Sandtrooper OKC reports:
"Make me an offer: TC-14, R2-B1, NABOO ROYAL SECURITY GUARDS, R2-Q5, K-3PO, and ADMIRAL MOTTI. I would like to sell all as a set. I had a post earlier in the month and I think I was greedy with my quotes, so all reasonable offers accepted. Don't forget the moment of silence Monday at 3:00 pm for those that have made the ultimate sacrifice."

My family and I would like to say thanks to ALL the Soldiers out there who have fought, and still are fighting, for freedom. We would not have it so well in this country without all the things you have done. Thanks, and keep up the good work on the war on terrorism.

Sandtrooper jadesfire reports:
"The Super Target in St. Charles, Illinois on Rt. 64 had two of the new Super Battle Droid Deluxe packs Wednesday night around 4:00. Both were in pretty dinged up shape. I didn't need these so both are probably still there. If you want them, go get 'em!
"And what do I find at the Toys 'R' Us in Fox Valley today around 1:00 on this glorious Sunday? The Imperial 4 pack! There are 6 left so go get 'em! I like this set. I really like the new sculpt for the AT-ST driver, but there is more! The Wal-Mart on Rt. 59 in Naperville had one lone flying R2-D2 with a somewhat crushed bubble. I picked it up for an opener.
"I also found Unleashed Leia at the Toys 'R' Us in Downers Grove on 75th street. There was only one and I got it. Some guy did pick her up before I did but when he saw the look on my face he put it back on the pegs for me. I want to thank this guy, he really made my day!!!!! That is all for now!!! NO MORE NEW TOYS EXIST!!!! I AM TIRED OF THIS GAME!!!!! BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH SAYS THE WALMART, Target, and Toys 'R' Us toys Manager."

Sandtrooper 'Code Name: DUSTY' reports:
"The Toys 'R' Us in Bloomington, IL now has the Imperial Forces 4-pack in stock. Well, they did as of last night at least. When I went there they had 4 of them on the bottom shelf so they could be easily missed. They had lots of peg warmers, especially Wattos. They had one Watto where his head was completely turned around backwards in the package, which looked pretty funny."

Sandtrooper DP reports:
"New figs in Southern California!!! Went by Target in Ventura, Ca and found Barriss, Aayla, Yoda and Chian, the Jedi padawans wave. I go by at least once a week and this is the first I have seen of this wave or anything new for that matter in months. I opened the case and all were a bit crushed but not too bad so I picked them up but left a few behind. Everything else has been older waves. Collectors keep trying and may the Force be with you."

Area Findings...Or lack of
Hey Troopers, After a week of taking a stab here and there I have found only the newer deluxe figures (Spider Droid/Super Battle Droid) at Target Stores in N. Illinois. Gurnee and Vernon Hills both have them. Toys 'R' Us is certainly not Star Wars 'R' Us, pegs have been wiped clean but yet to be replaced with new goods. I am glad they are starting to filter in on the coasts but N. Illinois and S. Wisconsin seem to all share this never ending Saga of Retail Impotence! It is a shame. I see every other brand with new product, He-Man, G.I. Joe etc. all seem to get newer product while I stare at Ki-Adi Mundi and Teemto and Jango Pilot. The only place I have found new 3-3/4 inch figures has been Wal-Mart and every one beat "Beyond Belief!" When will it end? I am patient and have of the new figures but this is silly. It is just like before the Power of the Jedi were released. Maybe this "new" package that is coming will help jump start the greatest Action Figure line ever produced. Have Patience and don't loose focus, they're coming. Slowly but surely. Good luck to all of you, Kick A#$ and take Names!

Sandtrooper Tex Mex reports:
"Houston, Texas Toys 'R' Us at Kirby-Old Spanish Trail has 5 Imperial 4-packs left after I picked one up myself, $19.99 + tax. Target in that area has nothing new. I checked 2 Wal-Marts at the I-10 east, nothing new."

Extensive Poll # 4 Results ( 11 March - 22 May 2003 )
With all of the hoopla surrounding the Imperial Shuttle we decided to take a look back into the hype that surrounded this particular exclusive. Back when people were trying to get their names on the list at F.A.O. and worried to death that this would be the prize that slipped through their collective fingers this year.
The month of truth arrived and the Shuttles began to filter in to happy collectors across the globe. Some were happy, only a few were sad about the shipping process. Our Extensive Poll here at Sandtroopers helped us back this up. The interesting thing happened several weeks ago when we were flooded with reports of Troops receiving extras, yes, extras of this coveted prize. Many claiming they were, yes, billed, but F.A.O. sent more than they wished to purchase! You don't have to believe in Ronald Reagan's 'Trickle Down Economics' to see that they are now indeed even trickling into K-B Toys Online for under $100. So really Troops did they only make five thousand or are they cooking our goose?
Listen up FAO and Hasbro, three times the number of people that were either satified or hadn't gotten this yet, were NOT SATISFIED. Some Troopers wrote in telling me they had gotten a case of the "Shuttle Shivers" from the dizzying ups and downs of this wild ride. This is just like when this toy store took a bath on the Episode I Fambaa back in 1999.
Next up is Star Tours, a joint venture of Hasbro and Disney. Is the Mouse in your House? Or do you simply have no use for a box with an arm on it? Vote on this topic above in Extensive Poll No. 5. If you need some help to get your pencil moving, view Sandtrooper Nexu's Attack's detailed Gallery of the latest Star Tours releases.

Sandtrooper Raja reports:
"There are 3 Imperial 4-packs left (12:30pm PDT on 5/23/03) in TRU in Redwood City, California. I'm not into these except for the Droid. The price is $19.99. I had no cash, so I did not buy any. Good Luck."

Sandtrooper Scott reports:
"Hello Sandtroopers: The Meijer stores in SouthEast Michigan are probably starting to get the current wave of figures. I found 2-3 each of Han (Hoth), Chewbacca (Mynock hunt), Boba Fett (Carkoon), Anakin (Secret Ceremony), R2-D2 (flight), Padme (factory chase), and Eeth Koth at the Flint/East store on Thursday morning. However, I returned to the store in late afternoon/early evening and they were all gone! Check your Meijer stores quickly and frequently! I still have not seen Aayla Secura or Barriss Offee."

Sandtrooper "THE CHAD" rants:
"Anyone who placed an order for the Imperial 4-pack at Amazon.com, listen up. It has been pushed back to July. I read the reports of people finding this set. The way our Toys 'R' Us is, we will never see this thing. Our store employees are the dumbest people on the face of this planet. They told me that they won't get any Star Wars figures until Episode 3. I know it has just been found but if we do see it at all, our TRU will only get one shipment of them and that's it. TRU Sucks. I also need three R5-D2's from Disney if anyone who lives near there can get them for me."

I just got back from my trip around town, and I am sad to say that there is nothing new in Wausau, Wisconsin. Shop-Ko had first run figures and C-3PO Droid Factory deluxe sets, Target had NO figures, but had the Death Star and Hoth accessory sets. Wal-Mart had three Jango pilots, and an Endor Soldier with beard. That's the report from Central Wisconsin. Good luck and happy hunting in your neck of the woods.

Sandtrooper Danny B. reports:
"This is Danny B from So. Cal. It has been a while but there has been nothing to report. The answer to Scott's question is yes, some of us have colleted LOTR figures and even Simpsons figures. I don't know what's up with Hasbro not sending out enough product, it's not for a lack of interest like they want you to believe, it's just laziness. You would think that working in retail I would be able to find new figures but that has not been the case, Hasbro just is not sending out the stuff.
"It really bugs me that retailers don't care whether they put out new stuff and Hasbro could care even less. I have yet to see any 2003 figures and the year is almost half over. Scalpers waiting at TRU''s door when it opens to buy the one case they send does not help either. I was at TRU the other day and it looked like they had just stocked the shelf with more April 23rd stuff from last year. What do we do and what is the official word from Hasbro?"

Sandtrooper Jedi Vacation reports:
"I found the Saga Imperial Forces Four-Pack at the National City, California Toys 'R' Us, there were more and they were $19.99. Also, at the Morena TRU Store by Mission Bay, they had Sith Attack Speeder with Darth Maul in an Episode 1 box for $1.97. I never saw them the first time around, its the one they didn't use on the movie. All in all, a pretty good day. Good luck."

Sandtrooper Scott reports:
"Hello Sandtroopers. I know this is supposed to be a faithful Star Wars site, but I am wondering about the interest level and popularity of the current Lord of the Rings on the market made by ToyBiz. These are wonderfully detailed and present a side alternative to the many discouraged SW collectors. I am thinking of branching out. Has nyone else out there already started with these LOTR figures?"

Sandtrooper Lin-Que with Mutual of Omaha's AISLE KINGDOM:
'Lin Que once again from Omaha, NE. I gotta agree with Keith ... Hasbro SUX!!!! So far since my last post all I have been able to snag was a Spider Droid and a Boba Fett. I am thankful for the dumb luck I had in finding them (I should have played the lottery that day) but that's all I've seen. This past weekend I finally broke down and wrote two NASTY letters to Hasbro and Wal-Mart about the state of affairs for Star Wars collectors. Hasbro was pretty decent in their answer, while I got nothing from Wal-Mart.
"On a side note, after going to my local Wal-Mart for the 15th billion time I decided to take matters into my own hands. I found a site called uratoy.com and upon inspection decided that if I could not find anything I'll make my own. And so I did. What you do is send a figure of your choice Star Wars or otherwise and a pic of you and in a few days...a MOSC figure of you!!! Go to the website and check out the galleries and see whether you can spot mine!!! For 60-100 bucks I think it's worth the investment. I figured I've wasted that much in gas looking for stuff, at least this way I have something to show. I'm still looking for Bariss Offee, Aayla Secura, and Secret Ceremony Anakin, if anyone has a spare, please speak up!!!"

Sandtrooper Keith with Canada COAST TO COAST report:
"A quick update from Vancouver, B.C. Well, it appears official, Toys 'R' Us will no longer be getting anymore SW items. What they have (Jar Jar's and Zams) has been relegated to a little used or known section of the store and the once former grand Star Wars display now holds Power Rangers. Zellers no longer has anything SW in it's stores and Wal-Mart has been completely hopeless for as long as I can remember. I would like to thank Hasbro for keeping their Canadian neighbours in mind.
"Collecting used to be fun and exciting. I enjoyed, as many of you do, finding new items in the stores myself and coveting them as I bring them up to the cash register. I have not been able to do that in this city since the first initial wave of AOTC figures came out. Just like E1, the initial run of toys looked promising but soon fizzled to nothing.
"As much as I enjoy Sandtroopers and have benefited greatly form the people I have met through this site I do not feel it is fair that I am forced to rely on their generosity, time and help in order to complete my own collection. Hey Hasbro, I want to give you my hard earned money, do me the courtesy and stock the friggin shelves. Hoping the Force will come this way."

Sandtrooper NEXU'S ATTACK reports:
"Hi all, I just got back from Star Wars Weekends at MGM Studios here in Orlando, Florida and I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time to get some brand new merchandise.
"At the Tatooine Trader store inside the park, which is the official store for the Star Tours ride, they had just received brand new cases of the last (third wave) of Star Tours figures.
"Each case brings a total of 24 figures of the same character. I was given the chance to open some of these cases as they were being brought out from their stockroom. What a thrill !!
"The first case I opened was packed with R5-D2's (nice weathered effect) while a second case with the sku # 22776400 had all G2-T9's figures; these are exactly as G2-T4 droid previously released but, having blue highlights around the head and feet instead of red.
"The boxes were carton # 132 and 133 out of 150, as it is printed on their side. Given the fact each case has 24 figures x 150 cases, that is a total of 3,600 figures for each of the characters.
"The store still hasn't received the SK-Z38 (bird-looking droid), and according to their computers, there is no shipment tracking available for it; in other words, the figure hasn't been shipped. I was told by the gentleman managing the Tatooine Trader store to expect this droid to show up within the next two weeks.
"There were plenty of Starspeeder 3000 shuttles. These are just a bit bigger in scale than an Action Fleet vehicle yet smaller than a regular ship for the 3 3/4" scale.
"Despite its small size and practically "unknown" status, the vehicle is well constructed, packed with features such as lights and sounds and it even includes a small figure (removable) of Captain Rex. This tiny droid can be attached to a peg provided, inside the ship. The roof of the vehicle can be taken out, revealing three rows of orange seats. Here are the specifications:"
R2-D2 Sound Effects (pressing down on R2)
Captain Rex Voice
Shuttle Engine Sounds
Light Speed Sound Effects
Working Cabin Lights and Door
Removable Captain Rex
The vehicle requires 3 "AA" batteries which are included.
"The Starspeeder 3000 was present in such an abundance that boxes were piled up almost as high as the ceiling and it was being sold outside of the store right next to the Star Tours ride.
"As of today, "Once Upon a Toy" the Hasbro operated toy store located in Downtown Disney's west side had 0 (Zero) Wave 3, zero Starspeeders. Only within the MGM Studios these items are available at the time.
"Admission to the park is $50.00 a day, while Florida residents can get a $109.00 four parks/four day pass, which allows them to go in and out of the park as many times as they please.
"I was able to get some 2 extra Starspeeder 3000 and 2 extra droids. I'll be willing to trade them (accordingly) for the ONLY figures I need which are: 2x Yoda & Chian and 2x Ashla & Jempa. Keep in mind each Star Tours figure costs $10.00 and the Starspeeder goes for $20.00 plus tax. Give me a holler if you're interested in a trade. Thanks!"
Thanks much for the report of the latest at the House of Mouse!

Sandtroopette Donna reports:
"Hi Troops, Donna from So. Cal here. The Hoth Han and Chewie wave are now showing up at Target. No sign here yet of the new Deluxe figures at Target probably because they have so many Accessory Packs still on the pegs. Other than Wal-mart getting the Han and Chewie wave, TRU, K-mart, and KB still have nothing new. Happy Hunting!"

Force of the Bay - Giving Props
Hey Troopers, not only is ebay a great place to clean house and fill in holes in your collection, it is a great place to look for Replica or Movie Props. I discovered many interesting items for your viewing pleasure. First up is an amazing view of Bossk's head. It really doesn't have to be a Master Replica to be cool to look at. I also discovered an Overseas rarity and I can say the first time I have encountered this particular item. Here is a perfect example of why you must always read the listing Troops! I realize that this is a Rubies and is very inflated but the mask is bone crushin'. There are many items that are fan made. As I mentioned, Master Replicas are cool but some Fan creations give them guys a run for their money. It also probably won't run into the hundreds of dollars either. Good luck Troops, excercise caution when using ebay and research the sellers you decide to bid on. Kick A$% and take names, until next time!

This and much more from BigBadToyStore. You may also browse their Star Wars section, or view a complete listing of all the latest arrivals.

Sandtrooper Jedi Hitch reports:
"Hi Troops! Time to chime in from the Spokane, Washington area. I thought I'd make a toy run on my way to see 'The Matrix Reloaded' and it paid off. Wal-Mart had the new Han, Chewie, Mace, and Boba Fett figures. Han and Chewie were on beat up cards but Fett and Mace were in good shape. Target had the new deluxe figs (Spider Droid and Super Battledroid maker) and the older 2003 figures of Obi-Wan, Tyranus, and Tusken Raider.
"Toys 'R' Us STILL hasn't gotten in any new 4" figs but they did get the 12" Han, Lando, and AT-ST Driver. Also, Toys R Us put out some more Series 3 Lord of the Rings figures, which include Galadriel and the Prologue Elf. I know that's not Star Wars but I get several e-mails from Troops regarding LOTR figures. Good luck and happy hunting to all Troops!"
That's good news. We appreciate the LotR figure update at TRU as well. Has anyone out there in Trooperland seen the TRU exclusive Commemorative Series II and III Transformers Reissues (Starscream, God Ginrai - aka Powermaster Optimus Prime with Apex Armor, Jazz, Silverstreak et. al.)?
Update: Sandtrooper Brian in Monroe, Louisiana said - "Yeah, my TRU has the Jazz, Silverstreak, and Prowl. They got 2 cases of Starscreams last month but they are gone."

Sandtrooper Songwrtr reports:
"The Ithaca, NY area continues to be as barren as the rest of the country seems to be, so all I can say is thank goodness for internet shops keeping me up to date (more or less). I'd like to give a big shout-out to Trooper Alex who hooked me up with one of the POTJ Mexico-exclusive 4-packs at cost + shipping. He was great to deal with in the spirit of "United We Find." Thanks, Alex! Maybe someday something will show up here and I'll be able to return the favor."

Sandtrooper 'Trooper Larry' reports:
"Hey Troops! Trooper Larry with an area report. There has been some movement in my area of Ohio. No sign of the Aayla Secura wave or up, but I have been seeing small amounts of the new Padme, Dooku, Obi waves. I finally found a Tantive Rebel trooper last week in Strongsville. It looks as though they did have newer figs, cause the pegs were kind of bare. Not much movement in the Mentor area though. TRU has the 12" Padme and Geonosian soldier, but thats about it. K-B has 50% off its stock off SW's figs and vehicles. Thats about it. I want to thank Spice and The Sturge-Weber Foundation for a great contest, and troops that helped support the cause. The shuttle is awesome, but the awareness of these diseases is by far, more important. Especially when its one of our own. Happy hunting troops!"

But I have to take it back to the store next week if I don't find a home for it. The only thing new I've found here in north east Ohio was a Deluxe Spider droid and Deluxe Super Battle Droid maker. Both were on beat up cards at Target. Happy hunting troopers."

Sandtrooper 'Codename: DUSTY' reports:
"The new Han and Chewie were at the "old" Wal-Mart here in Bloomington, Illinois. Unfortunately, there were only one of each and he. They were in very good condition, so maybe there is hope that not everything headed our way is going to be crushed."

Sandtrooper Kelsith reports:
"Decatur, Illinois has updated with damaged merchandise. I found Hoth Han and Mynock Chewy and Saga Eeth Koth (cards look like someone squeezed the Charmin HARD). Two Saga TIE Bombers (windows kicked in) still 30 bucks. I actually decided to pass on these. You know it's bad when an opener doesn't buy the figures because the cards are so damaged."

CRAZY Star Wars art.
Troops, if you want to own/see some wild (and sometimes off color) Star Wars art, take a look at my buddy's art being offered on ebay. I can't post this art here - Tip O' the hat to Spiceowan.
The artist is Darrell O'Riley and I can honestly recommend his work! He also takes commissions, should you have a wacky idea you want brought to life artistically. Without further spoodging, see it HERE!
Darrell's email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org

Hey Troops, the newest copy of the Insider showed up today. Issue 68 has a great cover of Carrie Fisher, with the obligatory interview enclosed within. I am looking forward to reading that. One part I read quickly was her talking about the infamous bikini from Jedi. For those of you who are fans of Timothy Zahn, the first of a three part series appears in this issue. It takes place during the Clone Wars and the word spaarti tubes should pique your interest. There is a lot more interesting stuff including an Episode III update and a Hasbro Preview. If you're a Fan Club member, your issue should be arriving any day, if not, look for it in stores soon.

Easter Eggs - One Good Turn Deserves Another:
Now, this is strange. Anyone who dug E.T. showing up in the Episode I Senate scene will appreciate these bizarre happenings. First, it looks like there is More than meets the eye on my very own Pennsylvania Turnpike. A Transformers freak must work as their web developer, because Optimus Prime and Bumblebee can be seen cruising the Penna Turnpike at their site, doing laps around a 'Keystone' which itself is revolving just like the Autobot symbol in the Eighties' cartoon.
More 'Beyond Belief' madness can be found at Hasbro's own site! In their Transformers Armada toy checklist, Cheetos Spokesfeline Chester Cheetah himself is shown instead of the actual toy. Thanks to Benson Yee and his site http://www.bwtf.com for bringing this to our attention. YVAN EHT NIOJ!

The Silver Boba Fett that we mentioned here a month ago has finally been made official. It will be based on the POTJ 300th Boba Fett but will have a silvery finish and new packaging. Also, it will not be exclusive to the Mexicon convention in Mexico City this summer as previously reported. It will instead be a fan club exclusive and also be available at the following conventions this summer:
Jun 26 -- 29: Origins; Columbus OH
Jul 17 -- 20: Comic-Con International; San Diego, CA
Jul 24 -- 27: Gen Con; Indianapolis, IN
Aug 8 -- 10: Wizard World Chicago; Rosemont, IL
Cost of the figure will be $10 each plus tax and will be limited to 2 per person. After the convention season ends the figure will then be available through the official fan club.

These Guys Look Like Old-school Overhead Projectors on Crack:
Many other significant figures should have been made first. We can't believe they made these before Coleman Trebor, Bail Organa. Even the idea of these being released prior to Wat Tambor is simply ludicrous. Nonetheless, Sandwatch Figure Reviews features these Episode II cut-scene characters in tonight's review.
Not one, but two, YES TWO figures!. SP-4 and JN-66 were packaged together on a single blister card; another way Hasbro is giving you more bang for your buck these days. These cutting room floor guys were the last thing I really expected in the Saga line-up, considering you have so many others to chose from to make yet. I think the fat drunk Episode IV Jabba would have made a better candidate to release to the public. But, as far as accurate plastic character depiction salvos go from Hasbro, they 'drop da bomb.' Hit the books in the latest installment of Sandwatch.

Sandtrooper Scott K. reports:
"Wouldn't you know it! The minute I contribute a complaint about no new figures (yesterday), some show up at Target (Flint, Michigan). They had R2-D2 (Flight), Han Hoth, Chewbacca (Mynock Hunt), Boba Fett (Carkoon), Anakin (Secret Ceremony), Obi Wan (Acklay Battle), and that wacky Mace! Granted though, there were only 1-2 of each there. I still havn't seen the likes of Barriss Offee or Aayla Secura. You guys need to check your local Targets!. Thanks."

"Had a nice score yesterday at TRU Annapolis (Maryland) and Babbage's at the Mall. Picked up McFarlane Movie Maniacs 6 with its all Alien / Predator lineup. These toys are pretty cool. My neighbor Dave was able to pick up Boba Fett, Hoth Han, and Mynock Hunt Chewie at Target in Columbia (Maryland). It does seem the general trend has been for these new toys to show up at Target first? I haven't seen them anywhere else as of yet."

Sandtrooper Jedi Dom reports:
"I read that Hasbro has decided to donate 25,000 toys to children in Iraq. Now, there is absolutely no doubt that it is for a good cause, although others may disagree. The point I am trying to make isnot to be be surprised to see Lama Su, Yoda & Chian or Aayla on ebay from Iraq!
"And there you have it. There my fellow collectors is the reason for your shortage in figures. See what kinds of things you think about when you are driving an hour or so between stores and coming up empty? By the way, I am just making a joke. I hope you all can forgive my facetious implications, for even I would give before receive, as I have done so many times on this site. But, if they do donate Star Wars, take them from the current overstock in my area of the country. I am sure there is enough old stuff to give every child at least 2 figures each!"

Sandtrooper Scott J. reports:
"Hello Troopers! I have been hearing several of you talk about how scarce and slow the figures are appearing in stores. Well, it is the same around here too (Flint/SE Michigan). I too have asked clerks in the stores like Wal-Mart and Toys 'R' Us, and they just don't get the newer figures in. It is the same old stuff hanging there for months. It does seem that Target is the only spot where new figures have appeared lately, but these too have been few and far between! I don't know what is going on with distrubution in the retail pipeline!"

Sandtrooper Southern Cali Rod reports:
"Troopers, I thought I had hit the mother load. My local Wal-Mart in Hemet, California had an unopened case of Star Wars figures sitting on a pallet near the toy department. I abruptly and secretly took the case to a secret location to open its contents. I envisioned a case full of just released figures (e.g. Fett Pit of Carkoon, Chewie Mynock Hunt, Han Hoth). To my dismay the case was full of last year's stock. It included clean shaven Rebel Trooper, Massiff and Overstock Massiff and Sandperson plus a few other figures I got sick of seeing last November. What gives?"

"Hi guys, The Chad here with an interesting find at K-B. I found the bloody stump Luke Bespin in one of the 4 packs. Here is the interesting part. Some of the 4 packs include the first Yoda, Dooku, the "strawberry flavored" clone trooper and the Anakin with the removable arm. So, if you need the bloody Luke keep checking your KB's. And K-B lowered the price to $7.99. Take care all."
... And there you have it! Thanks for the report Chad!

Sandtrooper THE CHAD reports:
"It seems that Target is our only hope and the only place here in north Alabama getting the New figures like Boba Fett (Carkoon), Han Hoth, and Mynock Chewbacca. Toys 'R' Us has drastically cut their Star Wars section down and Wal-Mart still has the old figures from last year. My Wal-Mart will not move these. A TRU employee told me that they won't get any new figures until the next movie. It sounds like Star Wars figures will get the axe. Well, Hasbro can you explain yourself? Take care."

Sandtrooper Jedi Dom reports:
"Jedi Dom here, well the Temecula/Murrieta/Hemet areas of So. Cal have come through again ... to disappoint every collector within a 30 mile radius! Nothing new anywhere, and where they are putting out figures, the figures are all from last year. Times like these, you get the feeling that maybe it is time to hang it up on the whole collecting scale. You get tired of trying to go before work to beat scalpers, after work to hope that maybe there will be something left if you missed it in the mornings, and spending all your money on gas getting to one place after another, especially when it is $1.90 a gallon!
"I am extending an invitation to anyone out there who would be willing to help out a fellow trooper. I have helped many people on this site and hope that someone can do the same for me. I am looking for any of the new figures which include the following: #8 Boba Fett, # 10 Lama Su, #11 Aayla Secura, #13 Han Solo, #12 Barriss Offee, #14 Chewy, #15 Yoda & Chian, or #16 Ashla & Jempa. My buddy So Cali Rod who also lives a mile or so from me is looking for the Imperial Officer re-sculpt, Han & Chewy as well. Remeber, we are here for each other's needs, and I hope someone out there can help. Good luck everyone."

Sandtroopette Donna reports:
"Hi Troops, Donna from So Cal here. Went by Wal-mart Sunday afternoon and found Hoth Han, Mynock Chewie, Obi Battle, Mace Arena, Flying R2D2, Anakin Ceremony and Boba Fett Pit. I was able to pick up an extra Boba Fett (C8.5) to trade. I also have an extra Ephant Mon (C-7/8) and Mint Saga Teebo. I am looking for Yoda and Chian, Ashla and Jempa, Unleashed Unmasked Vader, Unleashed Leia, or Action Fleet AT-AT. E-mail me if interested. Happy Hunting."

Troops, I've posted BigBadToyStore's latest newsletter which includes some dope new Dreamwave comics for Transformers Generation 1, the Dreamwave 'More Than Meets the Eye' Transformers Guide to characters in a 64-page comic art format, and Mark Kimmel's 'Transmanual' complete visual Guide to every Transformer produced during the years 1984 - 86. The 'Transmanual' is very much like the Star Wars Action Figure Archive that many of you out there in Trooperland already own. Star Wars and Transformer freaks like me will want both of these books displayed on the coffee table as a conversation piece.
BigBadToyStore also still has Saga Rebel Fleet Troopers and Queen's Royal Starship - Price Reduced.

Sandtrooper THE CHAD reports:
"This is strange. I found the Speeder Bikes with Anakin and Dooku at Toys 'R' Us. I have only seen these one time here in Huntsville, Alabama. I did pick them up but they haven't gotten any of them sense then. Also, my TRU sent back a lot of figures, unfortunately they completely shrank the Star Wars section. What gives with the fear and Star Wars at TRU? Here we go again. Take care."

Sandtrooper So. Cali Rod reports:
"Troopers, I need your help. I am in dire need of a resculpt Iimperial Officer. I have looked and looked and now I give up. Without your help I will be forced to partake in aiding and supporting the scalper trade. Please help me Troopers, you're my only hope."

They Should Give These to Us for Free:
For months Hasbro boasted this 'Total Control' gimmick to try to draw attention from the fact that they were hitting us with yet another Mace. Sandwatch Figure Reviews hits this one with a brick bat in the latest installment.
Mace is back with his umphteenth figure in the Saga line, and to make matters worse there is a wand sticking out of his back with a big plastic button at the end of it. What's going on here? Grab a bat and play some 'Maceball' in tonight's Sandwatch.

Sandtrooper Dom reports:
"I agree with Sandtrooper HotJeep360 concerning the price of the new Star Wars Pez dispensers. At $24.99 these babies better shoot little gold nuggets out of their necks before I buy them."

Sandtrooper Jedi Vacation reports:
"I found Chewbacca - Mynock Hunt, Han Solo - Hoth Rescue, and R2-D2 - Droid Factory Flight at the WAL-MART on Palm Ave in southern San Diego, CA @ $4.77 each. That was all that I found. One Chewie and Han left. Somebody was there before I was. Get out to Wal-Mart today and see what they are putting up on pegs. Needless to say, I was surprised this morning after almost two months of NO NEW SAGA figures. Good Luck Hunting and MTFBWY, All."

Free Comic Book Day
Hey Troops, today, May 3, is Free Comic Book Day. Stop by your local comic shop and pick up some free books. There are no Star Wars comics this year, but how can you go wrong with free? Here is a run-down of what you can walk out with for free.

Sandtrooper Hotjeep360 reports:
"What do people think of the price of the new Star Wars Pez ($24.99)? Is Pez just putting the screws to the collectors or what? Pez groups are boycotting buying it at that price. How about it then? Should people then boycott Pez's new Star Wars too? As for anything new in lower MI will let's just say ARID. And I have given up hope."

Sandtrooper Jedi Dom reports:
"Hey Troops, I finally found a couple of things worth writing about. Two Targets in the east central Wisconsin area had all four accessory packs on the pegs. I missed these the first time around, so I was glad to see they were back. Also, the big book, INSIDE THE WORLDS OF STAR WARS: ATTACK OF THE CLONES is out. This book is a beauty and it's done in the style of the visual dictionaries. Wish I had more to report. Take care and MTFBWY."

NOT STAR WARS BUT:
Troops, sorry this is not Star Wars news, but if you are Fans of the X-Men I would RUN out and see the new movie. I just got back from a sold out show. This one is Bryan Singer's EMPIRE STRIKES BACK! Meaning X-Men 2 is better than X-Men one! If any of you are fans of the Claremont, Byrne & Terry Austin X-Men era, then be ready for one of the BEST storylines ever!!! That is all I'm gonna say.... WOW, This movie ROCKED!!!!! Another sequel after this one? YOU BET!

Sandtrooper Jedi-Hitch reports:
"Hi Troops! Finally!!! New figures at Target! I went to the Target in Spokane, WA today and picked up several new figures including Boba Fett, R2-D2, Anakin, Aayla and Barriss Offee. I grabbed the last Fett but they still had all of the above figures as well as Obi-Wan, Lama Su, Library Droid, and Tyranus. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for Targets around the country. Still no sign of the new Han or Chewie, or the Yoda Wave yet. Toys 'R' Us pulled a bunch of old figures a couple of weeks ago but still nothing new. If it wasn't for the new Lord of the Rings figures they keep getting I'd stop going there. That's it for now."

New NJO novel
Hey Troops, the latest NJO novel, Force Heretic: Refugee was released on Tuesday. The novel is written by coauthors, Sean Williams and Shane Dix. If the second book is half as good as the first, we should be in for another great story. Refugee should be on the best sellers list by next week which means Barnes & Noble will be selling it for 30% off. I'll be picking it up then.

New comic this week
Hey Troops, I did a toy run and stopped by the comic store today. The toy run turned up the same thing it has for the last several months, nothing. However, after a several week hiatus, Dark Horse released a new comic this week, the latest issue of Star Wars: Republic # 53. The cover art is intriguing, depicting Obi-Wan versus Ventress, the Dark Jedi introduced in the last several issues. This story continues the storyline from the last couple of issues and should be an interesting tale. Once I read it, I will have to let you know.

Sandtrooper Sithknight reports:
"TRU at White Plains Road, Bronx has zippo, however, they did have Legos on clearance if anyone is looking. For only $5.90 were the Republic Gunship, TIE Interceptor, and X-Wing fighter. Boxes were a little ratty but they were complete."
