Sandwatch Live: Clone Commander Fox Reviewed!
The Clone Wars line has been very limited in 2012 but we have obtained one of the few offerings via eBay and have completed our review. I was forced to take a break from remodeling my collection display to put Clone Wars figure #18 in my scope for inspection. The new figures are few and far in between these days, but you might enjoy the latest review of Clone Commander Fox. See how Phase I and II stack up next to one another and much more!

Mos Eisley News Brief: The Second Set is Uncovered!
Get a good look at Snaggs at JTA!Our friends at Jeditemplearchives have scored a first look at the Snaggletooth featured in the Target Special Action Figure set. The ratio of one good figure for every three is about par for the course in 2012, but it might be a good indicator of how many collectors are around this time next year! Sandwatch Sneak Peek: Clone Commander Fox #18!
The few, the rare, the Clone Wars! Our friends at Jedi Temple Archives alerted us to the presence of this figure and now we have it in our hands for inspection. There are quite a few differences in the Phase I vs. Phase II armor. You'll also see the alternating red and white color scheme and for some crazy reason a nifty hole in his back! Check out the first loose shots and stay tuned as we complete the video review that will land on our YouTube channel shortly.

Update: You can check out the update at Galactic Hunter for great photos and commentary from Mike Sullenger. Also, you must see the update to the Yakface toyguide as Jayson couldn't be "out-foxed" and discovered another error from Hasbro!

This Just in from Brian's Toys:

The Brian’s Toys newsletter this week features a great selection of new Sideshow pre-orders. The C-3PO and R2-D2 droid duo are together again in the long waited premium format and the sixth scale Bossk figure is a brand new announcement today! Also new is the Medicom VCD Jawa, which looks more realistic to the movie version than the regular caricatured VCD versions.

A new Darth Vader (Reveal to Anakin Skywalker) bust from Illusive Concepts was recently delivered to us. This is one of the few busts we’ve seen in such great condition, but it still has paint wear to Anakin’s head and does not include the original COA. Overall, nothing is broken and displays nicely (albeit kind of scary, as evident to some Brian’s Toys employees being startled as they turned the corner).

Finally, new Masters of the Universe Classics figures (Horde Prime, Snake Man-At-Arms, and Griffin) have arrived along with the Sideshow 12" Tedn & Nalan. Check it all out over at our newsletter.

Mos Eisley News Brief: New Staff Member!
It's been quite some time since we've enlisted any new staff members here at Sandtroopers.com, and needless to say my search hasn't been very easy. When I passed up my own personal ten-year anniversary working for Sandtroopers last month, it was time to bring in some new recruits with fresh ideas. However we usually don't bring in anyone who has four years experience running a website, therefore this was a pretty easy choice to make.

As the old saying goes "When one door closes, another opens" and I really do hope we can produce more than a knock of opportunity. Therefore I'd like to welcome David Delgado, formerly of Echo Base News. We are looking forward to his assistance with our brand of Star Wars news, reviews and events. It's a great opportunity and we hope this is just the beginning of adding not just pieces, but the right pieces that will help us achieve our goals. David has several projects he's planning to unveil over the next few weeks and he'll be huge assistance in West Coast operations.

For this, Vader Force-choked Motti, only to have Grand Moff Tarkin intervene at the last moment, ordering the Dark Lord to relent. This highly-detailed mini bust, based on the original Lucasfilm costumes and props, was sculpted and painted by Gentle Giant Ltd. We hope you enjoy it." "The Petranaki arena, also known as the Arena of Justice and commonly referred to as the Geonosian execution arena, was brought about by both a need for entertainment in the rigid Geonosian society, and an efficient way of disposing of otherwise resource-draining prisoners. The most popular attractions used deadly beasts in combat, resulting in the extinction of some of the more crowd pleasing creatures on Geonosis."
