Force of the Bay
Spiceowan has returned with some E-bay treats available to you currently at the world's online marketplace. It is hard to believe someone would save this old thing but for some reason this person did. I also ran into a version of the Death Star , I always wondered why the American version wasn't round like this one. I was so thrilled to get this ship for my 10th birthday, this one seems to be more expensive. Now get you a yellow jumpsuit, spend a lot more on a mask and pick up this to drive all the girls wild . This last one kinda hits close to home. Rumored to be standard issue around here soon as ordered by General Vaughn!
This weeks Power Sucka is this Sucka and I bet he wonders why it's been relisted. Thanks to Trooper Lustig for sending that one in. Remember if you see one send it in to me please, down with the scalping lying scum ! That's it for now Troops, Kick A$% and take names!

Kellogg's Canadian Promo Items
Hey Troopers,
With everything being pretty dry up here in Canada (no sign of Dajs Phur, Palpatine or Acklay yet) and rumours being that the stores up here aren't getting any more tri-logo toys, I thought I'd try to help those of you out in the US who I helped get started on the Kellogg's Rubik's cube collection. For starters I have about a dozen of the Jango/Clone cube (which I think is the coolest of the 6) which I am trying to trade for more Anakin/Vader and C-3PO/R2-D2 cubes to help complete others collections. Also for those of you who have doubles, the trading section at the snowtroopers.ca forum have many Canadians who are willing to trade the cubes. There is also a post there for anyone who still wants a Clonetrooper mask at cost. Better hurry though as this one won't last. BTW, I myself am finally sold out of them. I bought over 63 of them and have bought about 70 boxes of cereal for the cubes! Thanks for all the kind words from those of you whom I got them for. I was happy to help. That's all for now. Over and out.

Trooper Darth Zack reports:
Hey Troops! Just finished checking out the Target in NW Indiana (Valparaiso) and they just put up Accessory
packs (Hoth, Endor, Death Star, and Jedi Arena Battle). All are very cool and definately worth picking up since they not only include accessories but a figure as well. (Look out for the giant mouse droid in the Death Star pack). The Walmart there also had then ObiWan wave, which I know is old to everyone else, but I haven't seen them elsewhere in the region. Needless to say, it made me happy, I love the Chewbacca with the Light up C3PO! Anyway, I also wanted to let people know that Targets are starting their Transitions to Christmas with Toys and expanding what they are carrying. love the Masters of the universe stuff, especially Castle Greyskull! Enough for now, will report when new stuff arrives.

Trooper cplhritz reports:
hey troops, Just finished making my rounds in NW Indiana tonight, and scored the X-wing w/R2,they are not on the shelf yet,the Michigan City TRU got them in today and they were like come back tomorrow when everything is sorted, they only have 2 cases, they wouldn't open them up for me, then I went to the Merrillville TRU (stay on target) and they too just got them in today,I asked a girl(don't ask a guy) there to check it out and she got a box and let me take it out, case fresh, pretty sweet, she also looked up some other info and the distributing warehouse(in Chicago) has 1300 units,I don't know if that means cases or the actual number of X-wings all together. they also had the Unleashed figs. Jango and Ballerina Maul. No new figs, just the usual peg warmers. So try to get out there before the scalpers do and ask a girl that works there(not a guy, they don't know what's going on,and if he does know what's going on he is probley a scalper). Hey is there a date yet for the EPII DVD? IF anyone has any details do tell,I think they should put it out like the Pearl Harbor Directors Cut(4 discs) or the up coming Lord of the rings(5 discs) which comes out in December.thanks. Happy Birthday Troops,SEMPER FI and MTFBWY

Hi Everyone!
Been awhile since I posted last, but not much to see here in Indy
lately. Everywhere is still pretty dry except the Washington St. Target at Washington Square mall. I found all four of the new accessory packs along with the new micro machines ships and bantha. I really like the new accessory packs since they are throwing in a figure along with them. MUCH better than the cruddy Ep1 ones that came with a few lame items and that was it. That's about all here. Trooper Chris reports:
I have gotten a little annoyed at myself over the last few weeks and really PO'd today. I'm workin on my Aotc collection right now as well as trying to finish Episode 1 and Potj. The main figure I'm trying to get is R2 D2 from Aotc. When it first came out here in Edmonton, Canada I didn't see the need to get it right away because there was an abundance of them and they would be the common figures like Typho and C-3PO. Well little did I know they were the one that were very few in the cases. So I've been looking all over Edmonton and even further south like Calgary and Lethbridge with no success. So I figured I would resort to Ebay because I have bought Star Wars figures from there with out any problems and at decent prices with the convert to CDN $. So on the 26 I found one on Ebay for real cheap that was in mint and coming from Canada. So I placed a bid for it and got out bid because I didnt put a high enough max bid in. So that was fine and I went in earlier today and found one for a penny with a buy it now price of $6.99 US. I thinking OK good, this person ships internationally I'll place a bid and will get my R2 D2 figure. Wrong! $15 US to ship to Canada and no ifs, ands or buts about it.So if I was to bid and use the buy it now it would cost me at least $22 US for it. By the time I convert to Cdn and get a money order that's $40 - $50 Cdn. NO WAY! They were goin for $8 Cdn before. So for all you fellow troopers and collectors out there you can do me two things: tell this ebay user dmw819 from Long Beach, Cali to quit being a jerk to Canadians and help me find an AOTC R2 D2 for a real shipping price as I would be most greatful and wouldn't have to resort to that Ebay thing.

Spiceowan back on the offensive hot off Ponda Billy's tip that the X-Wings are in stores , I went to my local TRU and yes they confirmed that 8 X-Wings went out the door that morning. The clerk was more than helpful to my surprise and gave me some SKU #'s for the X-Wing and Landspeeder. I thought I'd pass them on to the Troops. X-Wing TRU # 560858 / Landspeeder 560850 . If you call you local Tru's and give the numbers you may be able to bother them as much as I do ! No Teemto or Ki Adi sightings as of yet.I have not seen any of the $1 clearance figures that I have been reading about. The cheapest in the area is K-Mart with the $3.49 sale. The Wal-marts in the Allentown, PA area got in the Ackley & the Micro machines action fleet Tie advanced, X-wing & the mill falcon micro machines. They were $9.96. Each of the boxes are practically display cases themselves with over 50% of the top, left side, back, & front all plastic. I think these are pretty cool, too bad they don't come with pilots though. Area Report
Spiceowan checking in for Northeast Illinois/ Southern Wisconsin. I have finally picked up an Acklay or two this week. I am pleased to say that I will have something to give a good thumbs up to in the review section! It is awesome ... even out of the box!! I also have been seeing listings on E-Bay for the Star Tours figures ending near $50.00 . I am not headed for Disney, the money you would spend getting there far outweighs the scalper price in my book. As Palpatine said "We may have to accept Trade Federation control, for the time being" . I am already recieving reports of conflicting reports on what or what the fan club is not doing about these figures. Look out Troops these may be another Toy Fair Vader in the making.Good Luck out there Troops Kick A$% and take names!!

Just writing to inform Albuquerque, NM residents that the TRU X-Wing Exclusive is temporarily in town at the TRU on Indian School. So far no sign of Acklay Beast, but plenty of Solo waves to be found around town. Barnes & Noble also had the Anakin Skywalker Masterpiece 12" thingy about a week ago. None of the newest waves of 3 3/4" figs have been seen by me anywhere, yet. Also, thank you Pheonix trooper for keeping us updated on what comes through town there, it seems that exactly one week after items appear there they appear here, (truck route maybe?) at least at TRU that seems to be fact. Anyway, happy hunting fellow troopettes & troopers.

Troops
I just was at Hasbro.com looking at Star Wars of course and saw something that caught my eye. If you go to the "exclusives" section and scroll to the very bottom to the Fan Club section, the last thing listed as being available to the Fan Club is a 3-pack Droid Set from Star Tours. I thought that someone had said that these were not going to go to the Fan Club at all. Hasbro.com shows availability of July/August. Has anyone else heard that these are going to the Fan Club? If so, then I am logging on to the Fan Club now to get in line (ha,ha -TF Vader)!!

From what I hear the fan club is denying that they will get them, but time will tell... For now, make friends with someone going to disney!

Hiya troopers, just a quick note with some news from the Gulf Coast of MS. Wal-Mart in Ocean Springs has a butt load of the newer figs, a whole wall still dedicated to SW! Obi pilots, Bespin Chewies, Endor Hans (white & gray levers), all sorts of goodies to drool over. Wal-Mart in Pascagoula has some of the newer figs too, Emperor Palpatine, Djas Phur, Endor Soldier. Its nice to see some of the new stuff hitting here in the outer rim so soon. On a more serious note, thanks to all my brothers in arms who gave words of encouragement during my rough time. We are indeed a brother (AND sister) hood who share a common interest. Thanks again. Thats it for this transmission.

Happy Birthday Sandtroopers!! I have not posted in a long time but I thought I would let you know that I love the site and it is the first site I check when I turn the computer on. I have met and traded with some really awesome people through Sandtroopers, especially my main man Mike Coszalter. Mike and I have made many excellent transactions over the past few months. Thanks again for the T-shirt Mike! Now on to the news. The Target store in Shoreview, MN has been hot the last couple of months. I have been able to find everything there the past couple of months so I have not had to do much store hunting. They have Acklays and most of the latest figures on the shelf. I have seen Chewies there several times too. I went to the opening of the new Target store in Lino Lakes, MN yesterday. They had the new Action Fleet sets but they did not have any other new stuff. I have yet to see Teemto, Ki-Adi, or the Target exclusive acessory sets.
Finally, I need some help. I only have 4 hard to find figs left to complete my collection: Sio Biddle, Pit Droid 2-pack, Amidala w/ ascension gun, and Sacul. I have 2 TC-14s and an R2-B1 that I would be willing to trade for any of them. Also, if anyone(like customizers) out there needs any of the easy to find nonvaluable EP1 figs, I have a bunch that I would like to get rid of cheap.
Again, keep up the great work Sandtroopers!

Trooper Jeffred5 reports:
Hey Troopers,
I know I am a day late and a dollar short but, I just wanted to remind everyone that even though the K-Mart sale, for $3.50 Saga Action Figures, sucked because K-Mart has had the worst selection of any major store, there was another option. Most of the major store chains like K-Mart, Wal-Mart, and TRU will match any competitors advertised sale price. So, I just went to a Super Wal-Mart with the add paper and they had a great selection, so I picked up 10 figures @ the K-Mart sale price of $3.49 each. So, remember that next time any of them advertises a sale on Star Wars (which you know they will) it's like they all are having a sale on Star Wars. Happy hunting and MTFBWY

I am asking for help from the troops
I have a trade that may have gone bad...I am being more than patient with him right now...
My question is has anyone ever traded with Jason Moorhouse from Baltimore, MD?? I have a trade that has been in the works for a month. I was to recieve 90 loose figs from him but when the package arrived it had just 55 of the 90 in it. After I emailed him, he apologized and said that the remaining 35 were in a display that he was taking down and that he would ship them to me. That was a month ago and now I can't get him to email me back. If anyone has dealt with him in the past please LMK. Hopefully we can get this worked out.

there know that I still have a good deal of figures for sale or trade. Trade items that I'm looking for are:
Ammo Wagon and falumpaset
Trade federation Battle Tank
Sith Lord two pack 3 3/4"
Playskool Millenium Falcon
Playskool Episode II Arena Playset
E-mail me at: darkravenef@hotmail.com
Second, I wanted to send a shout out to Mike Coszalter. I just completed my first trade on Sandtroopers and Mike was the best. Very honest and very easy to deal with. Put him on your trade list if you have one.
Third, I wanted to send in my latest piece in the Jedi Series. This is the second in a series of five. It is Obi-Wan and Anakin (Master and Apprentice). The first piece was posted earlier in July. Please let me know what you think. As I stated before, I'm planning on making prints and selling them. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and as always, together we find!

Hello,
JediDaxter here. Here's a link (below) for my General's Petition that aren't getting in to many signatures at the moment. This petition is a combined one for General Jan Dodonna (ANH), General Carlist Rieekan (ESB), and Admiral Ozzel (ESB). I've seen many request for Hasbro to make these in the past, and that hasn't happened yet. So, Hasbro should get the idea that we do want these sculpted. Even I would want to add these to my collection. Well, good bye for now, and please sign.

Trooper Tim reports:
Well, I made the trip to Disneyland this weekend with family in tow. Man I couldn't have picked a more busy day. Made my way though the throngs of locals and tourist alike to reach the beloved Star Trader shop where you can find the likes of star wars memorabilia not to be seen anywhere else. But to my dismay the exclusive star tour figures where not there. Bummer! I asked a friendly cast member when they expect to put them out and his response was August. Ahhhggg!!!! Two weeks to early. I did pick up a couple of nice things though. A Mos Eisley Cantina Beer Glass, A Jedi Academy sticker for my truck and a Nice Star Wars Visor. All in all it was a good day.

Moving
Hey Troops, I haven't been posting much lately. I was on vacation for a week and now I am getting ready to move. My wife, son and I are moving to Lafayette, IN from Ionia, MI in a couple of weeks so I can attend Purdue. I was wondering if there are any troops in the area and what the state of collecting is like in Lafayette? Drop me an email if you like. I will be making some posts in the coming weeks, but probably not many.

I went to my K-Mart today, with the special $3.49 price, and found some good figures. They had the new Nexu beast and the Anakin Deluxe with Geonosian Warrior. They had some older AOTC figures, but they had a news Mace Windu in and Final Battle Jango Fett. The Anakin deluxe was $9.00 when I rang it up. I asked an associate there about and he said he didn't know why it had that price. He said to just take advantage of it, so I got Anakin deluxe and Jango Deluxe for $9.00 each.

Hey all,
It's been awhile since I've posted, but here we go... Went to the Washington St. KMart in Indy tonight and they have ALL basic figures marked down to $3.49!! Heck of a deal for army builders and the like.
Next stop was Wal Mart on 96th St. in Fishers but some scalper slimebag was in there buying each and every Yoda, Dooku, and Anakin Hangar Duel. Hmmm, wonder why they are "VHTF"? This guy had no trouble at all finding a mounded CARTFUL of them. Looked like they had just gotten a shipment in. Much to my dismay, he was making a TREMENDOUS mess of the Star Wars display, I absolutely HATE that!! I'm usually the guy who helps put the stuff back on the pegs since I can't stand to see it a mess! Anyway,I had to leave, I just couldn't stand the rank smell that hung in the air... Ki Adi and Teemto blew in and out of here faster than you can say "Wampa" they'll come back, and in greater numbers. Still waiting on the X-Wing to show up. Good luck! MTFBY!!

Trooper Lex-Wan (Cantina Showdown) reports Trubble Bubbles:
Not COBRA's Flight Pod, no ... Yup, that's right, another change to an inner bubble, this time it's Ki-Adi-Mundi. Take a look at the image & notice that 1 fig has a plastic holder for the tip of the lightsaber that is part of the inner bubble, while the other fig which was made later by nearly a month just has a lightsaber tray & is taped in. Also tape has been added to the front right blast effect to hold it in better.
Yes another, what's that you say you need another packaging variant (inner blister change) to Anakin Hanger duel so he can catch up with Anakin Outland digs? Well okay here it is, if you look closely at his right arm the older figs have a weird piece of plastic (attached to the inner bubble, part of it actually) that goes over his arm. This other fig doesn't have that, the plastic has been changed yet again. it could be an error too - they might not have cut the plastic out. The date stamps are the same date so it's anybody's guess! I'm starting to get variation/error overload from the Saga line *shibby shibby* what to do now that there is 2 inner blister changes & 2 sticker changes on this fig? Way to go Hasbro, that's using your noodle. I swear they must have put my little nephew in charge of package designs over there "Na, I don't like it this way, let's do it thisaway." Yours, Lex-wan

Internet Headlines for Saturday, 7-20-2002
More Star Tours - Well, to entice the hardcore collectors' interest in Star Tours figures, the next release appears to be an Astromech Droid, as reported at Rebelscum. RS brings a photo of R3-D3 with clear dome and white/blue deco.
Jedi don't go Commando - Another 'Ask the Lucasfilm Jedi Council' poses - "Why was Plo Koon and Ki-Adi-Mundi's commando raid on the Droid Control Ship cut from the final edit of Attack of the Clones?" You see, a Jedi attack force battled its way up the ship's ramp, through doorways, down halls, and into the bridge of the ship. The scene was filled with much swordplay and stunts. So why wasn't this action sequence included? Read the usual rhetoric here.
Stand-out Jedi - The Official Site's databank grows with the addition of key Jedi involved in the Geonosis battle that preluded the Clone Wars. Eight images and Jedi, including Bultar Swan and Kit Fisto. Interestingly, most of the Jedi pictured are either female and/or markedly visually ethnic. View them here.
Deluxe Figure Images - R2N has updated again, this time adding the forthcoming Deluxe Yoda (and the Super Battle Droid and factory portion) and C-3PO (and assembly line and red battle droid) to their guides. See them at Artoosnews, a collage of poses for each set.
'On an average day, more than 40,000 "Star Wars" items are up for bid at eBay' - TFN brings an article in the New Mexico Business Weekly on the endurance of collecting Star Wars memorabilia. A qoute: "Unlike the niche markets for most entertainment memorabilia, 'Star Wars' is broad enough to be self-sustaining. This summer's 'Celebration 2' saw exclusive merchandise, including an action figure of Lucas as an X-Wing pilot." Read the rest here at TFN.
Tomorrow's headlines will feature new contests for the new week.

Trooper Mitb'ret'turuodo reports:
Found the Teemto and Ki Adi figures at Wal-Mart in Washington, MO. The pegs were full of the two along with Chewie, Obi Pilot, Endor Han, Djas Phur, Palpatine, and the Deluxe Anakin and Nexu. Still have yet to find the Acklay.
Also, during C2 I ordered the Pass Set, but never received it. I made several phone calls inquiring where mine was at. The only answer I got was that my order form got lost, and since I paid with cash and there is no receipt to verify that I did indeed buy the set I was S.O.L. So I guess what I am saying is, if anyone has an extra set could you please find it in your heart to help a Trooper out who got reemed? Just drop me a line at brn603@fidnet.com

Trooper Lex-Wan reports on new arrivals from SW and other cool lines:
Yo diddly! It's Lex-wan with the Friday afternoon store reports. It's not all Star Wars but it is interesting. My Kmart verified today that their sale on Star Wars figs will be held this Sunday & Monday and the figs should be like $3.50 each but they don't know if they're gonna get new stock so little troops & troopettes ya might wanna save some cash for the sale if they get new stuff in. Kbtoys at my local mall got in 2 cases of the Teemto wave & some bloody arm Luke's & also they got in the Simpson's wave 9 figs at 7.99 per fig (ouch steep) .Wal-marts got in no new Star Wars but did get in the Transformer Armada boxed wave, Starscream - he was 19.98 & so was red alert but the tank megatron was 24.98. Also they got in the new He-man figs at 11.88 per fig. Other than that not too much else here in mid east PA.
I too want to thank Frank out of NY for yet another awesome interaction if ya got nothin to trade& I got them I'll give em to ya for cost & ship that's my motto Sandtroopers forever (I still think we need Sandtroopers.com member T-shirts) Lex-doood-Kenobi debalus@att.net

Trooper Jeff reports:
Hey Troopers,
I am posting a Bounty on the Sneak Preview R3-T7 or any Clonetroopers that are on clearance sales. I have heard that some of the major chain stores are putting these preview figures on clearance for a $1.00 to $2.00 and I have decided to try my hand at customizing figures. I have never had the guts to try this before because I still remember some of my friends, when were still kids, "customizing" figures with lighters and firecrackers. But, what has pushed me into trying to make custom figures is the way they make figures now. They look great in the package and they have many more points of articulation than the older figures, but it doesn't matter because you can't put them in any position other than the one they came in. That's fine for most of the figures if you are into making Dioramas or other displays, but it's a little boring for kids to play with so their only option is to buy several figures of the same character and it looks stupid if you are trying to set up and army of figures all in the same position and you can't even have them in formation, like if they are waiting for Vader to come off his shuttle. The worst part is when they release a vehicle, but won't release the figure that fits in it until months later (like the Jedi Starfighter and Obi-Wan Pilot or Slave I and the Jango Fett Pilot figure that still isn't out yet).
So, please help me get as many of these cheap figures that you can
find. You can count on me buying as many of the R3-T7 and Clonetrooper figures as you can find for up to $2.00, but if you find any other cheap figures let me know and I might want them too. I prefer the figures to be on the card but I will accept Loose and complete figures. I will pay a finders fee that will very depending on how many figures and what they cost. Thanks, and I hope to hear from some of you soon so I can get started.

Hi troops,
I just spotted a Teebo and an R4 droid from the Bo-Shek wave (no Bo) atthe local Sunset Motion Picture Co. I know that some troopers want
these, but they're a little pricey at $9.88 each. However, if you really want them, maybe we could work out a trade, if they're still there when I go back. I'm looking for the yellow and red 12" clone troopers. I'd balance the trade by throwing in some cashola.
