Mos Eisley News Brief: Support Red Nose Day!
OK Troopers... We know this may look silly, but it's for a good cause! Join MOUSEDROID.com this week by supporting and donating to Red Nose Day.

In Australia each year over 3,500 families experience the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child, either through stillbirth, during the first month of life, from SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome), from SUDC (sudden unexpected death in childhood) or accident. SIDS&Kids is a wholly community supported organisation, dedicated to saving the lives of babies and children during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood and supporting bereaved families.

There are two ways you can join the Mousedroid.com Crew in raising funds for this worthy cause, by visiting the following sites;

1) RED NOSE 4 LUKE 2011:
Help us reach our goal of raising $1000 by Friday afternoon. Simply forego that new action figure (or two), and donate the funds via the website in memory of the son Mick Selas.

2) RED NOSE ME:
For every silly photo uploaded via this website, or the iPhone app, Renault will donate $1 to SIDS&Kids, up to a total of $15 000. How easy is that?

Sandwatch Sneak Peek: "New" Clone Wars Value Packs
Are you kidding me!?!It appears we'll be seeing a new form of "value" packs this year as photos have surfaced of three "new" three packs. In a year where distribution is possibly the worst it has ever been for this hobby, it baffles me to see the return of figures like Captain Rex, Anakin, and Cad Bane. However if that wasn't enough, we're going to also get (and I do mean get) Commander Cody, Obi-Wan and General Grievous! Are they going to recall all the figures that are on the pegs to fill these boxes? Finally in the third set there's one figure in the form of Lt. Thire that isn't a pegwarmer, but sadly there's a needless Yoda packed in with a Destroyer Droid to make up for that oversight. We're not sure if these will be a store exclusive, but for most collectors they are just a few more things you won't need to buy this year! I hate to be such a "Debbie Downer" but COME ON HASBRO, when will it end? Even kids don't want figures they bought three years ago! I won't even start whining about it being a figure short. For more, check out the photo gallery if you want to see what will be warming the clearance aisle in 2012.

Both of these pieces will be limited editions, Vader in January 2012 and Savage is soon to be announced. Finally, the mini-bust line continues with Logray & Watto. Mos Eisley News Brief: Dorman in the Trenches!
Very cool Double-D!I received a rather interesting email from Mrs. Denise Dorman this morning, and just when I thought I'd seen my share of wild nights in the Windy City, Dave Dorman does it again! "In a rather bizarre turn of events last night, Dave unexpectedly ended up at the business of Steve Heminover (Aura Technologies, Inc. in Chicago). Steve is world-renowned for his laser light shows, but he is also the guy who created the laser animation of the Star Wars Death Star trench. Check out the photo of (left to right): Our friend Michael Knight (Fox Valley Secure Networks), Dave Dorman and Steve Heminover standing in front of the original 1970's computer. When the first Star Wars film was being made, UIC was commissioned to do this animation project, which is a story I had never heard before. I think Dave is still pinching himself to be sure he wasn't dreaming!" We thank Denise for sharing and there's no doubt we all get a little giddy when seeing anything related to the Original Trilogy!
