Force of the Bay
Spiceowan has returned with some E-bay treats available to you currently at the world's online marketplace. It is hard to believe someone would save this old thing but for some reason this person did. I also ran into a version of the Death Star , I always wondered why the American version wasn't round like this one. I was so thrilled to get this ship for my 10th birthday, this one seems to be more expensive. Now get you a yellow jumpsuit, spend a lot more on a mask and pick up this to drive all the girls wild . This last one kinda hits close to home. Rumored to be standard issue around here soon as ordered by General Vaughn!

This weeks Power Sucka is this Sucka and I bet he wonders why it's been relisted. Thanks to Trooper Lustig for sending that one in. Remember if you see one send it in to me please, down with the scalping lying scum ! That's it for now Troops, Kick A$% and take names!

Kellogg's Canadian Promo Items
Hey Troopers,
With everything being pretty dry up here in Canada (no sign of Dajs Phur, Palpatine or Acklay yet) and rumours being that the stores up here aren't getting any more tri-logo toys, I thought I'd try to help those of you out in the US who I helped get started on the Kellogg's Rubik's cube collection. For starters I have about a dozen of the Jango/Clone cube (which I think is the coolest of the 6) which I am trying to trade for more Anakin/Vader and C-3PO/R2-D2 cubes to help complete others collections. Also for those of you who have doubles, the trading section at the snowtroopers.ca forum have many Canadians who are willing to trade the cubes. There is also a post there for anyone who still wants a Clonetrooper mask at cost. Better hurry though as this one won't last. BTW, I myself am finally sold out of them. I bought over 63 of them and have bought about 70 boxes of cereal for the cubes! Thanks for all the kind words from those of you whom I got them for. I was happy to help. That's all for now. Over and out.

Trooper Darth Zack reports:
Hey Troops! Just finished checking out the Target in NW Indiana (Valparaiso) and they just put up Accessory
packs (Hoth, Endor, Death Star, and Jedi Arena Battle). All are very cool and definately worth picking up since they not only include accessories but a figure as well. (Look out for the giant mouse droid in the Death Star pack). The Walmart there also had then ObiWan wave, which I know is old to everyone else, but I haven't seen them elsewhere in the region. Needless to say, it made me happy, I love the Chewbacca with the Light up C3PO! Anyway, I also wanted to let people know that Targets are starting their Transitions to Christmas with Toys and expanding what they are carrying. love the Masters of the universe stuff, especially Castle Greyskull! Enough for now, will report when new stuff arrives.

    Trooper cplhritz reports:
hey troops, Just finished making my rounds in NW Indiana tonight, and scored the X-wing w/R2,they are not on the shelf yet,the Michigan City TRU got them in today and they were like come back tomorrow when everything is sorted, they only have 2 cases, they wouldn't open them up for me, then I went to the Merrillville TRU (stay on target) and they too just got them in today,I asked a girl(don't ask a guy) there to check it out and she got a box and let me take it out, case fresh, pretty sweet, she also looked up some other info and the distributing warehouse(in Chicago) has 1300 units,I don't know if that means cases or the actual number of X-wings all together. they also had the Unleashed figs. Jango and Ballerina Maul. No new figs, just the usual peg warmers. So try to get out there before the scalpers do and ask a girl that works there(not a guy, they don't know what's going on,and if he does know what's going on he is probley a scalper). Hey is there a date yet for the EPII DVD? IF anyone has any details do tell,I think they should put it out like the Pearl Harbor Directors Cut(4 discs) or the up coming Lord of the rings(5 discs) which comes out in December.thanks. Happy Birthday Troops,SEMPER FI and MTFBWY

    Hi Everyone!
Been awhile since I posted last, but not much to see here in Indy
lately. Everywhere is still pretty dry except the Washington St. Target at Washington Square mall. I found all four of the new accessory packs along with the new micro machines ships and bantha. I really like the new accessory packs since they are throwing in a figure along with them. MUCH better than the cruddy Ep1 ones that came with a few lame items and that was it. That's about all here. Trooper Chris reports:
I have gotten a little annoyed at myself over the last few weeks and really PO'd today. I'm workin on my Aotc collection right now as well as trying to finish Episode 1 and Potj. The main figure I'm trying to get is R2 D2 from Aotc. When it first came out here in Edmonton, Canada I didn't see the need to get it right away because there was an abundance of them and they would be the common figures like Typho and C-3PO. Well little did I know they were the one that were very few in the cases. So I've been looking all over Edmonton and even further south like Calgary and Lethbridge with no success. So I figured I would resort to Ebay because I have bought Star Wars figures from there with out any problems and at decent prices with the convert to CDN $. So on the 26 I found one on Ebay for real cheap that was in mint and coming from Canada. So I placed a bid for it and got out bid because I didnt put a high enough max bid in. So that was fine and I went in earlier today and found one for a penny with a buy it now price of $6.99 US. I thinking OK good, this person ships internationally I'll place a bid and will get my R2 D2 figure. Wrong! $15 US to ship to Canada and no ifs, ands or buts about it.So if I was to bid and use the buy it now it would cost me at least $22 US for it. By the time I convert to Cdn and get a money order that's $40 - $50 Cdn. NO WAY! They were goin for $8 Cdn before. So for all you fellow troopers and collectors out there you can do me two things: tell this ebay user dmw819 from Long Beach, Cali to quit being a jerk to Canadians and help me find an AOTC R2 D2 for a real shipping price as I would be most greatful and wouldn't have to resort to that Ebay thing.

    Area Report
Spiceowan back on the offensive hot off Ponda Billy's tip that the X-Wings are in stores , I went to my local TRU and yes they confirmed that 8 X-Wings went out the door that morning. The clerk was more than helpful to my surprise and gave me some SKU #'s for the X-Wing and Landspeeder. I thought I'd pass them on to the Troops. X-Wing TRU # 560858 / Landspeeder 560850 . If you call you local Tru's and give the numbers you may be able to bother them as much as I do ! No Teemto or Ki Adi sightings as of yet.I have not seen any of the $1 clearance figures that I have been reading about. The cheapest in the area is K-Mart with the $3.49 sale. Good Luck out there Troops Kick A$% and take names!

The Wal-marts in the Allentown, PA area got in the Ackley & the Micro machines action fleet Tie advanced, X-wing & the mill falcon micro machines. They were $9.96. Each of the boxes are practically display cases themselves with over 50% of the top, left side, back, & front all plastic. I think these are pretty cool, too bad they don't come with pilots though. Area Report
Spiceowan checking in for Northeast Illinois/ Southern Wisconsin. I have finally picked up an Acklay or two this week. I am pleased to say that I will have something to give a good thumbs up to in the review section! It is awesome ... even out of the box!! I also have been seeing listings on E-Bay for the Star Tours figures ending near $50.00 . I am not headed for Disney, the money you would spend getting there far outweighs the scalper price in my book. As Palpatine said "We may have to accept Trade Federation control, for the time being" . I am already recieving reports of conflicting reports on what or what the fan club is not doing about these figures. Look out Troops these may be another Toy Fair Vader in the making.Good Luck out there Troops Kick A$% and take names!!

    Hey Albuquerqian Troopers,
Just writing to inform Albuquerque, NM residents that the TRU X-Wing Exclusive is temporarily in town at the TRU on Indian School. So far no sign of Acklay Beast, but plenty of Solo waves to be found around town. Barnes & Noble also had the Anakin Skywalker Masterpiece 12" thingy about a week ago. None of the newest waves of 3 3/4" figs have been seen by me anywhere, yet. Also, thank you Pheonix trooper for keeping us updated on what comes through town there, it seems that exactly one week after items appear there they appear here, (truck route maybe?) at least at TRU that seems to be fact. Anyway, happy hunting fellow troopettes & troopers.

I just was at Hasbro.com looking at Star Wars of course and saw something that caught my eye. If you go to the "exclusives" section and scroll to the very bottom to the Fan Club section, the last thing listed as being available to the Fan Club is a 3-pack Droid Set from Star Tours. I thought that someone had said that these were not going to go to the Fan Club at all. Hasbro.com shows availability of July/August. Has anyone else heard that these are going to the Fan Club? If so, then I am logging on to the Fan Club now to get in line (ha,ha -TF Vader)!!

From what I hear the fan club is denying that they will get them, but time will tell... For now, make friends with someone going to disney!

Obi pilots, Bespin Chewies, Endor Hans (white & gray levers), all sorts of goodies to drool over. Wal-Mart in Pascagoula has some of the newer figs too, Emperor Palpatine, Djas Phur, Endor Soldier. Its nice to see some of the new stuff hitting here in the outer rim so soon. On a more serious note, thanks to all my brothers in arms who gave words of encouragement during my rough time. Happy Birthday Sandtroopers!! I have not posted in a long time but I thought I would let you know that I love the site and it is the first site I check when I turn the computer on. I have met and traded with some really awesome people through Sandtroopers, especially my main man Mike Coszalter. Mike and I have made many excellent transactions over the past few months. Thanks again for the T-shirt Mike! Now on to the news. The Target store in Shoreview, MN has been hot the last couple of months. I have been able to find everything there the past couple of months so I have not had to do much store hunting. They have Acklays and most of the latest figures on the shelf. I have seen Chewies there several times too. I went to the opening of the new Target store in Lino Lakes, MN yesterday. They had the new Action Fleet sets but they did not have any other new stuff. I have yet to see Teemto, Ki-Adi, or the Target exclusive acessory sets.

Finally, I need some help. I only have 4 hard to find figs left to complete my collection: Sio Biddle, Pit Droid 2-pack, Amidala w/ ascension gun, and Sacul. I have 2 TC-14s and an R2-B1 that I would be willing to trade for any of them. Also, if anyone(like customizers) out there needs any of the easy to find nonvaluable EP1 figs, I have a bunch that I would like to get rid of cheap.

Again, keep up the great work Sandtroopers!

    Hey Troopers,
I know I am a day late and a dollar short but, I just wanted to remind everyone that even though the K-Mart sale, for $3.50 Saga Action Figures, sucked because K-Mart has had the worst selection of any major store, there was another option. Most of the major store chains like K-Mart, Wal-Mart, and TRU will match any competitors advertised sale price. So, I just went to a Super Wal-Mart with the add paper and they had a great selection, so I picked up 10 figures @ the K-Mart sale price of $3.49 each. So, remember that next time any of them advertises a sale on Star Wars (which you know they will) it's like they all are having a sale on Star Wars. Happy hunting and MTFBWY

I was to recieve 90 loose figs from him but when the package arrived it had just 55 of the 90 in it. After I emailed him, he apologized and said that the remaining 35 were in a display that he was taking down and that he would ship them to me. That was a month ago and now I can't get him to email me back. If anyone has dealt with him in the past please LMK. Hopefully we can get this worked out.

I'm from the UK and managed to get some of those 3D starpics from the Frito Lay crisps - but I need 4 to complete a set - Obi-Wan, Dooku, Anakin and, of course, the Clonetroopers.

I'm not bothered about the colours, but I would like a set of the characters. Can anybody help me out?

Hey troops just wanted to drop a quick note for my fellow puertorican collectors. Walmart Super Center in Cayey has received a mother load of Djas Puhr, Chewie, Han (Endor Raid), DLX Nexu/Anakin, Dookus and Yodas to fulfil any scalpers dream 2 months ago. Some collectors (that stay in touch since I retired) from the area have asked me how things are at that store and they were very dry until today; Figures are $5.88 (tax free) and also they have received the unleashed Maul/Jango for $17.99 (also tax free), I'm retired but I frequent the store almost daily for Photo service as they do have the latest in FUJI processing, 1 week to transfer a slide to print in MN VS 1hour @ Walmart. I'll keep my old fellows posted if something else comes up. Also trooper RMS, you have asked for these figures 'bout a week ago, there they are.

This petition is a combined one for General Jan Dodonna (ANH), General Carlist Rieekan (ESB), and Admiral Ozzel (ESB). I've seen many request for Hasbro to make these in the past, and that hasn't happened yet. So, Hasbro should get the idea that we do want these sculpted. Even I would want to add these to my collection. Well, good bye for now, and please sign.

Well, I made the trip to Disneyland this weekend with family in tow. Man I couldn't have picked a more busy day. Made my way though the throngs of locals and tourist alike to reach the beloved Star Trader shop where you can find the likes of star wars memorabilia not to be seen anywhere else. But to my dismay the exclusive star tour figures where not there. Bummer! I asked a friendly cast member when they expect to put them out and his response was August. Ahhhggg!!!! Two weeks to early. I did pick up a couple of nice things though. A Mos Eisley Cantina Beer Glass, A Jedi Academy sticker for my truck and a Nice Star Wars Visor. All in all it was a good day.

I went to my K-Mart today, with the special $3.49 price, and found some good figures. They had the new Nexu beast and the Anakin Deluxe with Geonosian Warrior. They had some older AOTC figures, but they had a news Mace Windu in and Final Battle Jango Fett. The Anakin deluxe was $9.00 when I rang it up. I asked an associate there about and he said he didn't know why it had that price. He said to just take advantage of it, so I got Anakin deluxe and Jango Deluxe for $9.00 each.

    Hey all,
It's been awhile since I've posted, but here we go... Went to the Washington St. KMart in Indy tonight and they have ALL basic figures marked down to $3.49!! Heck of a deal for army builders and the like.

Next stop was Wal Mart on 96th St. in Fishers but some scalper slimebag was in there buying each and every Yoda, Dooku, and Anakin Hangar Duel. Hmmm, wonder why they are "VHTF"? This guy had no trouble at all finding a mounded CARTFUL of them. Looked like they had just gotten a shipment in. Much to my dismay, he was making a TREMENDOUS mess of the Star Wars display, I absolutely HATE that!! I'm usually the guy who helps put the stuff back on the pegs since I can't stand to see it a mess! Anyway,I had to leave, I just couldn't stand the rank smell that hung in the air... Ki Adi and Teemto blew in and out of here faster than you can say "Wampa" they'll come back, and in greater numbers. Still waiting on the X-Wing to show up. Good luck! MTFBY!!

Trooper Lex-Wan (Cantina Showdown) reports Trubble Bubbles:
Not COBRA's Flight Pod, no ... Yup, that's right, another change to an inner bubble, this time it's Ki-Adi-Mundi. Take a look at the image & notice that 1 fig has a plastic holder for the tip of the lightsaber that is part of the inner bubble, while the other fig which was made later by nearly a month just has a lightsaber tray & is taped in. Also tape has been added to the front right blast effect to hold it in better.

Yes another, what's that you say you need another packaging variant (inner blister change) to Anakin Hanger duel so he can catch up with Anakin Outland digs? Well okay here it is, if you look closely at his right arm the older figs have a weird piece of plastic (attached to the inner bubble, part of it actually) that goes over his arm. This other fig doesn't have that, the plastic has been changed yet again. it could be an error too - they might not have cut the plastic out. The date stamps are the same date so it's anybody's guess! I'm starting to get variation/error overload from the Saga line *shibby shibby* what to do now that there is 2 inner blister changes & 2 sticker changes on this fig? Way to go Hasbro, that's using your noodle. I swear they must have put my little nephew in charge of package designs over there "Na, I don't like it this way, let's do it thisaway." Yours, Lex-wan

    Internet Headlines for Saturday, 7-20-2002
More Star Tours - Well, to entice the hardcore collectors' interest in Star Tours figures, the next release appears to be an Astromech Droid, as reported at Rebelscum. RS brings a photo of R3-D3 with clear dome and white/blue deco.

Jedi don't go Commando - Another 'Ask the Lucasfilm Jedi Council' poses - "Why was Plo Koon and Ki-Adi-Mundi's commando raid on the Droid Control Ship cut from the final edit of Attack of the Clones?" You see, a Jedi attack force battled its way up the ship's ramp, through doorways, down halls, and into the bridge of the ship. The scene was filled with much swordplay and stunts. So why wasn't this action sequence included? Read the usual rhetoric here.

Stand-out Jedi - The Official Site's databank grows with the addition of key Jedi involved in the Geonosis battle that preluded the Clone Wars. Eight images and Jedi, including Bultar Swan and Kit Fisto. Interestingly, most of the Jedi pictured are either female and/or markedly visually ethnic. View them here.

Deluxe Figure Images - R2N has updated again, this time adding the forthcoming Deluxe Yoda (and the Super Battle Droid and factory portion) and C-3PO (and assembly line and red battle droid) to their guides. See them at Artoosnews, a collage of poses for each set.

'On an average day, more than 40,000 "Star Wars" items are up for bid at eBay' - TFN brings an article in the New Mexico Business Weekly on the endurance of collecting Star Wars memorabilia. A qoute: "Unlike the niche markets for most entertainment memorabilia, 'Star Wars' is broad enough to be self-sustaining. This summer's 'Celebration 2' saw exclusive merchandise, including an action figure of Lucas as an X-Wing pilot." Read the rest here at TFN.

  • Tomorrow's headlines will feature new contests for the new week.

Found the Teemto and Ki Adi figures at Wal-Mart in Washington, MO. The pegs were full of the two along with Chewie, Obi Pilot, Endor Han, Djas Phur, Palpatine, and the Deluxe Anakin and Nexu. Still have yet to find the Acklay.

Also, during C2 I ordered the Pass Set, but never received it. I made several phone calls inquiring where mine was at. The only answer I got was that my order form got lost, and since I paid with cash and there is no receipt to verify that I did indeed buy the set I was S.O.L. So I guess what I am saying is, if anyone has an extra set could you please find it in your heart to help a Trooper out who got reemed? Just drop me a line at brn603@fidnet.com

Hey Troops, anyone out there in need of POTF Action Fleet ships or battle packs? I have almost a full set of each, a few have previously been traded away. Would like to trade for any E2 figs. and ships and in particular the newer AtSt with Ewok. If interested send me a line at epta@telus.net and I can tell you exactly what I got and am looking for. On a collecting note I am happy to say that it has been fairly good up here in British Columbia but I feel that it will be slowing down now and I won't see many of the newer figs. thus I look to you to help a fellow trooper out. Keep up the excellent work Sandtroopers - best site on the net.

Hey troops nothing new to report, but Peninsula Comics is going out of business. For all those that live near San Mateo, CA; they have allot of comics on sale 30% off and more. They had some Star Wars POTF-2 line and one Vintage Power of the Force figure I forget which one it was, but he had it for $175.00. Many Simpson figures as well as Spawn. There is a lot of stuff so go because you never know what you may find.

Trooper Lex-Wan reports on new arrivals from SW and other cool lines:
Yo diddly! It's Lex-wan with the Friday afternoon store reports. It's not all Star Wars but it is interesting. My Kmart verified today that their sale on Star Wars figs will be held this Sunday & Monday and the figs should be like $3.50 each but they don't know if they're gonna get new stock so little troops & troopettes ya might wanna save some cash for the sale if they get new stuff in. Kbtoys at my local mall got in 2 cases of the Teemto wave & some bloody arm Luke's & also they got in the Simpson's wave 9 figs at 7.99 per fig (ouch steep) .Wal-marts got in no new Star Wars but did get in the Transformer Armada boxed wave, Starscream - he was 19.98 & so was red alert but the tank megatron was 24.98. Also they got in the new He-man figs at 11.88 per fig. Other than that not too much else here in mid east PA.
I too want to thank Frank out of NY for yet another awesome interaction if ya got nothin to trade& I got them I'll give em to ya for cost & ship that's my motto Sandtroopers forever (I still think we need Sandtroopers.com member T-shirts) Lex-doood-Kenobi debalus@att.net

    Trooper Jeff reports:
    Hey Troopers,
I am posting a Bounty on the Sneak Preview R3-T7 or any Clonetroopers that are on clearance sales. I have heard that some of the major chain stores are putting these preview figures on clearance for a $1.00 to $2.00 and I have decided to try my hand at customizing figures. I have never had the guts to try this before because I still remember some of my friends, when were still kids, "customizing" figures with lighters and firecrackers. But, what has pushed me into trying to make custom figures is the way they make figures now. They look great in the package and they have many more points of articulation than the older figures, but it doesn't matter because you can't put them in any position other than the one they came in. That's fine for most of the figures if you are into making Dioramas or other displays, but it's a little boring for kids to play with so their only option is to buy several figures of the same character and it looks stupid if you are trying to set up and army of figures all in the same position and you can't even have them in formation, like if they are waiting for Vader to come off his shuttle. The worst part is when they release a vehicle, but won't release the figure that fits in it until months later (like the Jedi Starfighter and Obi-Wan Pilot or Slave I and the Jango Fett Pilot figure that still isn't out yet).

So, please help me get as many of these cheap figures that you can
find. You can count on me buying as many of the R3-T7 and Clonetrooper figures as you can find for up to $2.00, but if you find any other cheap figures let me know and I might want them too. I prefer the figures to be on the card but I will accept Loose and complete figures. I will pay a finders fee that will very depending on how many figures and what they cost. Thanks, and I hope to hear from some of you soon so I can get started.

    Hi troops,
I just spotted a Teebo and an R4 droid from the Bo-Shek wave (no Bo) atthe local Sunset Motion Picture Co. I know that some troopers want
these, but they're a little pricey at $9.88 each. However, if you really want them, maybe we could work out a trade, if they're still there when I go back. I'm looking for the yellow and red 12" clone troopers. I'd balance the trade by throwing in some cashola.

Lott Dod and Massiff with Tusken Raider first look! - Rebelscum brings carded high-quality photos of this Fall's Lott Dod with removable headpiece and Sidious hologram, and Massiff repackaged with an old POTJ Tusken Raider for Episode II [ed. note - frankly Troops, I can't swallow this regurgitated tripe of a repackaged POTJ figure, oh well.] - enjoy this early peak at RS.com

Latest Wave of SAGA Figures - R2N.com has compiled very readable collages for each of these newer figures: Darth Maul (Sith Training), Teemto Pagalies (Podracer), Anakin (Tatooine), and the hard-to-find Acklay (1 and 2).

Boba Fett headgear inconsistency - SSG.com brings a comparison shot of AOTC Boba Fett's helmets. One appears smaller than the other and the most notable difference is the much shorter antennae on the helmet to the left. I mean, what are we to believe that this is a running change? See the comparison here.

"He's probably going to fetch the old man his pipe and slippers" - The late Peter Cushing insisted "These boots are killing me." Subsequently, many of the shots of Grand Moff Tarkin in 'Star Wars' do not include his lower legs. I'm sure the Screen Actor's Guild pulled some strings to let this happen, at StarWars.com.

Sith shows his teeth - In a move more akin to Lando, Dooku grins with Lucas while wearing a plaid blazer; this, the latest nonsense in The Official Site's 'Image Attack.'

Well i finally came across some hard to find figures on my own, without having to trade for them with the great people on this site. Last night at a long island,n.y. kay-bee i found 4 BLOODY BESPIN LUKES buried at the bottom of a bin! I couldn't belive it, i was so excited! I've seen these figures selling on the toy store web sites, and in local shops, for anywhere between $35 and $75. But i think that's a little high. I'm keeping 1 for my collection but the other 3 i would like to trade, for any of the following figures from the FREEZE FRAME series in N.M. / MINT packaging: GARINDAN, REE-YEES, ZUCKUSS, ISHI TIB, EMPEROR'S ROYAL GUARD, SNOWTROOPER, DEATH STAR TROOPER. Also looking for a DEXTER JETTSTER with the word "PIPE" showing. And a COUNT DOOKU with the SIDIOUS HOLO head tilted down looking at the floor. There are some other figures I'm looking for but these are my main wants. If any one wants to do a trade, or has something else to offer, please write me! THANKS!

Ten Inch Hasbro Vinyl Figures - TFN brings us images of the first four figures in the new Hasbro Vinyl Figure assortment (similar to the earlier Applause SW product). The first wave includes Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader, Jango Fett, and Mace Windu. See the article and images here.

The recreation of 1970s-era graphical technology - At StarWars.com, this one was actually rather entertaining to read and gives some insight in how the folks at Lucasfilm render the computer screen and visual readout displays. Some nice screen grabs including Jango's instrument panel on Slave 1.

Tauntaun and Luke Twelve-inch - Rebelscum has compiled a ten-image gallery spread of the upcoming 12" Tauntaun with Luke (TRU-exclusive), photos include loose and packaged.

Anakin Skywalker (Tatooine Attack) wave images - At SSG, newly captured loose and packaged images of Darth Maul (Sith Training), Anakin Skywalker (Tatooine Attack), Ki-Adi-Mundi (Jedi Master)and Teemto Pagalies (Pod Racer). see yesterday's headlines for an exhaustive current Contest listing.

    Hi,

Just thought I'd give a small review of the newest set of Pepsi bottlecaps to come out of Japan. They're great! Better than the last set. Due to their size a few are somewhat crude looking, so perfectionists may not like them. But most are quite good, and for what they are..basically cheap plastic give-aways...they're still VERY nice. And some, like the full head caps are VERY good. If you have a chance to get them, do it! There are 52 in the basic set, with 2 'special' extra caps. Plus, there are 16 different wrappers that they come in.

By the way, does anyone know how many wrappers were in the first set 3 years ago?

    Trooper Tim reports:
California Tim reporting from foggy San Francisco. Went out today and saw that the Han grey button Solo fig is stating to hit the streets, especially Target and KB. I also found a Mace with the red droid. Get out there you variant hunters because this stuff is starting to hit the shelves. Ive noticed lately that the SW section of most stores is starting to shrink and theyre not putting anything out that would really bolster their floor stock. TRU in Colma basically had Kitt, C-3PO, Zam, and JJ Binks. Pretty pathetic. However, Target in Foster City received the new Han, Obi pilot, and Chewie so kudos to them. Only 41 more days until Burning Man!! Woo hoo!! MTFBWY.

Trooper Lex-Wan (Jedi Knight) reports with Teemto Wave sighting, Han Endor error, and Fan Club/Star Tours Figures
Lex-wan walks into 3 Wal-marts yesterday & finds what? c-mon guess, no really, guess, OK you give up, all Wally worlds in the PA area seemed to get in about 2 cases of Teemto & Ki-adi wave & I know great news but there's a down side - every single Wal-Mart I went, all the figs were dented, dinged, & l.t. smashed! Now I don't think a scalper did this because the other figs that come in that assortment were all dinged danged dung the same way like Lumi, & here's another juicy tid bit - Lumi now comes with 3 pieces of tape on the bottom line, what a rip! Teemto is cool, Ki-Adi is cool too but not to many changes from Episode I version.
I just got off the phone with Steve from the STAR WARS FAN CLUB & he repeatedly told me in my disbelief that the Disney star tours figs were definitely not getting to the fan club & they would not sell them AT ALL!!! He then said that the FAN CLUB was trying to get Hasbro to take the miss info of their website so if I were you unless you're going to Disney Land or plan to buy it at a very high price I'd get computating on a reasonable solution cause you know it's not a Toy Fair Vader but I can see it get a little out of hand (like on WEPAY)! Can ya just imagine what could happen.
Nobody's perfect right? *cough cough cough - Hasbro* Man, if Han Solo (Endor Raid) tried to blow up the shield generator with no proton grenades that would have been really foolish! I guess this packing error that has him with no grenades is the Han Solo (Endor Raid) "I'm jealous of Luke & now I think I can use the Force to blow up the shield generator" version I guess, or its the " 'Leia throw me a grenade', 'Han I thought you brought the grenades, what no grenades now somebody is gonna half to go back to the shuttle Tyderium & get grenades!' " Han will now take his place by the side of POTJ Chewie mechanic with no scanner, and POTJ Snobiwan with no lightsaber doomed to spend a life time in his little plastic bubble only with his gun. Always respectfully yours, Bart Simps-- I mean Lex-wan.
Lex, thanks for all the news! Now I don't have to stay up for the 11:00 Action News tonight! - Thanks again! - J.

    Trooper Jeidchirp reports:
    Hey troops
I haven't posted anything in about 2 weeks so I thought I would take this time to get back at it. I haven't had a chance to do much on the internet because my girlfriend delivered our little jedi boy on July 3rd. We named him Lucas James. First name after Mr. Lucas and middle for my grandfather. I did have a chance to stop at the Greenwood Walmart in Indy on Saturday and they had lots of figs. They have Bespin Luke and Vader (these seem to be becoming pegwarmers around here). They also had Han, Obi Wan, and Chewy as well as the newer deluxe figs. If anyone has emailed me about possible trades I will get you an email back today. Please understand that I have not even turned on my computer for a week and a half.

ACPin from ACPin Star Wars writes:
The Growth Acceleration Tanks (GATs) are an integral part of the Tipoca cloning facility. To achieve the full adult form of the clones in ten years, they're immersed back into the GATs at several intervals in their life-span. Once they've emerged from the GATs as mature clones, their continued physical and mental training is closely monitored for any deviant behavior.

In retrospect, if you believed everything that I've just mentioned about the GATs then you're in for a treat. This is really just my extreme way to make good use of all the pegwarmer Luke in Bacta Tank deluxe figures that I bought from the TRU sale!

    Trooper Jim reports:
At the Valdosta, Georgia Target, the Tantive IV Lego set is "down" in price to 139.00.

One unusual place that I found Han Endor, Chewbacca, Obi Wan Jedi, and Massif was at Software, Etc. They are carrying several brands of action figures. It seems they are stocking only the currently harder to come by Star Wars figures. Price is $6.99 so they may be doing a tiny bit of scalping from the other stores, but it is still within reason and they are in collector shape.

Otherwise, we are lagging compared to some of the other postings, but the first 40 have been in the area with a little luck and legwork. Keep up the good work!

    Weekend Upadate
I was out this weekend finding a great deal of the Obi-Wan Starfighter wave and a lot of it. Including Chewie. There haven't been any red/yellow clones in the KB stores around here recently either. They hit twice which makes me wonder will they be back ? No sign of Ki-Adi or any other new ones yet, we are usually a little behind here in the mid-west. I also am seeing the Unleashed figures at Wal-Marts, my question is did they manufacture any of these in mint condition? I didn't see one in any store that didn't look beat.Well that'll wrap it for this report Troops. Kick A%$ and take names!!
I would also like to thank the Troops helping me with the new contest from my latest installment of Force of the Bay! Very funny stuff Troops. Also be on the lookout for the latest installment of figure reviews...COMING SOON...Spiceowan out!

#1: I just got back from vacation (to Yellowstone). I don't know if anyone lives close but, the Wal-Mart in Cody, WY was loaded.(as of a week ago) They had no variations or production errors. They had several Palpitines, Massifs, Qui-Gons, two crashed Snowspeeders, about 10 ultimate Jangos, about 15 POTJ 12" Luke and Yodas, several POTJ Shmis, POTJ R2-D2s (which I haven't seen in forever!) and about 7 POTJ Obi-Wans with Qui-Gon's saber. Everything was covered in about two feet of dust, I think I was the first there in a while.

#2: I am looking for the trilogy that was relesed on VHS in 1997, the first VHS relese of the special edition. Mine's in bad condition and I need a new copy. Widescreen and fullscreen. I'm willing to pay or trade. Please help me if you can.

#3: I need to get rid of some old Pokemon stuff and some OLD Power Rangers stuff, e-mail me if interested.

Hey, folks. Young George Lucas reporting from the Kansas City area. Today at Target I found the Deluxe Mace Windu with the revamped red battle droid. If you want one of these, don't hesitate too long. Also, remember to never...no wait- always keep a litter bag in your car. It doesn't take up too much space, and when it gets full you can just pitch it out the window. P.S.- Just about 4 months 'til we get to lay our grubby little mitts on the "Attack of the Clones" DVD! The Force of the Bay
Spiceowan is back to drop you a new approach to this little rant. I wanted a cheaper approach as well. Some of us don't have as much as others or there are always newcomers to collecting so I wanted to include some Power of the Force this time.Did any of you Troops have a lunchbox like this ? I did and thought some of you may remember it as well. Another vintage figure I was looking at was this, I also recall having a rough time getting one of these. Now to shift gears to the newer POTF line. If you didn't get all the beastpacks I'd recommend getting this then go back and get the cheaper ones. Another figure that isn't well known is the Roworr figure from the Power of the Jedi line. Many people missed the Expanded Universe set so that could further you along as well. I also want to introduce this weeks E-Bay Power, no not seller, Sucka this is something I will be asking Troopers to help me with . If you find something as ridiculous as this listing who know maybe they'll win next weeks power sucka award.I wonder why he doesn't have any bids ? If you see something that makes you say only a sucka would buy send me an e-mail at spiceowan@sandtroopers.com. Good Luck out there Troopers ! Unite Kick A$% and take names!!
Remember these items are not sanctioned by E-Bay or Sandtroopers.com so buyer BEWARE !!!

    Trooper Jedi Neyda Ssor Reports:
Hey there, It's Jedi Neyda Ssor (aka Erich Fritz) I wanted to let all the troops out there know that I still have quite a large collection that I'm trying to sell or trade off. I'm looking for the following items for trade:

    Falumpaset with Ammo Wagon
    Ki-Adi-Mundi saga
    Trade Fedration Tank (big one)
    Aklay
Darth Vader and Maul 3 3/4" two pack

For the list of items I have for sale or trade, e-mail me at: darkravenef@hotmail.com.

I also wanted to share my first piece of art in my Jedi collection. It is the first of five. Two of my favorite Jedi Masters...Plo Koon and Saesee Tinn. Please e-mail me and let me know what you think. I'm trying to get a feel for people's reaction. If it's positive, I'll have prints made and sell them for about $15-$20 a piece. So again, please any feedback will be great. I'm also available to do custom pieces if anyone is interested. Last but not least....I wanted to thank the crew at Sandtroopers. This site is the best. I won't even look at e-bay anymore. Thanks for everything.

    Trooper Calfornia Tim Reports:
Hello Fellow Troopers, I have extended my run further south and will bring reports from Wal-Mart on San Antonio Rd in Palo Alto/Los Altos. As much as I dont care for Wal-Mart I have to say they win hands down with what they carry. They currently have a bunch of Obi Wan Pilot, slice and dice Anakin, Nexu, Orn Free Ta, Endor Soldier, B. Luke (no bloodies or bbq) , B. Vader. No sign of Chewie or Han though. They also are carrying a bunch of the unleashed figures, which are going for $14.99. Standard figures are $4.77, deluxe are $9.96. TRU in Redwood City had nothing new, same goes for the Super K across the street. I then went up to the KB in Hillsdale Mall to check them out. Standard peg warmers but they did have quite a few of the PlaySkool Anakin and Luke sets.

I also forgot to mention that I stopped in the HallMark store and they were beginning to put out their Xmas ornaments. They had Luke, Vader, and the Death Star on display and they looked really cool. I think they did a really good job on Luke. They had display tags for Obi and Jango which will be out later.

    Area Report
Spiceowan here finishing up another blank mission tonight. There is much of the same old stuff out there. I am seeing a lot of markdown of the 23rd date product, so if you held out on heartfelt pegwarmers chances are it's gonna pay off. The newest stuff isn't hitting thus far, but I never count out Wal-mart.I spoke to a local scalper ( I always act like I don't know much about SW ) , he told me of his plot to buy 8 X-Wings to score the free R2. Only to return them if he didn't sell it on E-Bay. We gotta stop these people! I was at the official site and saw a lot of what I saw at Wizard World . If you want to check it out go here to see it. My Wal-Mart's have not seen tons of unleashed figs like I have been hearing about all over the country. Must just be on the West Coast or down South. Oh well you can't get it all. Until next time Troops , Kick A$% and take names.

    Magic of the Myth (repost)
    Hey Troops,
The Star Wars: Magic of the Myth exhibit ended on sunday. Its last stop was at the Brooklyn Museum of Art in NYC. Previous stops of the traveling show included Washington DC, San Diego, Chicago, Minneapolis, Houston, and Toledo. Now that the show has wrapped up in NYC, its off to Sydney, Australia. You can view an offical tour here. I visited the exhibit during the last weekend in June. I took many pictures while we walked through, but it was very difficult to photograph due to bad lighting and lots of people. Check out our "exclusive" coverage at www.sandtroopers.com/MOTM.htm. The exhibit included props, costumes, and concept art from each of the five Star Wars films released to date.

J's "Octopus on the Roof Newz" - Daily Internet Headlines
StarWars.com additions to SWToday - Lots of good stuff going on at the Official Site today!
  • For those of you who like the SW comics, Infinities is back in a second four-part series of "The Empire Strikes Back!" I enjoyed the "A New Hope" serial very much (my favorite since the four-part Darth Maul). Here is a frame from an upcoming issue...

  • Another inane Q&A divulged in the "Ask the Lucasfilm Jedi Council" with film magnate Rick McCallum - "How much time will pass between Episodes II and III?" [ed. note: I thought we already knew that!]

Episode III anticipation - With Episode II even still on the big screen, attention is turning to plot points and details of the next and final installment of the Prequel Trilogy. TheForce.net does it to the (n)th degree with a look at early drafts of Lucas' manuscripts and fan speculation, each pointing to specific details that may be linked to events, dialogue and characters from the original Trilogy.

The Third Cantina Figure - Rebelscum brings news of the earlier-reported Kitik Keedkak and Dr. Evazan being joined by Wuher this fall in the second wave of the Walmart Cantina Figures. Evazan and Wuher will be partially retooled from previous molds (I hope this doesn't mean that Evazan won't get a new head sculpt! The 1997 version was lacking; in fact the whole mold was a bit off).

    Contests :

I have a question, if anyone can help. It concerns the Red Card 'Dagobah Luke'. I've seen pictures with his lightsaber centered in the middle of the bubble. The one that I have though has it packed towards the top like the 'Jedi Knight Luke'. Which is harder to find? Any help is appreciated.

Now for the Thursday at noon news (Allentown PA) BY Lex-wan. Every super wal-mart in this area (which there are 3 of them) have got in 100's of figures, there are so many that the 1 Wal-mart in Easton PA, had to put 9 cases of the Han, Chewy, & Obi pilot wave in the back. The pegs are stacked to the point that it looks like there are going to explode & with all the new figs which are the before mentioned 3 plus Palpy & Djas. They had both Han variations but every store had about 2 Han's with white comm & 40 Han with gray comm. Tons of massiff, endor reb sol, orn fre taa, only a few Dooku, and even less Yoda, also they have the new deluxe figs Anakin & Nexu plus the new mace Windu with red battle droid but they only had 1 new mace & like 10 of Ani & Nexu. Mommy, Daddy, where do red battle droids come from? Well my dear they come red cows of course! Also a ton of unleashed Maul & Jango figs, also found the deluxe mace with new card (red battle droid pic on front & back packed with old tan droid ). Talk about an overload of new toys I think I had a TOYGASM. Anyway if you don't have them get to your local super Wal-mart now & you'll find them too. I want to thank a few stand up troopers like Tyler Bedard from Canada whom got all those clone trooper masks out to all us troopers including me & to Jason Meyers at Sandtroopers - he's a stand up doood, thanks man! Also to Boba Brett & all the little Boba Bretts thanks for all the help guys & MTFBWY - Lex-wan

Just thought I would share a little moment I had this past week with everyone. I was notified by mail that I was the winner of the Celebration II giveaway held by Suncoast.com. I was so shocked because I never win anything. I entered the contest to try to win the Jorg Sacul figure, not even realizing that there was so much else given away. Not only did I win the figure (which by the way was the topic of all of my posts the past 2 months), I also received a C2 program signed by David Prowse, movie poster signed by Anthony Daniels, Episode II novel signed by R.A. Salvatore, a C2 shirt, jacket, and $500 in gift certificates to Suncoast. I was desperate for that figure and I entered everything possible to get it. So I just want everyone to know that if you are persistent enough, you can win these types of contests, especially if it is something you really want.

    Oddball Errors - No Eyebrows!!!
My buddy Trooper Lex-Wan came across a couple of bizarre variations from Collection 1. First, pictured is the Obi-Wan Kenobi (Jedi Starfighter Pilot) with no eyebrows. Something new for Bespin Luke is an all-white version of the hand magnet, the whole magnet slug has had a coat of white paint applied to it. Included is the bare-metal version for comparison. This difference in figures is analagous to the Zam Wesell figure that was found with both painted and unpainted magnets in the arm.

    Ishitib from TBS writes:
Theres a new battle droid in town
At first sight it appears as if the droid's color was the only switch made to the set but, under close inspection, there are actually 4 more differences dealing with this second issue and April 23 first release. The variations are as follow:

    - PN numbers
    - Lightsaber tray and way saber is held in it
    - Picture on the front's top right corner of the card
    - Set of 3 pictures on the back of the card describing the figures features

For a deeper look into these variations and very detailed shots of them, click right here and see for yourself. Have fun!

    Force of the Bay
Spiceowan here with another dose of what people are calling rare on E-Bay. I will be looking at a couple of knee-slappers for your amusement.I came across a nice 12 back set in very good shape. I found this vintage display stand proof that some of this stuff escaped even me as a youth. I am always interested in making a replica costume this would give anyone one hell of a start.Check out this guy's other auction's too. Now for this one Warning spoiler material ... I really don't know what to make of this one Troopers, drop me a line and tell me what you think.Where did this guy get it? I may have to start doing something called "Farce of the Bay" with this kind of stuff out here.

Just remember that none of the above items are guaranteed by E-Bay .They are really not by us here at Sandtroopers , so please buyers beware.

I am still looking for a bloody hand luke, Admiral Motti and a Masters of the Darkside two pack.

    Wizard World 2002
Spiceowan here to drop in a little rebut to the pictures the general gave us. I really enjoyed the show this year. There seemed to be only a handful of Star Wars celbs on hand for autographs. That is kinda good seeing as the price went up to $20.00 . I did have a nice chat with a Hasbro rep to ask why did they make the new yoda fighting a Super Battle Droid ? The reply was that Lucas only gives them stills to work with before the films come out. ( Claims they make them 2 years in advance ) My source also dodged many and any questions regarding the FAO Exclusive Shuttle ! Their tune has moved to silence since Celebration 2 . Anyways, The Hasbro display really rocked this year with the addition of the Transformers, and G.I. Joe wings and those toy collectors have just as much if not more than we have to look forward to.I was disappointed to not see the Geonosian Battle Arena. I was told it didn't ship quick enough to make the show. Those dang UPS guys again! Good Luck out there gang Kick A$# and take names!

    Howdy Ho Troopers!
Drove down to Los Banos for the holiday and stopped off at the San Jose Wal-Mart, Monterey & 101, and found the unleashed figures. I also noticed that all the Kitt packages were ripped open and the light sabers lifted. Did the associate care about this? Not a chance. Pulling into Los Banos I stopped off at the Wal-Mart right on 152 and found the unleashed figures there. These were in better condition than the ones in San Jose, card wise. Other then that nothing new. Happy hunting!

The Super Wal-Marts seem to be better than the "regular" Wal-Marts, and a friend of mine who works at Wal-Mart confirmed that the Super Stores doe get things first, and something's never end up at regular stores.

It will come soon , they are making plenty guys.Unleashed are popping up all over too. I am looking forward to reporting some of the action from Wizard World 2002 this weekend . ( I know V, just the good stuff, I won't forget) I will be there tomorrow and perhaps Sunday as well. Good luck out there Troops Kick A$% and take names!

    Out of Town
Hey Troops, first of all I would like to thank everyone who has written about finding Doomworld in their comic stores. Hopefully I will be able to find it later today too. Second, I will be out of town next week and away from a computer as well, so I won't be checking into Sandtroopers until I get back on the 15th. Have fun without me and MTFBWY!

    Trooper Jeffred5 Reports:
Hey Troopers, I am a little confused about some of the Action Figure Variants. Mostly the Different Battle Droids I know one is called the "White" version, and the other is the "Red." What are the difference? A picture would be great, because I have had several people describe it to me but I still don't know exactly how they are different and which one is the one that is more common and which is more rare.
    Jeffred5@aol.com

The older battledroids are white to tan. The latest release is a DARK RED. RS posted some pictures of a deluxe mace windu variation with a RED battledroid sometime last week. Check out their archives, because I dont have a picture yet. -V

Hello Troopers... Occasional contributer here from South Cali. Spent the day traveling the Ventura way (thats north from here) and stopped at a KB, TRU and a couple of Targets. Everwhere is nothing. Wal-mart seems to be the only place with a turn over of figs. San Dimas WM had plent of Massiff, Chewie, Qui-Gon, Obi and more. Still have yet to see any Play Skool since April. Furthermore I wanted to add two cents to the pot regarding the unleashed...I think the are AWESOME! But you have to remove them. Anyway, just one geeks opinion. Happy INDEPENDENCE DAY to all!!!

Hiya Troops! Hope the 4th of July is finding you in the patriotic spirit, we are the BEST for a reason. I am needing some assistance, I have sought the elusive Yoda and Count Dooku figures since before the opening of EPII without any luck whatsoever. If any of my fellows would have an extra of these figures, I would be more than willing to pay cost plus shipping, and throw in an awesome bonus. At this point, I'm not willing to pay triple of what the figures sell for that eBay scalpers are charging. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Happy Birthday to U.S.!

    Trooper Nate Reports:
Here's a quick report from the Portland, OR area. Last week KB's around here finally got their shipment of the new cases with Djas, Supreme Chancelor Palpatine, Hans, Pilot Obi-Wan, and possibly Chewie (that was the only one absent when I went). They still had plenty of the later and easier to find POTJ's like Ketwol, Lando, etc. All for $4.99. I personally think that we should all get a check for the differance in price for the times that we spent $7.99 of those things.

Also I noticed at Target they had a few of the Luminaras with only one sticker, and the word 'Cloak' showing. I picked up one for myself and left the other. I have also been seeing this a lot on ebay too. Is this in the latest shipments, and the now easy one to find?

I still have a bunch of the POTF2 line that I am trying to get rid of. It's a long list so gimme an e-mail if you have any holes to fill.

Last I want to give a big thanks to Trooper Brian who responded to my post last week and helped me complete my insert collection with Dexster.

Anyway, I am now looking for a complete set of expanded universe figures. I never picked them up when they were available at the FC and now I cant find them anywhere. Loose is just fine cuz I open all my figures anyway. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!!!! I have a bunch of vintage G1 Transformers and G.I. Joe figures that I would be willing to trade for EU figures too.

Also, I talked to my friend at TRU today and she said that there are TONS of the Saga Han and Palpatine waves shipping out right now!! So all of you in the Western NY area might want to start checking out TRU next week (that is if you dont already have them). Thanks again everyone and MTFBWY!!!!!!

Happy 4th everybody- and God bless America! YGL reporting from the Kansas City area. The local Wally World finally received the 12" Deluxe Jango- which, surprisingly, is awesome! The 12" line is really hit and miss- but this 12" Jango Fett is really choice. They also had a bunch of the "Unleashed" figures, which don't seem to be too popular. Hasbro, bring back the "Epic Force" line and "Cinema Scenes"! Have a better one!

Trooper Songwrtr reports with some good Classic Star Wars news
Though it wasn't listed on the shipping list for this week, the first of the "A Long Time Ago . . . " Trade Paperbacks from Dark Horse showed up at my regular comic stop today. At roughly 370 full color pages, reprinting the first 20 issues of the classic Marvel series (yes, it does include the adaptation of A New Hope) for just $29.95, this one's a must have if you want to see how the expanded universe really began. This is the first of seven volumes, tentatively slated to ship bi-monthly (very subject to change). If they continue to collect about the same number of pages per volume, that means that we can probably expect the complete 107 issue series plus annuals and the adaptation(s -- I forget whether Empire, Jedi, or both were actually in-sequence; I think at least one wasn't) that stood alone as mini-series in the Marvel edition. So check out those comic shops. Most places have special order and pull services so that you can make sure to get what you want -- some even give a discount to subscribers. Check out www.diamondcomics.com for a list of shops near you and even more information about upcoming releases from just about every company that publishes comics.

    Trooper Steve Reports:
I was reading in USA Today, that there is a possibility of the dock workers at many of the west coast ports may go on strike this month. This is a concern, because the toys that we all love to collect come from Asia via boats. In the article it stated that both Walmart and Toys R Us we concermed about getting products from Asia. Toys R Us went on record stating that they believe that the chain has enough inventory to last them for a while. I am not trying to spread a dark cloud, but with this news it is possible that TRU may be the palace of peg warmers for a while. Well have to see about Wally World. Thank you all for putting on a great web site.

Still no answer on disappearing Jedi - Another "Ask the Lucasfilm Jedi Council" brought to you by StarWars.com and Rick McCallum. The question, of course, is not answered.

Kamino Diorama Background - Star Wars Kids brings us a new action figure background scene for small dioramas. This time it is Kamino. Remember that the site uses a compression technique on the large images, so it will appear a little simplified. I've used backgrounds from this series and they work quite well.

Smoke yourself to Stardom - A report at TheForce.net claims that Ewan MacGregor has promised to quit smoking before filming for Episode III begins, as a favor to George Lucas.

Rust-colored battle droid - 4-INCHES.de has added a detailed photo of the upcoming variation of the AOTC battle Droid, the red version. Click here, then on "29.06.2002 Preview-Sparte Battle Droid (Arena Battle) brown" on their main page.

    Happy Trails Admiral George
This is a message for my good friend George. Troops, keep in mind that we have this site today because of George and Pat.

    George,

You are the reason I came to Sandtroopers originally way back when it first started. You found an extra Y-Wing and offered it up for sale at cost. I was so amazed by that. I had never seen anything like that at any other Star Wars collecting site. Collectors actually helping out their fellow collectors and not trying to make a quick buck. Since that time, you have become a good friend and I thank you for bringing me into Sandtroopers. Now that you are leaving, it won't be the same, but we will carry on.

    Bloody Hell !!
Hey Troopers dig this,At Toyzz.com they are offering free shipping on all their orders no minimum. That isn't the good part, they have Bloody Stump Luke on non-mint cards for $8.99 !! So if you are an opener or could live with a ding here or spider crease or something head on over and check them out. At that price I'd rather have it for 9 bucks than to pay too much getting it somewhere else.Gas isn't getting any cheaper either. They also had some background insert figures for cheap as well. My local area hasn't really been getting a lot of new stuff recently. The clerks all state "We gotta sell that before we put new stuff out " , Man that crap already, they sound like the morons that worked there 2 months after E1. Good luck out there Troopers Kick A$% and take names.
Update: As of 7/3/02 the Luke appears to have sold out.

    Sandtrooper Darth-Dallas reports:
I am going to cut to the point. This site is the best! I as well as my buddy Mike really appreciated the post regarding his situation and stay in the Hospital. He was overwhelmed and taken back by the amount of emails he received from fellow Star Wars fans around the world that visit this site each and every day. He is individually emailing everyone to personally to say THANKS and I am posting this to do the same! People mention all the time here on the site how they have met wonderful people through Sandtroopers.com, but this time the TROOPS took it to the next level. This wasn't about the latest "wave" of figures but actually someone's life. To all that emailed Mike and those of you who thought of him and his family, THANK YOU! Now back to business. It seems that the KB toy stores are starting to receive the Djas Puhr wave here in S. Florida. I saw them at the KB store in the Sawgrass mall in Sunrise, Florida yesterday. I should be happy, right? Yes I need those two to complete my collection but all of them looked as if they were left in the arena during the battle of Geonosis. What further irked me was that the April 23rd figures were all nice and mint! So if your an opener they are there. I also wanted to mention that I have one extra AOTC Prismatic Foil cards #2- (Count Dooku), left if anyone needs it. Just give me shout. Go Germany! My world Cup plug!

    Take Care!
God Bless the USA, the Dallas Cowboys and the Empire.
    Darth-Dallas (Dallas888@msn.com)
    S. Florida

And this is from Mike himself:

    Hey Tyler,

This Mike, David T.'s friend. When Dave told me that he had put an article in your website about me, I just laughed. But I can't believe how many of the site's followers sent me words of encouragement and well wishes. I want you to know that I really appreciate it. I sat in the hospital room and read all these e-mails. I also wrote each person back thanking them. Fortunately I was released from the hospital one day early because my body was able to shed the radiation faster than expected (I drank a lot of water). So now I am at my parents' house (I am still staying away from my wife and kids as a precaution) and am still returning e-mails from Star Wars followers and new friends. I wanted to say thanks for making my time in the hospital a better time and I do believe that it did help me keep my head up and get me out of there early.

    Trooper Jedichirp Reports:
I just stopped at the Greenwood, Indiana Walmart and they had some new goodies. They had about 5 each of the Unleashed Darth Maul and the Jango/Boba Fett. These look nice. They also had lots of Acklay. It seems like the Bespin Luke and Vader are now pegwarmers. Still no sign of Chewy, Han, or ObiWan.

***UPDATE*** Classic Star Wars: A Long Time Ago... Still a long way away?
Hey Troops, I posted this last week:

Troops, don't forget, Classic Star Wars: A Long Time Ago...Volume 1: Doomworld trade paperback is being released today. This series is a reprint of the classic Marvel Star Wars series from the late 70s and early 80s. Dark Horse will be reprinting and recoloring the entire series in a collection of trade paperbacks. Volume I hits stores today.

I went to pick this up yesterday and much to my surprise my local comic shop didn't have it yet. I was told that Dark Horse didn't get it out on time and there was no way of knowing when it would come out. I checked Dark Horse's web page and they have it listed as being released on 6/26, but only available for pre-order. This backs up what I was told at the comic store. Has anyone out there found this yet? Or is it truly delayed for some reason? Let me know.

    JEFFRED5 responded with:
I too Had heard The Doomworld was supposed to come out on the 26th of June, but my local comic book shop had no clue of when they were going to get it. But, something that I did find yesterday of some interest was a new release of the Classic Trilogy with all three stories in one hard cover 25th Anniversary book. I found it at Barns and noble for about $25.00. That's all for now, MTFBWY.

Hi, Donna from So. Cal. here. The Unleashed figures are starting to hit Wal-mart and KB here. KB, however, is about $3 more. The Chewie wave is also hitting Wal-mart. The only new items at Target are the Deluxe Anakin and Nexu. TRU are getting the Ultimate Jango Fetts and lastly K-mart has had nothing new the last couple of weeks. Happy Hunting to all.

    Trooper Lee has a winner!
My force sensitive dog, Roebuck the Semi-Wonder Mutt, used a unique way of picking the contest winner.... she ate all the entries except for one which belonged to Christina Lugo, so I guess that makes her the winner. Christina has three day to contact me, or Roebuck, in order to claim the cards. Thanks again for all those who entered.

Troopers, Could not believe my eyes when I walked into the Hemet Wal-mart today-Wall to Wall Star Wars. The whole front aisle was Star Wars and two..count em, two......end caps. One end cap was all figures and the other deluxe figures. They had a truck load of Luke Bespin (no bloody stumps), a cart full of Vader Bespin, Endor REbel Soldier, and Han Endor. They also had a smattering of Chewbacca and pieced out C3PO, the emperor and Djas Puhr. Overall the most Star Wars I had scene in one place...since..since.....pre 1997. Definately your one stop shop for all things Star Wars.

Hey Troopers, I feel really stupid about this, but someone I met here at Sandtroopers is (I hope) still holding a Geonosian Warrior (W/Background Card) and a Dexter Jettster (W/Background Card) for me. I have had a lot of health problems lately and I forgot about it and then when I went to E-mail the person I couldn't find their address. So, who ever it is that is or was holding these figures for me would you please send me an E-mail even if you do not have the figures any more, so at least I will know who it was and not have to keep looking for nothing. Thanks and MTFBWY,
In case I don't get in touch with this person if anyone has these figures to sell or trade please send me an E-mail.

I talked to a reliable TRU employee about the R2D2 exclusive that seems to have the same type of card as the Toy Fair Vader. He said that this fall they will begin selling the voice response R2D2 I saw one of these at C2 and it was amazing). If you buy one of these then you will get the exclusive 25th Anniversary R2D2!!! He wasn't sure of a date that this will begin, but it sounds like we need some bigger wallets this fall in order to get this and the new Shuttle.

    Swamptrooper Report
    Hello all,
Its been a while since my last post and I apologize to those who care....!! There has been a lot going on in my life that has been keeping me busy but enough of that. There has been a bunch of stuff release down here in Bayou Country since I last posted. You pretty much can find everything that has been out except Daja and Palpatine, I have not seen them anywhere, oh and the Acklay too. Everything else you should be able to find at Wal-Marts or TRU. Even the KB Exclusive Red and Yellow 12" Clone Troopers. The Unleashed figs just arrived here at Wal-Marts. These are really cool figs!!! Those of you who know me, I am not an opener....but these two figs (Maul and Jango w/Boba) just scream to be opened so I did it, I started down the dark path and opened both of them, all I can say is WOW!! Such cool detail. Anyway, plenty of them out right now. No bloody Lukes though!! I searched and searched through probably 50 or so that I found and none were the "Bloody" version. Oh well, I am not a variant collector anyway. Wal-Mart also had the 12" Ultimate Bounty Hunter Jango Fett for $40.00, a bit more expensive than K-Mart but plentyfull at Wal-Mart. Thanks to those who sent me there info regarding the bad trader who lives at 34 Albany Road, I will be making sure he get whats coming to him....and soon.
    Later Troops!!!!
