We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to help better serve your Troopers like never before. Beginning today, Hasbro invites you to help launch a new weekly Star Wars Q & A session with their Star Wars brand team. In an effort to provide more consistent support to the media dedicated to covering the iconic Star Wars toy line, Hasbro has established a weekly Q&A aimed at sharing the most up-to-date and accurate brand and product information available. Every Friday by 5 PM ET, we ask that Sandtroopers.com staff submit questions that you would like posed to the Star Wars brand team. We ask only 3 questions from your outlet per week. All questions submitted will be reviewed and answers to a select few will be posted on Hasbro's Star Wars the following Friday afternoon. Though only a sampling of all questions received will be posted to Hasbro’s site each week, we will make our best effort to respond directly to each editor with answers to all submitted questions. Troopers are strongly urged to list their questions in priority order. Hasbro may not be able to answer all of each outlet’s questions every week (due to volume), so to ensure Hasbro addresses the most pressing questions, assigning priority is important. Also, while Hasbro welcomes any and all questions regarding past and present product lines, they reserve the right to refrain from answering any questions that may otherwise divulge proprietary information related to future products. We are asking Troopers to post their questions in this thread. |

Hey Troopers, I just wanted to take time out to wish you all a very Happy Memorial Day. This year is an extra special day for me, as some of you know a near and dear friend of mine was killed a few weeks ago while serving the United States Marine Corps in Iraq. While I’m still sad, I am making sure to spend the day attending a parade, cooking out and enjoying my family. This is all possible by our men and women who are serving in uniform, our thoughts and prayers are with you all. To the family of Edward G. Davis III, I cannot tell you what a privilege it was to know your son. I’m proud to say he was my friend, and I envy his honor to die a hero for this great Nation. |
On May 19th 2005 Revenge of the Sith hit the big screen worldwide and much like the rest of us our S.C.A.L.P. Weapons Supplier was in awe. In the second installment of In the Line of Fire dustrho recaps the major affect the three prequel films would impact his life. Click the button and check out the story "One Year Later" and let us know if they had the same impact on you. You can return fire in our forums. |

“Hey Troopers, Darth Vegas checking in with a quick report on the Sideshow 1/4 scale Grievous. Mine arrived yesterday and it is a total freaking mind blower. This guy redefines the words Premium Format. The detail is perfect and the craftsmanship is first rate. He looks absolutely killer on my shelf. I lit him from the back and front with blue LED's and he comes alive as the cold calculated killer that he is. I hope you get a chance to look this one over. It's remarkable! Peace Out and stay frosty Troopers.”tpinney2@cox.net |
We update our Sandwatch Menu today with the Target Exclusive Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter. There is nothing better than sliding in behind an unsuspecting Jedi and blowing them out of the sky. For a group that considers themselves to be so wise you can only laugh when you think how easy it was. Sandtrooper Boba Binks has captured this ship and prepared it for your inspection. Are repaints really starting to bother you? Let us know in our forums! |

“The Tatooine Wave has struck NW Indiana! Unfortunately, I missed most of it. I was able to score the Darth Vader from that wave, and I have to tell you all, it just might be the best Darth Vader yet. Though the sculpt has not changed, Hasbro really hit the mark with the placement of the figure, packaging, background, accessory placement, and overall look. I'm really glad I didn't pass this up just because I wasn't interested in another Darth Vader. If anyone has the chance to pick this up, do it! The Wal-Marts and Toys 'R Us are well stocked with the Coruscant, Heroes & Villains, VTSC, and previous waves. Finding these are not a problem. Still awaiting the Hunt for General Grievous Battlepack to hit, as well as keeping an eye out for the rest of the Tatooine wave. Now for those George Lucas Stormtroopers to arrive! Until then, United We Find! Transmission out.”pat@sandtroopers.com |

“Hey Troops! Does anyone have an extra Jango Fett slave one from the micro machines titanium series? I need one, and can’t get a hold of one anywhere. If you get magnets and superglue, these make awesome fridge magnets! If there is anyone out there that can help out please let me know, there isn’t too much to report on the action figure front, unless you like things you already have!”sithryan@msn.com |

The 6th and final installment of the Star Wars movies will make its television debut on June 3rd at 8:00pm on HBO. This movie will probably be in rotation for sometime and I just know that no matter when I turn it on I will have to watch the remaining of it. Check out the official word on this story here. It's a good thing to see there is more to watch than the Sopranos! |

From the depths of hell and my right hand side, our S.C.A.L.P. Weapons Supplier has brought a new editorial feature entitled: In the Line of Fire. Check out the first installment that goes deep inside the suburbs of Chicago, where figures are endless and boxes are stacked tall! From the earliest memories to modern day tips on taking care of your collection, this is something you do not want to miss. If you'd like to give your input, you can return fire in our forums. |

“Jedimasterc here. Well, a fellow collector hid a Clone Wars gunship for me on Friday, so I went to Toys R Us and found it, boy the thing awesome. Also, I bought 2 biker scouts today and am not interested in the Lucas Stormtrooper figure. I am giving away the 2 stickers that came with the figure and the order forms. If anyone needs them let me know, I'd be glad to drop them in the mail for a good Trooper.”c-ryan@mchsi.com |
“Hey all. It has been dry lately but I have found a few things here and there. I went to my Wal-Mart and picked up two Tarkins that appear to be ROTS leftovers. I'll offer them up for trade if anyone is interested. Also, In the Wal-Mart in Saint Augustine (FL), I was able to locate scant remnants of wave 4 and was able to obtain a Firespeeder Pilot. The Targets around here are loaded with Senate Skirmish Packs and Demise of Grievous. A very nice set and figure I must say. Still no sign of Biker Scouts or X-Wing Luke though. The Heroes and Villains so far have not reared their heads yet either.”patriotspride2003@yahoo.com |

It’s been a tough week in northern IL. I’ve made a few stops at the Wal-Mart in Antioch, IL where they were sporting the remains of the Revenge of the Sith wave, and a new stock of the heat-sealed VTSC figures. There were also remnants of the first Heroes and Villains wave. Let me just say this is a really poor choice for the direction of this line. The reason I say this because I’ve got loyal hardcore veterans writing and saying things like they’ve quit collecting Hasbro toys. When I saw Chicano Dom was cashing in his Hasbro chips, I realized the problem isn’t getting any better. While there hasn’t been too much to offer in stores, we can all be pleased the Skirmish at the Senate and Demise of Grievous have been a relatively easy score for many. A few months ago I wrote an article about the new Unleashed Battle Packs, and how I was not at all thrilled with them. At the time I was disappointed that Hasbro chose to go with the smaller lineup of figures over the larger, more detailed versions, but now I have to say that I am quite impressed with these. I regret the comments I previously made about these. These are very well done for the scale that they are, and the price isn’t all that bad either as you get four figures in decent poses. Check out the first of several Image Guides that I will be doing on these Unleashed Battle Packs, starting off with Yoda’s Elite Clone Troopers. |

“Some good news coming from Central Texas finally! TRU finally received a shipment on the Clone Wars Gunship and this thing is sweet when all put together...now I just need some AOTC pilots for this badboy. TRU also received some of the VTSC figures, some heat-sealed, some taped. All the Wal-Marts around here have put out several cases of the Heroes & Villains wave and they are starting to warm the pegs, less the clones.... still no sign of the newly released Unleashed Shock or the rest of that wave. Target has sold out of the Grievous exclusive, but there are plenty of BattlePacks left there. I saw the Titanium Sandtrooper once, but it was smashed all over, so I will wait for him to come back around. Surprisingly Kmart has received the Throne Room Battlepack and the 501st Battlepacks, but still crazy priced at $35. KBToys received some UGH figs and I scored an extra At-At driver if anyone is interested. Well that's all from central Texas, Starfox signing out...”starfox@hot.rr.com |
“Good Morning Troops. I gave my Dewback his usual Starbucks caffeine fix for our Toy Run this morning of 5 stores. We hit up the Indy K-Mart on East St. and I was surprised a bit by what I found. I admit that I have avoided this store for quite awhile, but may put this one on my normal stops. They had the Imperial Throne Room and the Jedi Temple Attack sets. Also on their shelves were the Darth Vader figure case with 2 figs and some of the Kmart Super Deformed Figs. It was good to see some of the older things again.” For the entire report click here.chad.mcdonald@sbcglobal.net |

“A quickie update from Hotlanta today. All the current is out in plenty of supply. VTSC, Coruscant, Skirmish and Grievous are hanging out like warmers and H&V is everywhere. I even found the 7" Unleashed wave this morning. The only thing missing is the UGHs! Keep up the good work, and you know how I feel about the scalpers! (Catch phrase changed due to recent editing by the ST Staff!)”djohnson@internap.com |

“It has been awhile since my last post and I thought I would give a little update to what is going on down here in So Cal. Grievous figures and the Skirmish in the Senate packs are in full force. I picked up 3 extra sets for anyone who still needs one. I am only asking for cost plus shipping on these, figured I'd help a few of you out if you needed the help, so send me an email. I would rather see one or two or three of you get one rather than send them back. Not much else going on, VOTC figs have come and gone, haven't seen much in the way of UGH's or new waves. I also wanted to let everyone know that my Hasbro collecting days are over.” For more on why click here.chicanodom@msn.com |
“If there is any Sandtroopers that are looking for the new 7-inch Unleashed figures in Huntsville Alabama, listen up. I found 3 or 4 cases of Han Stormtrooper, Shock trooper and Chewbacca at Wal-Mart is morning before work. They were on an end cap away from the other Star Wars stuff. These things look great. I don't have pictures to back this up.”c-ryan@mchsi.com |
“Hey Troops, Sean V from Canada here reporting the Clone Wars gunship has shown up here at Toys r us. My local one got in 22 so far which is probably all they'll get. The interesting thing is they don't have the galactic hint sticker on the box and their all U.S. boxes with no French? I just thought it was weird how they didn’t have the sticker, which I like. Anybody notice this in their travels? I'm just curious.”verestiuk@golden.net |
“Hi Troops, Donna from So Cal reporting in. The Heroes & Villains wave has started to hit Target. Also plenty of Skirmish in the Senate and Demise of Grievous sitting on the pegs. The first waves (formerly Wal-Mart excl) of Titanium vehicles are also hitting Target. The VTSC are not hanging around. If I do find some on the pegs, 95% of the time the Proof of Purchases is missing. I need to give major thanks to three fellow troopers (Dallas, Newfiend, and TD3109) for helping me with my UGH collection. However, I still need more help. I have an extra UGH AT-AT and 2 UGH Anakins to trade. I need any UGH fig with any of the following silver holograms: Darth Maul, Luke, and Vader. Please email me if you can help. Thanks and Happy Hunting to all!”theloneswlady@adelphia.net |

They're here! The success of the DC Star Wars Collecting Club's first charity pin sale, the Yoda pin in 2004, has spawned another pin-for-charity drive. This year's pin , authorized by Lucasfilm, features Chewbacca hanging off the Washington Monument clutching a captured TIE Fighter as two more hover in the background. 100% of the profits will be donated to the Children's Inn at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. This Chewbacca Kong pin is approximately 1 3/4" high and displays the DCSWCC logo at the bottom. Two clasps on the back ensure a secure hold. Only 1000 have been made, $10 each (includes shipping), limit 5 per customer. For more on this visit the DCSWCC. |
There have been many exclusive Star Wars figures done in the last thirty years; there was the Jorg Sacul figure from Celebration II, the talking Darth Vader from Celebration III, and even the more recent Ultimate Galactic Hunt George Lucas in Stormtrooper disguise figure. These are all great figures that have been sold in an exclusive format, but what about those “other” exclusive figures that Hasbro have come up with? I’m talking about all of those silver painted figures that they pumped out in mass numbers. Check out my article where I share my thoughts about Hasbro’s silver figures, and be sure to share your thoughts about this in our forums. |
The summer months are coming quick and S.C.A.L.P. “Hey Troopers! Luck came my way here in the First Coast and I want to share the wealth. Again, I appear to have missed the Scout Troopers by only thirty minutes or so as I saw what looked like a case of VTSC and almost the entire wave 4 at the Town Center Target by University of North Florida. Of the missing was the Firespeeder pilot. I’m sorry but there was nothing left this morning as I had got what I could and I noticed a few others scratching for the VTSC figs and some remnants of wave 4 before I left. For you package variant collectors, I have in my hands UGH figures Darth Vader (#13) and Han Solo (#02). I'll sell them at seven each plus 8-priority shipping (PayPal please) or I can trade them. I am in need of VOTC Stormtroopers, Evolutions Sandtroopers, Fire Speeder Pilot and VTSC Scout Troopers. Good luck and happy hunting!”patriotspride2003@yahoo.com |

After particpating in a tournament weeks ago, I have ordered our Video Game section updated with an all new review of Battlefront II. Snipe and Rabid Ewok have ripped apart every level and have learned a great history lesson about our great heritage! Are you any good at Battlefront II? Do you think they made improvements by leaps and bounds since the debut title? Let us know in our forums. |

You know what they say about rest and the wicked right? Our update today comes in the form of the great George Lucas and what many would consider the luckiest kids in the galaxy. Sandtrooper Boba Binks has included shots of all four and in true Hasbro fashion, even one you already have. Even George almighty isn't immune to the rehash virus! What do you think aboutthese figures? Do you plan to add these to your collection? Let us know in our forums. |

“HothChad from Minnesota. Just a quick update as to what's happening up here. The Heroes and Villains wave has shown up at Wal-Mart, found a complete set at one store. Lots of the Coruscant Wave on the pegs. Have yet to see any of the VTSC figures at Wal-Mart. Target has been a little slow as of lately. They received another case of the VTSC figures; Battlepacks and Demise of Grievous still can be had. Remember United We Find. HothChad Out!”chadbarb@sherbtel.net |
“Hey Troops, here is my report for northern Lake County, IL today:Target (Waukegan & Gurnee IL): “has the Demise of Grievous and Skirmish at the Senate sets back in stock. Sears Grand (Gurnee IL): “has the Jedi Temple Assault & Imperial Throne Room sets in stock but still priced at $29.99 as did the Kmart in Zion, IL. Toys R Us (Gurnee, IL) “has plenty of the pricey Titanium Bossk & Sandtrooper figures available. There's nothing else to report concerning the basic figures until the Mos Eisley wave hits. That's all for now. Later Troops.” wrightcombo@juno.com |

“Tamer here. It is finally good to be able to report something as it has been pretty dry in my area. I was finally able to see some of the VTSC figs, even the biker scout, and these were the taped versions. I also saw the new titanium ships and some more of the Coruscant waves minus the UGH chase figs. I was even able to pick up an UGH Slave I as I finally saw these on the pegs. It was a pretty good haul for my stores. Thanks to Recon Sgt., gran3131, Darth Aussie, and good ol HothChad the tamer was able to keep his collection up to date and moving even though I was dealing with a family situation. Thanks guys! By the way, the new Sandtroopette is due on Monday!”sggroves@access.k12.wv.us That is the best news we could have heard! Congrats! |

The onslaught continues and Sandtrooper Boba Binks attacks with four of the latest Titanium Figures from Hasbro. Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Bossk and even a Sandtrooper to begin our first look at this intriguing line-up that brings a slight touch of higher quality to action figure collecting. “Bobafred chiming in from the west end.... Clonewars Republic Gunship (skn: 430762) has landed in So Cal! Toys R Us in Porter Ranch received only two pieces (1 case/box), as well as Valencia, and Van Nuys (Friday Morning! Do ya hear me Robbie!) Woodland Hills (Nada dang ching)?... but Burbank currently has six in stock/transit and has begun to bring in lots of foot traffic/inquiry's. I love free shipping its relief to my after-burners. The Hunt for Grievous/Defense of the Senate Battle pack (skn: 430800) has no signs of hitting this week. Heroes and Villains is also hitting at TRU as well as the Commander Cody wave (Unfortunately no UGH). That same wave hit plentiful at Target this morning, and our now in route to the Pasadena Rose Bowl (Flea Market), courtesy of your Hot Wheel collector’s (Bobafred felt generous today!).On a side note for all of you...and i know that is a whole lot of you collecting the Titanium die cast ships, keep your eyes open for the Titanium shipper displays found on the end cap at Wal-Mart’s only (Just ask). I stacked two of these together full of the Treasure Hunt white Tie Fighter's (wow), with a Death Star dead center (super wow), and I’ll let your mind take to that time in a Galaxy, far, far away...Bobafred on the Hunt!”orozco91331@yahoo.com |
