at all. KBToys and K-Mart have all been more wasted trips. The Wal-Marts have been rumored to see a white Clone Trooper 3-pack from time to time, but no Tarkin wave ever! That's all from Central Texas, starfox signing out!"

Force of the Bay: Ride it until the Saddle falls Off
It has been said if you build it they will come, if that is indeed true then perhaps the people who created ebay have created a monster. With the escalating price of gasoline across the U.S.A., many are turning to online retail not only for the convenience of not getting off your rear but the affordability compared to searching for the item yourself. If you can’t find that hot collectible, maybe you can find a nice honest guy selling you a great knock off or replica. Maybe you have a burning desire to relive Christmas of '79. That seller was pretty good at describing flaws in the items, something I'd advise looking for. Maybe you are searching for some obscure jewelry you thought you'd never find the entire set of, boxed at that. There is any and every relic from the vintage era you can possibly think of or maybe even forgot about. You could go out and find that old Burger King display and throw away a ridiculous amount of money and make a glass of yourself! If you are wondering about getting into costuming, there is nothing better than to start at the bottom and work your way up. You really want something that no one else has? Try finding something in the props section. You'll never know what kind of things you'll find now that Star Wars is hotter than ever! If you think it's too soon for something this kicka#$ to show up on the auction block, think again. Never underestimate the creativity of Star Wars fans. Even if you are searching for your Star Wars purchase after you hit the lotto, I guarantee you will find it and you don't even need your standard issue electro binoculars to find the things you are searching for. Remember Sandtroopers.com neither authenticates nor endorses the sellers featured here. Good luck to you Troopers in your searches, kick a#$ and take names!

Darth Spice and a library don't mix!It was an out of the ordinary day at the Glenview Public Library today. The Dark Side is strong around the Windy City! Children not only didn’t have to be quiet, but they could play games and grab a snapshot with Darth Vader too! The Midwest Garrison was host to a meet and greet today for local area kids. Once again I was lucky enough to get under the helmet for a closer look at this magnificent group. They’ll do the job and wonderfully at that. For more check out my report from the event today.

    Sandtrooper Ckchua Reports:
“Hi, I have been reading your website for quite sometime since the launch of RotS toys. I know it involves reports in the U.S.A. We in Malaysia are at both ends of the scale. Good: We seem to get new toys hitting stores much more advance. For example your news of the wave 3 die-cast was published July 8. On the same day, I happened to come across the entire die cast in TRU, Kuala Lumpur (we don't have Wal-Mart here). It seems the toys were made available. Bad: Scalpers and specialty toy stores are aplenty. Prices are pushed up over the roof. For example, most Clone Troopers are never available in TRU and normal retail outlets. I’ve been fortunate to be able to be at the right places most of the time and am able to get some things that I want. The frustrated lots are many. I manage to get the exclusive TRU Anakin Jedi Starfighter in TRU even before Hasbro reported of its existence - and I was wondering why the Starfighter is green in color! That is my report from Kuala Lumpur. I’m out. Tired troop, Ckchua.”

Sandwatch: Celebration III Talking Darth VaderFellow staff member Boba Binks has put together another nice review of one of the more sought out collectors' pieces... Hasbro's Celebration III Talking Darth Vader figure. This figure was an exclusive piece during the Star Wars Celebration III event that took place near the end of April this year. The figure has never-before recorded quotes from James Earl Jones himself, talking as if he were doing lines from Darth Vader again. If you don't have this in your collection then you're missing out. Sandtrooper Jesse Reports:
“Hi Troops. I haven't found much stuff in stores these past weeks. My local Wal-Mart reduced the basic figure section to about 6 pegs to make room for the Mpire figures and my Target is half empty. I was able to get the last green clone 3-pack at Wal-Mart so I now have all the colors. Toys R Us has lots of the older stuff. I checked the SKU number for the 500th Vader and they said they had 3. The worker said they should be out on the shelf but there wasn't any. He said they aren't in the back and must have been sold. Wouldn't the computer say they were sold if they were bought? I did buy some stuff online though. Amazon.com finally got the Red Royal Guard in stock a couple of days ago and since its been about 2 months without seeing him in stores I decided to buy him for the $8 they were charging and while I was at it I bought Tarkin. That's about it in the Murrieta, Menifee, CA area.”

    Lucas Talks About the Future
Lucas Talks About the FutureIn a recent one-on-one interview with the creator of Star Wars, George Lucas, the San Jose Mercury News was able to get a lot of great information out of him about his future and the future of his companies. As funny as it may sound Lucas admitted to his lack of technical expertise, but thankfully he has the right staff in place to have brought the digital filming and special effects technology to where it is today. Lucas also mentions what his intentions are now that Revenge of the Sith is complete. Read the full story and interview here.

Sandtrooper Kevin Clark Reports:"Well, Jersey has dried up. I received my 500th Vader from KBtoys.com today. A really nice figure... only one complaint it would be nice to have the whole meditation chamber and a total face reveal mask, but overall a great item. Nothing else new. Toys 'R Us has completely removed Star Wars from up front. And the only new figures my Target keeps getting is the Green Clone three pack. No word yet on the Evolutions. One little tid bit... some stores allow the overnight team to make purchases at the end of their shift usually 6-6:30am. This may explain some shortages at some Targets."

"What's up Troops! Knotty Trooper out here in NC, home of the Tar Heels. We finally have signs of life! For the last three agonizing weeks, I have read countless stories of sightings in various states, and well I still don't have a Tarkin. But I have seen variations of Clone Trooper 3-packs, the Crab droid, and a couple of new Force Battlers at the local Wal-Mart. Oddly enough, although this is the first time seeing any of these deluxe figures (obviously, I copped them) the Stass Allie with speeder bike has been around here for weeks. Can't explain, but if anyone has an extra Tarkin out there, please hit me up! Good luck to all the hung over with vacation troopers struggling to get back in the flow...peace!"

    Three New Unleashed Coming Soon!
Three New Unleashed Coming Soon! Thanks to the tip from masterfett, we have just seen the latest news feed from Hasbro Headquarters with the upcoming wave of Unleashed figures! It's not currently known when these three new figures will be released, but it better come sooner than later. Up first is a Shock Trooper (Hasbro is technically calling it just a Clone Trooper), which is standing on top of molten lava on the planet Mustafar. Next up is yet another Chewbacca, but this time he's from the Kashyyyk scene from Revenge of the Sith. Last up is Luke Skywalker's sidekick... Han Solo wearing the Stormtrooper disguise and looks like he's in the bottom of the trash compactor. These Unleashed figures keep getting better and better, and hopefully they'll come out with all the incredibly kick a@@ Clone Commanders (i.e. Appo, Bly, Cody, Gree, Neyo, etc). See all the exciting images of this here.

    Sandtrooper Darth Pharoah Reports:
Sandtrooper DarthPharaoh Reports:"DarthPharaoh from the Atlanta area checking in. Some good news, some bad. Good, I’ve found the Wookiee Flyer at TRU, and the newest deluxe wave is common except for the Clone pack of which I’ve seen only a few and they’ve been all white version only. Wave 2 of the Mpire figures are out at most Wal-Marts, no sign of the Wave 1 figures though (kind of odd). The newest Force Battlers are easy to find as well for those who like them. Bad news though is the basic wave front. Still have not seen a single figure from the Tarkin or Bacara wave. What’s up with that? (Said with Seinfeld drawl of course). Is there anyone in the Atlanta area or NE Georgia that’s seen these? Please let me know, I’ve been all over my area many times (5 W-marts, 6 Targets, 2 TRU, 2 KB Toys and a K-mart) and no one has anything over 44.Even my timing isn’t that bad and I’m starting to worry that we’re just gonna miss ‘em. Sandtrooper and Troopette Tim and Amy Report:
You can keep Rob and Amber we got Tim & Amy“There is not much to report in the way of finding new things here in St. Louis - still no sightings of the Tarkin wave anywhere. Something did just occur to me though - if anyone lives in an area where they are building a Wal-Mart Supercenter, and an existing non-Super Wal-Mart already exists, be sure to check out the "old" store regularly in the days/weeks leading up the grand opening of the Super Store. They almost always put things on super, super clearance - my (Amy's) mom opens new Supercenters and she just called from Cheyenne, Wyoming. All Star Wars Legos are about 80-90% off there, as well as several not too hard to find items. They clear them out so they don't have to move them to the new store. So, if you live near Cheyenne, WY, you might find some good bargains at the Wal-Mart there!”

    Sandtrooper Sithryan Reports:
The Pride of Boise!“Hey Troops! I need a little help. Can a trooper out there grab a 500th Vader for me? My local TRU is pathetic when it comes to Star Wars. They most likely will never get them. They received 1 case of the Holo Yodas, 1 case of silver Vaders, and stock Star Wars about every 4 months at best. They haven’t gotten anything new since the release of ROTS figures. Pretty bad. Anyhoo, I would pay cost plus shipping plus an extra 5 for gas. I always stick bonuses in my boxes also. All who have traded with me have been pleased to find the bonuses in the box. (We’re talkin’ good stuff here) Please help! I’d also like to thank Troopers Tuscon (Steve Heim) and Hoth Chad (Chad Earney) for recent trades, kudos to both!”

    Happy Fourth of July!
Happy 4thHey Troopers, as we all Celebrate our Independence try to remember why most of us get the day off work. Try to use extra caution when entertaining your guests and be extra careful when lighting off any explosives! We’d like to extend a special "Thank You" to our Armed Forces serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. May you all come home soon and safe with the triumphant flag of liberty waving proud. God Bless America.

Sandwatch Action Figure Review: Spice 3:16 says...
Hey Troops, Sandwatch Action Figure Reviews have been updated with Revenge of the Sith figure #50 Anakin Skywalker with Battle Damage. With the mercury around the country at an all time high, the world of Star Wars collecting is being sought out nationwide. We have gotten a pretty pretty good look at him but I've contacted an outside consultant for the inspection with this one. The Prodigal Son has returned for a guest appearance this week, General J has stopped by Sandtrooper HQ to assist with S.C.A.L.P. Blasting Plans. Drastic times call for drastic measures. The path to Hell is paved with good intentions as are the path to the dark side. The original team has reassembled for this amazing release that is sure to make any Trooper happy they threw down their hard earned money for. We are also looking for future Sandwatch guest stars so if you are interested please drop me a line. Feel free to offer your own feedback about the RotS collection. Until then enter if you dare!

Nobody can write 'em like I can, I'll take a sucka bound rehash and put his head in the sand! I'm BAD!! Cool Spice

    Sandtrooper HothChad Reports:
Cold as Ice“HothChad from Central Minnesota. Went on a toy run today and here is what I found and didn't find. Toys R Us found nothing new, no sign of the 500th Vader. Target found Wookiee Flyers at all of the Targets. The Target in St Cloud had a lot of AT-TE Gunners and Red Royal Guards if any troopers are in need of them in that area. Wal-Mart not much new, except I did stop by one and they were just putting out some new cases of deluxe figures. I did manage to get the stocker to bring up all the cases and open them up for me and found the green Clone Trooper 3-pack. They are packed 1 to a case of 6 deluxe figures. They had about 6 cases at that store. 1 case had they red Trooper 3-pack. Have a fun and safe Fourth of July. Until next time HothChad out!”

24/7 S.C.A.L.P. Trooper“Here's another tiny report from the Northern Illinois area.

TRU (Gurnee, IL) “has the Wookiee Flyers & only 2 500th Vader figures.

The rest of the stores have been restocking older product. The peg warmers are as follows: Clone Pilots, Palpatines, Wookiee Warriors & any of the Jedi figures. That's all for now. Later.”

    M&M's Empire Toys
This week at Wal-Mart and Toys-R-Us I have seen all eight packs of the Star Wars M&M's Mpire toys. They are about the size of the Galactic Heroes line and cost seven dollars per pack! A bit high for me to justify purchasing them. Keep your eye's open for them at retail stores near you.
