Force of the Bay: Equal Opportunity Sniper
The art of collecting survival continues and the sands of Ebay tend to kick up a storm of dust. In that whirlwind you could find a blueprint that might bring you to another world. That old stocking stuffer that you practiced your very first lightsaber moves, or your kid sister's first pair of Underoos, it is all right there at your fingertips. The mirror will not tell who the fairest collector of them all is, but once in a while you can find a seller that knows where to find a good shot! It is nothing more than putting the target in your sights and obliterating anyone who dares to bid against you. It doesn’t matter if you are another Trooper with his chest puffed out or a new Troopette just trying to fit in. You will find everything you could ever desire, occasionally in a single listing! Remember Sandtroopers.com neither endorses nor authenticates any of the items featured here. Good luck to you Troopers in your searches, Kick A$& and take names!

Star Wars Flashback
Star Wars FlashbackThe year 1977, the date May 25th will forever live in infamy in the mind of all Star Wars fans alike. The day our beloved Saga first hit the Big Screen and at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood the lines were wrapping around the block. In light of the 30th Anniversary coming out, there will be lots of stories, old and new hitting the web. Some old news we already knew and some new and interesting facts never revealed. Did you know after the opening weekend, Lucas wasn't convinced he really hit it big? Or that Lucas fronted most of his cash from American Graffiti to fund the beginning of Star Wars until 20th Century Fox picked him up? This and more info can be found at SciFi.com and some interesting behind-the-scenes stories and photos can be found at Wired. Be sure to check out all the photos.

Sandwatch Update: Double dose of Mini-busts!
You will buy me and add me to your shelf now! What Star Wars collector could forget the moment they first saw Luke Skywalker clad in his Jedi Robes entering Jabba's palace? We can only wonder why they would choose to select him as a Stormtrooper or X-Wing gear first? The team at Gentle Giant did a great job of capturing his likeness in one of their newest mini-busts. There is no wonder why this line continues to flourish and is one of the most popular in collecting today.

Like a Nightrain, ready to crash and burn! Our second mini-bust added is one of the more mysterious Jedi of the prequel films. Plo Koon was brilliantly sculpted and they did an incredible job of bringing out all of the details but yet not taking away any of the character's presence. There is no wonder why this was the first Jedi made that wasn't a main character, as Plo-Koon continues to be a major fan favorite. For a look a these two new additions, as well as the entire mini-bust line, visit our Gentle Giant Mini-Bust section sponsored by our friends at Andrew's Toyz.

Sandwatch Guides: Bantha with Tusken Raiders
Sandwatch Guides: Bantha with Tusken RaidersThe local inhabitants of Tatooine fear them. Jawas are especially afraid of them (what aren't they afraid of though?), and sandtroopers just shoot 'em dead on sight. Who am I referring to? I'm talking about those tusken raiders, the vile creatures that plague Tatooine's surface like roaches in a cheap hotel. Fellow staff member Boba Binks has put together a new visual guide of the new Bantha with Tusken Raiders set from Hasbro, and even though the Bantha has been done before it's still a nice piece to add to your collection. Still STanding!“Hey Troops. Jedichirp here in Indy. However, today I went on a Star Wars Run to the Greenwood Target on S. Meridian and found the new wave of Galactic Heroes for my son. I picked up all 4 packs—(Carbonite Han/Boushh Leia),(Vader/Luke), (Imperial Gunner/Royal Guard), and (Ponda Baba/Snaggletooth). I love these figs and my boy plays with then nonstop almost every day. The Royal Guard are one of his favorite characters, I guess from just the looks of them, so he will be excited after I pick him up at daycare. Also at Target, up by checkout #18 on the end cap, they have all 6 of the Order 66 2packs. I passed on these just because I didn’t want to spend $80+ on Star Wars and just chose to help my boy out. Truly magical!Celebration IV is coming up very quickly and a lot of Troopers are planning on attending out in California. There's also another event coming up a few weeks after that you might want to attend at the Happiest Place On Earth! Star Wars Weekends are back in sunny Orlando again. From June 1st through the 24th fans will get to interact all things Star Wars in the MGM Studios lot, including guests from all 6 films. Please check this thread in the forums for all scheduled guests. I was able to attend last years weekend with my family, and we all had a blast. My son must of went on the Star Tours ride a couple of dozen times. Unfortunately, I will not be attending this year but hopefully you will be able to. Please let us know if you are, and please take as many pictures as you can. United We Find!

Update from Master Replicas:
With Celebration IV looming, we'd like to once again remind you Troopers who think you can wield a lightsaber to participate in the Force F/X Combat Trials. We've also learned the Yoda F/X lightsaber is nearly sold out, so you might want to pick that up before it vanishes. Also don't forget that Master Replicas is not only your number one source for movie props, they will handle the distrbution of Kotobukiya ARTFX statues. Be on the lookout for the Obi-Wan Kenobi RotS and the Luke Skywalker vs. Darth Vader (McQuarrie version). We've also learned later this week they'll have detailed information about the first wave of Star Wars Helmet Scaled Replicas, including: Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker's X-Wing Pilot, and Stormtrooper.

For more check out the full story on the incident was described as “a little hairy”. We can only hope that no one was seriously hurt, especially the maker!

Sandwatch Action Figure Review: Not bad for a piece of Rebel Scum!
Hey Troops, we're kicking off wave 2 of the T.A.C. Collection for our Sandwatch Action Figure review page and I'm glad to see we're getting a nice new dose of Episode IV figures with the Anniversary in full effect. Even though it's a Rebel, I think the Rebel Honor Guard was a very solid choice. Do you think they should continue to make figures with only a few seconds of screen time or would you rather see rehashed core characters? Feel free to offer your own feedback about the T.A.C. collection. Until then enter if you dare!

Sandtrooper Jedichirp Reports: 2 for 2!
“I went out this morning to look for some new Galactic Hero figs for my son after dropping him off at daycare and instead walked away with some figs for myself!! In Indy, the Target in East Street had Wave 2 of the 30th Anniversary figs and I picked up what I needed there— Boba Fett, Death Star Gunner, and Rebel Honor Guard. No more Fetts on the pegs but there were some of the rest of that wave left. Good luck troops. It looks like this wave is hitting this area lately as I, along with David (BobaBinks), found this same wave at TRU yesterday in Greenwood! Looks like they're hitting in more than one spot.”

Sandtrooper Rojo Reports: Execute the Order
“Rojo here in Houston. Order 66 has been executed at Target. I received a heads up from DarthRob. The figures were actually at the front of the store on a Target Exclusive Display. I picked up all the sets except that Yoda and the Kashyyyk Trooper were suspiciously missing, and strangely TAC Obi-Wan was the only remaining figure on the pegs. Hmm, how life imitates art. Lots of Vader coin albums, Padme Illum Packs were on sale and regular figures were 5.30 until tomorrow. Very Nice. I am in need of Yoda 66 and the Wookie Concept~ shoot me an email. With the Concept Vader, Luke, 3PO and R2, and Han coming out that should be a cool series to pick up. Lock'n & Load'n for C4. Happy Hunting,!”

Force of the Bay: Kiss of Death
It’s once again time for your favorite Space Case to invade the outskirts of Ebay. I realize I’m no Ace Frehley, but these auctions can hit as hard as some of his stadium riffs. As these blared throughout the airways in the late 1970’s the Star Wars phenomenon hit theatres and you’d be puzzled what people thought to keep in the attic. The offence can be just as tough as the defense, in some cases you’ll only need to add sand. You could cook up an old dish, put those old card backs to use or find a nice custom for the most valuable figure of all time until that lottery ticket hits. It’s not the safest place to go commando and I’m not talking about rolling with no undershorts! Just show the neighbors which Intergalactic Gangster is running things in your neighborhood. Remember Sandtroopers.com neither endorses nor authenticates any of the items featured here. Good luck to you Troopers in your searches, Kick A#$ and take names!

Sandtrooper Jedichirp Reports:
Still STanding!“Hi Troops. I decided to do something for myself today and go look for some new figs. I was planning on doing this about a week ago but never made it out. I did find a few that I hadn’t put on my shelf yet. I hit up Toys R Us in Greenwood, Indiana and they had some of the Wave 2 30th Anniversary figs. I picked up Biggs, Luke (Ceremonial), and Han (Gunner). They also had the X-Wing (Dagobah) and the new AT-AT. Also, Wal-Mart on US 31 had the Treachery Saleucami on the shelves this morning. Good luck in your searches, Troops!”

Unleashed Update: Wave 18
In March 2007, Wal-Mart stores once again became the destination for many followers of the 7-inch Unleashed Line in order to get a hold of Wave 18, sold at the chain retailer as their exclusive.

This was probably one of the lamest re-release waves in the history of Unleashed. With so many fans clamoring for Yoda, removable helmet Vader and the original Stormtrooper (to name a few), Hasbro opted to offer two recently peg warming, clearanced out figures and a repainted character. Another giant erroneous maneuver by the company driving the Line a complete head on collision and end of the road. See the picture and read the review of perhaps Unleashed final moments. Enjoy!
