ROTS Keeps Rising
Spider Who?The long holiday weekend added $70 million to the outstanding total of over $271 million in just a few days shy of 2 weeks since it's debut. The runners up were "Madigascar", and "The Longest Yard" with a respectable $60 million each. Overall, ticket sales have actually dropped for ROTS by 42%, but a 20th Century Fox executive says "It's a relatively small decline considering that blockbuster debuts often are followed by audience erosion of 50% to 60%. When you get that many people in on the first weekend, you almost have to fall that much." I can say that I have seen this movie 3 times and plan another viewing in the near future. It's great to actually look for all of the easter eggs. Check out the many areas at USAtoday.com from all of the ROTS coverage, to a Lucasfilm Q+A, to a write up from Celebration III. Now is the best time to be a fan of Star Wars. It's great seeing this movie come full circle with the original trilogy.

Sandtrooper Dead Hero Reports: Sending Scalpers Into a Tailspin!
Who's Dead?“Troops, I went out and did the Knight Rider run yesterday, traversing north to Racine, WI and back down to Waukegan, IL. Target, K-Mart, and Toys R Us in Racine all came up empty, as well as Super Wal-Mart in Sturtevant. If I was in a bad mood by then, I was at least feeling crabby by the time I returned to home base, finding nada at Zion K-Mart, but the Wave 3 Deluxe Spider Droid and Crab Droid at Waukegan Target. Hoping to find more deluxe today on the lunch runs south of Chicago. Thanks to Sandtroopette Donna and Trooper Tucson for the recent communications and mailings regarding the BK Vaders. I've filed all the requests and still have more to go around, so let me know! As much as some folks may not want to eat at BK, people are winning the bigger prizes in the Star Wars promo (I handed out a cell phone Friday night). So if a Troop wins the Lincoln Navigator, he or she could equip it with anti-scalper armaments and a custom front end push/pursuit beam to execute a push into the corner of a scalper's car to force it into a spin, thus disorienting fleeing scalpers and disabling their vehicles! Whatever your method of scalper reprisal, begin today!”

Sandtrooper Aantmanntooine Reports: Deep S.C.A.L.P. Recon
“I took a trip from Virginia to New York City last week, so I have some wide spread reports. Swung by a Winchester, VA Wal-Mart on my way up and they had about a dozen #41 SA Clones, as it looks like they have started to ship this guy heavily. Saturday, I roamed around the Big Apple a bit, only to stumble across a Dooku Saber Anakin (all his fingers, red saber) at KB’s. They also had plenty of Mustafar playsets and the VOTC 12-inch Chewbacca as well as the ROTS 12-inch Chewbacca. At the Times Square TRU, it was an absolute madhouse with so many families looking through the pegs of ROTS figs I couldn’t take a look. However, in another section of the store, I found that they had a “few” Holographic Yoda in stock for $9.99.”

Sandtrooper Sithryan Reports:"Greetings Troops! Located the Tarkin wave at Wal-Mart, and some scalper scum folded the tops of the cards over. This was obviously intentional. Hey scalper scum! If you can't buy it, leave it alone! We deserve to be able to buy toys that aren't damaged intentionally! Anyway, managed to get a Tarkin and an Ask Aak that were hiding on the bottom shelf. ALSO- I need a Lava Vader. Can anyone help me? I have an Ephant Mon to trade, or I'd pay a fair price. Let me know! I wasn't able to get one. Our Targets sold out the first 30 seconds!"

Sandtrooper Pat Reports:
“Recently at Wal-Mart in Merrillville, IN, I found two Episode I figures, Darth Maul and Naboo Royal Guard. They were no longer in the system, but the manager looked it up and sold it to me for $6.74, saying that Star Wars items never go on clearance (Anyone recall the OTC Lobots for $2?). I bought the Darth maul just for a fun piece. The package is in probably a C-8 condition, a little faded, but okay otherwise. I intend to open it up for my shelf collection unless anyone needs this figure. I'll hold off on opening it until next weekend in case anyone wants it. Just goes to show, keep searching the usual places and you might find unusual things!”

Sandtrooper Mike Hodge Reports:"Hi guys! Big Mike Hodge here with a report from Cincinnati. Nothing new at Wal-Mart or Toys 'R Us but Target did get in the new wave 3 deluxe figures. I picked up the all white Clone Trooper 3-packs and a Stass Allie pack. If you find them make sure you check the paint job on Stass Allie, because two of the three they had at Western Hills had crazy eyes and sloppy paint on their heads. Another guy and myself were there before a local traders world scalper came back. We had all the new stuff in our hands so he couldn't get anything. Keep up the fight and don't let the scalpers win. That's all for now. Big Mike Hodge out."

This site has the greatest collectors anywhere. Just had to say that. When I first found this little niche of cyberspace I had my doubts (thought, ebay in disguise), but you all are the best and I’m proud to be a Sandtrooper! On the collecting side, I’ve been able to army build SA Clones thanks to Target. They seem to be the only ones stocking more than 1 at a time around here. Otherwise not much to report, Toys R Us here doesn’t seem to realize there’s figures above # 32 and Wal-Mart is hit or miss. But I head to Vegas tomorrow and if my leaving Atlanta luck holds up I should come back broke thanks to the tables, but with some of the June 1st items in my bags. “Hey Troops, Well, I visited 4 Meijer, 4 Kohl, 2 Target, 2 Wal-Mart and 1 Toys R Us today. Still couldn’t find #11 Vader or #23 Guard Red or Blue. Went from Howell MI to the upper part of Livonia. Pretty much all the stores were well stocked, mostly with all the same figs #1-10, #24-34. No luck finding anything over #44 but that maybe just because they are not out yet here. Kohls in Brighton had a ton of #41 and a couple Dookus, which seem to be in short supply around here. Wal-Mart in Howell had 3 or 4 #38 AT-TE clones, Target in Brighton had 1. A lot of deluxe figs at Target.”

New Wave of Figures Are Out!
Sandtrooper Boba Binks Reports:Hey troops. This morning I was out and made a stop into Wal-Mart (Greenwood, IN.) As I looked over the many brown Wookiees, Destroyer Droids, Clone Troopers, Neimodian Warriors, and more I found hidden among them #45 Tarkin, #46 AskAak, and #47 Meena Tills. I picked up one of each. It looked as Wal-Mart only stocked two cases with the new figures since there were two of each. Also, the Hasbro Rep was there and I talked to her as usual. If you want a Darth Tater you better pick it up real soon. He is going to be replaced with Spud Trooper this fall.

I have not heard of a brown variant, although I know there was a brown packed in with the Queen's Starship from EI. Wouldn't surprise me if this was another case of the old switcheroo.

I didn't need it however, because I was able to use my bare hands to easily dig a gaping hole into the wall of figures greeting me, bristling with army builders and other newer figures at the plaza's Wal-Mart. No. 41 Clone Troopers, AT-TE Gunners, Clone Commanders, blue Royal Guards, brown Vulture droid, and the corrected Anakin with Dooku saber (reported by both Pat and Tim and Amy) were all there. No sign of the speeder bike with Jedi yet. I want to thank the Troops who have requested a BK Vader, and let you all know that if you need one to just let me know. The first 2 MN troopers to shoot me an e-mail can have one each. My only request is you come and pick it up as shipping these would cost a bundle and they are fairly large. “I read an article on CNN's money website that says that there is a watchdog group out there that are trying to get Burger King to pull the Star Wars promotion (including mainly the toys) due to the fact that the movie has a PG-13 rating. Yoda's Lightsaber Available this Summer!
Yoda's LightsaberFrom Master Replicas: "Size matters not... unless we’re talking about edition size that is. That’s right on May 26, exactly one week after the release of Star Wars: Episode III, we will stop taking orders on Yoda’s Revenge of the Sith Limited Edition Lightsaber. Then in approximately two weeks we will be announcing the final edition size for the LE. On that date, the edition size will be frozen in carbonite, locked away forever. And if you thought the diminutive Jedi Master’s saber saw some action in Attack of the Clones, well, after Revenge of the Sith, you’ll definitely want to add his weapon to your collection. So before Master Yoda disappears into the misty world of Dagobah, be sure to get YOUR Yoda Limited Edition Lightsaber NOW. Once it’s gone, it will be lost forever to the murky swamps of the secondary market at prices so high, you could almost buy your own ship for them."

Head on over to the Master Replicas website to order yourself one of these!

Sandtrooper Pat Reports:
“In response to a post I read earlier from Tim & Amy, according to Hasbro, the mistake is with packaging Anakin with the extra hand and Vader saber. The Dooku "Variant" is the corrected version and that is the one you will see packaged from now on. The other one with the Vader saber that almost everyone has is technically the variant, though not hard to find, so if you don't have the Dooku variant yet, be patient. It should start showing up in large numbers any day now, as it has in my neck of the woods in Northwest Indiana. I have seen it al all stores.”

“Hi there! First, I would like to thank you guys for the nice t-shirt...I got one while walking the streets of Indy during Celebration 3, and I have been checking your site every since. Anyway, I wanted to know if you had any idea if I could find the set in the box they were selling at the Celebration 3 store and where...I checked the Starwarsshop.com site and they had no information there, so I thought I would ask. I noticed K&C Collectibles still had the Celebration 1 badges, so I thought perhaps some site might have the C3 set...any info is helpful...thanks for the great site, and may the force be with you!”

“Hey Troops! I hope you get this on time. I just purchased (2:30 PM ET) a Convention 3 talking Vader at StarWarsShop.com. You have to be a member, but there is a 3-month trial membership with the Early bird kits from Wal-Mart. I enjoyed the ROTS movie, it was a nostalgic feeling ending with "the beginning", like going back to 1977... MTFBWY!”

Anyone have a 12-inch Plo Koon?“Troops, East Central Wisconsin reporting in: First of all ROTS gets better every time I see it. Favorite moment: when the Emperor's "little green friend" (and I ain't talkin' 'bout Kermit) dispatches two royal guards with barely a flick of the hand. Guess it is easy being green. Anyway, picked up two AT-TE gunners as well as 12" Shaak-Ti and 12" Bariss Offee at Wal-Mart. They also had both flavors of Wookiee Warriors and all figs through #44, which I already had. At Target recently, picked up Vulture droid vehicle (brown). Just need Stass Allie on bike to get caught up. And Hey, where was Mon Momtha and Shaak-Ti? Time to carry out order 67 (kill all scalpers).”

ROTS Ruling the Galaxy!
Yoda about to kick some butt!It shouldn't be a surprise to most people, but Revenge of the Sith broke many new records over the weekend. It broke the single-day record by selling $50 million on Thursday, and it sold approximately $158 million during the first four days (Thursday through Sunday). That is an incredibly huge amount of money! Check out the different stories written about the successful opening weekend of ROTS below, and don't forget to share your opinions of the movie here.

    Sandtrooper dustrho Reports:
Hey Troopers! It's dustrho here reporting in from the Chicagoland area, and it's been quite a great weekend here. The first thing that made it great is that I saw Revenge of the Sith for the second time yesterday, and the other great thing was that I found a lot of cool Star Wars toys. I picked up several Clone Commanders, Neimoidian Soldiers, Wookiee Warriors, Clone Troopers (#41), AT-TE Gunners, and even the new deluxe Stass Allie with Swoop Bike. There were many other items that were swarming the shelves at Target and Wal-Mart, such as Darth Vader on Operating Table, Vulture Droids, ARC-170 Starfighrers, AT-RTs, Droid Tri-Fighters, and tons of new figures. If you guys and gals haven't made a trip out to your local stores recently, you might want to take another look. There usually isn't this much stuff on the shelves and pegs by the time I get to the stores, but it was truly a great feeling seeing so many cool Star Wars toys ready to take home with me. Until next time, United We Find!

Sandtrooper & Troopette Tim and Amy Report: Extensive S.C.A.L.P. Recon!
You can keep Rob and Amber we got Tim & Amy“Good to be back in the Loop - we have checked out many Wal-Mart and Targets from St. Louis to Pryor, OK (no kidding). We managed to pick up #41 and 42 in Pittsburgh, KS (only ones they had of 41-44) and we found #43 in Miami, OK. Still lacking 44, but we have faith we'll find it soon. Saw ROTS at midnight in Pittsburgh, KS, and even there all 3 screens were sold out (a town with a pop. of about 20,000 plus surrounding rural areas) - awesome. We wanted to see it again on vacation, but with only 2 local theatres, everything was sold out. I have a question about the Anakin with Dooku Saber: Has it ever been determined which figure (hand with red saber or Dooku saber) is the variant? We have one of each, but we find the hand figures everywhere and have only seen the Dooku saber version once (when we bought it). Sorry if this is old news, we just didn't remember seeing it anywhere. We are also still in need of a blue saber Palpatine if anyone has one to trade.

Also found all 4 of the wave 2 deluxe figures - we passed on the Vulture Droid, but picked up Yoda on the bug, Vader on the table, and the Clone Trooper. Got them all at a Wal-Mart in Joplin, MO. We saw Yoda at 2 stores we visited, the Trooper and Vulture Droid in several stores, and the only Vader was the one we bought. Also picked up another Target Clone in Joplin, MO (they had about 9-10). I like the Galactic Heroes line and it seems Wal-Mart stores all over have stumbled across some old cases - we picked up 2 packs of 4-LOM/Bossk and Jawa/Tusken Raider (St. James, MO), and Han/Leia and Luke/R2D2 (Joplin, MO). We also found the new releases of Kit Fisto/Mace Windu, Chewbacca/Clone Trooper, and Super Battle Droid/R2D2 at the Lebanon, MO store. In Pryor, OK we found the Playskool X-wing on clearance for $12.50 (instead of $20). We also found a second Playskool Swamp-Stompin' Yoda in Lebanon, MO and an extra Darth Tater in Pryor, OK. Miami, OK was good for a couple of older figs too - Cantina Encounter Dannik Jerriko and OTC Leia (we passed on a couple of other Cantina Encounter figs), as well as an extra AT-TE Gunner and Red Royal Guard. My favorite find of the trip though was in St. James, MO, where we picked up an Obi-Wan Unleashed figure from 2004 (same wave as Slave Leia and Jedi Luke). Thanks for bearing with our long update - it’s been a great vacation, but its good to be back!”

What is the future of Star Wars and Hasbro?
Hello Troops! I thought that I would pass on some interesting news that I found out about, of the future of Star Wars and Hasbro. I am not saying this is all going to happen since none of it is actually confirmed by Hasbro. It is all second hand information that was passed on to me. So take this information, as you will. Just remember anything can change or happen from now until any of this actually hits store shelves. While we usually do not deal in rumor, I felt it necessary to share this with everyone, but please remember this may or may not happen.

First off we all recall Wal-Mart has the early bird kits with the first 4 figures. Well Hasbro is going to be doing all of the first 12 figures. Hence the Vintage Figure display that is available through the Star Wars Fan Club and other.

For the new upcoming stuff a new package design is in the works, that looks much like the vintage stuff. I hear that they are even going to have kids on the box playing with the toys. So a nice retro look for late 2005/2006 is coming. With the new package design I hear each movie will have it's own design. I heard that after #56 of the ROTS line 58 figures are coming. That is like nine or so figures for each movie. We know that a Tonnika Sister will be in the new line.

There are more Clone Wars Cartoon Figures in the works.

There are three new vehicles for 2006 and some old rehashes. Not sure what they will be. Maybe we will finally get the Cloud Car.

K-Mart is going to have an exclusive figure late this year! It is being rumored to be a painted Clone Trooper like the Target one that is out there. I am hearing it is going to be the Blue ones that Anakin (Vader) leads to the Jedi Temple. This would make sense since K-Mart is Blue Light Special.

If I hear more I will be sure to pass on the news. I guess the thing to remember is things can change from now until the new stuff is actually out. So again take this information, as you will.

    Sandtrooper Dom Reports:
“Thursday night after going to see ROTS, I stopped by the Wal-Mart in Lake Elsinore, Ca. Hoping to find new items; I was able to find the new Wookiee Warrior figure. Knowing from reports that I had read that there was a light and dark version, it did not surprise me when I saw a light and a dark version. The catch, however, was that the darker version looked very similar to Chewbacca! I went ahead and purchased both and made an extra stop at the Target in Murrieta, Ca. Once there, I found the real dark version aside from the one I had just bought with what appeared to be Chewbacca. Now I realize that people actually spend time opening figures and replacing them with older ones, and I figured this was no different.

When I got home and carefully looked at the seal, I noticed that the original glue markings on the edges of the bubble of my regular figures and those on this figure were essentially identical. The take marks do not appear to have been tampered with on back, and they appear to be in their original place. I really believe that this was a mistake by Hasbro, and was hoping that somebody may have found something like this. The date stamp on the back is 50731, which matched the other Wookiee Warrior figures on the pegs in that store. I assure you that I do not do this kind of thing, I am nowhere near that talented, nor am I that cheap. I will say this, if someone switched it, they spent an unbelievable amount of time making this look the way it does, and they really are good at doing this. Here are a picture and another of a close-up to see for yourself. What do you think?”

“Big variation news troopers! I spoke to Julia in customer service at Hasbro America re: the Wookieee variation-no variation Both Wookieee colors are correct per they are both in the movie, along with others, there are no exact production #s for both but the Wookiee is not a variation. Julia said that they were made that way so fans could build a correct Wookiee army if they chose, so looks like Hasbro is looking out for army builders. Just thought I would share this info with you all! Glad to be back online!”

Legacy Trooper“Hey guys, Big Mike Hodge here in Cincinnati with a store report. Wal-Mart in western hills had the chocolate Wookiee warrior 1 #41 clone trooper and a bunch of the rest of the figures from that wave. Toys R Us had nothing but the exclusive Anakin Starfighter. Texas S.C.A.L.P. Border Patrol“Well Troops. It has begun. the last hurrah for our beloved series. I was in my local theater on Wednesday night and enjoyed almost every minute of the new film. I am ready to view it a few more times and really pick out the details soak up the experience. Although none will ever be as good as the first showing. Those are always the best with all the great fans. Enjoy this while it lasts. Now for store reporting:

Target: Best place for any basic figs over #3. Have found #41-44 several times here lately. Nice to see. Only the #43 Vanilla Wookiees so far. No more Target Clones since their first case a few weeks back. Also they have been great w/ the deluxe line. Found wave 3 there just yesterday. This morning...the pegs were filled up w/ new stock of #36-#40. Lots of AT-TE Gunners and the like. Good to take advantage of the $4.99 sale.

TRU: Well not much has changed there since April 2. They do have quite a few of the TRU Exclusive Anakin Starfighters. But they have the same basic figures since day one. Also they have some of the battle arenas. (Only place in my area that has them.) But they have lots and lots of stock; it’s just all not on the cutting edge of "new". But at this point nothing is really "old" product. Only a few days left for the 20% off coupons. Granted my store won't take it, but if yours does.... go get stuff.

Wal-Mart 1 & 2: Good for all basic figures up to #40. Not much on the large-scale vehicles at either. A few ARC-170 and no gunships. But they have a lot of product out also. One WM has nearly a 1000 (no kidding) of the Titanium series. Lots of shelf space for those guys. But they are not as good at putting out "new" items as my Target. They just have too much on the shelves right now. Overload in only the way WM can. So things are pretty stable here. Lots of stuff all over. The plastic Empire is in full force. Good luck to all. Enjoy the movie and our entire grand finale. And as always Hunt'em down, Troops.”

“Hey Troopers! LaGrange, IL, I had some finds at the Quarry Shopping Center in Hodgkins/Countryside. The newest wave made its second appearance in as many weeks. Target had No. 42 Neimoidian Warrior, No. 44 Destroyer Droid, two No. 41 Clones, and a bunch of No. 43 Wookiee Warriors. They also had most of figures No. 33 through 40. At $4.99 per figure, the selection and the price, like two swords, sharpened each other. Wal-Mart at the other end of the plaza had almost exclusively all newer figures (mostly 33 through 40), with a couple Wookiee Warriors as the only figure present from 41 through 44. This Wal-Mart also had a lone 12-inch Barriss Offee. To all the Troopers who have contacted me requesting a BK Vader: I have yours set aside. I am welcoming any more requests and will gladly ship for cost plus shipping or will trade to those Troops I am able to get one for. I'll Serve You BK Gourmet. New Trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II
LucasArts has recently released a new trailer for the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront II. The biggest new feature of them all is that in this game you can actually fly a great number of vehichles in the air and up in space, which looks to be a lot of fun. Some of the ships that were noticable in the game were the ARC-170 Starfighter, V-Wing Fighter, TIE Interceptor and many more! Also new to the game is the ability to play a number of different Jedi and Sith, two that stuck out were Mace Windu and Darth Maul. Even though the game is expected to be released sometime this November, you can still pre-order your very own copy at StarWarsShop.com. Let us hear your thoughts and concerns about this over in our forums!

Doesn't play well with others!“I hope my fellow Troops had an AWESOME night like I did. My sidekick Bobby "The Rabid Rancor" Lopez and I went to Burger King before we got in line, I was able to catch up on my SW kids meal toys, and the woman asked if I had found a Vader yet, I told him a friend found me one (Thanks Dead Hero) but Bobby hadn't, so she handed him one and smiled. Bobby almost needed a change of shorts. We got in line around 3pm (#3 and #4 bay-bee!) Met a TON of cool people, a husband and his 9 month pregnant wife who prayed the baby would hold un till 5/20, and the crew behind us had the SW trivial pursuit game (after a while I think they hated me, a half hour of right answers I finally fudged an answer so we could move on to other players) the staff at Arbor Lakes 16 was cool and came and took orders for food so we wouldn't have to leave the line, and they waved the "No outside food" rule (we actually at Famous Daves Devils Spit burgers IN the theater) We were seated around 6pm around 7.

Bobby saved our seats and we drove up to the Wal-Mart, much to my army building happiness they had 5 #41 SA Clones and 2 #6 Clones. I GAVE (take that scalper scum!) 2 to Bobby. Upon seeing the #41's one of the above mentioned theater employees saw the Clones and told us it was the last one he needed to finish his collection (for now) I took him out to my car and sold him one at cost, and told him in the future to check out Sandtroopers.com and our Anti-Scalping rules, hope to see him here soon. As we waited people had Lightsaber wars at the front of the theater to the cheers of the audience. In the group were several Master Replica F/X Lightsabers, my wife commented on how nice they looked as she had never seen anything but the plastic Hasbro. I told her they sold them at Borders and Best Buy and they were very cool but expensive. My wife left for popcorn, an hour passed, and she comes back to our seats and hands me. A Master Replicas F/X Darth Vader Lightsaber, she saw how impressed I was with them and went to the Borders down the street and bought me one, thus securing her Best Wife on the Planet status. I'll keep it short on the film, it was so cool, I forgot to breathe several times. Can't wait to see it again, and again, and again, and again.”

Sandtrooper Parkay Reports: Don't Sleep on the K!
It's not buttah!“Hey Troops, I keep hearing about reports of what people find at Walmart, Target and Toys r us, but don't forget to give Kmart a check every now and then. Here in Sumter SC, Kmart had the entire new wave of deluxe figs, 12-inch Grievious's, plenty of deformed figs, lots of Red Guards and althought they didn't have any figs past #36 I did pick up 2 Blue saber Palpatine's. Which I'd be willing to trade one for a #43 Wookie warrior (brown version). Also the prices are a bit higher at Kmart, but basic figures are on sale for 5.44 this week and 10% off all other star wars figures. So it's definitely worth stopping and checking Kmart on those toy runs still.”

    Sandtrooper Hoth Chad Reports:
“Went and saw the 12:01 showing and it was great! Went out looking for anything new today and here is what I found: Wal-Mart: figures 1-44 Target: one Target didn't have any new figures, except they did have 11 of the exclusive clone troopers. The stores must be able to receive more than one case of these, because last week they were out. Stopped by another Target and they had figures 1-44 and also the AT-RT. This is the first I have seen of the in our area. HothChad out.”

    Sandtrooper Dave Reports:
“Dave reporting in from Ames, IA. Target finally put out their deluxe wave 2 and some 41-44 figures. I picked up the only 41 they had. Also saw 24 (yes, 24) Target exclusive clones sitting on the pegs, so I picked up 2. When I got home I noticed the pegs had a different emblem then the other one I had. Anybody have information on these variants? Wal-Mart and K-mart only had numbers 40 and lower, with a slue of Clone Commanders, Medical Droid, etc, but no AT-TE gunners anywhere. The Target and Wal-Mart in Ankney, IA also had the same items (minus the Target exclusive).”
    vampirexxi@yahoo.com

Dave, I do recall seeing an article relating to these variants at Yakface.com a few days ago.

    Sandtrooper Pat Reports:
“Starting to fill in here in NW Indiana. Target in Merrillvile had just about everything from #1-44, including the "Chocolate" Wookie Warrior, plenty of #41 Clone Trooper, but still no #38 AT-TE tank gunners, though I did score the Anakin with Dooku saber. Meijer in Merrillvile had the same. Toys R Us in Merrilville had the TRU Exclusive Anakin Starfighter, but not much else note worthy there. Wal-Mart in Merrillville had lots of #41-44, including the "Vanilla" wookie warrior. Wal-Mart in Schererville, Target in Highland, and Meijer in Highland were a little lacking as of last night. Getting pumped for the Big Show tonight!”

    Sandtrooper Keith Reports:
“I’ve been reading different posts about Troopers and their finds at local stores so I figured I would drop a line about the incredible luck I had today. First I went to Toys R Us and found 2 Vaders, a Battle Droid and a General Grievous #9. Then went to Target, which didn’t have anything on the shelf so I asked, and employee if they had anything in the back. He returned with two unopened cases. I pulled out two Vader Medical Droid, Polis Massan, and the elusive AT-TE Tank gunner. Feeling the force was with me I went down the street to a Meijers where I hit the mother load! A Neimoidian Warrior, Clone Pilot, Exploding Grievous, Clone Commander and best of all the Red Royal Guard! Pretty good for a days work. There were numerous #43 Wookiee Warriors and Clone Pilots! Roger Ebert Reviews ROTS
Roger EbertRoger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times has written a review of Revenge of the Sith, and he gave it 3.5 out of 4 stars. His review was blunt by saying, "His reaction is that of a nice kid in a teenage comedy [about Padme's pregnancy], trying to seem pleased while wondering how this will affect the other neat stuff he gets to do. To say that George Lucas cannot write a love scene is an understatement; greeting cards have expressed more passion." He does say a lot of good things about the movie though, so read his full review here.

    Sandtrooper Jon Reports:
Description"Boston, MA: I went on a mini toy run today. Both Target and Toys R' Us had many sales including basic figures marked down to $4.99. The Toys R' Us in Somerville had the Holographic Yoda figures out, the VOTC figures marked down to $7.99, plenty of the exclusive Anakin Fighters, but no new basic figures. The Target in Somerville had figures #41-44, the Vader with operating table, no exclusive Target Clone Trooper, and one rude employee who was not friendly when I asked about the Target Clones while he was re-stocking the Star Wars figures. The Target in Everett had three empty pegs where the Target exclusive Clone Troopers should be and nothing else good. I was trying to be good and not blow money, but I broke down to get the Toys R' Us Yoda and some Clone Troopers. The kids were going nuts at Target. It's funny how they find toys appealing for different reasons than the adults do. I pointed out to one young man that figures #41-44 where out, but he was totally uninterested. He stated that the Neimodian Warrior was "freaky" looking, nor was he interested in the Super Articulated Clone Trooper stating that he already had a Clone Trooper. I'm getting totally psyched for the movie now. Ebert and Roeper gave it two thumbs up too and didn't have much bad to day about it either."

    Sandtrooper DJ Dark Side Reports:
“Found Target Ex. Clone Troopers at Lake Zurich Target on Rand. Asked for them via the DCPI, and the associate was nice to bring me out a couple. The thing is, is he brought out the entire box and asked ME where they went. I told him that they were Target exclusives and were only to be given out to the people who asked for them so that the dreaded scalp-heads wouldn't get them all. Anyway, I walked away and I overheard him talking to someone in the back, and I guess they told him to bring them all out and hang them on the pegs-UGH!. I am going to try to get a few more Sunday morning, if they're still there for any troopers that may need some! Willing to trade or sell at retail. Also, I have #'s 37-40 for anyone willing to trade or sell to someone in need, at retail of course! Thanks and great job on the site! Fellow site fan, DJ Dark Side...”

One of SoCal's Finest!“There is not much to report out here in Tatooine-like So Cal as we have seen no Target clones, hardly any 33-40 figures except a few here and there, nothing past 41, no TRU exclusive Anakin Starfighter, nor any of the second or third deluxe wave. Seems like these are more on the east coast, but definitely not out here. Kinda dry out here, just like the weather. Anyways, I wanted to shout out to a few troopers who definitely need to be recognized. First, a big shout out to Sithryan for hooking me up with some items I have been waiting a long time for, as well as some I did not even know existed. Thanks a ton! Second, to new troopers Tim and Amy from St. Louis. They were able to help me with a Target Lava Vader. You guys will fit into this site just fine. Everyone, I can vouch for them! And lastly to Darth Spice for the trade for the Sandtrooper T-shirts. I will wear them with pride, especially at the Comic Con this summer.
