ACPin from ACPin Star Wars writes:
The giant, lumbering Reek has been controlled by Anakin and was used to free up Padme and ObiWan from the grasp of the other beasts inside the arena. Droidekas surround the escape route of the trio and it looks like they will have to contend with Count Dooku's wishes for the meantime.

Daily News from Around the Web... by J.
5% of you out there may recognize this fellow...its Blue Snaggletooth! - probably 95% of sandtroopers readers however! Here's a short article at UGO.com about the "Star Wars Figues You Never Knew Existed (sic)," I say 'sic,' again, because everybody here knows about these guys!
More Saga Accessory Pack Pictures - Jay and the crew at ADC.com have added front & back carded images of the four Target-exclusive sets.
Another Luke Bespin variant - SirSteve's has a photo of one of these figures on which the magnet post has been painted over flesh color, much in the same style as the earlier painted and non-painted Zam Wessel arm magnets.
What would the Jedi do without villains? - A look at the villains of Attack of the Clones over at Newsweek. And, most interestingly (or maybe not; this might have been written by someone without any real insight); Who is Dooku? "Yes, Jango Fett (the bounty hunter) calls him Lord Tyranus. The Kaminos call him Jedi Sido-Dyas (ed. note: it's really 'Sifo-Deyas' and we don't really know if the Kaminoans were refering to Dooku :) ) . But both of these are just aliases."
C o n t e s t s - see yesterdays news and this is the last chance for many of the current opportunities since it is the last day of the month!

The Power of Jango!
On one of my routine toy hunts today I found a Ultimate Jango Fett 12 inch. Sgt. Jason and I have yet to do any 12 inch figs in our latest installments and after getting this one I think you'll all agree... This one rocks and is the best of any so far in the AOTC line. I also have been seeing the Col. 1 and 2 wave 4 in the stores lately so don't bother with E-Bay, Troops they will come. Remember the word of Master Yoda "Patience" If you are looking for Ultimate Jango look in the K-Marts that's where I've been hearing everyone is finding them and that's where I found mine.Happy Hunting and Good Luck!

New Figure REVIEWS Here at SANDTROOPERS.com

That's right folks, to give the usual reviews a grittier and livelier feel, I've teamed up with my right-hand man Private Spiceowan and cooked up some "Ebert & Roeper-esque" reviews. Today we are featuring the New Collection 1, Wave 4 figures : Bespin Vader & Luke, Mace Windu - Geonosian Rescue and Jango Fett - Final Battle. Some good insights, inane banter, immature arguments and nice new photos from General Vaughn make it a "must-see." So take your own opinions with you and maybe leave with some new ones or feel even more adamant about your initial reactions! Check them out here! And stick with us, because Collection 2, Wave 4 (Massiff, Endor Rebel, Orn Free Taa and Qui-Gon) and Deluxe Wave 2 (Nexu and Anakin) are next on the plate for this weekend and early next week respectively. - J.

Trooper Ham Yoyo Reports:
Hey all, Britt here....looking at The Target Exclusive Accessory packs just now...Check out all the re-used and reissued stuff in these...the Hoth has K-3P0's binocular thingy, they are just using the same carded Scout trooper for the next one, thats the Interegation Droid from the Commtech Vader in the Death Star(but I will take the 2 Stormtrooper Blasters for my Commtech Stormies), and the Arena Conflict, geez, don't get me started...tons of Jango's stuff and leftover lightsabers and Han Bespin Escape POTJ handcuffs. OK, they look alright, the Death Star seems the only one I would want, but don't use so much leftover stuff....If they are going to go through the effort of putting this stuff on pegs, Make some new stuff. Just don't fill it up with a couple new cheesy items we don't have, then throw in some big pile of leftover stuff. Really, look at the dorky little Tank in that Hoth set and tell me "I Just Gotta Have That!!!!...ooooohhh I know I do...sorry Big H, sorry for the ranting and raving...after seeing how great all the new Saga Figs are, I'm really disappointed.

And yet another variation rears it's ugly head! News from The Bothan Spy
My good friend Ishi Tib over at The Bothan Spy pointed out another variation in the Saga line. It seems like there are as many variations as there are carded figures with this line. Hasbro sure has found their cash cow. Anyway, this particular variation has to do with Jango Fett Final Duel. It seems his flamethrower effect has been found packaged either pointing up or down. Check out The Bothan Spy for detailed pics of the two variants.

AOTC by R.A. Salvatore
I just wanted to drop a quick post to let all the Troops know that I started the novel yesterday. I am in chapter 3 right now, and so far, everything I have read is new information. The first three chapters is all stuff that wasn't in the movie. How cool is that? There is some good character and story development going on already. I can't wait to see what else is going to be included. It looks like Mr. Salvatore is going to have another winner on his hands. Look for my review sometime soon.

The Lingster reports:
Anyone else think thiese packs seen on Rebelscum.com are pointless? I mean who wants the OLD POTF2 guns for the stormtrooper? Let's get the NEW ONES!!! Why have the helmet for a stormtrooper in the deathstar pack? WHO WEARS IT? Do we need ANOTHER gigantic "mouse" droid? That's a mighty big mouse... The stormtrooper belt is definitly the best thing about this package, and the trooper has different legs that the original version. Why have a Endor Scout trooper in the Endor victory pack? He should be dead. Who's gonna wear the extra helmets? they won't look right on anyone without that particular outfit on. (unless you have 2 ATST drivers and 2 extra heads to swap out for those helmets. Who wants a Hoth trooper without removeable hemet nowadays? Do we really need another extra Jango Fett Helmet and guns? Gads. SOSDP. (Same Old S*** Different Packaging)
The LingSter
While I would usually a pass something like this to the forums (why dont you start a thread...), John cracked me up. The basic idea of the accessory pack is cool...something to spice up your dioramas for those who dont have a vaccuform or a huge loose collection. I think the execution here is somewhat poor. While the new stormtrooper gun is a better sculpt and more proportional, the old ones arent "flexible". Helmets are great "props" for a deathstar locker room.. As for the endor set, notice the scout is the "shot" version. The helmets are supposed to be the ewok drum set...right? No comment on the hoth trooper or the arena set..., but I have to agree with your final comment

Nice Pics at RS
Hey Troops,
Rebelscum has posted new images of the upcoming TARGET EXCLUSIVE (err) figures with accessory packs. Pictured are Hoth Accessory Pack with Hoth Rebel Soldier, Endor Accessory Pack with Biker Scout, Death Star Accessory Pack with Death Star Trooper (yea), and Arena Battle Accessory Pack with Red Battle Droid. All look very nice, however very "recycled". Wish we could have gotten a new sculpt on the DS trooper (where are you "running" to??). I only have minor complaints...all in all I will be very happy to pick these up when they come out! Head on over to RS and enjoy the pics.

I am desperately needing a POTF2 Target Y-Wing in the box (box can have some shelf wear). I had to sell mine for family reasons. This is for my collection folks I may be "new" around the forums but I've been collecting Star Wars since '80. I know there is a collector out there that can help me. I don't have a lot to trade for it but if someone is willing to sell me this AT COST (not discounted price, the original price it was released as) I would be most grateful. Thank you for your time everyone.

If I don't get any responses I will return them over the upcoming weekend. I'm refocusing my collection to just action figures. It just costs to much money to buy all of the cool ships and such with 2 kids at home. I'm trying to find the time to go through everything, and will have it posted soon on the trade page. I know I missed getting some POTF2 as well as Episode 1 figures. So I think I'll somewhat focus on these. Feel free to e-mail me at Jimsjedi@aol.com

Latest Review at Sith Channel 10
Hey Troops, I have just posted a review of the Attack of the Clones comic series by Dark Horse. This was a great movie adaptation and I highly recommend picking up the four comics or a graphic novel. Plenty of scenes deleted or never filmed for the movie make an appearance. Click here for the review, and beware to those who haven't seen Ep 2 yet... SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to give a big thanks to the Sandtroopers and especially fellow sandtroopers Fisk31, HamYoYo1 and D.S.. I posted a couple of weeks ago looking for an POTJ Eeth Koth and within a couple of days these guys came through and hooked me up and more. Pretty amazing, after spending 3 months looking and ALMOST turning to ebay, these guys were able to get me the figs I was looking for and at cost. Once again, thanks Sandtroopers and if any one has the opportunity to trade or work out a deal with these guys then do it. It's definitly worth it, they're on the level. Thanks..

Either for fellow troops to bid on or simply to admire and wish you had the dollars to buy them. Keep in mind that all the items are not guaranteed by Sandtroopers or E-Bay itself , so let the bidder/buyer BEWARE!!!Here are some of my latest finds:
This item is from Japan and I personally have never seen it.
Lifesize Watto How cool is that?
Takara R2-D2 The hard to get takara R2 I don't understand collectors facination of this but here is one if you're looking.
Boba Freaks Whether you had one or not as a kid here's a little Boba nostalgia.
A new hope Truly a goldmine for rare figure collectors, pack your wallet on this trip.
Imperial DignataryHere's a not so rare figure that we all want them to make again.
That's all for now Troopers hope you enjoy looking more than I did searching. There were a lot of Yoda's and Dooku's to weed through!I didn't realize they were so rare with about a zillion listings each.Good luck and Happy hunting.

Trooper Jim Reports:
Greetings Troopers. Just returned from a run of all the stores in Valdosta, Georgia. Wal-Mart had a case on the top shelf and a Dexter with insert was found. Look to the skies if you are in Wal-Mart. The Luke Bespins from the Fan Club were all "bloodless" (sounds kinda gruesome); they arrived in very good, but not mint condition due to edge dings and back creases. A really awesome figure in detail and accessories! Plenty of the TRU "exclusive" 12" Mace Windu.
I saw on "wePay" that someone paid $32 for a Shaak Ti with "rare" insert. Spread the word that there are PLENTY of these both w/ and wo/ the background at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, etc.
One possible interesting find: a Padme Amidala Arena Battle that clearly has her with a red scar mark on her left cheek. I will check with Sir Steve about this, but it was the only one out of 9 or 10 others. No pics of it yet, but I will work on it. Has anyone else encountered one? Either a neat variant or a slip of the hurried painter's hand. Pretty cool either way.
Well, gotta go try to make a living in the universe. Later.

Welcome BJ's Action Figures!

BJ's Action Figures
We are proud to announce BJ's Action Figures as our newest sponsor! Bart Looper is a fellow collector who started the store with the desire not only to help his fellow collectors in getting the toys that they want, but also to deliver those toys in true mint condition. He does this by being the only store that ships each of his carded figures in a star case for FREE!
BJ's Action Figures sells every line of Star wars toys starting from carded and loose vintage figures to the newest Saga figures. The prices of the figures are very competitive as well. Most Episode 2 figures are $6.99, and POTJ figures start at $4.99. (star cases included with each of course)
So check them out and see what they have to offer. I have personally done business with them in the past and would definitely recommend them as one of the best stores on the net!

Just to let everyone out there know: a local KAY-BEE here in LONG ISLAND, N.Y. had about 5 each of the RED & YELLOW guys. Spend $15 or more their and you get a free S.W. TRADING CARD and a COUPON for $3 OFF your next purchase.
Does anyone know where i can find a current listing of which of the new S.W. figures TRULY are SCARE / HARD TO FIND?! I read and hear so many different stories about certain figures and certain variations being found, that i'm not sure what to belive!! I would like to buy a few of them, but i don't want to pay a ridiculous price. I'm not sure which of the figures & variations out there i should expect to pay more for, and which ones are considered common. Could someone post like a "TOP TEN LIST" of figures that TRULY ARE SCARCE, and which are REALLY COMMON? Or knows where such a listing exists? THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANY INFO!! THIS WEB-SITE & ALL THE FANS OUT THERE ARE THE BEST!!

Hey, folks. Young George Lucas reporting from the Kansas City area. First up, I saw "Attack of the Clones" (in digital!) again today, and even though I loved it the first time I saw it, the fourth time I enjoyed it maybe even more. It is such a rich movie that I don't know how long or how many viewings it will be to take everything in. Also, it looks like late November for a DVD release (yippee!), and that will hopefully contain a lot of the incredible stuff that was cut out of the movie. Also, today at the local Wal-Mart I found Qui-Gon Jinn, Rebel Trooper, Djas Puhr, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine- and at Target I found the new version of Luke Skywalker (Bespin Duel). See ya!

Trooper Jeffred5 Reports:
Hey troopers,I read the post from Trooper California Tim about different color clone Troopers and Trooper Zack responded to his question (I think) but, he ended up confusing me. He said "we have plain, red, yellow, blue, green, and a pilot with a different helmet as the variations of clone troopers so far." Are all the colors available as action figures. Or, are they just the different color clones that were in the movie?
Also, I need some help from all the Troopers. I realize these might not be easy to find, but I'm looking for a "Bloody Stump" Bespin Luke, an EP I Action Fleet Sith Infiltrator, and an electronic Super Star Destroyer. I will consider an open box for both ships as long as they are complete and in new condition. I am will to trade or pay for them. Some of the figures I have for trade are: Bespin Luke without the Bloody Stump, Count Dooku, Yoda, Jango Fett (Final Battle) Mace Windu and several others. If you don't have the things I'm looking for, I would really appreciate it if you would please keep an eye out for them.
JEFFRED5@AOL.COM
Sorry for the confusion Jeff. All the different color clones are the ones spotted in the movie so far, they arent all available as toys yet. We are getting closer to having them all made into toys though; a yellow clone trooper is in the works right now.

Trooper California Tim Reports:
Did another tour of the Bay, starting in Pinole and worked my way down, stopping in all stores that I could. There is not that much that is new out there. Found a couple of Endor Rebels at KB in NewPark Mall but that's it. No KB exclusive Troopers either. There were a few CDookus sticking to the pegs down in San Jose TRU on Blossom, so hurry troops if you need one. That's about it for here. On a side note I received the new insider and noticed the cover picture for the R.A. Salvatore story has a blue trooper in the bottom right hand corner. Was this already discussed and I'm late (as always) or did anyone else catch this? MTFBWY
awingace@msn.com
I havent heard too much about the blue trooper actually. So we have plain, red, yellow, blue, green, and a pilot with a different helmet as the variations of clonetroopers so far. (people argue over the green variation though)

Trooper Monkey Ambassador Reports:
It's the Monkey Ambassador again. I would like to ask some peoples opinions. My "friend" calls himself a collector. He owns a few carded figures. He cares nothing for condition. He dosen't like looking at other people's collections or looking at what he can't buy. In my opinion he is an insult to collectors. I enjoy looking at other peoples collections and looking at stuff I don't have money for. 75% of the fun of collecting is the thrill of the hunt and not being able to complete your collection. Sure, a complete collection would be nice, but not as nice as an incomplete collection. Can somebody e-mail me their opinion on the subject. I think this "friend" is been a pain in the @$$ and is insulting us.
Has anybody seen a Qui-Gon that has Attack of the Clones written on it? Another friend told me he saw one at Wal-Mart, but that's all I've heard of it.

Death Star Emperor's Throne Room
This comes from our good buddy and Dio-Master ACPIN:
''The second Death Star had the throne room built as a sanctuary for Emperor
Palpatine. Only his trusted Royal Guards and a handful of Imperial officers including Darth Vader were ever allowed inside. Upon Luke Skywalker's capture on Endor, he is escorted by Darth Vader into the throne room to meet the Emperor.'' ACPIN Dioramas

Trooper Ham Yoyo Reports:
Ham Yoyo here (Britt)....just to let anyone know, I snagged about 15 of the posters from TRU with the first 40 figs pictured on them. If anyone needs them, email me....I'm not sure what cost would be for shipping, but with a poster tube and all it would have to be anywhere between 4.00 to 6.00 bucks prob.
Also, at my local TRU, I found Qui-Gon Jinn, Endor Soldier, Chancellor Palpatine, Djas Puhr, and the word is the Han, and Chewie are coming soon....the Djas looks nice considering its an all black figure..they added enough detail to make the figure look great....I could only get one of each, the rest were damaged(those DAMN bins they throw all the figs in)....its like looking through a trash can trying to find figures....sucks...I'm gonna complain to TRU about this, like it will help...but you never know....do you other troopers have your figs in bins or are they on pegs at TRU...just curious.....
LMK about the posters....I'll ask the postal worker Saturday what
shipping would be so I can be more specific.....I'm gonna go there today and grab all the posters that are left!!!...i should have around 25-30 by then I'm guessing, so feel free to email me if you want one...it is a cool poster...shows Han, Chewie and Djas..as well as the rest......all for now...thanks Duke Nukem'(Vaughn) for the info on Mace...I was wondering about that ....keep up the great work everyone...see you in chat tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trooper Jeff Reports:
Hi Troops I realize everyone is probably broke from all the new figures coming out but I have a vintage carded Power of the Force Wicket for sale if anyone is interested. The card is unpunched and has some light scuffing that can only be seen in direct light and some light edge wear. There is only one minor surface crease on the left side (about 1/2") and the bubble only has a very light tinting around the edges and some light scuffing on the front. Overall, C9 in my opinion. I am asking $90 which includes shipping and a Star Case. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks!

Troopette Donna Reports:
Hi, Donna from So. Cal. reporting. Went to TRU Thurs night and found Qui-Gon Jinn, Endor Soldier, Chancellor Palpatine, Djas Puhr, Hangar Duel Anakin, and Count Dooku. No sign of Yoda. Also went by GameStop and found the Bespin wave including Luke (no blood) but they are a little pricey there. The figures are $8.99 and they don't price match.
Speaking of the Bloody Luke, I have a question for fellow troopers. Every discription and picture of the Bloody Luke says there is blood on the stump around the magnet peg and on the wrist of the hand. I have one where there is no blood on the stump but there is blood on the wrist. Is this a true variation or an error? Happy Hunting to all.

Trooper HamYoyo Reports:
Hey all...your old Hammy here....
I was just looking at the Mace Windu Geonosian figure and noticed something odd....looking at the figure...look at the hand NOT holding the lightsaber. If you look you will see a hole in his sleeve just like the other Jedi figures with the "force blast" effect....I wonder if Hasbro intended on including a "force blast" but changed it at the last moment...its very easy to see on the right arm of the carded fig(even though the back of the card shows him holding his saber in the right hand, not the left as it is carded)...just curious if anyone has noticed this or a figure without the hole in the sleeve...check it out troops.....Also, my local TRU is expecting a wave 4 and 5 shipment soon, so I was told by my inside source...a manager I flirted with...hey..try anything!!!!...anyway..keep those eyes peeled for Palpatine, Chewie, and the rest...should be soon...all for now....
and Darth Crypt (Pat)...the site RULES...why would you question if you are doing a good job...geez...if not for sandtroopers, my collecting interest would be crap....checking the posts each day and helping troopers get figs they need is great....keep up the killer work guys!!!!!!!!
MTFBWY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......most of the time anyway...hehehehehe
Britt
Thanks for the kind words Britt! We just want to see how well the troops needs are being met. We are trying to make the best website for YOU the troops and that means we need to get some feedback from time to time to evaluate how things are going! (Hopefully we are doing OK....)
From Vaughn: The hole in the cuff on Mace is for his LIGHTSABER... The hilt of the saber fits up into the hole so he doesnt throw his saber when his "slashing lightsaber attack" is used.... This feature allows you to recreate one of the more memorable scenes in the movie :)

Trooper EriK Reports:
People, a question. My son ( who is ten mind you) brought this up while we were out looking around a couple of days ago. He asked "How can Luke have a bloody stump? Wouldn't the lightsaber cauterize the area as it cut him?".........Let me tell you, I almost fell off my crutches when he asked that. Out of the mouthes of babes I guess
A friend of mine needs a favor. Shes looking for 2 things that may be a shot in the dark. Shes looking for the DVD that came with the first issue of Total Movie. The one that had TROOPS on it. And shes also looking for the Electronic C3PO from Episode 1. It could be loose, it doesn't matter. I had one but traded it to someone last year to help them out. Let me know if these two things are attainable. I may have to trade something from my own collection to help her. If money IS an option thats cool too.
Also when i was in the Holyoke Target yesterday there were quite a few Luminara and Dexter w/backgrounds. Again, certain places get certain figures in quantity. They also had a BUTTLOAD of Niktos. But Wal-Marty Moose has none. Is it me? It's them right?
Hey this isn't Star Wars related, but i picked up the new Directors cut of Legend yesterday. All i can say is WICKED. Its quite different than the original. Different score and more of a character background. Kind of in the same vein as the bootleg version of Almost Famous. I recommend at least watching it. Actually both movies for that matter.
I really want off these crutches. I am really, really BORED!

HamYoyo here....if you cant locate the free shipping supplies at
USPS.com...here is the way..
first click on "shipping" on the left hand menu, a pop up menu wiill appear, go to "supplies", then "order supplies" on the left menu, next, you have to click on "I agree" for the disclaimer and your sent to the ordering page, then pick your choice of mailing(priority )....hope this helps!!!!
Also, after 3 wal-Marts today, I must say they suck.nothing new. The only good note was a great girl collector at my TRU who let me use the 1.00 of TRU online coupon for EVERY figure I bought....she rang each up seperate and I got a buck off each...I'm not sure if all will do this, but she called her manager and they said it was cool to do it that way. I grabbed some Bespin Vaders, Final Jango's, Mace, A few variant Zams and Clonetroopers, and a couple of others I was missing...also, she said they just got a shipment in today which will be on the floor tomorrow...so check out TRU on Thursday, they might have new stuff...she was gonna keep an eye out for any Palpatines, Chewies, Hans, and Endor Troopers and hold one of each for me...great
girl...stores need more people like this...she was going to check out the cases and actually call me to tell me what they received....way too cool...also, I have a clonetrooper with no dots on the picture if anyone needs him...LMK....I picked up a bunch of the posters with the figures pictured on them also...if you want one , LMK...I can't bet on the condition unless you want to pay alot for shipping, but it shows the newer figs which look killer...I plan on loading up on figs before the 25th when the TRU coupon expires, so if I get anything good...I'll put them on Ebay.....just kidding...I'll let ya' know!!...OK, enough rambling...

"I went to TRU on Sunday and the employees knew nothing about the
posters. They looked at me like I was from outer space. I tried to email TRU.com and that was an even bigger mistake. I kept going from one page to the next and it kept taking me back to the same place. What a mess. I did find a Jango Fett and an R2-D2 Pez dispenser at their store. Trooper Jeffred5 Reports:
I have a question I'm hopping a trooper out there can answer for me. I read in a list somewhere that there was an Action Fleet Sith Infiltrator offered in the EP I collection. Does anyone know if they are referring to the tiny little two inch one that came with Darth Maul in the Kay-Bee exclusive, or something like that? Or, is there a larger, like around 4 to 6 inch Sith Infiltrator or about the size of the Republic Cruiser they offered? Also, does anyone out there have an Anakin Skywalker Masterpiece Edition 12" figure w/ Book, that they would trade for an Aurra Sing Masterpiece Edition 12" figure w/Book? If so please let me know. Thanks and MTFBWY,

Trooper Lord Z Reports:
I went on a mid-morning hunt for new AOTC figures today and was able to check out most of the stores in Gurnee, Illinois. I started at 9:30am at Toys R Us. They just opened the doors, and much to my delight, the Star Wars Counter was fully stocked with some new stuff. I snagged a "No-Blood" Luke Bespin, as well as a Final Battle Jango, and a Bespin Vader. Not 10 seconds later, a few suspicious customers started grabbing all of the rest of them. So, I proceeded to the cashier, along with a "$1 off any $5.99 Star Wars Figure" Coupon, printed off Toysrus.com, to purchase my figures. They were giving out a free AOTC Comic with every SW purchase. I then headed over for Target, where I found the remains of some new waves. Saw a few Mace Windu's, but no sign of anything else. I happened to head to the back of the toy dept, and as I turned the corner I noticed a massive pile of Bespin Vader figures "hidden" behind some toys on a back end-cap. Since I already scored one at TRU, I picked up all of them and took them back to their proper "home" on the pegs for others to find. Unfortunately, as I was leaving Target, some of the same people I saw at TRU passed me on their way into Target. Hopefully they were grabbing them for friends, but I have a feeling they were dealers. From there it was on to Wal-Mart. The pegs were quite full, with loads of so-called "hard-to-find" figures from the first batch, mainly Royal Guards, Taun We, Luminara, etc. Like Target, however, there were some Windu's, but all of the others were long-gone. Other than that, I have seen no sign of the Qui-Gon wave or anything else new of late...

SW Rubik's Cubes anyone?
Hey Troopers,
I still have a few Clonetrooper helmets for anyone who still wants one but I also have another offer. Inside specially marked boxes of Kellogg's cereals in Ontario you can find one of 6 SW Rubik's cube heads! They are 2" in size, divided into 8 blocks and have 2 faces on each shaped like the character's faces. The characters include; Old Ben/Obi-wan, Anakin/Vader, Dooku/Sidious, Jango/Clonetrooper, Leia/Padme, and R2/3PO. I beleive these are only available in Ontario and Quebec as were the Clonetrooper helmets but I may be wrong. What I'm willing to do though is purchase the boxes of cereal and sell the cubes to any trooper who wants them for the cost of the cereal and shipping. A box of cereal is $4 CAN so $3 US would cover the cost of each cube. As for the cereal, I will donate it to my local food bank as you don't have to open the bag of cereal to get the cube. It comes seperately wrapped in the box. If anyone is interested, LMK tyler@sandtroopers.com

Be Careful Out There
Warning to all MD collector's. I was in the Bowie Target yesterday afternoon searching for some new ATOTC figures. They had a bunch of the Bespin Luke (with blood) And Vader's. Also some Jango Fett final battle and Mace Windu. I was picking Darth Crypt and I some up when these two guy's and girl come in ransacking all the hard to find figures. When the women saw what I was holding she say's we should knock him down and take his. I'm pretty sure they were going right to ebay or another store to jack up the prices. Just thought I would send out this warning. Happy and SAFE collecting.

AOTC in DIGITAL DLP & THX!
WOW!
NOT a single blemish on the digital screening and the THX sound will put you in the show! Like Vaughn said below, if you get a chance to head out to see this at a reasonable distance away from your usual movie house haunt, DO IT! The colors are SUPER vivid and the picture is MUCH sharper than a normal screen (with a perfect play each time...NO scratches at all). If I NEVER see a movie the regular way again, it will be too soon!

Are there any Star Wars Fans in Hartford???
Hey Troops,
Im up in Hartford CT for the week for a much needed vacation. I got a chance to see AOTC for the 2nd time today at the Crown Plaza 17 (a digital THX theater)....it ROCKED. If you can road trip to a digital theater, its WORTH IT. I liked the movie even better the 2nd time...
Other than Eric, Erik and Mike, I dont think there are any other collectors up here! I went to the Westfarms mall after the movie and found 2 Genosian Warriors (with BG) and all of the sneak preview figures. The Genosians are up for grabs (5.99+tax and ship). They had tons of Dexters (no BG), coruscant guards, and taun we, but none of the more recent stuff. We went to waldenbooks in the mall and they had aurra sing masterpiece and golden droid masterpiece. Barnes and Noble there had multiples of the star wars scrapbook (highly recommended) for 6 bucks, masterpiece vader/anakin (24.99), masterpiece aurra sing (19.99), and the art of ep1 by doug chiang for 10 bucks. They also had a neat little freebie magazine with a timeline of the SW literature in it. I would have thought this stuff was long gone... but Ive had good luck at the stores in west hartford before. If youre in the Hartford CT area, you should have no problem finding these. I am still hunting for vader and luke...
In other news, does anyone have a good way to attach the hands on a Marmit? My sandy sgt's hands wont stay on. Also, is there a good way to keep the body glove from bunching up when you are putting the armor on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Trooper Roberto Reports:
Hi troopers,
This is RMS from Puerto Rico sending regards to all. Here in PR, we get both english and spanish dubbed versions of AOTC, which is ok for those young beginners (future Star Wars fans and Sandtroopers) who still can't distinguish R2-D2's densly filled language and don't know enough english to fully enjoy the experience. Nevertheless, PR has many true Star Wars fans who like myself, were carefull to choose to enjoy the english version.
Yet to our dismay, after the classic title, the film opened it's ever significant narration in spanish with "Episodio II, El Ataque de los Clones". Instantly, mumbling among confused viewers began and when the narrative text began to appear in spanish, pissed off viewers (including myself) jumped on our feet and out of the room to claim an explanation. I thought I was in the wrong theatre. By the time I caught up with the first dozen of frustrated viewers who rushed out of the room, I saw that a happless ticket greeter who was in the way was the first to get verbally trampled. Then, another assistant approached us and clarified that we were sold the right tickets, but even the "english" version had it's text translated to spanish. Couldn't they use subtitles for that? The news was somewhat baffling to the protesting crowd. Some of the more core fans didn't settle for that and requested a refund, but most of us, rationally, just turned around, took a deep breath and returned to our seats. I mean, unless the core fans were willing to travel to the mainland to enjoy the entire english version, they have no other choice but to get the DVD, sometime next year.
I'm not going to give the film away here, but I have to say that both Hayden and Christopher Lee's performances truly exceeded my expectations. The film is better than Episode I, yet I have to see it again with a more critical eye before categorizing and comparing AOTC with the other films. The film indeed was in english, yet I arrived from the protest with the movie's opening scene already in progress, so I totally missed the opening narration. So, if there's any way the text can eventually get posted, I'm sure many PR fans would be thankfull.
Regarding figure hunting, TRU is so far having the best selection at the best prices in PR. Collectors should take it easy hunting these figures...I wasn't hoarding toy isles on April 23, yet I have managed to get most of the hard to find figures (Dooku, Yoda, Boba kid, etc). It's gonna get harder now with "movie fever kids" looking for Jango Fett, Obi-Wan, Anakin, etc. But with time and patience, you will find what your'e looking for. Good luck and happy hunting to all!!!

Trooper EriK Reports:
Hi Kids, Things have been kind of exciting around my neck of the solar system. The Northampton Wal-mart has been an awe inspiring freak pit of a constant barrage of current figures. Wow, try and say that 12x fast. The only one I have a problem locating is the Nikto in ANY Wal-mart. It seems to me that one can find Clonetroopers galore in the K-B's in my area. Again, the Target in the Holyoke Mall leaves alot to be desired. Its usually a crap shoot there anyways. The Target in Enfield, Ct has been the more consistent of the two. I keep seeing many Darth Bespins but NEVER any Lukes. Now those 2 figures are a couple of hot looking figures. Hey if anyone is still looking for the Masterpiece Aurra Sing, The Waldenbooks around here has many GATHERING DUST. On a side note does any one have any advice on how to put Zam Wessel in her speeder. Don't get me wrong, she looks good standing/knealing near or around her speeder shrugging her one shoulder. Hey Hasbro, how about a super Speeder Pilot Zam. One with soft goods. Life would be complete then. Don't get me wrong, she has one hell of a magnet.
Hey just a bit of advice for those of you who have problems finding
certain figures. Instead of e-mailing people a calling them liars because you can't find anything (two words...ANGER MANAGEMENT), you might want to try clicking on one of the ad banners that Sandtroopers supplies us with. I went to KebCoToys and was able to order a Bespin Luke and a Count Dooku. Sure i paid a little extra. But not only did i get what i wanted (and it took only 5 days to get) i didn't have to
waste a lick of gas. See it would have amounted to be about the same amount of money. Not only that, KebCo doesn't charge more for "those hard to find" figures. Hey, its just something to check out next time your feeling froggy.
Speaking of froggy. Has anyone ever heard of the Mad Capsule Markets? Whooooaaaaaa!!!!!!!! Japanese craziness at its finest. They are LOUD. If your looking for a great C.D.
to crank in the car during summer with the windows down, this is definatetly theone. LOUD and FAST!!!!!! NIIIIIICE!
Jeez i almost spaced on this. The Hadley, Mass. Wal-mart has a gazzilion TIE Bombers and half as much Snow speeders.......with something that looks like some kind of dusty particles forming on them.
Hey folks UNIFY and be calm, you will find what you're looking for.

George Lucas brings out extreme reactions in film enthusiasts. Star Wars fanatics regard him as the most gifted movie-maker of all time, but some of his peers accuse him of churning out no-brained Hollywood trash.
Director filmography - since 1970
THX 1138 (1970)
American Graffiti (1973)
Star Wars Ep IV (1977)
The Phantom Menace (1999)
Attack of The Clones (2002)
Star Wars Ep III (2005)
Lucas was born on 14 May 1944 in the California town of Modesto. His parents wanted him to take over the family stationary business, but after flirting with becoming a racing car driver - a dream which died after he was involved in a serious car crash - he began studying film at the University of Southern California.
After graduating, he made a longer version of one of his college shorts - THX 1138, released through Francis Ford Coppola's American Zoetrope studio in 1970. The two had been friends since meeting the set of Coppola's Finian's Rainbow in 1967.
Lucas with Ewan McGregor, who recently admitted the Phantom Menace was "flat"
Following the struggle to escape from a futuristic society located beneath the surface of the Earth, the cold and stark film got Lucas noticed while he was just 26.
Graffiti acclaim
Three years later, he followed it up with the acclaimed American Graffiti, about the hopes and dreams of Californian high school graduates.
Its stars included Ron Howard and Harrison Ford - while Lucas, who won a Golden Globe and five Oscar nominations, was building himself a huge reputation to live up to.
With Coppola busy on The Godfather, Lucas made American Graffiti through his new company, Lucasfilm.
Lucas started writing Star Wars in 1973, but he wasn't convinced it would be a success.
"I've made a Disney movie, a cross between Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes," he declared after an initial screening met with a gloomy reaction.
Lucas has built up an empire of companies
But he was prepared to take a risk on it - agreeing to take a lower fee for writing and directing, but opting to take 40% of the rights to the film's merchandising. Twenty-five years later, this deal alone has made him a billionaire...."

Troopette Donna Reports:
Hi, Donna from So. Cal. Just returned from a trip to Las Vegas. I was able to catch EPII in LV on Friday morning at the theaters at the "New Orleans" casino based on the recommendation from fellow trooper Ozziehihorse. Saw it on a Digital Projection screen and must say EPII is way better than EPI. I loved C3PO and Yoda in "Attack of the Clones". While I was out there, I was able to do alittle hunting. I found one Bespin Luke at a TRU and found the Endor Soldier, Djas Puhr, and Supreme Chancellor Palpatine at a Wal-Mart. Happy Hunting!

Trooper Jim Reports:
Troopers, went to TRU today and got the free LEGO poster 18.5" X 26" and two different sides: one with a photorealistic Geonosian arena background and Lego Destroyer Droids and Super Battle Droids; the other side with Tatooine background and an Anakin/Speederbike Vs LEGO Tusken Raiders. Also, if you look at the bottom of the Scholastic Book Store Display, there is a free tow-sided tear sheet poster 13.5" X 10" showing the nice morphing Anakin (from Jake Lloyd to Hayden) and the other side showing a pretty good Jango and Boba Fett photo.
The other freebie is a mini-comic, 8.5" X 5", Star Wars: Full of Surprises ( #1 of 4). 10 Pages of color art that includes the asteroid battle. I have one extra of the comic. If anyone cannot get one from their local TRU, e-mail me at bjk@bhsga.com and I will get it in the mail to you.
Figures there were pretty good: both Bespins, the screaming Mace, one 12" Mace, and Jango Final Battle. These are the first in the Valdosta, Georgia area that I am aware. I'm going to see the fine flick again tomorrow night. I have thought about it and rank it #1 in the saga with ESB a frog's hair second. Really doesn't matter too much since in three more years we will all have a ragin' 12 hour plus odyssey to watch!
Sandtroopers rule! Keep the communicators hot.

Trooper Spiceowan reacts:
Trooper Spiceowan reporting in, In response to Trooper Matt's post in the Detroit news. What a bunch of junk. It is simply some Latino woman trying hard to get her 15 minutes of fame. What's next Edward James Olmos calling for a boycott of Clones? Give me a break . Also , the thing about Jango calling his son "Baba" , no it's Boba; anyone in the free world knows it's Boba. The bottom line is this, Lucas has done it again, the film is a blockbuster and quite possibly the best in the series. The critics have bashed it and all I have heard from the people that it matters to most ( The true fans) , have all said it is great. Like Darth Crypt said the only problem I had on leaving the theatre was how am I gonna wait 3 years for the next one? The problem these days is everyone has to be so PC. For instance, changing the faces on the Firefighters who really raised the flag at ground zero to a white, black and latino! Give me a break . If it were 3 white guys then it was 3 white guys. I wouldn't have problem no matter what race it was . Bottom line it was raised right? It is what it is and we should try to leave things like that. Peace Out Troops Clones for life,,, Kamino and all Lord Spiceowan
c.spice@att.net
Good insights Spiceowan. I also want to thank Spiceowan for sending me the C2 poster and a CD full of 130+ photos from The Celebration as a little gift for yours truly. Thanks buddy! - J.

Hey troops I am in the process of completing my AOTC card collection but am missing a few to complete the set. I am getting annoyed at myself because I have bought 8 packs in the last few days and still haven't filled the holes. That's 16 bucks I could have used to see AOTC again and again. Some are quite common but I can't find them. Have no fear I do have stuff to offer in return. I need cards #21, #33 and #41. I also need Prismatic Foil cards #3 and #8. I have to offer Panoramic Fold-out cards #1, #2, #3, #4. Prismatic foil cards #1, #2, #4 and #7. I also have Silver foil cards #1, #2, #3, #4, #7, #8, #9, #10. Please help me out! By the way, I loved AOTC and thought it was a great movie.

Hey fellow Sandtroopers! Did anybody take their junior Sandtroopers to
Wal-mart Saturday. I did and at least my son had 5 minutes of fun there. It was such a joke. There were only about 6 kids. They got to play with Obi-wan deluxe, build as many Lego clones as they could, and play in this cool electronic display. All the kids got were a certificate. Literally every event was timed for 60 seconds each. And on top of that they trashed the display. No one was allowed to get it. I suggested they should've had a drawing for it. I said to the Frito-Lay rep.,"Do you realize how many fans would want that?" Oh well, win some...lose some. MTFBWY!

Response to AOTC racism by trooper Shawn:
''This is in response to Trooper Matt's post. I wrote an e-mail to the author of this article and I encourage everyone to do the same. I wanted to cuss and yell at the guy(his phone number is at the end of the article) but I didn't. Instead this is what I wrote:''
''You have got to be kidding. I think you are reading too much into this movie. It's paranoid people like yourself that stir this kind of nonsense. You're most likely one of those people that wants to find some type of racism in everything because you do not have anything better to do. (Do you think billiards is racist because the game is over when the WHITE ball has knocked all the different colored balls in and finishes off the BLACK ball?) The only racism I see is coming from you and your colleagues. "He looked totally Latino...And his kid looked even more Latino." Now that sounds like stereotyping to me. How about "I frankly think the bounty hunter is Arab...He's basically a terrorist." Complaining about Jimmy Smits and Samuel L. Jackson's screen time, come on, if you knew the story you would know their importance. It does not matter how many lines you have. Remember, actions speak louder than words. I could go on and on about this but I am sure you have more letters to read and more conspiracies to unravel in the movie industry.''

AOTC
Arguably the BEST movie in the Star Wars series, it is!
Forget ALL the negative and political fall-der-all surrounding this film. I SURELY didn't think about ANY of that, nor did I look at anyone else in that theatre with a discriminating eye. All I cared about were the characters and what was happening with them. Some people must try and bring down the giant. Lucas has TRUELY created important work that is setting a NEW standard for entertainment and dollar value. I did NOT feel like my $6 was spent in vain...all I walked away with is how was I going to deal with having to wait 3 more years for the next film!!! People who want to start racial problems out of something that is pure fantasy and entertaining as well as films that bring collectors and fans of ALL races together are a menace. I suggest backlash against them....and NOT against Lucas. Just my opinion.
AOTC is the newest film in the Star Wars series (and in my opinion..THE VERY BEST one). It is a way to escape our lives for just over 2 hours. It is fun, moving and wildly entertaining...enjoy it!
Negative people will ALWAYS be finding fault in something, whether it is AOTC or something else...THEY follow "THE DARK SIDE", we should NOT!...One earth = One people.

Racism in AOTC...??? by trooper Matt:
Sandtroopers.com staff -
Someone posted the following link to this disgusting piece of ignorant trash in the Rebelscum forums. It's an absolutely ludicrous article in a Detroit newspaper suggesting that there's a lot of racism in AOTC and the other Star Wars movies. I think you should post it as news, and encourage your readers (as well as yourselves) to bombard this Detroit based newspaper with their thoughts and support for George Lucas and the Star Wars movies. This makes me so angry I don't know what to do. I feel that we, as the Star Wars fan community, should do all that we can to rally some support here. I'll be mentioning this article to ALL of the other Star Wars websites as well. Thanks for your
consideration.

Still no sign of Bespin Darth or Bespin Luke in the Southern California vicinity specifically Hemet, Temecula, Murrieta, Riverside, and San Bernardino. If any troopers found anything I missed please contact me. Secondly, does anyone have any information on the Star Wars video supposedly released to video last week entitled "a Galaxy far, far away" (I think). It's suppose to be about Star Wars collectors and sort of a story on their lives. Thirdly, still looking for some vintage parts. Looking for the belt and bombs for the 15" vintage IG-88, a shoe for the 12" vintage Leia, a blaster for the 12" vintage stormtrooper, and a lightsaber for the 12" vintage Ben Kenobi. I can buy or trade. One interesting thing of note I have to trade is a short blaster for the 15" vintage IG-88.

Trooper Jedi Madeus Reports:
Just reporting in after attending the Sci Fair Expo in Plano, TX. I was able to get Jango's signature, but it was a bit unorganized on how they proceeded with it. Made me sick seeing some scalpers getting things signed that I know are probably already on ebay as I type this. Fortunately, Tam Morrison was limiting signatures. I was able to turn some people onto Sandtroopers.com so hopefully you guys keep up everything on those hard to find figures for fellow troopers.
Spent quite a bit of money but refused to pay $75 for Jorg figure...
However, I met a good guy from Austin that worked out a trade with me so I should be getting a C2 figure next weekend...traded him the Turning head Jango Fett dispay that I was able to get for free a few weeks ago. I just do not have room for it as I am moving and when I received it I did not realize how much space it actually took up. Wish I could have met some local fellow troopers that were there.
501st local garrison was there in force and escorted Ray Parks around as well as Obi Wans stunt double after their performance...did not view it but heard it was awesome. Listened in on Boba (Tam Morrison) and Jango Fett's (Jeremy Bulloch) question and answer session...quite entertaining but a few stupid questions popped up, almost wasting some time.
Lots of people there...makes me miss not making Celebration 2 even more....
Madeus
PS...Was going through my figures because we are getting ready to move and found a carded Swimming Jar Jar if anyone needs it. He was selling for $25 bucks at the fair but not worth it. Like I told some people that I met today, check out Sandtroopers and save your money... If interested in the figure, let me know atMadeus@fanforce.net.
Thanks for spreading the sandtrooper word! The more troops there are with us, the more successful everyone will be in getting the toys that they want! Unify!

Hey Troopers,
Just a reminder that this week is Star Wars week on Biography. I'm glad too because it'll give me something to watch while I'm wraping all your Clonetrooper helmets! Also I won't be seeing AOTC till next weekend so it'll get me pumped for the movie. Don't think I'm gonna really need it though.
On a side note I found both the Taun We and Dooku waves at my Walmart here in North Bay, Ontario. So all you Canadain troopers out there should check out Walmart. That's it for now. Take care.

Home...
Hey Troops,
Ive returned from my trip halfway around the world...and its good to be back. I did see some pretty funny stuff in Japan. We did a lot of "touristy" stuff during the first 2 days. As I mentioned in my previous (very difficult to type) post, a store called kiddy land had marmit figures, the fine molds tie fighter, lots of ep2 stuff, lots of ep1 stuff, and removable helmet vader. Figures were about 10 bucks there. They had limp bizkit and reservoir dogs kubricks too, but no star wars :(. Very nice selection of stuff though. The tie bomber was nearly 70 bucks!
We went to the Tokyo Tower, which is a taller "replica" of the Eiffel Tower. They had a "movie memoribilia" shop in the ground floor. They had a Jorg Sacul for 10000 yen (about 80 bucks). They also had about 4 hooded leias, holo sidious, swimming jar jar, naboo royal security, and battle damaged destroyer for about $12 each. It was so cool to see these on the pegs again!
Another super-store called "bicbic" had Ep2 stuff for about 7 bucks a figure. They had all of the LEGOs and ships as well for "reasonable" prices. I picked up a Macross/robotech valkyrie fighter for about 40 bucks. These typically sell for about 75 here.
Just before we left I picked up Orn Free Taa, Massiff with GENOSIAN????, Tom Green Endor Gear, Screamin Mace windu, Jango with Flame, and Qui-gon. Im looking for Luke and Vader currently.
I want to thank Justin (BobaFettsDad)from PSWCS for hooking me up with Theater Luke for a Jorg Sacul!
Its good to be back, but its gonna take some time for me to dig out my inbox. If youve emailed me, please be patient. Thanks!

I went to my local TRU today in New Jersey. I asked the manager how many Figure posters they had. She said that they had a nice box full of them. She asked me why, and i told her that i was seeing Episode 2 tomorrow(Sunday) at 11:00 P.M. and there was no way of getting to the store and then getting to the theather in enought time to get a good seat. So,being paitent, she gave me one poster plus a SW:AOTC comic book today at about 4:30 PM, i thanked her and went on my way, but she told me to keep it between her and i, but, i did not mention the store, would not want her to get into any trouble.

Hello all you happy troopers!!! Well, it sounds like everyone has enjoyed the movie as much as me. I have a new favorite episode now, I guess I will have to change it on my Bio. Lucas is the Master, no debating that!! Did anyone notice Anthony Daniels making a Camio apperance without his 3PO costume? He was in the night club on Coursant talking to the fella who plays Jar Jar Binks who also wasn't in costume. Next time you see it, look closely in the background when Anakin is searching the night club for Zam Wessel, Its very breif. Also, I was informed that the young Jedi Padewan who patiently waited for the old lady in the archive room to finish assisting Obi-Wan is George Lucas's son. One more observation, at the very end, when Amidala and Anakin are getting married on Naboo, with 3PO and R2 standing next to them, its the same ending as Empire when Luke and Leia are looking out of the medical Frigit with the same droids next to them...check it all out next time you see it. I have already seen it three times.
Now for the news, no new waves anywhere in Baton Rouge, Baker, Denham Springs or Walker. I did however find the PlaySkool Stomping Wompa and Endor Speeder Bike at KB Toys for $7.99. I picked up one of each for my good friend Brian in Canada. There was one set left. Thats about it for the toy news, still the same figs everywhere. I would like to once again thank Brian in Indy for getting me the CII fig, I got it in the mail the other day and the packing was fabulous!! Thanks Brian!!

Trooper Dennis Reports:
Made my usual rounds today. Found Ultimate Jango Fett at Toys R Us(Awesome Figure) and that was about it. Was looking for Luke Bespin w/
bloody stump and Luminari Unduli w/o sticker over "Removable Cloak" but no luck. I found out from a Toys R Us employee that the local
hoarder/scalper trash is going around buying up Luke Bespin (bloody or not) everywhere. He said he put out 10 cases of that wave and they bought every Luke Bespin. I guess he's the next Dooku. So if anyone can help me out with either one of these please let me know.
I am thinking about starting up my own web page for the Jacksonville
Area modeled after Sandtroopers where all the collectors in the Jacksonville area can have a place to meet other collectors and trade or help each other out with what we are looking for. We all have to stick together and watch out for each other against the wretched scum of the scalper/hoarder and Sandtroopers has the right idea but we can take it to the next level in our own cities and put them out of business. If all collectors in a certain area are united and look out for what everyone else is looking for and buy it up before the scalper/hoarder get it then they will have nothing to sell. Think about doing this in your own area and you can help fellow collectors in your own area and we can still come to Sandtroopers and help fellow collectors across the world.
If we can get all the real collectors in the world united against these scum and watching out for each other the scalper/hoarder would have no one to sell to but themselves. Then and only then will we truly be free !!!!! (I wish I had some theme music playing while you were reading this.) Anyway I think this is the ultimate goal of the Sandtroopers page but only we can make it happen. Well that's the end of my sermon. I will keep you updated on my progress with my page.
dennis_slater@hotmail.com
You may also want to look into regional collecting groups. A quick look came up with a site for Florida collectors. Other troopers may be interested in these groups as well. You can check the regional groups section at thejawa.com to see if one is in your area.

Hey troops, I wanted to know if anyone wanted to go in on a case of Figures with me. Entertainment Earth is selling cases for $74.95, the one I want to get has 2xDooku, 2x Anakin Hanger Dual, 2x Yoda, 2x Zam, 3x Clone Trooper, and 1 peasant Anakin. I live in southern Cal. and can pick up the case on my lunch. I would be willing to split the shipping to get the figures to you. AOTC was great, but did anyone else leave filling like something was missing. Maybe it was just me. I am definitely going to see it again, only this time on the digital screen.

Hi just thought I would throw my two pennie's worth in about the movie. all I can say it was superb, I heard so much about the yoda scene, but when you finally see it it's amazing, boy can that little guy move. I hope we see him in action a bit more in the next episode. ewan mcgregor has really come on as obi wan, and the battle scenes are amazing. The kamino's, the geonosian's, count dooku, jango fett, all superb. The story is really starting to come together now, george lucas is just a geniuse. You don't have to be a starwars fan to enjoy this movie there's that much action, excellent. Thank's,see ya.

''Hey Troops, Jimsjedi here, AOTC was GREAT!!! So much better that EP1. I love seeing Anakin get upset and angered at things, to see a change in his attitude to what he becomes is so exciting. I'll most likely go and see it again this weekend. I picked up the figure poster at my local TRU yesterday, I guess these are not suppose to be out until Sunday, but a clerk who knows I collect told me they had them and offered me one. Some sites are saying they only are giving out 25 of these, but I'm not sure. I'm going to try and get some more today. I'll post it here if I can get any extra. See Ya.''

AOTC spoiler free
Well Troops, I have seen AOTC twice now. I went to the midnight showing and had to see it again on Thursday afternoon to try and digest it all. I have to say Yoda and Anakin made this movie for me. I enjoyed it every bit as much as TPM and as much as the original trilogy. This story really did a good job of furthering the story line started in Ep 1. It is leaving me waiting in anticipation for Ep 3. The one thing that kinda surprised me was I didn't enjoy the lightsaber fights as much as TPM. Maybe there was just too much going on in each shot to fully appreciate the battle sequences, but even the battle between the Jedi and Dooku wasn't as exhilarating as Darth Maul versus Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. Anyway, if you haven't seen it yet, go do so sometime soon. If you have, go see it again. I will be posting a review of AOTC comic series very soon and the novel sometime after that.

Although AOTC has two thumbs up from me there are 2 things that kinda bugs me, first the Aklay creature was taken from ''Star Ship Troopers'' and second the Reek from the infamous potion in ''The Relic''.

Trooper J. Reports:
I just wanted to make a post on this great web site and let everyone know that Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones is the movie for
"everyone" to see this summer. A few buddies and I went to the midnight showing last night at Marcus Theaters in Columbus, Ohio and this was a SOLD OUT SHOW....got a love it. We are true diehard Star Wars fans; just like everyone else there last night....there was so much anticipation for this film....you could see it on the faces of every person that stood in line. We were all very excited to be there on opening night; my buddies and I even brought our glowing toy lightsabers...this was just for laughs and giggles...LOL. I am not going to give anything away from this film masterpiece... but if you have not seen it.................YOU WILL BE IN FOR A "HUGE SURPRISE"...
Lucas has made another movie that will go down in film history!!! If you have younger kids...they are about to be introduced to the wonderful world of Star Wars....just like we all experienced when we saw Star Wars for the very first time in our youth. In the next few days, everyone will start reading & hearing reviews on this film. If the stupid critics knock this movie, then they were "NEVER" a true Star Wars fan. So don't take the bad reviews to heart because they are simply wrong! Enjoy my friends and keep Star Wars "alive forever".... the true word on the streets will keep Star Wars a wordwide cultural phenomenon forever...take care and may the force be with us all.

Short review on AOTC:
Way back from watching E-II, I must say foooooorget the critics, the movie is really AWESOME!! Now everything is starting to make sense unlike E-1. If Jar-Jar has a position in Naboo's goverment then I can be president of the USA LOL. This movie ends kinda of ESB. The transition from Digital format to standard is noticeable at the begining of the movie ''A long time ago'' intro and some scenes with the totally digital Yoda, they do look like an out-of-focus View Master from Mattel; I thought the clone troopers duh!!! even though were cloned after Jango Fett were the bad guys I was wrong, so, this is the prelude of Episode-3 and the infamous clone wars from ANH. Seeing the Lars homestead really gave me goosebumps. Owen Lars and Beru are back of course younger and some other stuff that I don't wanna spoil. The asteroid chase is very nice BUT I must say that I felt I was playing a video game on a 16 X 9 aspect ratio [you know what I mean] nothing like the asteroid chase in ESB with real prop models.
NOTE: Keep your eyes peeled in the scene of Anakin and Padme/Amidala in Naboo's praire, there is an earthling bumblebee hovering around a flower, so don't blink..... Despite Zam Wessel's short appeareance this character really ROCKS!!! Lot bettter than Aura Sing.

I live in Los Angeles where just about every movie critic hates everything unless it is a chick flick or somethng to do with Shakespeare. I went to Kmart today in Paramus , New Jersey, they had none, so I got a raincheck. Anyway, then I went to TRU in Paramus(Rt.17) and saw four of them. They were $47.00 a piece, what a rip. So, I had two ads for Kmart and they both price matched them for $32.99, my friend got the other one. AWESOME!!!! figure, can't wait to open it...

Trooper Jeffred5 Reports:
I just read the posting from Jeff in MN. I guess you could say they have booku Dooku. Well, I thought it was funny. I just wanted to tell everyone to enjoy the show tonight and tomorrow, and to really savor the moment, because after this we will only have one more opening day for a Star Wars movie. Then there will be no more new Star Wars other than books. So, for me at least this is a bitter/sweet day GREAT because it's a new Star Wars movie, but a little sad knowing we are getting close to the end of what will be almost 30 years of Star Wars. But, remember they will keep making Star Wars stuff like toys, and books, and comics only as long as it is profitable so it really is up to us to keep Star Wars alive. Lets face reality, they do it for the money, so as long as we keep spending money and buying Star Wars stuff they will keep making it. But, if the late 2000's are like the late 80's Star Wars will fade away again and might not come back. I don't mean to be a downer on this great day, just something to think about while you stand in line. For now let's get out there and enjoy the show. The Force Is With Us!

''Hey George, I just wanted to let you know that I was at the Bloomington TRU this morning and they had Dooku Galore there. I emailed you last Friday after not finding any when your buddy did at the same store. Well, they must've received twice as much because they are everywhere. I also found a Bespin Vader, but I had only seen one more there. They are moving there figs to the back eisle pegs and that's where most of the new stuff was. They also had 12" Jango and Mace. I picked up one Jango ($39.99 each) and they had two more there. They had about a half dozen Mace Windus''.

Thanks for nothing Amazon. On a lighter note,I finally found the Bespin Luke and Vader, they look great.

Trooper XxlaxplayerxX Reports:
Star Wars producer Rick McCallum has explained why George Lucas is taking his time releasing the original trilogy on DVD. McCallum says Lucas wants to tell the 'whole story' on DVD by adding extra scenes to the first three Star Wars movies. He has been filming the additional scenes during his work on the latest Star Wars prequel, Attack Of The Clones. McCallum told www.empireonline.co.uk that additional footage will also be shot during the filming of the third prequel. He said: "Oh you're definitely going to get it all. With George, he'll keep on changing the film till the day he dies." He is currently 'persuading' Lucas to provide a commentary track to the upcoming Attack Of The Clones DVD. Much of the four hours of footage which comprised the uncut film is expected to crop up as a special Director's Cut.

Review are coming in for AOTC...UH. Not so good, so far..
NOTE: There are no spoilers involved, just a critique...

A wild ride or an incoherent political farce..?
This is from THE WASHINGTON POST
"The emotional climax of "Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones" is fabulous. Soaring and majestic, it reaches deep inside you to stroke chords of fond memory, to reaffirm the pleasure and healing power of narrative, to liberate the imagination.
Unfortunately, it comes in the first two seconds. That's when the legendary words "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away . . ." materialize on the screen and John Williams's familiar music rises thunderously. After that, the movie doesn't go downhill or uphill; it doesn't go anywhere. It flatlines.
Memo to George Lucas: Hire an editor, bud..."

Kellogg's Clonetrooper Helmets
Just thought I'd post this e-mail in case I missed sending it out to anyone last night. IF I missed anyone, PLMK. I have now received over 50 requests for these! If you want one please e-mail me. Don't just send payment. My store doesn't have many left.
Hello Everyone,
As promised here are the payment details. I decided to do a mass e-mail as I've had too many requests to respond individually. Here it goes.
1) Here is my addy to send payment;
Tyler Bedard
447 Kingsway Ave
North Bay, Ontario, Canada
P1B 8C9
2) If you haven't already sent your addy I will need it.
3) Payment can only be by International Money Order available at the post office and many other places. US MO's are no good to me as they are only cashable within the US. I will send the parcel when I receive payment and notify you. Please notify me when you send payment so I can look out for it.
4) I beleive each of you only ordered one so cost is $13 US for the box set and $9 US for ground shipping. So that's $22 US total.
5) I will be sending them in their original cardboard boxes but wrapped in brown paper wrap. Unfortunately with as many orders as I've received (almost 50 now) I do not have the time to find another box to put them in. Hopefully all will arrive in good shape.
I think that's it. If you have any questions just e-mail me. Hope everyone will be happy. Take care troops.

"I just wanted to praise fellow trooper David Le. I read his post last week about needing Jango Fett's autograph at the upcoming Dallas Sci-Fi Expo and I responded. I'd been able to help David out in the past and had lost touch with him over the past year and didn't even realize that it was him when I responded to his request. Well, we talked and he sent me his figure he wanted to get signed along with a gift for me.... A JORG SACUL FIGURE!! I can't tell you how shocked and thrilled I was, this kind of thing is almost unheard of, but David truly is a SUPER nice guy and I wanted to publicly praise him for his kind act. Thanks again,

Trooper Bruce here from MN...
I saw the new 12" Jango Fett today at Walmart in Brooklyn Park off 81. They have it priced at a whopping $39.98. They had 6 of them. K-Mart had rain checks for them at a lower $32.99. Wonder if Walmart will Price Match?? I got a nasty email today from someone stating that my last find of new figs was bogus. If those of you who I sent these figs to wants to email this clown, email me and I will forward the email to you and you can email him. What is this coming to??? Do we now have to email pictures of ourselves with these finds in order to satisfy those of you who don't believe?? I wouldn't waste my time on you. For those of you who Trade/Buy from me regularly, I'm glad I can help. People are getting so worked up over this stuff. Relax and have some fun.
I also want to say thanks to Vaughn and James Titus for the great trading. Glad I could help. That's it for now. For those who BELIEVE, if you need a 12" Jango, LMK. Or a 3 3/4" jango final battle, Mace, Massif, Orn, Taun, Endor, or Royal Guard,
email me at the4cbwu@msn.com I will send pictures if needed!

I also noticed something new last night at Wal Mart. They had a new set of Luminari figures... Now they are covering up the entire phrase "Removable Cloak" on the side of the package instead of letting "cloak" show. I'm beginning to wonder if the big 'H' has caught on to the whole variation thing and trying to cash in. There seems to be a pattern forming with these!
Just an observation.

Usually I just report what I find and search all over until I find what I'm looking for, but this time I need something that will be gone in a short time so I am asking for some help finding it. TV Guide Magazine for the week of May 11-17 has three different Star Wars covers and I have the one with Anakin swinging a Lightsaber with a desert background, and the one with Anakin kissing Padme with a blue sky background, but I couldn't find the third one and all the local stores are sold out. I haven't seen the third one but I heard it has a picture of Anakin that changes into Vader. If anyone can get me one or isn't going to keep theirs after the week is over I would really appreciate it. Thanks and MTFBWY,

Trooper California Tim Reports:
With my feet firmly on the ground I can now file a report. C2 was a most excellent time. The line up at the Coronet in San Francisco began last week, with a sneek visit by George himself just this past Saturday. Apparently all the ILM'rs got their preview show and the fans standing in line for the coming up midnight show were invited in as well. And I missed it!! Oh well....Rick McCallum is rumored to be appearing at the midnight show so I'm looking forward to that. It's going to be CRAZY! I did make out like a bandit on the toys though. Visiting my parents near Roseville I stopped in the WalMart and found a bunch of figures I didn't have. Bes Luke, Bes Vader, Endor rebel, Massif, Orn Free Ta, Qui-Gon Jinn, Arena Mace, Final Battle Fett, Luminara, it was a buying frenzy all over again! I then went over to the Galleria across the freeway and found a beat up Count Dooku at KB, first one I've seen here. Still on the hunt for Yoda and another not so beat up Dooku. I went back to these stores the next day and everything was picked over. That's it for now. Peace to you all and May The Force Be With You.

They also had the new Qui-Gon Jinn figure, but I left that one on the pegs as I'm not really impressed with it. Hey Troopers,
Well due to the huge number of requests I've had for these I went out and bought another 20 today! I still have some left and can get more if needed. Cost once again is $13 US plus shipping or I would rather and trade one for either a Jorg Sacul C2 figure or a TF Vader. For all those who have already requested one, please realize it is going to take me time to reply to all your requests but I WILL get one for everyone who wants one. And please send payment promptly as I need to get these out of my living room before my wife looses it! She's been great about it so far thankfully. Not to mention my $700 plus MasterCard :) Take care troopers. tyler@sandtroopers.com

If you Understand this:
Hola George, Soy Jose "komix".
Well, no matter the language it really shows GREAT indignation. José along with some friends in this community are expressing great dissapointment with troopers in our forums that after arranging trades for the Jedi Con C-3PO for Jorg Sacul some troopers have fallen in the darkside of collecting, prefering to recover the money spent in the Celebration i.e. tickets and lodging by selling the figures over Epay; ''A big shame'' he quoted. Moreover when we have a lots of HEROES that traded fairly this figure or simply sold them at cost. And I personally know from troopers witholding these figures just for the simple fact of the 3 different beard hues, I do respect those who collect variants but common guys, this doesn't make any difference, it is just a piece of plastic with a factory mistake; I can't wait to get mine to tear it open, these are toys PERIOD.

Plus if anyone is collecting the SW Rubik's cube heads that come in Kellogg's cereals, I am in need of the Ben/Obi-wan character. I have doubles of all the others except R2/3PO.
Finally I am still in need of a few cards to complete my Topps AOTC trading card set. I have plenty of doubles. If anyone wants to make a trade, PLMK.

Count Dooku hits Puerto Rico:
My old time buddy and Sandtroopers colaborator Luis Rafael [Rafy] Vazquéz, scored the elusive Dark Lord @ TRU's in Mayaguez. [They had over a dozen of them yesterday Sunday]; Also available Taun We, Luminara and others but no Vader/Luke and Endor Soldier; Also Mace Windu was in his find but overlooked; This figure has a great pose and sculpture but the only reason I passed on this one was bacause Hasbro forgot to put some eyes one it which makes this figure looking totally odd. For those Puertorrican finds/reports FEEL FREE TO SEND THEM IN either in English or Spanish.

Kellogg's Star Wars Rubik's Cubes
Hey Troopers,
I stopped at one of the grocery stores in town today and finally found some boxes of cereal containing the SW Rubik's Cubes! I picked up 15 boxes and am only missing the Obi-wan/Ben cube. These things are pretty cool and alot larger than I first expected (2"x2"). Also they had a Lays/Doritos display with all kinds of stand ups and cardboard pictures on it. I enquired about what they were going to do with it when the promos over and the guy asked me what I wanted from it. I told him everything and anything. He said well here you go and proceeded to start taking the display apart! I got two full size stand-ups of Anakin and Jango along with about a dozen other small clip-on stand-ups and a few life sized pictures. The only thing he left was basically the shell. Very cool! So it just goes to show once again, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Jorg Sacul variations from TheBothanSpy.com
Hey Troops, my good friend Ishi Tib from TheBothanSpy.com has checked in with some detailed photos of some Jorg Sacul variations. For those variation hunters out there, you can now commence pounding your heads in frustration, it looks like there are more variations than there were figures in the run. OK, not really, but for a figure that was only released for three days, Hasbro really managed to pack the variations in there. Click here to check it out.

RAY PARK (DARTH MAUL) to play IRON FIST...
Repost:
Just confirmed from a VERY close source to Park that he will play the Kung Fu master IRON FIST from the Marvel comic book: POWERMAN & IRON FIST...! Our source states that he closed this deal a week ago, this explains his absence from C2! Ray will also be reprising his role as TOAD in X-MEN 2. Ray has just finished shooting a new film with Antonio Banderas as well!
For the comic book troops out there, might be time to break out the old issues of Powerman & Iron fist and reread them...
In other news: Ben Affleck will be playing Dare Devil in another Marvel comics offering.

Kellogg's Clonetrooper Helmets for only $16 US!
Hey Troopers,
Well I went on the hunt for the "in store" Clonetrooper helmet and have had no luck. I even have my wife's aunt who lives in Toronto looking for it for me! What I did find though was a box of Fruit Loops cereal with an offer on it to order the helemet. Cost is $19.99 CAN taxes and shipping included (Canada only) plus you need a cut out token from the cereal box ($3.99 CAN). So total would be $24 CAN or $16 US plus shipping. Now I'll get anyone who wants one of these for cost plus shipping as I live in Canada and am able to order them. However, I'd prefer to trade them for a Jorg Sacul C2 figure if possible. Thanks to a good friend I already have one for myself but I have 2 other friends who weren't so lucky and I'd like to get them one. So those trades will take precedent over any "for cost orders" but I think Kellogg's probably has enough to go around. Either this or you can "buy it now" for $59.99 on epay! So if anyone has a C2 figure to trade for one or wants one for cost of $16 US plus shipping, e-mail me tyler@sandtroopers.com

Trooper Shawn F. reports:
Hi, I just checked the KB website and noticed that they had the Count Dooku figure marked up to $9.99 vice the regular price of $5.99. Seems they're trying to capitalize on our misfortunes of not being able to find this figure in our stores. I've e-mail a complaint to their customer service department and informed them that I will also be "spreading the word" about their shady business practices regarding this figure. This really troubles me because I've bought a lot from them in the past and have never had a complaint, but it seems they've lowered their own standards and have, in effect, become scalpers. Thanks for your time and I would love it if you would post this, Thanks, Shawn Fitzgerald, Atlanta, Texas. fitzgerald69@peoplepc.com
